Pros: Very clean new rooms and a very friendly and helpful chambermaid on the 5th. floor (many thanks for the daily fruits!). The location is very near to a local subway, some opportunities for breakfast and the Niujie - street (google it! Hotpot!). And last but not least: The nice staff got us an upgrade to a larger room :-)

Cons: Since some upper rooms of the hotel are still under reconstruction (Oct. 2019), it might occur that you can hear noises (drills, etc.) after nine o'clock. When you intend to leave in the morning, this will not bother you at all (It did not bother me, by the way).

Cons: The room keys seemed to not work after one day at a time. Every day would go to the room to find out that the key didn’t work, and have to go back down to the front desk and get it reprogrammed. A little frustrating

Cons: Facility is a little bit old. The room and shower is cold in Beijing winter. Some staffs may need additional training. We asked for a second quilt. Although a staff came quickly, she walked in straightly away and put the quilt into the case on the bed when I was laying there with pyjama...We were astonished. I was mistakenly charged twice. The staff put in a refund request shortly after I pointed it out. I was told the refund will arrive within 30 days.

Cons: Bad communication during the national days about the traffic control. We had to search the information and nothing was clear. No restaurant close to the hotel except this one of the hotel.

Cons: Poor menu, you relied on the Buffet. Whilst the buffet was of a satisfactory standard, we expected a hotel of this standard to impress with a much more diverse menu and present a complex fusion of east verse west food. Overall the menu was bland and what you would expect at a below average cafe in Australia.
