Pros: If you’re wanting to see the sights, this hotel is a great choice. Lots of people have complained that the toilets are “in the bedroom”, but they’re not; they are separated off, but only by a glass door. This wasn’t a problem for us. Cocktails in the bar were very good, and the selection at breakfast was great - Brits will appreciate the hash browns and baked beans (which are not so common on the continent).

Cons: The breakfast set up meant that sometimes people dropped meat items (like bacon) in non-meat items (like eggs, beans). As we’re vegetarians this sometimes meant that non-meat items were ruled out for us, since they were “tainted”. Meat items should be grouped separately from non-meat items.

Cons: It was not possible to sleep in because of a loud noise from the street directly below our rooms window in the morning at 6:30-7:00 ( our room was on 1st floor). We missed an omelet station at breakfast and a bit more options.

Cons: It was cold in the rooms , also all other places in the hotel , foyer breakfast room etc. The spa should be only for guests , as being mixed , with most people naked it felt a bit strange knowing some people were not guests .

Cons: Poor locations of outlets in rooms. For older people difficult light switch system/technology. Expensive breakfast buffet. Front desk staff could be more helpful with explaining things, e.g. complicated German parking garage system, to foreign guests. Expected more from a luxury hotel.

Pros: We stayed in a suite, which was beautiful. Amazing views of the Frauenkirche, so close you couldn't take it all in. We'd been warned there were building works, but they weren't a problem and at one point a member of staff asked the builders to stop drilling for half an hour so that my injured (and temporarily bed-bound) father could make a phone call. But the noise really wasn't a problem.

Cons: I was naively surprised by the church bells ringing at 7am! But that's a great way to be woken up and instantly know it's not a work day, and you're on holiday somewhere interesting. We didn't bother paying €25 for parking - it's €6 around the corner in front of the police station (though that'll be busy during xmas markets).

Pros: Hotel is modern and clean. Location is great - right in the city centre. Lots of shops and restaurants very near. We were nicely surprised by small kitchen in the room with microwave, fridge, sink, kettle and coffee maker. Gym equipped with elliptical, treadmill, one multi-purpose machine, two yoga mats and two balls.
Cons: The double bed are just two single beds put next to each other and with slight movement they slide apart, creating a hole between. Also bed is not stuck to the headboard, so when you want to lean back against the headboard (e.g. when watching tv) the bed moves forward. The room was quite cold even though we set temperature to the max., but it was quickly solved when we told reception and they lent us electric heater. Wellness area is nice and neat, but very little capacity. There are only 7 "sunbeds" to lie on after sauna. When those are occupied you have to stand or sit on the ground between the rounds. The hotel is right next to the church so you should be prepared to the sound of the bell ringing every 15 minutes, even during the night.

Cons: Parking was a little confusing at first, as we were allotted an underground parking lot at an adjacent building. But the plus is that we could access the room directly from the underground carpark via an elevator. Once we got used to it, it wasnt a problem at all.

Cons: The building had a pungent cleaning smell however this was not present in the room. The carpet is a bit old in the hallway area of the apartment.

Temperature in hotel was excessively high (entry, reception, room, and breakfast room were all set to a temperature I would expect in a sauna). Had to sleep with windows open in order to cool off but then we had the annoyance of drunken smokers outside. ONE free bottle of water per stay -- not per person, not per night, PER STAY. LOL.

The hotel interior is very old, also three rooms! The bed seems to be old as well and not anymore comfortable, very soft. The parking slot is the most expensive one we ever had traveling the world. You decently don’t get what you pay for! Talking about paying, you have to pay for WiFi in your room?! There are 3-4 Holiday Inns around the city so make sure you reach the correct one. First we reached the wrong one but the staff at the reception was kind enough to guide to the right one. Rooms were of standard size. Good breakfast though there was nothing hot in there except the coffee. Good part is on weekend they serve breakfast till 11:30 which makes life a bit easier

Pros: The bed and shower were very good. Room was small but perfectly acceptable for such a short sta . Hotel was warm comfortable and pleasant.
Cons: Pillows very hard! Room felt stuffy and no way to control the heating but nothing major spoiled our stay.

Pros: The room was adequate. The hotel is close to the historical Altstadt and a fantastic shopping area.
Cons: Driving to the hotel was frustrating. It wasn't easy to find, even with GPS. There are two elevators so long waits in the morning to get to breakfast or to check out. Staff speak very little English. The room

Pros: The hotel was only 2 minutes away from the Christmas market. It was also just across from a department store, walking distance to supermarkets, and restaurants. There was an outdoor parking for only Euro 6.50/day which was excellent rate. Breakfast was included in the daily hotel rate which made this hotel value money. Highly recommended and if there is another of visiting Dresden again, I will defintely return to this hotel.

Pros: Hotel was perfect for a night's stay. we booked it very last minute at 9 PM for the same night's stay and got a good deal. There are 3-4 Holiday Inns around the city so make sure you reach the correct one. First we reached the wrong one but the staff at the reception was kind enough to guide to the right one. Rooms were of standard size. Good breakfast though there was nothing hot in there except the coffee. Good part is on weekend they serve breakfast till 11:30 which makes life a bit easier

Pros: close to shopping street and public transport stop. Very friendly staff. Quiet room, even though hotel is on a busy street. Breakfast was very good, unfortunately the room was too small as the hotel seemed to be fully booked. We tried different times, but it was always the same. Crowded and noisy and often no free tables. So we ended up waiting next to tables were the people looked like they were almost done. Not very peasant for either side.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent and healthy and well worth the money. The location of the hotel could not be better. If arriving in Dresden by train, exit the Hauptbahnhof and walk towards the Hauptbahnhof-Nord tram stop (just follow the crowd, since everyone is heading in that direction). It's just a few steps away. Then purchase a ticket and board tram 11 and get off at Postplatz (3-4 stops). At Postplatz, turn right onto the main street, Wilsdrufferstrasse and the hotel is a short distance away. From the hotel, the entire Alstadt is within walking distance. Very convenient. The friendly and helpful staff all speak English, if you don't know German.

Cons: The only downside is that for some reason the shower is not in the bathroom, but in the bedroom. This is fine if one is travelling alone, but if you are with someone else or a family, some may have issues with that.

Cons: - Some little noise given that my room was at the same level as a disco two blocks away. But it was minor. - I have not tried the breakfast but I consider the price high. - It would be nice to have a frigo in the bedroom.
