Istanbul hotels near Küçük Ayasofya Camii

Pros: The free upgrade. The welcome with ZamZam water and Ajwa and Sukkary dates. Staff very friendly. The hotel very clean and the food fresh and healthy.

Cons: Electricity was out a couple of times but came back quickly.

Pros: Everything was just perfect. Location, staff, hotel facilities and room- top!

Cons: Unfortunately, location of the hotel is very poor, unless you are targeting Sultanahmet area only! Also, you need to consider adding more food’s selections in your breakfast buffet.

Pros: The hotel itself was easy to find and upon arrival we were checked in promptly and offered refreshments. We were then led to our room which was the Junior suite. We didn't have a view facing the outside of the hotel but this was fine as the room itself was very well equipped. Extra mention to the nespresso machine and the heated mirror in the bathroom. The hotels biggest plus point though is its location. It is literally minutes away from either the blue mosque or grand bazaar. It is very centrally located so you can literally walk anywhere. It's also off a side street so it's nice and quiet but also super close to the necessities. Also the staff were generally accommodating to all our needs

Cons: I felt that the prices were on the expensive side but then again this hotel is in the old city which does cost more. My biggest disappointment was the lacklustre breakfast. Though the spread was good, literally nothing tasted fresh, it tasted more like recycled food, kept in the fridge and re-served. Its what let our stay down unfortunately

Pros: I recently stayed at FER Hotel with my husband and adult son. The staff was super helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and had great variety. The location was also convenient to many historical sights. I would recommend this hotel without hesitations and give it thumbs up.

Pros: Very convenient for all the sites. Very helpful staff. Clean and modern room. Powerful shower. Hotel has a pretty central peacock tiled water pool, plush corridor carpet and spacious hotel lobby.

Cons: Little niggle - automatic light activated when cupboard was closed so in the middle night if walked passed the bedroom was lit up by this light.

Pros: The staff was excellent...very friendly and helpful.Location is also perfect...just a 5 min walk to the grand bazaar. Modern hotel with all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Very highly recommended!!

Pros: Location is the best and in the middle of a very famous street and near lots of shops and restaurants. Few meter away of tramway station and metro. Clean and tidy room. Friendly & polite staff. Room is spacious and decoration is acceptable.

Cons: Phosphorion hotel has no reception neither a hall or a lobby. You carry along your luggages and enter the hotel from MADO sweets shop to find out that the 2 meter desk is empty ! Then somebody will guide You to next hotel hall to check in ! Room is not a double bed and a single bed. They joined two single beds to form one double bed ! Door of the toilet is making noise when opening/ closing and need a fixing! Some furniture need re-painting The breakfast is below average and has nothing to do with MADO standard. The lift is small and have to wait for sometimes to get. Changing of bed blankets are not done on daily basis. We tried hardly to keep the room an hour or two after 12 o'clock due to our evening flight but Mr. Ramadan who is in charge refused to help . Normally most hotels allow at least 1 or 2 hours extra

Pros: Very good breakfast. Perfect location, lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff was exceptional, helpful and friendly offering tea or coffee anytime.

Pros: The staff are friendly and so helpful. I would also like to thank Eyatullah who helped with arranging taxis, gave recommendations for restaurants in Taksim square as well as around Sultan Ahmet. The restaurant on the terrace has amazing views and the food was also very good. I want to give a special thanks to Turgay who gave us a tour of the hotel and the facilities and was very accommodating to our requests. The facilities are also clean and the location is excellent for the Blue Mosque and Haggia Sophia. Breakfast was great, they do provide you with anything you’d like, for example omelettes on request. They also provide scales by the lifts to weigh your luggage before departure so there is no issue at the airport with regards to weight.

Pros: The hotel was conveniently located close to all the attractions, Hagia Sofia, blue Mosque,Topcapi palace museum, grand Bazzar....etc The staff is very welcoming and helpful, I wish I could remember their names but the one that stands out is Elham. She is sweet, informative, helpful and dependable. Breakfast was amazing and filling with great views of the the city. The Hotel is in the old part of Istanbul and and therefore it’s old but clean. It is in need of new carpet, better lighting and general updating. Beds are comfortable, our room was spacious as we had a triple bed room. The restaurant on the first floor had great food and the staff, esp. Mustafa, were great!

Pros: Fabulous stay at Saphire Hotel in Istanbul. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! So many courtesies and useful advices. The swimming pool/ Turkish bath and sauna was great, and so was the breakfast! (facilities and food). Same goes to the bedroom: comfortable and clean. Many thanks again to the staff for making our stay in Istanbul so easy and memorable!

Pros: I loved the Sapphire hotel! It was perfectly located near all the major tourist sites and surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants, hamams, and anything else you could need. The hotel itself was spotless, the breakfast was fresh and amazing (and yes, the same thing is served every day but there are so much to choose from that you'd have to stay here a month to get bored with the choices), there are lifts (this was a big concern for me as I had a family member who needed it), and even the sauna and pool downstairs were a beautiful distraction from the cold and rainy days in Istanbul. I would say the staff was the best part of my experience at this hotel, everyone was so nice, cheery, and helpful- it sets a positive tone for your day to be greeted with a smile and kind words. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Cons: It seems like fake Hilton. Receptionists do not speak English , except from Suzan, which is frendly, kind, says hello whenever she sees you. Rest of the reception staff is not helpfull, they dont understand questions, they ask questions that are incomprehensible so you have to guess what they mean. To not say hi they keep looking the other way. Bar waiter constantly is looking at something on his cellphone hidden in the bar and you have to call him to come to take order, and then he takes it and goes back to his phone!!! You lucky if you get “caj” (tee) in 20 minutes. Carpets in room are terribly dirty and there is a sewer problem so the room has pretty bed smell. We have seen many people complain on the reception!

Cons: No words can describe how much of a terrible experience we had at this awful hotel and am in tears as I'm writing this. We checked into the hotel on 2nd of January 2020 and weren't impressed from the moment we walked in, not even a smile or hello. But that's okay. 2 days pass and I wanted to do some laundry as we had been holidaying for the last 2 week's prior to our check in so had a fair bit of laundry to do. So I called concierge and asked about process/ and if someone could pick up the laundry from me and assist. Someone eventually turned up and took it all, I had some questions but he didn't understand a word of English so I just left it hoping he understood my hand movements - this all happened about 8-9am in the morning. We left the hotel around then to explore the city and came back to our hotel late afternoon. As I walked into the hotel I found my laundry in white garbage plastic bags literally all wet. They would have put it into the dryer but only enough so it's not soaking but definitely still VERY VERY wet. I instantly thought this is not right. Looked through the bag only to find most of my clothes all RUINED WITH BLEACH (photos are attached for your shock). And all scrunched up and not folded. Socks i had werent even opened up before putting into the washing machine. socks that were black and navy had all turned pink from the bleach. I straight away called concerige and they send someone up to my room from house keeping who again didn't speak English at all lucky I knew a bit of turkish. He took photos and said he would send them off to his manager. But that he couldn't do anything. I just cannot believe someone would see this happen to the clothes and continue to pack it in the garbage bags without stopping and thinking he needs to put aside and talk to us and explain the incident. I would have totally understood. He just left it in the room for us to discover.
