Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. The room was large but badly painted and cheaply decorated. Ceiling paint on the bathroom tiles. Very old and stained light switches. Te bed cracked every time I moved so woke me up. We were in the older East tower.

Pros (+) Location is great, bikes are great.

Cons (-) Breakfast service was sooooo slow. We waited like 20’ to get only water. Only had cold water in the room.... and staff wasn’t responsive to fix it in a timely manner for us to have a hot shower... pool area is not nicely designed, lacks atmosphere. Royal Palm is milking a goat. Would not go back, there are better options for this price.

Pros (+) Ton's of hotels to choose from and for the money, this one is fine.. resort fee is a bit silly given what's included vs. other hotels on the beach, but the room rate was modest and there's a parking garage right across the street.. net, net the economics are good.. staff great and location about as good as it gets..

Cons (-) Pool was heavily chlorinated. resort fees are hard to justify, all said..

The South Beach hotels were generally booked for New Years Eve, so we were happy to have a confirmed reservation. When we arrived at the hotel in New Years Eve, we were told by the front desk staff member that it reservation didn't exist. We looked up or confirmation and confirmed that we had prepaid via credit card....

Pros (+) It's right on the beach!

Cons (-) Housekeeping staff took my iPhone 6 charger and took the bottles of alcohol that I bought and placed in the fridge. They also took my razors. Also noticed that while they are on the floors cleaning they keep all of the doors open even if they have other people's property in them which makes it really easy for someone else to go in to your room and take your stuff.
