Pros: Outstanding! We checked into the Hotel around 11pm, the gentleman on reception was so pleasant and efficient. The check in was complete into a few minutes and we were told we had been given a complimentary upgrade. The room was unbelievable! So spacious, a large bed, so much rail space for clothes (ideal when you are shopping in Italy), separate toilet and shower room, slippers supplied, a fully stocked mini bar, a private balcony and a stunning view onto the hotel garden from our window. The room was cleaned to perfection each day. Despite being 35C outside the airconditioned room was so comfortable, an absolute oasis to come back to after a day of exploring Florence. Breakfast each morning was a treat. The two girls were very pleasant and the options were more than anyone could ever ask for! Variety of breads, fresh fruit, cheeses, salamis, yoghurts, cereals, alternative milk options, a fresh orange juice, tea, coffee, and the sweet section was heavenly (I’m still dreaming of those custard filled croissants). The breakfast room is beautifully decorated, it’s like being in an Italian dream, you can eat your breakfast inside or sit further out in the outdoor terrace and start your day with views of the amazing garden where Michelangelo started his career. We were also spoiled with a complimentary drink in the hotel bar. The barman was so pleasant, the mimosas and generous nibbles accompanying the drink were scrumptious! What an amazing gesture. The night before we were due to leave, we had issues trying to figure out the best way back to Pisa Airport to get our morning flight, Ricaardo was so helpful, called the bus companies and found out the exact route we should take. Could not recommend this hotel enough! 5 stars! The only issue is – you will NEVER want to leave!!! Cannot wait to go back!!!!

Cons: It is worth having a look at their website where you can do a virtual tour of all the rooms - they vary somewhat and aren’t all as the photos suggest so you could perhaps request a particular room in advance according to your taste. All the rooms are excellent but like I say, do vary in their features. We moved after our first night as wanted a room with a more of a view of the Arno - this was no trouble at all for the wonderful team and manager. It is a bit pricey, but in line with expectations.

Cons: Some staff were dismissive and not very friendly. The pool area was small and not very relaxing. The location is right on a busy road. The view onto the Arno river from here is actually not very picturesque at all (and you can't see it from the ground floor). The room looks great online but in person it's just very cheaply decorated and the space is much smaller. It's just photographed very well. The breakfast is okay.

Pros: Staying at Casa Howard was one of the most pleasant experiences and a highlight of our trip thus far. The room we stayed in, the game room, also known as the terrace room was as charming as could be! The terrace is so peaceful and quiet and is such an added bonus! The location is great, too. Not too far from the train station, yet close to shops and restaurants. The staff at Casa Howard was so welcoming and very accommodating as well. We loved our stay in Florence and Casa Howard and would recommend it to anyone. I will definitely stay here the next time I travel to Florence.

The Piazzana Michelangelo view point provides a great panorama ( Blue and Red routes). A visit up into the hills to Fiesole is also worth making (Red route).

Pros: The hotel and rooms are beautiful. Perfectly clean and the service is amazing. We asked for an early check-in AND a late checkout, and both were accepted! Thank you NH hotel for a great service!

Pros: It was clean and comfortable beds in a quiet area near the river. 15 min walk into the main shopping area. Great breakfast with everything you need.
Cons: The bathroom was not vented properly. And a bit dated as was the room. But overall clean and comfortable

Pros: This hotel is not in the center of the city but close to the train station. I T was an older hotel for sure and smaller bathrooms. But Gulio was awesome and made our stay worth it.

Pros: Was given a free upgrade to a suite on arrival. Valet parking. Staff are very helpful and recommended a local restaurant which was amazing. Great breakfast.
Cons: the walk-in wardrobe could have done with a lick of paint. The rest of the room was to a good standard and was very large.

Pros: Great service and nice rooms. Located slightly away from the noisy city centre but its a walking city and within 15-20min walk you're anywhere you want to be. Concierge recommended excellent restaurants for us and took care of reservations.

Cons: It was run down and would not say it is a 4 star hotel as I have travelled a lot and stayed in only 4 & 5 star hotels. The room that I booked was rundown and and the room smelled. I was coughing pretty badly. Carpet was dirty. Then I was moved to another room but it was worse. Then I was moved to the 4th floor where the room must have been recently updated and renovated. But I must say and want to thank them for upgrading me to that room free of charge. Breakfast was not a big variety. I had cereal and yogurt for the 3 nights I was there.

Cons: The hotel rooms have 1960s fittings and are in need of updating. I believe some have already been done but the room we stayed in was pretty tired. There was a scum line in the bath which I suspect was ingrained due to the age. The shower leaked water across the bathroom floor.

Cons: The room reminded me of something out of the 1950s - not very modern at all - my pillow and bed were hard as a rock and it was super difficult to figure out how the lights worked - I midnight pee'd by iPhone light so as not to wake up my travel partner.
