I bit noisy at times but overall it was a great place to stay.
Parking is very expensive.
Overall, the hotel was good however there was a defective TV in her bathroom that would turn on several times in the middle of the night. They were also dead spiders on the ceiling in the bathroom that we complained about that were not cleaned off before or after we complained about it first morning.
Malfunctioning bathroom tv kept us up for 2 nights. I reported it to maintenance twice but nobody fixed it. Overall, the hotel was good however there was a defective TV in the bathroom that would turn on severally times in the middle of the night. They were also dead spiders on the ceiling in the bathroom that we complained about that were not cleaned off before or after we complained about it first and again in the evening. We’ve been to the fountainblue many times in the past and this visit was not up to your normally high standards. Sincerely, Ed Kresch
No self parking, and valet did remove items from car. Hotel is okay, but it is expensive and loud. No coffee in room and $6 for a cup of coffee. 18% tip automatically added to all purchases. Bottom line - over the top expensive and hidden charges everywhere. Other places to stay are available on the beach - take advantage of them.
Food was good and it's the Fontainebleau, what more do I need to say.
Over priced cocktails and bottled water. But great otherwise.
Anniversary Trip
Luxurious and high end. Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful public areas and grounds. As clean as you’d expect a ‘50s refurb to be. Loved the photos of Rat Pack hey day.
Valet never answers phone. Have to go there and wait. Valet went through my belongings and changed my radio stations. At $48 per night to park, felt this invasion inappropriate. Lots of non- published fees. Pools and amenities very crowded.
The Paradise Next Door
The accommodations and amenities are superb. Fontainebleau really lives up to its reputation.
Some of the food and drinks are quite expensive.
Almost there
The pools and the staff were amazing. Some of the restaurants food was amazing others were not worth eating. Some of the chicken was not worth eating.
Our room was dirty when we arrived. Nothing had been dusted in a long while. Floor was vacuumed and there was garbage under the desk and the curtains and the sides of the bed. They have cleaning fees, which were not specified on the website when we booked.
Coffee shop was Always crowded and very slow - they need a bigger place for coffee-tea in the morning!! Or open another so there arent 1500 people all trying to get a cuppa in one small shop - also people drink tea - 1 selection, really?
Large, luxury property
Lots of upscale dining options within resort. Beach and pool options were nice. Great couples resort. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very good service in all of the restaurant. I visited each restaurant for Miami spice week. Good security.
Housekeeping was lacking. Trash stayed in the hall the whole day. Leave in the morning and return in the afternoon and trash still in halls. Used plates outside of door next to my room.when I checked in in the afternoon and it was still there in the evening after returning from dinner. They have lots of people working in that hotel and someone should responsible for retrieving room service items. Carpets should be swept daily. All staff should be like on cruise ships if you see tissues or paper littering an area you get rid of it, not wait for someone else. Ocean drive would have been a great area because you if leave the hotel and there are other options. Fontainebleau is isolated. I gave up trying to find a Starbucks or drugstore.
Historic
Historic hotel but kept as a new facility.
Memorabilia from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr
Do not waste your money here...
It was nice being on the beach. The pool area is beautiful.
The rooms are dated. No recent upgrades. Cleanliness is questionable. Everything is super expensive on the property. $12 for a ginger ale, $10 for a bottle of water, and $30 for an alcoholic beverage on the beach. Doesn't make sense when you are supplied with the most generic soap, shampoo, and conditioner in your room. Nothing is beautiful in the actual hotel rooms. Only the amenities, restaurants, lobby, and pool areas are aesthetically Pleasing. I will not stay there ever again.
