Pros: Great location and staff. Lovely hotel room nice and modern. A shame we were woken up at 5am due to bin lorry and then dogs barking. I don’t blame the hotel but it did spoil the relaxation element
Cons: Rooms Staff decor Impressive entrance
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to completely relax and switch off. A warm, welcoming environment with beautiful log fires and plenty of seating in the bar/reception area. Staff were exceptional.
Cons: Nothing. Although if you were hoping to walk to the nearest village be prepared for a long trek as there isn't really anything within a short walking distance.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful old building dating back to the 15th century; stunning inside including the huge fireplaces and comfy seating and well stocked bar.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A nicely appointed period property, log fires, cozy rooms, great food and fantastic beer. A perfect retreat. I have stayed 3 times and return as I know I will be looked after.
Cons: Nothing
4,0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful building. And grounds.
Cons: Very disappointed with the food - clearly a good chef but the ingredients were not such high quality. Perhaps too many corners cut for the intention of saving money and increasing profits? The chairs were too low for the tables and the dining room was cold at breakfast time. I was shocked to see plastic furniture in the bedroom. Sound proofing was poor which kept us awake at night.

Pros: Great room, bath separate shower. Bed really comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Plenty of room to spread out, all the staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. We ate two main meals and lunch and breakfast during our stay and couldn’t fault a thing. It’s part of a group, another one of which we had had dinner at before. We would certainly like to explore their other offerings as if they are as good as the Spread Eagle then we’re sure to have a great time.
Cons: Nothing to report

Pros: Breakfast was very nice and plentiful.
Cons: Our stay unfortunately coincided with a wedding, at 3am the guests were still very noisy in the corridors, obviously that isn't the hotels fault though!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Room and facilities
Cons: Everything was excellent
5,8 Okay
Pros: The room was basic but nice. A very good shower.
Cons: There was a very loud party going on until midnight - it would have been nice to have a warning about this as we would have booked somewhere else. Some of the guests were in the room next to us and going up and down the corridor all night, speaking very loudly so we were repeatedly woken up. The door didn’t sound proof it at all, it felt like they were in the room with us. The hotel had no ear buds to help the situation.

Cons: Nothing

7,0 Good
Pros: I liked the bar, restaurant, the massive bedroom, tea and coffee provided. Lovely hot water in the bathroom, deep bath. Fluffy towels, beautifully tended gardens.
Cons: I'd booked the hotel as it had a swimming pool. We were only able to swim for a sort while, uncomfortably, due to swimming lessons being given to children all the time we were there, even on Saturday morning. This was a massive disappointment and I wouldn't have booked the hotel if I'd known. This is a big issue for us and we're unlikely to book again because of it.
6,0 Good
Pros: The hotel was OK for the money we paid, our room was pretty big but it could do with a bit of an update!
Cons: Room was dated, lighting wasn't great.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Has a great new restaurant
Cons: Rooms need refurbishing but it’s excellent
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous, large and warm rooms. Comfy bed, big fluffy towels, and plenty of space in the suites.
Cons: Nothing, was only here one night
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious. We stayed in a twin room which had a separate lounge seating area which was unexpected. The rooms were clean and bright.
6,0 Good
Pros: Like the location and size of the rooms.
Cons: The hotel was a bit tired and needed a revamp. The steam room could have been cleaner.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, great modern bar and restaurant, fantastic breakfast, comfortable bed.
Cons: Room was a bit dated but that’s just being a bit picky.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Room needs updating, shower could have been more powerful and bathroom needed a refurb. Access to the annex and room was difficult as required many attempts to unlock with card key. There was no bottled water in the room.
