Cons: I arrived around 9 pm, they told me they are out of non-smoking room, so they had to give me a smoking room ( I didn't know it still exists!!!). The air in the smoking room is seriously sickening, i felt dizzy after only 5 minutes. Even though I got to change to a non-smoking room the next day, it was still not a very pleasant experience.

Cons: On check out the receptionist tried to charge me more money. I had paid for my room through booking.com before I arrived, the receptionist first said they need to charge me another 20 euros for city tax. Said I had already paid it, they did not accept that so I showed them an email confirming I had paid for everything. The receptionist then said I had not paid for breakfast so I showed him the email again the receptionist then changed his mind and said something else needs to be paid for! They were trying to charge me more money please see the attached photos of the invoice I was issued on check out and the final bill via email from booking.com this resulted in me calling booking.com and waiting 30 minutes on the phone for them then to contact the hotel for the hotel then confirm they are in the wrong I I’m now awaiting a refund. Tourists be aware of this scam!!!

Cons: I asked whether the bircher meusli had sunflower seeds in as I was allergic. A gentleman staff member assured me that there was only oats in the meusli. I ate it and bit into a sunflower seed. I started reacting within 2-3 minutes. I took high doses of antihistamines and corticosteroids immediately and luckily had my adrenaline auto-injector on the ready. This ended well, but could have been catastrophic. I would expect a better policicy and awareness from staff members at this calibre hotel.

Cons: I asked for TWIN beds and was guaranteed such a request on my reservation. Upon arrival, I was told they were twin beds. Going up to the room, that was not the case. Had to descend to the lobby and ask for the beds to be made up as twins. The attendant had to call someone else to do it since she was unable. All without a single smile on their faces. In fact the agents made us feel as if they were doing us a favour. Another thing, what is with the glass door and partition to the bathroom???? I don't want to see people having showers!! Besides, when you turn the light on at night to go to the bathroom the whole room lights up. Ridiculous. The TV should have more English-speaking channels. Please look at hotels like Sheraton and Hilton as references, which actually cater to the foreign traveller.

Cons: Due to the bars in the side road to the hotel, it is too loud to let the window open. Specially on the weekend when there are singers performing in the bar. The hotel interior is very old, also three rooms! The bed seems to be old as well and not anymore comfortable, very soft. The parking slot is the most expensive one we ever had traveling the world. You decently don’t get what you pay for! Talking about paying, you have to pay for WiFi in your room?! You either pay for it or you have to sign up for a membership, and then you need to book all future bookings directly on the Hilton Homepage. When we did the check out the staff didn’t even ask if we had a nice stay, that is what we are used to being asked... We think they know why. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend staying here.

Pros: Spacious, modern very clean rooms, very well thought out design. The staff was incredible, David the manager went out of his way to help us reacquire some clothes we forgot. His graciousness and follow up is notable. The hop on hop off bus stops right in front of the hotel and a major shopping mall is right around the corner. A perfect place to stay in Dresden, near to all the highlights.
Cons: Breakfast, while very nice is very crowded and noisy, with some long waits for table space. Only two elevators make for some long waits.

Pros: The room was adequate. The hotel is close to the historical Altstadt and a fantastic shopping area.
Cons: Driving to the hotel was frustrating. It wasn't easy to find, even with GPS. There are two elevators so long waits in the morning to get to breakfast or to check out. Staff speak very little English. The room

Pros: Great location. Within walking distance of sights in Dresden. Bikes you can rent there for 10 euro. Large breakfast selection. Comfortable bed with both a soft and firm pillow to choose from in the room. My sister and I felt very safe walking around in the evenings.

Cons: Receptionists were professional, but not very nice. I mean: waiting for assistance even if there 2 receptionists (one receptionist resolves one guest's problem, the other just stays there and look), info is provided but without a smile o being generally nice...

Cons: It is basically a dormitory style accomodation. My room was close to a lift which was very noisy and working also during night. Next door was a toilet probably for rooms with shared toilet, which meant often use. On the hall a lot of young people (students?), very noisy untill late evening, Breakfast was quite modest in overcrowded underground with difficulties to find a free space. I am sorry to say but for my stay it was not a good choice.

Cons: Just know that for dorms linen and towels are extra. They say they’re offering you an opportunity to safe money if you bring your own (of course we all travel with our own linen, don’t we?). To me it is an extra cost, not hidden, but you’ll only see it as you book if your glasses are clean.
