Pros: Great stay best Hotel experience in south beach

Pros: The design.

Cons: They neglected to inform us of the jackhammer work being done above our room from 10:00 to 5:30 two days of our 4 Day 25 yr anniversary stay which was overrated at best. If we had known in advance of the work being done we would definitely not have chosen this property. They did NOT offer us a different room. Instead gave a small credit back. Very disappointing. Bad form. Unprofessional. Overpriced for everything. Drinks 23., Lunch, 300. At the pool. Not enough pool seating available. Had to use Kiddie Pool. Small Gym. Spa overpriced. The design of the Property is gorgeous, and the location is good. The breakfast is a nice buffet. But the policy of not informing paying customers and then leaving them in a horrible situation is irresponsible and unprofessional.

Pros: The staff was absolutely wonderful, from check-in until check-out they were there to help with every need! The hotel was very clean and the location was perfect!

Pros: I am completely satisfied with staying in this hotel, the location for Miami Beach- is great. The hotel has beach access and own part of the beach and service of Setai guys on the beach- also nice. The breakfast is expensive, but it is absolutely excellent- you have everything you want and even more:) During the whole Sunday they has a jazz band with live music and a singer.

Pros: Absolutely stunning hotel! Service is top notch, rooms are spacious and have an impeccable style. The beach is beautiful and then swimming pool area is faboulous. We had the Sunday brunch and was great! Absolutely a recommend for us and we will always be coming back!!

Pros: A sea of tranquility in the Miami Beach party scene. Serene, elegant, quiet, and peaceful. Just what we needed.

Cons: The restaurants, while good, were never packed. Not much of a scene or bustle here.

Pros: Location great. We didn’t have breakfast, no one mentioned it. I probably missed it in the writing on my reservation somewhere. Jaya was incredible for dinner.

Cons: Housekeeping woke us up a few times. As we slept in because we were away from our 5 children and wanted to sleep more than normal. She was just doing her job though so I wouldn’t really say it was a huge negative. She cleaned very well.

Cons: Some staff were inattentive at pool bar, and pool chairs were all reserved for people who obviously weren't using them. Felt like service was lacking for a nice place like the setai.

Pros: Amazing pool and hotel garden, location, room size, restaurant, beach, beautiful historic art deco building

Cons: A bit unorganised staff. At the pool one can hear music from all neighboring hotels which mixed with the hotel‘s own music makes it a bit annoying.

Pros: Everything was extremely excellent i love it and my family as well definitely coming back again soon And I will recommend it to everyone but identify coming back again thank you to averyone. Im a very happy

Pros: We had a new get layover on our travels and choose the national hotel for its location. The room and decor and the whole hotel vibe were great and the staff was very accommodating. On our return home we had another layover and choose the national again and it did not disappoint. The staff was every so accommodating again

Pros: Great hotel experience. We picked National Hotel to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. The hotel provided us with a complementary room upgrade for our special occasion. Location was awesome, with the beach being right behind the hotel pool area and just walking distance to an outdoor mall. They also serve a great breakfast in the morning.

Pros: King bed was excellent with choice of foam or feather pillows. Outdoor areas, pool and beach access. Excellent shower with rainhead.

Cons: Couch and club chair were not comfortable. Fragrances in hallway and room were overpowering. Paying $42 per day for parking.

Cons: the location wasn't exactly on the beach shore as I expected, the room and decor were not up to date. The overall experience was rundown.

Pros: The Westgate is convenient to the beach, boardwalk and bike path and it had a heated pool so those are a plus but for the cost we could have done much better.

Cons: It is in an older building that they tried to update but you can feel the warped floors under the carpet. One of the main issues was noise. You can hear everything from the rooms around you. The first two days we told the front desk about the banging and loud footsteps from the room above us and they said they would talk to those guests. Then we realized they were not really doing anything other than just walking and closing doors. We felt bad because we probably were bothering them with our moderate volume TV. Next is parking. It costs $42 a day to park with them. When we checked in I asked about self parking and was told they had none. I was told there is metered parking but body language and tone made me feel like that would be risky so we opted for them to park our car. If we had known about that additional cost we would have stayed somewhere else. Also we were told to call down 10 -15 min before we needed our car. Turned out to be closer to 20 - 25 minutes. Last is that it is a timeshare and since we are not owners, everything cost more. We felt pressured for the first few days to attend their briefing even though we said no several times. Eventually they did stop asking.

Pros: The staff at this hotel was the most helpful and welcoming I have ever experienced in any hotel, ever. The location on the beach is spectacular and the amenities are lovely.

Pros: The location was great! It was convenient and we had a giant room. Very spacious. Everyone was nice and accommodating.

Cons: It wasn't as clean and luxurious as most 4 star hotels. Definitely more of a family hotel. Not as nice of a pool as the other similarly rated hotels and not as many amenities.

Cons: We had an awful experience straight from check in. The staff failed to give us instructions as to the location of our room. We had to wonder the halls until we ask someone else again and they were able to direct us to the right elevator. We ended up checking out early because how loud it was in the room, it sounded like we had a frat party next to our room. And then to top it off they lost our car in the valet and we had ro wait 30 minutes to get out car. And as we were getting in they even asked “are you sure this is your car?” Meaning they didn't even know if that was our car or not.

Pros: Great location, well maintained, polite staff, good restaurants, good bars, rooms are spacious view is outstanding.

Cons: One small thing called the wi-fi!! When it’s too crowded by the pool or loby it aint working and the beach as well. A small investment into routers could bring to a complete guest satisfaction.

Pros: The location is great. The room is quite spaceous and clean. The view from the balcony in my room was nice, and though it overlooked the pool, it was not noisy at all. The buffet breakfast at Nobu was very good, the assortment of food and its quality and service was on top. Beach chairs and covers were free, and there were no problems to get one even after noon.

Cons: Some of the days there were no towels or water at the gym, and noone to ask for it. It was quite impossible to get food or drinks at the beach bar, you have to go look for the staff yourself to make an order.

Cons: Check in did not go as expected. Room I booked and paid due was not as expected. I was told I was getting an upgrade but the upgrade was the same room our friends paid $600 less for. I was the only one out of our group that did not get the continental breakfast included and resort credit. Manager agreed to to comp my breakfast which was nice.

Pros: Staff were amazing, only went for one night but they could give us an upgrade, so they did! From wait staff to valet parking staff all were extremely pleasant and helpful

Pros: The ladies at reception were very nice and helpful, they even called to make sure everything was okay with the room once I got upstairs. The resort was clean and so was my room, would definitely stay here again

Pros: The location was perfect, 10 mins to get into the city and 5 mins to South Beach. The rooms were super nice and comfy. The beach is beautiful and the chairs Riu has are perfect for beach naps. Definitely take a morning stroll on the boardwalk before. We used Lyft to get around but there are free trolley cars. Make sure you wake up early to see the gorgeous sunrise and visit Wynwood in the city.

Cons: I didnt like the coffee they sold in the lobby. We walked a block to Starbucks every morning, and believe it or not Starbucks was cheaper than the lob coffee.

Pros: My reservation wasn't at the desk , it took me 30 minutes to check in.The key to the room they issued didn't work . I went up and down to the lobby 3 times for a new key before the maintenance man opened my room . II took 1 hour . staff was rude

Cons: My room was on the 6th floor the elevators were constantly out of order. No room service no food unless you want to pay $27.99 for buffets that dont have much to offer. The mixed drinks at the snack bar were all mixed and water down. The last day none of the elevators worked and they didnt even have people come help with our bags it was horrible. Etc I wont be back.

Pros: Good pool and location with access to the beach. The hotel is on the quiet side of Miami which makes it a good base camp to explore and to dip in and out of the other parts. Very relaxing around the pool

Cons: * In-Room dining option available; but they won't pick up the phone. Tried several times and then later called guest services. They would put me on hold for several minutes. I hung up and went outside to another cafe. * TV inside the room was not functioning. Call guest services and they took more than 1 hour to replace it with a correct TV. And even after that it would show just standard 8 channels. * Room cleanliness not up to the mark. Dust several places, bathroom also not meeting the mark of a good descent hotel. Shower pretty much useless.
