Pros: Good location - a short walk down a peaceful street from Pulteney Bridge and passing through Laura Place (a thrill for Jane Austen fans). Very easy to find from the train station, and for people driving it looked like there was parking outside on the drive Toni was very welcoming and full of tips on what I could see and do in the limited time I had in Bath, I followed them all! Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated room with aircon and a ceiling fan (I had number 5 which was on the ground floor towards the back of the house). The heated towel rail in the ensuite bathroom kept me toasty warm in the chilly weather. Free Wifi worked well I enjoyed making tea with fresh milk and the little treats (florentines) left on the table Breakfast was fantastic - the tastiest eggs Benedict I've ever had with crisp pancetta, feeling hungry just thinking about it Highly recommend and hope to stay again in the future
Cons: Can't think of anything

Pros: Easy to find; plenty of parking on site. Lovely welcome from James & genuinely friendly staff throughout our 3 night stay. Excellent room (we were offered a free upgrade simply because it was quieter than usual - a nice touch). Very comfortable & top en-suite. Tea/coffee in room (+ cafetierre & ground coffee); excellent choice of teas etc. and other thoughtful touches in the room. Bottled water and 'proper' milk (& soya etc) from residents fridge in dining room. Bed was large and comfortable. Beautifully decorated property and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range & choice. 10-15 min walk into centre downhill, but slightly longer return! Nothing to dislike and would definitely stay again. Brilliant.

Pros: We visit Bath almost every year, sometimes twice and never get bored of doing so! We have never been disappointed by the places we have stayed in and The Cedars was no exception. My husband and I love all things retro and the airstream allowed us to indulge! Damien and Jilly were lovely hosts and the informal check-in / out process was very welcome. The airstream caravan had been restored to a high specification (including a powerful hot shower) with additional quirky touches. We definitely recommend a visit to anyone visiting Bath.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host and hostess.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Mike and Rowena always go the extra mile to ensure you have an extremely comfortable and welcoming stay. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectation ! The breakfast was amazing, bed extremely comfy and ambience was cosy. Will definitely recommend this place if anyone wants to stay near Bath.
Cons: The fact we couldn’t stay longer as our vacation ended
10,0 Excellent
Pros: If you like something out of the ordinary, very very quirky! Rowena & Mike could not be friendlier or more accommodating, we stayed in one of the coach house rooms, very large, queen size bed, TV, tea & coffee facilities, biscuits, small bottles of wine & whisky, fridge, shower bath, toilet The choice on breakfast was typical of a B&B with the exception, everything cooked was local produce, excellently presented. Tea in very old fashioned tea pots, with old enameled cups, They do not offer food in the evenings and we found this a reel bonus you didn't feel obliged to use their restaurant, in stead, they encourage you to eat locally or if you prefer order a takeaway and use their dining facilities, they have a lovely conservatory with reel lay back and fall asleep sofas and chairs. A bar with local brew beer was available along with a large selection of wines and spirits, a full size snooker table was also available in a games room, with many board games so hours of entertainment should you need to pass some time away. We had a fantastic nights sleep and really enjoyed our stay, we would defiantly come back.
Cons: I cannot think of anything negative to say
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole hotel is friendly and welcoming; it’s really comfortable and you are made to feel like you are a house guest in a warm, friendly home.
Cons: I loved everything about our stay, we had a fab time but have 2 small suggestions that might make the stay even nicer. 1 - as there is a fridge in the room, it might be nice to add a small jug of milk so that guests have the option of fresh milk when making tea/coffee in their rooms and 2 - it would be really nice to have a small coffee machine in the room. That’s it! The stay was fab!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful bed, quiet location, great breakfast
Cons: this place is a little bit on the higher priced side for value, but it is still worth staying!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Genuinely nice people who run the hotel. Willing to go that “extra mile” to assist your stay.
9,0 Excellent
Cons: The beds were very firm and my only negative comment was we did not have a wardrobe in our bedroom however the service breakfast.and the owners were fantastic

Pros: Very clean and tidy. Breakfast really good and good variety. Location could not be better and only a couple of minutes walk into town. Tea and coffee in the rooms very welcome. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms are quite dark with the power saving lights but i guess that's the norm these days. The furniture is quite old (yes traditional and probably nice to some) and very dark which adds to the darkness. The rooms are very basic. I thought the prices were a little high for what you get but this also seems to be the norm in Bath right now.

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcome. Beautiful surroundings. Bedroom very comfortable and had a good nights sleep. I would recommend this property but only in the summer due lack of outside lighting during the winter evenings
Cons: There was no outside lighting and extremely dark walking from the car park to our room. We were given a small torch but felt that this was not sufficient. I didn’t like walking in complete darkness to my room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything; room was beautiful, setting rural and relaxing, house and history is very interesting, Joss (the owner) went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and really made the effort to create a romantic getaway for us. Breakfast is lovely and all for a very reasonable price. Joss also owns The White Hart Inn down the road which we had dinner at, again, the staff were fantastic and the food was very very lovely. Shows truly fantastic customer service through and through. Bed was crisp, soft and comfy. Room was very warm and cosy and clean. Even greeted by a pair of peacocks on our way to the breakfast room in the morning!

Cons: Nothing I love the place!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and easy checkin very friendly staff nothing was to much trouble. Liked the idea of having a fridge in the main building that guests can use also cold bottled water for the guests. Breakfast was good liked the breakfast form that you fill in the day before letting the staff know what you would like and what time you will be coming for breakfast that way they know what food to get in and the food is cooked for you and not pre cooked. Little thing like a small torch on the keys was a good idea. Lovely setting would like to visit in the summer months.
Cons: Nothing everything was good.

Pros: Great location. Close proximity to Longleat. The breakfast was excellent. All the staff were welcoming and friendly

7,0 Good
Pros: Location and hotel
Cons: Bathroom was freezing cold and room cut off from hotel
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Superb hotel in the iconic Royal Crescent. Every member of staff was excellent. The food was sublime. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very comfortable.
Cons: There were some small niggly things. The room we had on our first night (room 41 - to be avoided) had absolutely no space between the sides of the bed and the wall. You had to walk along the side of the bed sideways which is not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel and certainly not at the cost of the room. They moved us to a different room on the second night which was much better. Very few mirrors.
6,7 Good
Pros: The garden is lovely. The pea soup is really comfort food.
Cons: Very expensive food and drink.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic, and the location was extremely picturesque. The staff were very polite and helpful, and showed us to our room in person. The room itself was a little disappointing as the window was blocked by balustrades on the roof outside, however it was very comfortable and spacious.

Cons: Small room on ground floor. Quite dark. Quite expensive for what was offered.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent - lovely lady who served us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host was extremely accommodating, apologising for our room not being ready, even though we had requested to check in early, providing us with maps of the area and helping us find our way in to town. The accommodation was very clean, and the facilities were perfect. The breakfast the following morning was exceptional, with more than enough food to see us through for the whole day ahead. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was brilliant! Ten minutes maximum to get to the major sites and the Royal Crescent sits a a short distance behind the property. We stayed in the large room at the front of No 2 Crescent Gardens. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious with plenty of cupboard/draw space. Bed was super comfy with good quality bed linen. Lovely en-suite bathroom with king size towels. (USB plug sockets is a great idea ) Tea and coffee supplies topped up generously every day. The whole attention to the decor of the house was beautiful and didn’t go unappreciated! Breakfast is a real treat! Great selection of cereals, yoghurt fruit compote, fresh fruit and pastries. Continental choice is available if you ask. A real plus was having a freshly cooked breakfast of your choice prepared for you whilst you ate your cereal. Coffee served in individual cafetières and likewise tea in your own pot. The breakfast set you up for the day and are well cooked and tasty. We had three different people cook for us during our stay and they were all equally charming and pleasant and knowledgeable about Bath. Jack was our first point of contact on arrival and was so helpful and sorted out our parking permit. He was also able to answer our questions. (Thank you Jack!!) I would recommend this property 100% on every aspect!
Cons: NOTHING AT ALL
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location. So close to the town centre, Royal Crescent and so many places to eat. If only we had known it would have been better to book a restaurant. The breakfast was superb and we were well looked after.
Cons: Perhaps more information on places to eat with information on pricing. We got all the information on recommended places to visit and eat from our local library before we visited Bath. Although we did visit the Tourist Information on the Monday, it wasn't open on the Sunday.!
8,0 Excellent
Cons: breakfast was good but after reading about your sausages being locally sauced to not receive any was a shame, mushrooms being a replacement also the menu states eggs, but only received one.

Cons: The location was to far to walk for there and back ,and very busy noisy road .and steps up to house not good if your elderly or have a disability.

Pros: Room was huge and clean with fantastic views. Breakfast was excellent. Location was fantastic and very close to town centre. Staff were exceptional and very friendly.
Cons: The bed was a bit soft for me.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Free parking and only 10 min walk to city centre.
Cons: Run down. Not what we expected from pictures on booking .com Picture of property in rear, not showing the busy A36 through route at the front. Room given was on the noisy road side, asked to be moved, ignored. Carpet worn, table lamps broken, safe not fixed to anything, pillows worn out and dirty, no blind in bathroom leaving large sash window at night almost see through. TV on swing wall bracket, connection fell out every time moved.

Pros: Loved the ambiance of the property and how the rooms are all themed. Brand new luxury bathrooms were gorgeous too. Great breakfast and fantastic view of the lovely garden from the breakfast room. We had the china suite which was very large. Great to have on site parking.

Pros: Fantastic view from our ‘garden room’ and rooms lovely and warm. Great location for bath city centre. Lovely breakfast, quiet atmosphere and would definitely recommend for the price. Bonus with on-site parking.
Cons: N/A
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely people - superb receptionist who was very, very helpful. Room was big and airy, and had features not found in some of the more modern and faceless hotels. Breakfasts were good and plentiful. The hotel is in an ideal location just 5 minutes walk from the city centre. We intend to use this hotel again when we come back to Bath later in the year.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The house is situated in a tiny, beautiful village so we had a quiet and peaceful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, we felt really welcome which was especially nice as we were travelling with a baby. Richard gave us good tips for walks around the area. Frome is a quick drive or hour walk away which was very handy. The breakfast was great too, both warm and cold selection. For an old house, we were really impressed how clean it was!

6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was extremely nice and staff very diligent throughout my stay.
Cons: The room was road facing and noisy, the light from the hotel signage lit up the room all night. The toilet was overflowing into the bowl and kept refilling the cistern all night long. Paint peeling off the wall and a little too much mould in the bathroom. Tried calling the hotel twice and on both occasions left an answerphone message but never got return calls.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Our room was Number 1 so on top floor. Adequate. Nice bathroom/shower
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bar and restaurant staff were so welcoming and attentive and made me feel really valued as a customer. Nothing was too much trouble. I no sooner arrived in the pub or restaurant area and I would be spoken to even if it was to say, ‘ I am just serving this gentleman and then I will be right with you’ Very welcoming! Comfortable, spacious room cosy warm and well stocked rooms. Lots of places to choose to sit. Thank you all!

Pros: Large bed,
Cons: Bed was little hard, toilet kept making noises all night.

Cons: Room decor and fittings starting to look tired.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location. Vibrant town pub. Breakfast brilliant.
Cons: Single room very small but adequate for my needs. Impossible to open window which was high up on the wall so no views out. Got off to bad start when I asked if I could leave bags somewhere secure until check-in time, and was told to put them on the floor at the end of the crowded bar.

Pros: Lovely breakfast served by lovely Vicky she was very happy friendly and efficient as were all the staff
Cons: More tv channels!!

With a stay at Woolpack Inn Beckington by Greene King Inns in Frome, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of American Museum in Britain and Longleat Safari and Adventure Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: A nice village inn, no problems parking, good food and drinks, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, it was the perfect location for exploring the local area being right on the main bus route between Frome and Bath and a short drive to Longleat, which was the main purpose of our visit to this part of the country. We would have no hesitation in staying at the Woolpack again or recommending it to anyone as a base for visiting this area.
Cons: Slightly tired decor but we have stayed in a lot worse, there was a rattly window when the wind blew in the wrong direction on the first night but was OK after that and the shower head could have been better but neither issue was worth complaining about.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast
Cons: We were in one of the attic rooms so very limited height space in bathroom especially in the shower.
7,0 Good
Pros: The breakfasts and dinner were excellent. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the traditional, homely surroundings. It was warm and cosy. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful, especially when we asked to extend our stay by another night.
Cons: The B.B.C. television reception had gone down, which was a little disappointing as we missed the 5th. instalment of a favourite series.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The Woolpack Inn is a great historic inn only 20 minutes from bath. it was our second stay here after staying there in 2016.
Cons: Unavoidable with an old historic building, but the steps up to the rooms get tiring after awhile at our age
5,0 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: One window could not be opened and the other was extremely difficult as the sash was broken, the floor boards creaked at every step and the bathroom smelled stale and looked dirty around the fittings.
7,9 Good
Pros: Lovely food Comfortable bed Rooms very spacious Accommodated children including a travel cot
Cons: Christmas party going on underneath our room, not informed about this prior, I understand it was Christmas party season, but we had 2 small children & pretty much sounded like we were joining the party, could hear everything including the swearing. Other rooms were available on other side of the property this may have been more appropriate for us away from the party. Staff informed but did nothing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The price was amazing for what you get. Spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds, breakfast included, delicious dinner meals and an easy check in. Couldn’t ask for more.
Cons: It was all good.

Pros: Convenient for the A36. Friendly staff.
