Pros: Pascal, our host, went to some trouble to recommend places we might like to visit.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I loved this little bed and breakfast. The owner was very helpful and answered a lot of questions and you could tell he wanted to provide the kind of service that would bring people back. I know I would definitely stay there again. The value for the money was the best I found throughout all the places that I stayed in France. An added bonus is it’s proximity to the hub of town.
Cons: Not much to say here. Only be aware of the fact that this is a bed and breakfast so it has more limited check in times. But definitely worth it!
10,0 Excellent

Cons: WiFi is sub standard.

Pros: Excellent staff, location, awesome pillows and mattress, having a top sheet, huge room with a view!
Cons: Bathroom doors have a gap and dont lock. They were okay, but might not work for everyone.

Pros: location; cleanliness; courtesies and attitude of staff
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel was perfect for accessing sites in Bayeux and the free parking made dealing with the car a breeze when travelling out to the landing beaches, etc. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I wish breakfast was included in the rate (it was either 22 or 25 euro extra otherwise) but as the hotel is just adjacent to the main street getting breakfast was no problem. Our room had a view of the cathedral and overall it was a great experience.
Cons: Minor issues--no hair conditioner, could have used more towels but they were good about bringing more. Gym could have been bigger/better but this was actually one of the few hotels in the area that even had a fitness center so again a minor thing as we were just glad to have one.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Our room had an amazing view of the cathedral and was in a perfect location Staff was extremely helpful Breakfast included eggs cooked to order, cereals, yogurts, homemade jams, breakfast meat- was delightful
Cons: Wish Fitness room was better Bike was broken and weights poor

Pros: An absolute pleasure. Probably the best hotel we ever stayed in.

Pros: Hotel Lara was our last stop and I was very happy we stayed there. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Breakfasts were special. I enjoyed having clean towels and the room readied for sleeping each night. Recommendations and directions were also very helpful.

Pros: Sandrine was a fantastic host! We stayed in a room with a large bed and an attached room with a single bed. The place was immaculately clean, rooms were good size, and the decor was stylish. Breakfast was delicious and the company of the fellow guests and Sandrine added to our enjoyment. The location couldn't be better in the heart of Bayeux and proximity for visiting the historic D-Day sites. Highly recommend!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We’ve travelled and stayed in a lot of places booked through this site. This is definitely one of the best. The location, charm, facilities etc are exceptional. The standout however is the host, Sandrine. She is the best host I have met. Friendly, polite, helpful, funny and the breakfast she made was incredible (better than the restaurants in Bayeux). We had an amazing time in the area and much of that was to do with this great place.
Cons: Couldn’t fault the property.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent! Sandrina was lovely and gracious, even made me gluten free crepes- she is the best!! We had an wonderful time and its location was SO good!
Cons: nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staying at Tour Louise is like staying with a friend. Sandrine goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. From her freshly baked breakfast items, to dinner reservations and tips on which places to visit; she is a wealth of information and always steered us in the right direction. Take advantage of her picnic lunches! Amazing and better than any tourist trap you might stop into. We took ours to Mont Ste. Michel, it was perfect!
Cons: N/A
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, with a different hot dish every day.
Cons: Would have liked a private car park rather than street parking.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Sandrine, what can I say? This lovely woman was absolutely wonderful. Easily the best hostess I have ever had and kind as can be. She was always willing to go the extra mile to tell me everything to expect for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and helped make my trip incredible. Great conversation and knew all the ins and outs of Bayeux and Normandy. On top of that, she surprised me with a gift at the end that, out of all my trips across Europe, is my favorite thing I’ve taken home. The hotel was comfortable and had a very relaxing feel to it, with an incredible view of the cathedral. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Cons: Very minor since I had my own, but the restroom was missing soap/shampoo.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: La Tour Louise is beautifully situated in the heart of Bayeux, close to the cathedral, restaurants, museums, and shops. The town has many ancient buildings and is very representative of Normandy. The hotel is in a traditional mid-nineteenth century building and fits into the theme of Bayeux and its history. Sandrine is a fantastic host, concierge, chef and conversationalist. Her English is good and she is very outgoing. Breakfast, served in the hotel, is homemade and delicious and we looked forward to the conversations around the breakfast table with Sandrine and other guests. Sandrine has great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend La Tour Louise as a hotel to stay in while in Normandy.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about La Tour Louise.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Sandrine was a wonderful host and welcomed us into her beautiful bed and breakfast. She was especially accommodating of our 8 month old baby (who was the biggest fan of her homemade yogurt). We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend La Tour Louise!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A real guesthouse where I was feeling extremely confortable just after my first few minutes there. Sandrine, the owner is an excelent host who can help on anything thwt you need, from local restaurants to nice locations passing by right times to visit a certain place. French breakfast where you can enjoy the daily sweet that Sandrine will prepare for you daily. Extremely good sleep and very confortable beds. A place not to miss if you want to enjoy your stay in the lovely city of Bayeux and the wonderful surroundings.
Cons: I liked everything. No complaints :)

Pros: Authentic, period accomodation, well placed for exploring Bayeux & Normandy landing beaches
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable armchairs & sitting area in room. In-room coffee making facility. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Breakfast table cluttered with foods. Perhaps just too much offered for breakfast such as too many crepes for two guests
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This is a big beautiful old, slightly shabby French house out in the countryside, about 5 km from Bayeux. We spend one night with our grandson in a family suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms, a conservatory and a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath (sadly, we weren't there long enough to try it out!). The owner was extremely friendly and helpful and keen to pass on his knowledge of the local area. The grounds are large and there is a play area for young children. Our grandson was particularly taken with the robot lawn mower which is what he will probably remember most about his holiday! Breakfast was huge and very tasty.

7,1 Good
Pros: We liked the location and our bedroom. We also enjoyed interacting with other guest at dinner.t
Cons: The toilet needed a good clean it's was very stained. We would have preferred more than one choice at dinner for the main course and sweet. We were served duck which we both dislike and the dessert was for too rich for our taste .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely spacious room with comfortable bed and sitting area in simple French style. The Breakfast here was a real feast. Every possible food available. We had an evening meal here which was top class. Nothing was too much trouble for Vincent the host. He was extremely attentive and helpful. He gave us information on local sights and parking which was invaluable. We loved being so near Bayeux and very convenient for the Landing Beaches.

Pros: We stayed at le Petit Sully 3 years ago and gave it 10 then. Our recent stay was just as good so it gets another 10. Full of character, good size bedroom and a fantastic breakfast. Jeanine is a marvellous host and SO friendly. Yes you might get cheaper accommodation locally, but I doubt you will get better without paying a great deal more.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: 1. Breakfast was not free. 2. Shampoo and soap not provided
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owner, Christele, went out of her way to help us. Her home is lovely and quaint.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very welcoming and helpful. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished. It was very comfortable, and spotlessly clean throughout, including the bathroom and shower. The location is quiet though superbly placed for the centre of the town.
Cons: The only very minor issue was it would be nice to be able to make a cup of tea/coffee in the room, which isn't currently catered for. This didn't really detract from the pleasure of our stay though.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the room was lovely. The hostess was lovely and communicated clearly about what was and wasn’t included.
Cons: I would have liked tea making facility but I knew before that it wasn’t there.

Pros: The location was Excellent! The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was plentiful and the innkeeper was charming and unbelievably helpful. It felt like we were visiting my French Aunt. She provided detailed directions for each of our outings — we didn’t need to book a tour when we had our own car & guidance! Myriam is a wealth of knowledge, and is eager to help; Isabelle is sweet, helpful and a good cook! Merci beaucoup for everything!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This is a small lovely property close the old town. The garden is wild and magnificent, together with chickens, cats and dogs. The apartment what we had was small and lovely and even if the bed was little bit "tired" and maybe need to replacing, it was still lovely place with amazing breakfast. 10 points for breakfast.
Cons: The bed linen needs an update and the bed as well.

Chambres d'Hôtes La Gloriette - Bayeux - Building

9,1 Excellent (276 reviews)
R1 100+
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was very pleasant, nice breakfast.
Cons: There is no mobile phone signal in the room, which made the lack of WiFi very inconvenient. The WiFi does not work. There was a lack of ventilation in the bathroom which made it damp, and only one clean towel each for a 3 day stay! Not impressed. The shared kitchen lacked a rubbish bin and paper towels, which would have helped make sharing the kitchen with the other occupants better.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay with Dominique and Nathalie. Our room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful, and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning with our hosts. Dominique and Nathalie went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, taking us into Bayeux every morning and picking us up in the evening. We could not have had a better experience.
Cons: Please be aware that cell service is pretty non-existent and wifi is not available for guests. This location is ideal for someone who has their own car. Dominique and Nathalie were very gracious and helped us by picking us up and taking us places, but this is not a location for you if you want to walk outside your door and be greeted by three restaurants, a museum, and a bank. Ryes is a small, mostly residential village.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The house athmospere, very friendly people running this chambre d’hotes.
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and clean. Nice French countryside. Good breakfast. They had a refrigerator for us to use. They had a guest cooking area for visitor's to use. The hosts were nice.
Cons: If you are staying in the main house, it is a little difficult getting up the narrow stairs with your luggage. Their was no a/c (which we didn't mind), so we had the windows open to enjoy the cool spring air. Their rooster began his morning ritual at 5:38am and continued about every 15 minutes until we left around 8:30am. Needless to say we didn't sleep in : (
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Rooms clean, beds comfy, bathrooms clean with plenty of hot water. There was a fridge on the landing for our use which was a bonus. Breakfast was ok with lovely homemade jam.
Cons: Rooms and bathrooms weren’t serviced over 4 night stay, therefore small bin in bathroom full, and would have been nice to have the washbasin and toilet cleaned each day and not to have to ask for a spare toilet roll. Only minor really but didn’t detract too much from our stay. Might be normal but beds not made, although not a problem for us
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Attractive and well kept, very quaint. The breakfast was awesome with wonderful jams made by our hostess, cheeses and fresh hot croissants.
Cons: We had a lovely pair of rooms on the top floor. Access, however, was difficult due to stairs with very narrow steps. If you have a mobility issue be sure to let them know in advance. If not, ask for these rooms!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. The traditional feel of the room and the eye to detail with interior design was amazing.
Cons: Not much but would have liked cereals offered for breakfast.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great coffee at breakfast, lovely bread etc plus homemade jams.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, nice people, very clean, hot water!
Cons: Only issue was the WiFi, that could have been better.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and with a lovely rustic decoration. The shower was sooo confortable. So confortable, again. Both spaces very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was delightful and of good quality. The inner garden between the room and the breakfast location is beautiful and with a lovely rabbit cutting the grass and being happy
Cons: The wifi signal was turning on and off constantly and we could not use it. I suppose It was a circumstantial thing though.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Opposite the cathedral and only a short walk to the Bayeux Tapestry, Battle of Normandy Museum and British War Cemetery. Good but busy restaurant with friendly service.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the bed, mattress was great. Room was small but they optimized every available inch for storage. Bathroom was huge for such a small space and everything was modern. We didn’t know the room had a complete kitchenette until I opened the closet the morning we left, and wow what a neat space. Overall the place and room was to me one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in just due to its setup, beautiful colors, and its modern take on design, and definitely its location. Unfortunately we stayed just the one night. I’d definitely stay there again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spotless and lovely. The location is perfect. Safe storage for our bikes and a laundry facility as well! Hang out on the lawn by the river after an afternoon of sightseeing.
Cons: Breakfast could be more interesting. Not much effort goes into it.

Pros: Great location within walking distance (and a great view) of the cathedral, shops, restaurants, and museums. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent with friendly service.
7,9 Good
Pros: Room very pleasant & modern. Extremely spacious.
Cons: Breakfast was not great
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location in Bayeux! We could walk to restaurants, shops and the cathedral and Bayeux Tapestry. The hotel restaurant was open from 7am to 10 pm daily, which was very convenient.
Cons: Room was very small with no place for clothing except a small closet. There were no usable shelves in bathroom for storage. We lived out of our suitcases, but it worked out okay.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Dinner at the restaurant was very good and a good value. We enjoyed the proximity to the cathedral, Bayeux Tapestry, and train station. There is a very small staff, but the desk clerk/waitress was very helpful. She even helped get out bags to and from our room. We dropped off our bags in the morning when our battlefield tour began and they were in our room when we checked in at about 7pm.
Cons: The breakfast left much to be desired. I had the impression breakfast was prepared the night before and set out in the morning.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with an easy walk to old Bayeux and it's sites. Comfortable room with good bedding and towels.
Cons: Noise from outside dining restaurant might bother some but its part of the experience.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location for city. Friendly staff
Cons: Roof room, limited head space. Slow WiFi. One poor evening meal
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in the centre of Bayeux , good breakfast , lovely staff , superb location right near the cathederal and 300mtres from the Tapistry

Pros: Everything was perfect. Thank you
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was friendly and eager to serve. Garden at the hotel was a nice quiet oasis
10,0 Excellent
Pros: From the street, you cannot guess how large this property is. A warm welcome, ample parking and a beautiful garden were just some of the things we loved. The location was perfect for wandering around Bayeux - especially for the Saturday market. The breakfast was fit for a king and, although on the more expensive side, was worth it for quality and quantity. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us - we’ll be back!
Cons: Something we noticed as we travelled through Normandy - no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We did have a travel kettle just in case. Other than that, it was perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel in town. The staff was friendly, charming, and so helpful. We would stay here again and have already recommended it to others.
7,5 Good
Pros: Great location, beautiful grounds, good breakfast
Cons: No elevator nor assistance with luggage. No air.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great! And the coffee was also great. Being American, it was nice to have a large cup of coffee and more protein options (eggs) for breakfast. We liked the location and the availability of parking.
Cons: The only issue is there is not air conditioning. Air room was on the first level, and it was not possible to leave the window open for air. There would be no privacy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was comfy and cozy. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our needs.
Cons: On the last day of our stay the breakfast buffet could have been maintained better, but we got what we needed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect and the service was excellent.
7,9 Good
Pros: Beautiful building, especially the exterior. Traditional style bedrooms nice view of the garden. A new clean bathroom. Parking on site.
Cons: Narrow winding stairs and gloomy corridors. A bottle of water in the bedroom and proper glasses not just plastic.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The garden.
Cons: No tea or coffee making facilities. Lacking in bathroom amenities with a very poor hair dryer. Impossible to get boiling water to make tea.

Pros: Close to Cathedral and town centre. Very private on lovely staff.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent.
Cons: The private terrace was not clean. Silt was left on the tiles so I had to clean it before we sat out. The bathroom could do with maintenance. The second basin sprays water and the WC is loose. The shower in the bathroom above sounds like it's taking place in your room, which at 6.00am is interesting.

Pros: It was perfect for what we needed.
Cons: nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The guest house had a nice ambience. The bathroom was a good size. The heated bath towel rack is a good touch. The bed and pillows were comfy. The view from our room at night of the Cathedral was special and the location was good. We arrived at 2.00pm and was able to access our room earlier than the 5.00pm check in which was much appreciated. The girl who checked us in (Severine?) was very nice. We also liked the resident dog we met Bimbo. We prefer a hot brekky but it was okay -the coffee and apple cake were enjoyable

7,3 Good
Pros: The hotel was extremely quaint, maintained very well, and was an ideal location for exploring the several attractions in Bayeux. While Monique, the proprietor, doesn't not speak English, she communicates in a way that is very accessible (and I found this to be excellent French practice :)
Cons: No complaints.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It's ok, nothing special. The house is really nice, but they make you use a side door, and except for breakfast, make it clear you are not welcome in the area.
5,3 Okay
Pros: Location is great. Close to city center and we could see the beautiful chapel from our room. Price was pretty good and the continental breakfast was surprisingly good.
Cons: No internet service despite what the hotel staff said. It needed to be reset but the staff is not available after 10:00 pm.

Pros: Location - perfect. Facilities - wonderful. Staff - very professional yet friendly and courteous - always made you feel like you were "coming home". Room - very clean and comfortable. We really liked how they had parking spots assigned before you arrived so you knew exactly where to park - made it so much easier. Restaurant - food and service excellent. We did an express breakfast which was perfect for us but breakfast buffet looked really good.
Cons: We found the drinks in the bar to be expensive.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is an old hotel but nicely renovated. There is limited parking and we reserved a space in advance. When we arrived, there was a parking space with our name on it. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was very good, but for an extra charge. The staff was helpful and courteous. The location could not be better. It was five minutes from the departure point for our D-Day beaches tour and there are lots of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. Definitely would stay here again.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Historical, charming, well located. Good breakfast and pleasant service.
Cons: We were on top floor. It was quite hot. No elevator. It was difficult to get bags up and down the stairs. No bell service.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We did not eat there but the location of the hotel was great - small little town and it was on the main street of the cute town and everyone was very friendly
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was like a cloud. The atmosphere was divine.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The lobby area smelled stongly of fireplace smoke and seafood. So we didn't have any interest in dining at the restaurant or enjoying a nightcap in the bar.
7,1 Good
Pros: Great location with nice courtyard for drinks. Good value breakfast.
Cons: The rooms are quite basic for the price tag. Bathroom also quite basic. Very noisy from rooms upstairs, people running back and forth.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very good. Helped with a parking issue, with a late checkout and with a lost electrical plug adaptor.
Cons: Room was nice but very small...there was a fan but it was hot. Restaurant was nice (including patio) and food was good- breakfast was reasonably priced, dinner was expenive.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location and the bar area. The parking space was convenient.
Cons: The furniture and the carpet in the room seemed a little old. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, right in the heart of town near all the sights. The pre-booked parking had my name displayed on it. Check in was quick and easy and our room was ready even-though we were early, The restaurant was a real treat, good food, service and wine.
Cons: Having to leave

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staffs knowledge of the area, and the recommendations for restaurants.
7,5 Good
Pros: Exquisite, elegant property in an amazing location. Staff are very friendly.
Cons: Awoken at 4am with the sound of something flying (literally) around the room. It was quick, so definitely not a butterfly or moth. I suspect it was a bird or even a nocturnal creature that sometimes roost in historic properties. I was hoping it would go into the bathroom so I could shut it in there. Eventually it stopped flying, I think disappearing into the holes of the wooden beams overhead. We stayed in a ground floor room off of the main parlor. I do not think there were any staff around at that time of the morning, so had to wait to mention it until checkout.

Pros: The perfect place for people travelling with dogs. Huge grounds.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Birds in garden facade of property linen and towels good
Cons: Very shabby but not chic! Dirty carpet in room and poor quality curtains and other fabric additions like bedspread. No effort made to make room homely or inviting. Bathroom very tired and badly decomposed grouting and caulking around bath. 4 adults in apartment and facilities like cups only provided for two. No offer of singles made into double bed
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Waiter needed more help
8,8 Excellent
Pros: This was a historic property with large grounds around it. The room was comfortable and beautiful with a large newish bathroom. Although the grounds weren’t a 10 as far as maintenance was concerned they were rather beautiful with several places to sit and relax.
Cons: The building exterior and grounds looked like they could use a little more maintenance.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: ambiance, good breakfast, comfortable, and peaceful.
Cons: Room 3: toilet operation needs attention, carpet appears worn.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and quiet. Good restaurant, lovely surroundings, black and white swans on the gardens overlooking a romantic stream.
Cons: Nothing - we loved it!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This chateau was magical. A ten minute walk from the train station, one enters an idyllic, magical setting. It looks EXACTLY like the photos. It's an oasis. Plus it's only another 20 minutes to walk into the city.
Cons: It would be great if the staff spoke better English but you can't have everything and, after all, we're visiting their country. They certainly went out of their way to be accommodating.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is beautiful in a beautiful village. It is a short walk to the town. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. We had a big family of 4, so we stayed in a suite with two rooms. It was great. Felt like our own private country chateau. The swans and geese were beautiful, as was the coi pond. It was serene and picturesque. Very relaxing. It was like staying in a fairy tale.
Cons: No shower curtain.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel is great. Good parking, and handy for the Beaches, and for the town.
Cons: Breakfast was really poor. Cold 'hot food', juice and other items ran out, only two cereals to choose from, and only one server who was busy behind the scene. For the next 3 mornings we ate out. Dinner reasonable in general but one evening we both ordered 'ile flottante'. It was awful - really inedible - just about 8-10 marshmallows thrown on the plate with a little sauce. Having tried them we sent them back, and asked that the chef to be informed. No apology, no replacement offered, still had to pay full price. We went out to eat the remaining evenings. Room - reception seemed to be expecting four for our room. The second bed (a settee) was made up as a bed and stayed that way over the four days so there was no relaxed seating in room. No tea or coffee available in room. Towels were so thin that they did not really dry one properly after a shower. The swans were nice but a lot of poo over the lawn.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet, peaceful location, convenient to the train station and a 10-15 walk into Bayeux. Good breakfast!
Cons: Since the hotel is an old chateau with great character, it's bathroom facilities did not include an enclosed shower. The toilet was located in a small closet separate from the sinks and tub. Did not like this setup.
6,3 Good
Pros: Location was great, stunning Chateaux
Cons: The management of the Chateaux needs to be improved. The facilities need upgrading. For instance two bathrooms in the "apartment" but upstairs apartment had no toilet which means guests upstairs have to go downstairs to use the toilet. The shower upstairs is in the bathtub which generally is not a problem but the shower head had no wall mounting resulting in "hand shower" situation.

Pros: The room had an excellent airconditioner, so we were also able to heat the room a bit :)
Cons: The rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear everything your neighbour guests say. The rooms are also a bit out-dated.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Blocked toilet in arrival told them but was advised last room . Nothing to be done till the morning . Unacceptable. No pillow protectors. Found hair on sheet. Mattress uncomfortable especially single bed. Restless sleep. Pillows are awful. Musty smell in the hotel and the room. No extractor fan in the shower room. Temp of shower changed suddenly due to other guests usage. In replacement for a working loo they offered us a free breakfast. I didn’t book the hotel for breakfast but for a decent bed and bathroom facilities.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The property was clean, comfortable and in a great location.
Cons: WiFi was below average. Very slow.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and owner were very lovely people and extremely helpful in every way, a joy to stay there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here for 3 nights with my adult son for a tour of the Normandy beaches and some other activities. I could not have been happier with the staff and accommodations at Hôtel Le Bayeux. Everyone there treated us so kindly. They all spoke fluent English. We asked them to make us dinner reservations two nights in a row and let them pick the places. Both times were home runs. My son and I had a blast and will definitely be returning to this property on our larger family trip in 2020. Élodie, the owner and manager makes sure everyone is happy and enjoying their stay. The room was clean and made up daily. Also, the breakfast is fresh with a good selection in a nice dining room on the second floor. There is free parking on the street along the sidewalk in front of the hotel and around the corner. Don't sweat it if you can't find a spot during the day because there is a paid lot just around the corner as well. Park there until things free up and then move your car when the crowds disperse. Élodie or anyone on the staff will help you with any issues, trust me. Finally, I didn't want to mess with laundry and packed light for an 11 day trip in France so the staff at Le Bayeux did all of mine for 20 Euros. I packed it up, checked out without any worries about laundry for the rest of my trip. Great stay. What more can I say?
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location.
Cons: The entrance lobby seemed a little disorganized so I was worried the rooms weren't going to be nice. But to my surprise the room was fantastic. I'll def stay again.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I can't say enough about the staff. They were so friendly, courteous and helpful in arranging tours, advising on sites to see, when best to see them, etc.. Also, the breakfast and the breakfast room were phenomenal. We stayed there four days and over that entire period the selection was always fresh and extensive offering something for every palate. There's a nice view of the Bayeux Cathedral from virtually every seat in the room. The property is a short walk to virtually anything you might want to do in Bayeux. For example, restaurants (abundant), shopping, the cathedral, the Bayeux Tapestry, the train station, etc. There's limited parking available at the hotel for 10 euros/night. I also liked that they had a small ice machine in the lobby that was available for my occasional iced drink. At the same location (lobby), they also had a drink cooler with very reasonably priced drinks (sodas, beer, wine, juices).
Cons: I don't want to say "I didn't like it" but I thought our particular room could have used some upgrades. For example, the ventilation and the lighting in the bathroom was poor. Even after the shortest shower I know how to take (i.e., Navy shower), the room would steam up and take seemingly forever to clear. I needed to use the hair dryer to get the mirror clear enough to shave. A light directly over the mirror would have also been useful. We were not expecting a Hilton- or Marriot-like accommodation but rather more of true, Normandy and French experience so I think our tolerance level for a smaller room with limited storage was high. In all fairness to the hotel, I believe they do have some larger rooms available, so if you know you're going to need space, I would suggest you look for their largest rooms.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good location v close to cathedral and Tapestry
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything and an easy walk.
Cons: All good!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Reception excellent. Breakfast also of a very high quality. Room was clean, ample and well decorated. Not too difficult to park nearby. Very pleasnt atmosphere in the hotel. Very near monuments, museums, restaurants and shops.
Cons: Everything was more than satisfactory.

Pros: Perfect location right in the town centre. Very good service Excellent restaurant Accommodating staff Heated pool
Cons: Family Room 505 in the under-eaves was very hot in August so had to sleep with the windows open which made it a little noisy and light st night. The hotel did provide a fan though. Breakfast was very good but a proper coffee machine would be welcome rather than a multi-hot drink dispenser.

Pros: Location was great for accessing restaurants and the town centre. Arramanche was 20 mins away. The pool was a real treat - heated with a waterfall and a current flow at the push of a button for fun! And a hot tub. The family room for 4 was good value. Pros: Location was convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in Bayeux. Unfortunately, Hertz rental car at Total gas station required a cab ride to get to. Might be worth the effort to find another car rental place closer in town.
Cons: Restaurant was o.k., nothing special and pricey. We were able to get the same continental breakfast down by the cathedral for less than half the cost. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable. Bathroom, although spacious, didn't work well. There was no place to put personal items.

Pros: Great hotel situated in the heart of Bayeux. Easy walking distance to everything. Staff were friendly and a great breakfast.
Cons: Shower head kept slipping down the adjustable post. Had to wash my hair like a limbo dancer.

Pros: ADEQUATE, APART FROM ONE DAY WHEN THE SERVICE WAS VERY POOR.
Cons: There was no air conditioning, and the room was hot. (Fan supplied though). The fittings were 'tired'. The lavatory seat was loose. Parking was a challenge, as there were limited spaces for a car park shared between 2 hotels. The restaurant menu seemed to be the same for the whole of our stay (we used it once).

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and location were great. Many parts of the hotel, including our rooms, seem to have been recently remodeled/updated.

Pros: The reception staff were lovely. My daughter loved being able to chill in the hot-tub after working nights, and they fixed her up with a towel and bath robe without being asked. They looked after our bags before check in and after check-out, coped with our dodgy attempts at French, and made sure that we were well looked-after. I hope to return and stay here again.
Cons: Too short a stay (ok, that's my fault!) A slightly earlier check-in would've been nice, though they did let us check in at 2pm (advertised as 3pm).
