Pros: It’s a stone throw away from the main Istanbul attractions. It’s a beautiful hotel in the old city...soo much charm. The gardens are absolutely stunning and the staff are amazing. My kids received little gifts every day which they loved it made their stay so special. Concierge was soooo helpful in sorting out whatever we asked them to or helping with planning our day etc. it’s a stunning hotel and I will be back next time I’m in Istanbul !

Pros: This is the second time in two years our travels took us to Istanbul. Both times we experienced the unusual - even by Four Seasons standards - helpful attitude of Manager Serkan O. He was proactive and thoughtful in providing services above and beyond, which were hard to do on short notice, including making arrangements for transport to the airport, finding space in the already fully booked on-site restaurant, and engaging into mutually interesting exchanges that made us feel like we were at home. Otherwise, we feel that it is uniquely convenient to stay in this Four Seasons location (a former prison now remodeled into a unique hotel) in the old city near the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and Grand Bazaar. We also took the hotel's very luxurious boat to the Four Seasons Bosphorus, then walked back via the pedestrian street Istiklal. Our room was large and luxurious. The on-site restaurant has many wonderful dishes, with a charming garden mascot. The rooftop bar offers stunning views of the Hagia Sophia. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Istanbul.

Cons: All excellent ! 2 small details only : Interior lighting only , I thing needs small improvement . Should have dimmers for users to be able to have more intense vibrant light whenever needed ( for example to read or write sth ) Also small detail .. for the curtains.. which were closing by remote control ( that was really excellent and cool!!!! );still It would be more practical and flexible if they could close separate on each window (not all together)And 2 operation only things for the elegant spa area located at the basement : 1) they should have some promotion for hotel residents ( it’s common at most 5* hotels to offer a discount at most services for their customers ( massage, hammam etc ) and 2) they should stay later open in the night . Since Istanbul is an amazing city(!!) , it’s difficult to get back so early( 7 pm ) to have enough time for the spa ( it was closing at 9pm )

Cons: They need to pay attention to the room maintenance more. On the first night I found 4 light bulbs not working in our room, the bathrobe had a large tear under the arm and most of the TV channels didn't work. After reporting this to the front desk the next morning only one of the light bulbs was replaced. Perhaps the others were too difficult for the house maid to fix. The front desk said they knew about the TV channels not working but shugged it off. It shows the lack of attention to detail shown by the head of housekeeping not to have each room signed off by a supervisor.

Cons: Broken bed/ misplaced luggage/ no toilet paper provided: specifically, we were in a duplex suite with an extra bed that was broken and took all night to get staff to replace...Misplaced luggage that almost caused us to mis our flight despite email requests, clear directions on 2 occasions...NO APOLOGY...wouldn’t provide toilet paper or body wash without calling directly and were treated as if we were inconveniencing the staff

They offer us - complimentary - breakfast for next morning . The roof terrace is very nice , with a spectacular view. In the restaurant we met a romanian guy - Cristi - who was very polite and helpfull . The price of the accomodation was a correct price for what the hotel can offer . We hope to comeback !

Cons: The first night we were put in a basement room, as the hotel was overbooked. However, the next morning we were moved to the rooms we had originally booked and we were very happy with the quality of the interconnecting family rooms and the comfortable beds. The use of a pool was a big plus and the spa and steam room a big asset. Afternoon tea was free and the patio garden was pretty.

Surprisingly, the gym and the spa was in Sura Hagia Soofia and we had a choice of break fast in either hotels. These two hotels are the same but one is 4 start and the other 5 star. We had mosquitos in our room. Telephone wasn't working.

Pros: The hotel had a fantastic location and one of the most breathtaking views of Istanbul that I've ever seen. We were able to walk to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia from this hotel, although it was a lengthy (but enjoyable) walk.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and made every effort to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The reception spoke English and was able to help give us recommendations on places to go and directions to get there. I would absolutely stay here again.

Cons: The photo that sold the hotel to me of an open rooftop terrace is misrepresentation as the terrace is now not open but enclosed in a glass box. No irons is rooms which is very unusual these days and was a hassle to persuade the hotel manager to loan me one. The room aircon was noisy and inefficient at its lowest setting. The curtains didn't join and left a big gap waking me up at dawn. Reported, Confusion at check in. I had extended my stay via email, which was confirmed but on arrival the extra night was not there. On two mornings, my uneaten breakfast was cleared while I was at the counter getting tea. Then saw the waiters laughing about it.

Pros: At first when I read negative comments about the location of hotel I wanted to cancel my reservation but I am thrilled that I didn't do that.The fact is that if it is your first time in Istanbul try not to find the location of hotel from Galata because it is kind of tricky in winding streets of Istanbul. The best way to get there is from Halic metro station which is in front of hotel s' Ave, there is a Pilaveci at the beginning of Ave.It only takes you 2minutes to get to your hotel.The surrounding neighborhood is commercial area so it is very safe at night however they close soon and it very quiet at night so you can sleep very well.Thank you so much Mr Galib,the manager of hotel, for your kindness and carrying my luggage and bags up to Halic metro, you made my travel unforgettable.The rooms are spacious and clean.I will definitely come back

Pros: An excellent location; a 7 minute walk from Karakoy Tramway and the Tunnel Station. The tramway goes to SultanAhmet, Serkici, and Grand Bazar. The Tunnel Station goes to Istiklal Street. So you are in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Istanbul. There are several local restaurants and grocery stores down the street. The guys at the front desk are cool, helpful, down to earth, and respectful. I stayed at the single room; It isn’t that big but TBH its not too bad for one person. It has a mini fridge, TV, bedside table, and a desk. The hotel gives off an industrial and vintage kinda vibe. It is clean, quiet, and safe. They have 24 hour front desk help. The only two problems I had were the size of the shower room. It was so tiny but clean, new, and has hot water all the time. But in their defense, I am 1.90 cm and weigh 115 kg. So if you are small or mid sized, you’re good. The second problem is that the bathroom has a sliding glass door overlooking the bed which was a bit odd and out of the ordinary to me personally. But truth be told, it looks modern and stylish. Other than that, everything, from room service/cleanliness, ambiance, safety, location, and customer service was very good.

The only two problems I had were the size of the shower room. It was so tiny but clean, new, and has hot water all the time. But in their defense, I am 1.90 cm and weigh 115 kg. So if you are small or mid sized, you’re good. The second problem is that the bathroom has a sliding glass door overlooking the bed which was a bit odd and out of the ordinary to me personally. But truth be told, it looks modern and stylish. Other than that, everything, from room service/cleanliness, ambiance, safety, location, and customer service was very good.

Pros: Very good location, where you can reach both sides of Haliç also by foot. Nice interior, friendly and helpful staff, all the needed basic things like hairdryer, coffee and tea all day long, breakfast included. For the price payed it was wonderful and totally worth it.
Cons: There was no door In the bathroom, it was missing, but the reception was ready to change the room for us. Minor things - no shelf in the shower to put shower gel and shampoo, not enough hooks for towels, only one side table by a double bed, which made one person put things on the floor next to the bed. If the breakfast had a whole grain bread and a real bean coffee, it would be just perfect;) And just be prepared that if it’s rainy, all the city water comes down the slopes to the hotel location and you can’t go out! We went out and soaked and drowned till over knee height! Better wait inside:) As for the rest, the hotel is really nice and made us satisfied, and contributed to our enjoying Istanbul! Thank you!

Pros: What I like about this Hotel is its walking distance from other tourist spots in Istanbul, it maybe a little far but you can do the walk.
Cons: Its hard to find and locate, even local people doesnt know the hotel. Maybe if they provide street signange towards their hotel or if they can email their guests on how to reach their facility (those who dont want to use taxi coz Taxi in Istanbul is costly). Also, i hope they can provide other breakfast choices.

Pros: To be honest, we liked everything in the hotel. Location is amazing. It is few steps to Istakil street and Galata tower. Metro station sishank is in front of the hotel entrance. Area is very safe even you comes late in the night. There is SPA at the hotel and i tried relaxed massage and it was ok. Regarding my room, it was really wonderful, i was staying at room 402 for 7 days and it includes every thing you need such as tea, coffee, water and boiler. Bed is very comfortable with a great view over Phospour and Galata tower.Cleaning is regularly done every day. Breakfast is very delicious with a variety of several food especially cheese. They serves more than 10 types of cheese. I like it so much. Also, team at the restaurant is very friendly and always smile when you come in the morning especially the beautiful lady who was playing with my son Adam every morning. She is really very nice. Reception team is very friendly, helpful and courteous. If you ask him for any help, they will do their best to assist you. They were always helping me While i was carrying my baby's stroller which demonstrates how those people are really professional and keen to help you all the time. Finally, i was requesting to have additional 2 hours after check out as i have a late flight and they approved my request even though hotel was busy. I was waiting the driver who will pick me up to the hotel and i waited at reception area for 90 minutes. They welcomed to keep my luggages until driver came. Also, they gave my son some chocolate as a gift. I really appreciate their efforts to make my family happy during our stay at the hotel. Big thanks to this wonderful hotel. It became my first chioce when i visit Istanbul again and i will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Pros: The bed was great. Really comfy. Great location, next to metro, by foot to tunnel and Istiklal pedestrian way. Kind personnel. And the breakfast was also very good. Loved the borek- different every day- and the fresh orange juice which really made a difference. The windows though, at the breakfast area with the nice sea view, were dirty every day. Sea gulls accompanied us at breakfast, right out of the window and they were nice, OK, but what they would leave there (....) was never cleaned and remained to be seen the following mornings while we were eating food.... So cleaning was an issue. Same with our room. My husband asked for a nice room as he wanted to surprise me on my birthday, and we only got exactly what we booked: a sea view room, which, however had not been very well cleaned. Last but not least, the super slow elevators, not working properly most of the time. Had it not been for the elevators, I would probably consider going again.

Cons: Actually, every thing in this hotel is amazing but i will just highlight two minor issues. First, the elevator is quite tiny and the back one sometimes breaks down or closes quickly. I believe it needs some maintenance but it wasn't a big issue as one elevator is at least functioning. The second issue is relevant to the toilet, the water during taking a shower gets out of the bundle that make toilet floor wet. I think you need to figure out a way to this small problem.

Pictures are not showing the real size of the rooms .The bathroom was not so clean, there was also a bad smell from the bathroom canal. To take a shower , you have to wait 2-3 minutes for the hot water to come. Then you have to wait 1-2 minutes more to set the water with normal temperature. Also we spotted few cockroaches in bathroom. The cleanness is on very low level. The reception service offered us, a very expensive and not special restaurant on the Galata bridge. I dont think they should offer this restaurant again, because the food was very bad, service also. I can rate it with 1.

Pros: Great hotel for smokers because everyone smokes so much that the wallpaper and air smell like cigarettes! You can smoke cigars on the restaurant patio even though the smoke blows right into the restaurant - a fantastic smell when you're trying to enjoy your meal.
Cons: We stayed at Tunel for 5 nights. Our room was fine for 4 nights w dodgy wifi but then for the last night, they moved us to a disgusting and tiny box of a room where the wifi did not work. The room was dark because 2 of the main light bulbs were out. The floor was severely scratched up, wallpaper peeled, plastic headboard deteriorated onto our faces while we slept! It stank like cigarette smoke. The ceiling in the shower was mouldy and dropped wet chunks on us while we were showering. They skimped on towels. The blinds fell down with a loud thud when we opened the window. When I shared these issues with the front desk she offered a one-time free £3 breakfast. I told her I wanted a new room and she said she had none. I looked online and found that they had THREE available rooms. I asked her why she was being dishonest with me and she said it was because she could get more from a client who booked online.

Pros: Fantastic Location. In the Heart of Fatih with popular tourist attractions only a 5 minute walk away Helpful staff- requested additional extras for our room and the requirements were met in an efficient manner. Saida at guest relations was fantastic ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Thank you to ercan (concierge)who was a pleasure to deal with.

Cons: When my parents first checked-in , they had to go to another hotel as the hotel staff informed them there is some maintenance happening in the rooms which was so frustrating for them . Then they checked in again next day and all was fine .

Cons: Upon arrival i waited an hour to be checked in However once given my room it was very small but i got an upgrade..which made up for all the disappointments. The location is great I didn't enjoy breakfast. Overall it was good. I would stay here again
