10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Janet and Stuart were most hospitable. On arrival we were greeted and given a map of Warwick with many recommendations of where to eat and things to do. We were shown to our room in this amazing 15th century property. It’s quirks were truly delightful. The whole property was immaculately clean throughout. The little touches like chocolates on your pillow and the honesty bar make all the difference to your stay. We were there for the races and Janet came with the racing page on Saturday morning so we could study the form. As for the breakfast, well outstanding. Locally produced bacon and sausage which were delicious. I travel and stay away with work a lot, and I can honestly say I have not received such fantastic customer service in a long time. We will definitely be going back . Thank you

Hampton Manor - Solihull - Bedroom
2
9,5 Excellent (238 reviews)
R3 569+
Overview
Once owned by Sir Robert Peel, Hampton Manor used to host the cream of British society, but today it’s better known for its acclaimed restaurant and distinctly unstuffy atmosphere. It was Sir Robert’s son Frederick who transformed the house into the gothic showpiece it is today, complete with an ornate clock tower, walled garden and grand rooms fit for lavish entertaining. These historic features are now back to their best, but owners James and Fjona have also breathed new life into the 45-acre estate, sweeping away stiffness in favour of a more familial atmosphere. The individually designed rooms are now bright and welcoming, with period features mingled with bold colours and striking patterns. Michelin-starred restaurant Peel’s is cut from similar cloth, serving delectable British cuisine in a grand yet casual dining room, which also plays host to gin, wine and whisky tastings held around a communal table.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, clean, service, location
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything about Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa, and will return as soon as possible. The hotel itself is beautiful, as are the stunningly landscaped grounds. Even at the end of December, they looked lovely, and there were still a few roses blooming. The staff were all both professional and welcoming. We had our small dog with us, and they provided a lovely soft dog bed, a box of dog treats, waste baggies, and sparkling clean water and food bowls. We had dinner in the Brasserie as the main dining room was in use for a Christmas party. It was excellent. It was modern, but not freaky modern...as if an old building had been modernized well (although it is in a new building). It was very comfortable and lovely. The food was excellent, a large step above fine gastro pub, and the service was impeccable. The next morning, we had breakfast in the main house: the room was much more traditional, and really conveyed the feeling that one was having breakfast in a fine country home, but a very well-kept and well decorated one. Again, the staff was superb, and the breakfast choices were exceptional. My husband had a Full British, but I had two poached eggs on sliced avocado on sourdough toast. The coffee was excellent, as well. I have nothing--not one single thing--to complain about. The Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa is perfect for us in every way. I might possibly be planning my work life to permit of additional visits as frequently as possible.
Cons: Can't say a thing. There was nothing, absolutely nothing, that was in any way inferior.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts, clean with all the essentials provided. Will definitely be back...
Cons: Bathroom had a sloping roof which led to some head leaning when using the facilities. In fairness, in order to provide an en suite there would be no other way of fitting everything in, so not a complaint from me, just an observation
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was tasty with lots to choose from.
Cons: Only the bed was too soft for me.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good service and location
Cons: Furniture are very old
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Different to the average hotel, which might be the understatement of the decade. So close to Coventry centre, yet feels like it's deep in the countryside. Absolutely oozing character and history. A photo delight. Sumptuous breakfast. An air of calm about the place. Great. Wonderful. An all-too-brief escape back in time. Can't wait to go back...
Cons: Whilst breakfast was mostly lovely, the scrambled egg wasn't good. Otherwise, nothing else. It was raining outside. I didn't win the lottery. Etc.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room. The menu. The facility. The staff. Fantastic . Fantastic. Loved everything. Fantastic value for money. Great views from the room. This was the best place that we stayed in on our 6 week UK holiday. They even arranged a private dinning area for a dinner party we had because they understood there was a special needs child attending that evening. Nothing was to problem . They even took some family photos of us at their suggestion. Absolutely fantastic.
Cons: Nothing. Love it all.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Surrounding view
Cons: Bad ventilation Dirty floor and unstable while we walk (crazy noise) Unfriendly staff
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are brilliant, lovely, kind, polite, attentive, customer service that is missing in many places now. The view from room was awesome, size of room and bed really good too. Afternoon tea is the best, and breakfast okay, missing black pudding!!
Cons: Had a feature room upgrade, with heart flower petals which cost extra. Petals we're tacky, old fabric and plastic petals. Room was tired, random curtain valance which was all uneven and looked thrown up, worn chairs and settees, taps old and didn't work properly. Room was very cold, reception turned the heating up in the evening but in the night was freezing, I needed to get up in the night but it was too cold to get out of bed! Two pairs of slippers presuming one of us had diddy feet! We don't! House keeping knocked on door in morning before we were up. We only stayed one night, surely could have waited for us to check out
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Impressive building in beautiful grounds.
Cons: Inefficient room heating.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast fabulous.
Cons: Car broken into in car park. Paying for car parking, don’t agree with. Checkout too early especially with disabled parents. Breakfast finished a little too early too.
6,0 Good
Pros: Beautiful building in a lovely setting.
Cons: We checked in at a very busy time, there was a long queue and minimal staff on the desk who were struggling to cope with demand. Unfortunately this led to a long delay and very little time to prepare for the event. My suggestion would be to put more staff/knowledgeable staff on the front desk to cope with increased demand during events.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: very nice spa facilities very nice comfortable room perfect location for touchwood shopping centre
Cons: staff at breakfast were not very friendly.Did not show us to our table or offer coffee or cooked options
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was fabulous and the leisure club was a lovely treat. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Our room was above a function room with a noisy birthday party, however after a brief chat with reception staff we were quickly moved to another room which was much quieter and bigger.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: They gave us a room in a quiet zone so the baby wouldn't be disturbed. We got a very quiet room and were delighted.
Cons: Room service wasn't great. Stained teaspoons in the coffee/tea caddy were worrying. The baby's crib had a solid base and he really didn't like it. We used the bedspread from our bed as a mattress and he slept straight away. The next morning Room Service put the bedspread back on our bed. Obviously a comfy baby isn't a priority

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness all very good. Comfortable too.
Cons: Poor shower and charging £5 for 2x330ml bottles of water in the room seems very petty and overpriced for a “Hilton”. They should include the water or not leave it in the room in my opinion.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good customer service
Cons: Charge for water in the room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Martine on Reception, a credit to your hotel and business, friendly, professional and really really welcoming
Cons: Nothing, great value every time
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff at reception were absolutely lovely - helpful and informative. Big fan of the cookie warmer! Great security. Lovely, clean room and great amenities.
Cons: Needs to be made clear that parking is £8 as that may have altered our decision to stay. We were quite disappointed that after paying for a room parking was not included. Reception area and area by bar smelled strongly of smoke.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast options were vast. Bedroom size was really good. Cleanliness of the room was great.
Cons: In bedroom description it states soundproofing, not the case. Person in the room above us was exceptionally noisy from 1am-3am. Have emailed the hotel but not had a response as yet. Also, I was lead to believe this was a queen room (it’s implied as a queen bed/large double bed). Thought this would be a nice perk of the stay but it wasn’t any bigger than our standard king size bed at home.
7,9 Good
Pros: Clean, very modern , had all the facilities you need
Cons: Unfortunately the air conditioning didn’t work and whilst we were offered a fan the room was very stuffy and hot
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is good and close to local amenity but few min drive to the city centre.
Cons: I can't find anything that I did not like.

Pros: Everything. Staff were amazing as was the food.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Firstly the check in was the quickest and friendliest I have ever experienced, it took about 20 seconds from my arrival to being shown to my large, spotless room. The shower was excellent. I would also like to thank the staff who made me feel very welcome, from housekeeping and breakfst staff to those behind the bar who always found time for a quick chat and jokey exchange. I would also like to especially thank Tory (Victoria) who was friendly and funny throughout my stay and who made sure that my breakfast was completely gluten free and always went that extra mile to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. By the way, the poached eggs were probably among the best I have tasted, and the breakfast was huge; I didn't need to eat again that day.
Cons: I can't think of anything that didn't meet or exceed my expectations.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing. The property is beautiful and there’s a gorgeous atmosphere. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was amazing. Staff can’t do enough to help, our tv wasn’t working so they moved us to a room where the tv was working. Lovely stay and definitely would recommend!
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and simple and the pub and restaurant so lovely. Food really good. Couldn't ask for me for a quick getaway.
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast fab. Staff very friendly.
Cons: Rooms dated with windows having film over glass, no view from windows, room cold, radiator did not work had to use air conditioning unit to warm room. Decor dated and horrible carpets in bedrooms, floor noisy - creaking floor boards. Coffee machine did not work.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location in perfect to explore the centre area, close to the racecourse and other attractions. The staff are amazing! They take a lot of time to look after you.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The quality of the fittings, furniture and "extras" in the bedroom. How accommodating everyone was towards our dog. The range of selection and price and quality of food on the evening menu.
Cons: Although the cooked breakfast and selection of pastries was excellent, it would have been a good idea to have also had some fruits and yogurts available.

Pros: Very good breakfast as always and efficient, polite staff.

6,0 Good
Pros: Excellent location, near lots of bars and restaurants. Very good quality breakfast, with reasonable choices available. Superior room we booked was huge and very attractive. Staff were very nice.
Cons: Room was up some very steep steps. There were two beds and we had to change to the second bed during the night as the first one was very uncomfortable. The second one was better but not anywhere near as comfortable as we were expecting. There was no grab rail in the bath/shower and no anti slip mat. The bath panel was badly cracked. The heating went off during the night and the bathroom in particular was very chilly. If we had been staying more than the one night we would probably have asked to have these issues addressed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Clean
6,0 Good
Pros: Good central location . Clean pleasant hotel, nice room, very comfortable bed! We were given a very warm welcome on arrival.
Cons: The hotel was very quiet which seemed to result in minimal staff . However, whilst this makes sense it resulted in us having to ask reception staff to serve at the bar in the evening. This resulted in us feeling uncomfortable for disturbing them and a very slow response time for actually coming to the bar and serving us.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel appears clean and bright and bed was really comfy. Good breakfast, porridge just right!
Cons: This is an old hotel which has been tastefully decorated but as such, like all old hotels, has creaky floorboards..

Pros: This is one of the better Holiday Inns - helped by a recent refurbishment. It offers decent size warm and cosy rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Nice bar downstairs too.Staff are young, enthusiastic and helpful. It’s also the perfect location near to both the high street shops, pubs and restaurants and Kenilworth Castle. Some lovely walking in the area too.
Cons: While our room was warm, for some reason there was no heating in the bathroom. Bar is a little too brightly lit.

Pros: Cleanliness of hotel.
Cons: High level of noise from the bar after 11.30 which was directly below my room. Singing clearly heard up until 3am in the morning. No complimentary water in the room which when you are paying £95 should be a given. Breakfast - cold croissants DIY breakfast is not good enough. No tables set with cutlery, sat in a room where stools where stacked definitely not prepared for breakfast dining.

Pros: The staff are amazing and so geared up for customer service this was a particularly emotional return to the hotel as my husband birthday and I in the 1980s was a chambermaid and promoted to assistant housekeeping Informing the team of this when I was there was so well received amazing team
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and room itself was very good and as expected, very clean and comfortable and staff very friendly. The location is great for any needs in and around the Leamington or Kenilworth areas as I was attending a function in Leamington. Would stay again.
Cons: Thought I would try room service for the first time and can say it will certainly be the last time. I ordered a pint of beer and a standard burger with chips which came to £25.00! A little steep but even more ridiculous when you take into account that on arrival there were traces of spilt beer all over the tray and the quality of the food was abysmal. For that kind of price you should at the very least expect a hot meal rather than a leather like burger and cold chips. Don't waste money on it if I were you.

Pros: Beautiful old hotel, most staff pleasant and helpful. Rooms lovely and big and clean. Lovely swimming pool.
Cons: Breakfast very sparse, no hash browns, yoghurt and very expensive for what you got, certainly not value for money.
7,1 Good
Pros: It was clean and comfortable.
Cons: When I arrived in my room the trouser press was hanging off the wall, there was a dirty cup in the tea tray and there was no booklet to tell you about the hotel facilities, safety instructions etc. I tried to ring down to reception to order room service however there was no answer. I had to go back down and when I spoke with the Receptionist, she didn’t seem bothered and directed me to the bar where I eventually ordered something to eat. I have to say, the bar person was helpful and friendly.

Pros: Rooms very comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. Excellent choice at breakfast
Cons: The dinner was abysmal. Limited choice. Hardly anyone in the restaurant and even then from our party of three all could not have selected choice out of the limited menu as only 2 portions available. Food that arrived was very poor quality and practically inedible.
