Cons: The lady wanted to put us in a beatle. I ordered 5 passenger car with two bags. She wanted to make us pay $70 more for a similar car. I showed her what we ordered and insisted she upgrade us if she didn't have what we ordered. After threats to call Avis and complain she then was able to find a car and keep the original price. Not happy with how she handled herself or represented the company. Your staff needs to be retrained. I will question if I will use your company again because of how we were treated.

Cons: That it was not possible to drop off the car at the end of the rental. I had to keep the car overnight at my own expense.

Cons: We had a reservation. Avis even said they had our reservation. But they had no cars. So, yeah, that wasn't ver helpful.

Cons: Key was stuck in the ignition, I could not leave the car alone so it ruined my entire day.

Cons: Wait time was a little longer than i anticipated but I saw that the counter staff were trying to help non English speakers which takes a bit more time

Cons: The rental is open 8am - 5pm, but after 5pm cant return the car.

Cons: that price went from $50 to $97 for one night rental. Most expensive rental I have ever had.

Cons: After 3 hr. drive, engine started rattling. Next day there was 0 oil in engine. Spent 2 solid hrs on phone with road assistance. Had to wait almost 24 hrs to get a new car.

Cons: Everything was good.

Cons: Our car wasn’t available despite the fact we prepaid. 6 hours after we planned to pick up car we got a call it was ready for us.

Cons: When we arrived the location was packed with people and it was an over 2 hour wait to get our car.

Cons: I didn't like the brand of the car

Cons: I got to the place at 8:15am and it was not opened. The sign says open at 8am, but only the car maintenance guy was there and he did not have the keys to the door. He called the manager of that location, and the manager stated that the person that opens at that location had to go to the hospital; I can understand that. I then called Budget customer service and they said that there was a Budget 20 blocks up the road, but that we needed to find a way to the other location. They have a shuttle that goes from the airport to that location, but could not have the shuttle pick us up and take us to the location; which is further from the airport from the location that two others and I, who had reservations, were waiting for. Finally an employee opened the door at 8:55am. The car that I got had damage on it and you can tell that its been in an it. Also, I had to argue back and forth with the maintenance guy for a few minutes to put air in a tire that my wife and I can obviously see was flat. We had to travel nearly 300 miles to our destination and would not take the risk of riding on a flat tire.

Cons: Ripped us off. Will be getting in touch with corporate. Rude service upon return.

Cons: They took out extra money because of their mistake and after they did not return the full amount. I will never again take the car in Budget. In the Budget - budgetary service ...

Cons: 1- The gas tank was full, and I returned it with half a tank. Usually rental companies charge a small premium for the gas if you don't bring the car back with as much gas as it had it the tank when you got it, but I war HORRIFIED to learn that the cost of buying the gas through Budget$10/gallon gas through Budget was $10/gallon!!!!! So I had to take the car back out of the structure, and gas up, which ordinarily isn't a problem. However, I was visiting Miami during Art Basel, and traffic was the worst I've ever experienced in my live (I'm from LA). So that was a shame that I couldn't take advantage of the convenience factor of returning the car half full without paying $10/gallon for gas. 2- During the booking process, Kayak offered me insurance on the rental. It mentioned that the insurance was being bought through Alianz, the 3rd party insurance provider, but I presumed I would pay for this at the rental counter. In fact the insurance was pre-paid, and while it was cheaper than Budget's insurance at the counter, I wish I'd have had the option to buy this insurance at the counter.

Cons: This was an awful experience. Showed up with a reservation, and after waiting in an empty office for 20 min, someone finally showed up and said they were completely backed up and didn’t have any cars available whatsoever. 13 groups of people were waiting ahead of me who had been there for hours waiting. We had a 2 day car rental, and they said they couldn’t guarantee a car by tomorrow. What’s the point of a reservation if they don’t give you a car? They shouldn’t have given us a reservation if they didn’t have cars available because we could have at least rented from another company. We had to lyft the rest of the weekend, which was a pain because we have newborns and car seats.

Cons: I’ve come to rent agency, and there are no any cars available.

Cons: I had booked the car for 9.00am. at 11.00 was not yet available, I had to cancel and cancel everything.

Cons: They didn’t have cars and the confirmation was not honored. I lost the insurance bought from Allianz and offered by Kayak when making the booking.

Cons: The Miami Beach place is terrible. We've rented using Enterprise in other locations and it was good, but here it was different. They said they don't have the car we rented and "that's it". Didn't offer us another option, or at least another locations where we can go. They even told me that my phone was not valid.. I told them to try while I was there and they didn't want. Very bad experience, will never rent with them again.

Cons: Car was not available (overbooking) and after showing disappointment was given a dirty, scratched and overall bad condition car. When car was returned (on time as per contract), I got the relevant receipt with the correct due amount but when I checked my account I saw a $ 175 surcharge. I have submitted a complaint on HERTZ's website and am still waiting for their reaction and refund.

Cons: Having complained three times to Hertz since my return, and not being satisfied with the responses, I will now be writing to Kayak to ask you not to deal with them any more until the alter how they deal with customers. Rather than an expected approx $40 to be charged on collection, I was charged over $150 for things I did not understand and have struggled to have Hertz explain to me since. This was despite having a pre-paid insurance (via Kayak) that I showed at the collection desk and have also sent to Hertz since. They are frankly terrible to deal with and I will be writing to you with fuller details.

Cons: The car's air conditioning conked out on the drive to Palm Beach from Miami. It seemed that the engine for this small car just was not able to handle highway speed and AC. However, interestingly, on the return drive, the AC worked fine. (Perhaps it just needed the 3 hour rest it had.) The on screen person for the return processing, did not know that he was supposed to process returns -- he got up, went to see his supervisor, I think, and returned then knowing that he was supposed to process returns. He may have been new, but was clearly not well trained. Odd. The car's back seat was rather dirty -- looked like the vacuum just missed it. Fortunately, we just needed the front seats. Overall, I would not rent that particular car again, but the experience was mediocre, not terrible, in general.

Cons: I was told that the tank was full, but about a half hour into driving, I saw that I only had a quarter tank of gas. I know I should have checked, but I had no reason to question this.

Cons: We have cancelled the reservation because hertz was no cars available !!!! In this hertz you have the right to one phone and the camera for take the car....

Cons: Hertz is not in the rental car business. They're in the insurance business. Insurance cost 3x the rental cost of the car. Irritating.

Cons: Dropoff kiosk was out of order (hertz knew that already during pickup) and still they sent us to the kiosk location that could not take the car resulting in 2hrs of nightmare talking to incompetent call center agents on where to drop the car off, some even asking to drop the car off at the airport 1hr drive away! The worst hertz service I have ever had.

Cons: They claim there is a balance on a rental in Switzerland from two years ago. They refused to rent me the car, although they had not details. I will block payment through the credit card company, of course.

Cons: First, I arrived to the garage to return on time but had to wait five minutes for the agent to get to me. Ultimately he ended up registering me one minute after my return time leading to an entire hour surcharge. That's (a) not my fault and (b) ridiculous that there's no five minute grace period to account for their time to service. Second, I was told "Miami Port" was the airport by the rental agent even when I asked if he was sure that it was "the airport" and not "Port of Miami." He said yes, and that it's just weird that they say it like that. When I arrived I was charged a different rate than what had originally been quoted to me in the reservation.

Cons: No car and abhorrent customer service

Cons: When I arrived to pick-up my car that morning, there were no cars available at the pick-up location. When I asked the attendant when some would be arriving she made a two minute phone call. She said that none were scheduled to come in that day and I would need to go to the airport to pick-up a car. This was not an option since I did not have a car, nor the time go the 20+ miles to the airport during rush hour to get a car.

Cons: Absolutely horrible. They didn't have a car for me even if bought I had a reservation. Made me go to the airport. Then wanted me to pay 350 for a Camry.

Cons: Outgoing rental agency was slow and disorganized. Vehicle exterior was dirty and it only had 1/4 tank of fuel so I had to stop for fuel shortly after getting the car

Cons: The employee arrived late, after the opening hour. We can't dropoff outside business hours ans there is no free parking on Miami beach, so we had to pay USD$19 for the parkijng (1 night) to bring back the car the morning after... Which makes the overall rental price much higher than expected.

Cons: Rental agent was very pushy about buying the toll road option.

Cons: Change fees should not be more than an entire rental for one full week. Thrifty is stealing.

Cons: I was given a reservation for a car rental from a location and company that was no longer in business was there. I was given a reservation for a car in Payless rental car but when I went to the location it was a Budget rental car and they said they do not accept reservations from Payless.

Cons: they did not have system so could not rent the car!

Cons: You made a reservation for a company that doesn’t work out of that location anymore so when I went to get the car they did not accept the reservation so I had to make a walk-in reservation with them at twice the rate because I didn’t have a choice.
