The chateau is amazing and the owners are lovely hosts. The breakfast is amazing and the location is so peaceful.
Nothing... it was perfect
The breakfast was exceptional. The rooms were spacious but the breakfast was not to be missed. Out host, Vincent, was also extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable trip.
I like a firm bed so I would have voted for something a bit firmer although my husband was content. Also, cause its an older house the floors are kind of squeeky but a couple of ear plugs helped that out.
This property dates to 1150. The current owners did a fantastic job of renovating. They incorporated new amenities like modern bathrooms in this fabulous chateau. Vincent welcomed us warmly & prepared amazing breakfasts. He offered his local knowledge of the area including tips on touring & restaurants. Highly recommend.
It was rainy & the grounds soft. The parking area was muddy.
Our two night stay at this chateau was everything we hoped it would be. It was a short drive from all of the important D-Day sites we wanted to visit and near the quaint village of Bayeux. The owners, Vincent and Corinne, were incredibly gracious and we were treated to an exceptional breakfast, complete with crepes and omelettes and fresh squeezed orange juice. Our room was quite spacious with a separate glass enclosed sitting area overlooking the grounds, which are beautifully manicured with a fountain and large fish pond. Loved everything about our stay!
Breakfast was great and owner very attentive. Great hot coffee and juices. Just a short drive to town but u need a gps. Hot water galore. Shower was good. Old.house ambiance, rate was fair. Owner was like energizer bunny in the am!
Owner seemed baffled when we arrived Bed was hard and room dimmly lit. Towels and toiletries were subpar. Website indicated that owner might cook evening meal with notice but he nixed that idea. Carry ur luggage upstairs
