Pros: Very quiet but reasonably near town by walking. All little touches by Chris and his wife eg chocs every day in room. Comfortable room and bed! Excellent breakfast. Freedom to come and go as we liked.
Cons: Entrance to car park a little tricky initially and steps to reception a bit arkward for the elderly!

Pros: Varied breakfast menu with the added option of vegetarian sausage - so I could enjoy a full English breakfast. Very good complimentary drinks 'tray' in the room itself with the option of fresh milk from reception (although there was the steri milk in the room). TV with integral DVD player was a good idea - not for myself per-se but for families - and extensive collection of DVD's to chose from in the lobby. All in all, very well thought out and executed.

Pros: Excellent location excellent room Friendly staff Lovely food
Cons: the shower in the bathroom was not good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old building, set in the heart of Dunston.
Cons: Nothing
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Apart from that quibble over a staff member's attitude, we loved absolutely everything. Excellent owners, very attentive and friendly. The room was very comfortable, and as others have noted, a welcome sherry in the room. Just minutes from the Castle, so location is also great.
Cons: Nothing to really dislike. The only small quibble would be re a staff member who has a 'let me find a problem' attitude, rather than the can-do approach taken by the owners. I wasn't happy that she insisted on taking our order for food before she would take our order for drinks. We then waited 15 mins for her to return to ask about our drinks. On the four occasions we spoke to her, her initial response was always negative. A small example: we talked to a lovely couple in the bar, who were hoping to just have a small bite or a starter with drinks, but they were pretty abruptly sent away by this staff member - we did see them later coming out of a very upmarket hotel, obviously having had no problem at all with their request there!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We needed a place to stay overnight whilst visiting nearby and found DCH on booking.com at the last minute. We were looked after for our very late check-in and stayed in a very clean and pleasant room at the top of the hotel. Really enjoyed our breakfast the following morning, hash browns yum! Thanks for a great stay
Cons: Nothing significant.

Pros: We received a very warm welcome a delicious breakfast and a very comfy bed
7,9 Good
Pros: Good quiet location for getting to the places I wanted to visit. Fantastic variety for breakfast which was prepared with loving care. The only problem was choosing what to have; as the menu changed every day this could be difficult but it was lovely to have such a variety to choose from. If this was the only problem of the day it was no real problem at all.
Cons: First impressions of the outside was that it was a bit dreary and needed a bit of an update but inside it was lovely. I had problems getting the wi fi signal from my room I had to stand outside my door in the corridor to get it and hope that nobody thought that I was lurking, my only intent was to get a signal.

Pros: sitting outside .... and" leaving this hotel"!!!
Cons: water stains on bathroom ceiling ! understaffed at the bar/ food ordering. the girl kept apologizing. poor thing! ... at reception ... when someone was there , very indigent! . the hotel is right on a busy corner.the food was poor!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We have stayed at this hotel a few times and we just love it. The staff are always friendly. The location is great and there is ample car parking. The rooms are always fantastic - even when you are paying the cheapest rate. It is always good and we would always return.
Cons: The food could be better. Some dishes are good but some slightly miss the mark. I’m a vegetarian and the vegetarian dishes weren’t great, although they were obviously trying which is appreciated. I would suggest they try something simpler in future as the meat options which are simple looked much better.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Gill is a very friendly and helpful host.
Cons: The twin share room was a disappointment when compared with the internet photos. The bathroom in particular was very much in need of a facelift. While the beds were comfortable, the head boards and bases were very old, worn and scratched. The top bedcovers were quite ‘tired’ and did not give the room a welcoming air. In a nutshell, this B&B could do with a fresh overhaul.

Cons: The shower rail was broken and we were at the top
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, plenty of in room tea making facilities, Very clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Tv was very small.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was a very good size, nice and clean and good view out to the main street running through the town. The breakfast was also very good. The cooked breakfast was buffet style and represented excellent VFM.
Cons: We chose to take advantage of the evening dinner at £25 per head. While on the face of it this represents good VFM, the 3 courses were of a mixed standard. My wife’s soup starter was very tasty but my Italian salad was poor and straight from the packaging. The sun dried tomatoes we’re swimming in oil and one piece of prosciutto was disappointing. The main course was nice but the veg was well over-cooked. Finally the cheese board was a good size but had come straight from the fridge - this seriously dumbed down the flavour. As I’d ordered the cheese in advance I think they should have considered allowing it to reach room temperature. The restaurant room was also very tired and confused and could do with a little investment.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were very friendly and helpful, limited parking around hotel but they gave you parking permits to use main car park to Dunster which was 2 minute walk from Hotel

Pros: The staff were very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast was very good and the bed really comfy. A lovely setting in a pretty village - like stepping back in time- out of a scene in a Miss Marples story. The area is surronded in history.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Location of the cottage and the surrounding area are set in the most beautiful countryside....
Cons: Nothing it was just perfect
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Although a little hard to find, the location of Tudor Cottage is amazing, along a single-lane road and "in the middle of nowhere" in a tiny village. Within 15 minutes' walking we reached the stone beach and outside the windows is only nature with rabbits and pheasants just outside the cute backyard. We loved the feeling of truely being in England with the very cute house overgrown with ivy and with tilted walls and creaking floor boards. We were the only guests that night and had a very quiet night and great home-cooked breakfast in the morning. There was also parking in the back as promised. We also loved our small room, which was very cosy with a little window nook and walls with very weird angles at places ;) The private bathroom was along the tiny hallway, where there were DVDs and books to borrow.
Cons: As Bossington is just a tiny village, there are no shops, pubs or restaurants around. If one is not opposed to walking a bit, there is a town 2 miles along a single-lane road, which was easy to walk with not a lot of traffic. We walked there along the road for dinner and then back along the beach which was nicer than driving there. And after all, that's the beauty of spending a night in the middle of nature, so no complaints from us!

Pros: A B&B of exceptional quality, located in a village of character, with listed buildings galore and a rich history. The hosts could not have been more welcoming and the room was spacious and comfortable, ideal for a four day break. The breakfast was an absolute treat, freshly cooked and catering for a wide range of tastes. We would love to go back!

Pros: Excellent Guest House! Wonderful good-quality food! Good, friendly service.
Cons: Only drawback is parking, which is difficult in the whole of Dunster. The landlord has permits for the National Trust car park but it is a walk away - so not really suitable for people who aren't mobile.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Varied breakfast menu with the added option of vegetarian sausage - so I could enjoy a full English breakfast. Very good complimentary drinks 'tray' in the room itself with the option of fresh milk from reception (although there was the steri milk in the room). TV with integral DVD player was a good idea - not for myself per-se but for families - and extensive collection of DVD's to chose from in the lobby. All in all, very well thought out and executed.
Cons: For what I was doing there - literally a room to sleep - I really can't think of anything to be improved upon.
