Excellent 9,2
Pros: Centrally located hotel. Perfect for a flying visit.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very friendly host, comfortable beds, good breakfast.
Cons: A bit more information about parking would have been usefil.
Good 6,7
Pros: Lovely couple who own the hotel who were very helpful in a number of ways.
Cons: Hotel was difficult to find even with phone GPS. Very confusing due to street closures and construction. Parking not easy as well.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Central location close to oldest part of town and restaurants and pedestrian shopping area. Good breakfast and owners ready to help with sightseeings in the whole area (D-day beaches, memorials, etc.)
Cons: Road works in the nearby carpark. Not impacting the comfort of the hotel, just made it a bit tricky to park the car during week days.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: . Great hosts and looked after my bike with no issues..
Cons: The ONLY complaint was the inability to make tea or coffee after 10pm or before 7am .. had expected tea / coffee making facilities in the room .. hadn’t read the specifications in great detail but was my expectation so no real criticism.. made up for in any case by the hosts accomodating attitude
Excellent 9,2
Pros: central located, nice staff, double windows and clean fresh room.
Cons: if you have a problem w/stairs just to remind you: no elevator (we didn’t). google maps is not updated regarding road work around the hotel! arrive from Rue Saint Jean.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: The rooms were clean.
Cons: There were no facilities, no lift, many stairs to get bags up and down. The rooms are very small. Nothing like what is suggested on the website for the property.
Good 7,1
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Beds and pillows were not comfortable.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The couple that ran the hotel were lovely and really helpful . There is secure parking for motorcycles in their garage
Cons: It was all perfect
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Excellent hotel. The room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and newly refurbished. Very central location but quiet. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.

Excellent 9,6
Pros: Receptionist really welcoming and helpful. Central location. Clean and tidy eastablishment
Cons: Parking on site would be nice but as It is in the city an understandable situation. Perhaps a concise indication of the parking available nearby would be good. E g. Free on street parking after 1900 until 09-30 the next day.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: No elevator
Cons: Location, staff support and pricing
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Wonderful help from Laure in reception
Good 7,1
Pros: The owner was very accommodating about check in. She had sent an email with he code to enter the front door, unfortunately we were traveling and did not get it. When we arrived it was after checking time, but she had a phone number posted and when we called she provided the code and then came down to greet us, even though she had already laid out the keys for our room on the desk. A very pleasant experience for us.
Cons: It would have been nice to have a fan in the room as it was a hot summer night, there is no A/C and street noise prevents you from sleeping with the windows open. With the windows closed it is very quiet. Also it would be a nice touch to provide a few extra pillows in the rooms. It would definitely add to the comfort of the room.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Lovely staff spotless good location
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The location was excellent
Cons: The room was extremely small
Good 7,5
Pros: a very nice owner and helpful.

Pros: Great location. Convenient tram ride away from the train station. Laure was very sweet and helpful.
Cons: If the windows are open, it can be loud.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Owner is fabulous! She helped with many things including an adapter when ours broke as well as directions, calling taxis, etc! Thank you!!!
Cons: Need larger bathrooms, but that is Europe!
Excellent 9,6
Pros: uper friendly and efficient lady on front desk. Great location near Chateau and lots of restaurants in Vaugeux
Cons: Nothing- good value

Excellent 8,3
Pros: reception staff could be a bit more friendly but otherwise it was great
Cons: couldn't open a window
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Modern, minimalistic and urban in the otherwise romantic Caen.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fantastic location, clean and awesome breakfast
Okay 5,7
Pros: Close to train station and restaurants/shopping mall within walking distance. If you are just looking for a place to sleep with no extra fancy amenities then this hotel is fine.
Cons: No parking at hotel so you need to use the public underground parking garage. Parking is validated from 6pm to 9am. No restaurant on site. Breakfast is limited. Cereal, fruit, pastries, cheese, etc but no full breakfast choice. First room I checked into had broken AC. Initial reply from front desk was to open the window. Asked to transfer to a new room.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: New and clean Parking free during night (I think it was 1800 - 0900) Friendly reception Good standard breakfast with everything available even with lots of people
Cons: not able to open windows
Good 7,9
Pros: The hotel is in very close walking distance to the train/bus stations as well as to the bus stops for the airport bus. A lovely area on the Orne and close to many restaurants, cinema and a shopping mall. Most staff were helpful in giving directions to needed places as I didn't have a smartphone or if they weren't, they told me when somebody else would be available who could help me. I had an upgraded room which had a bath as well as a shower and a wonderful view towards the river and town with great sunsets. I loved the relaxation corner in reception where you could make yourself a free cup of tea or coffee and help yourself to biscuits or fresh fruit. Breakfast is varied and plentiful although the only cooked options are boiled eggs and toast. Good value for money.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Hotel looks brand-new, stayed at #309 which is very spacy, was clean decent view
Cons: Payed 130 for the night which for an ibis styles is rather on the high side....
Excellent 9,2
Pros: A really comfortable bed in a quiet room. The hotel location is ideal for arrival by train or by bus from the airport at Caen Carpiquet. The new trams now pass in front of the hotel. The river location is relaxing The breakfast is varied and good value for money with lovely fresh bread, fresh fruit salad and good coffee as well as cheeses, ham, boiled eggs, pastries etc. I loved the fact that you can make a tea or coffee when you want at no extra cost in the reception area as well as helping oneself to a biscuit or a piece of fruit. Staff were usually helpful and knowledgeable. There are many good restaurants nearby for lunch or evening meals.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Great location, easy to find. Room was clean and very comfortable. It was spacious for a family of 4.
Cons: Nothing, with only staying for 1 night we didn't use all the facilities so couldn't really comment.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: N/A
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Despite the problem with the air conditioner, overall it is a good hotel in a good location. at breakfast there are no tomatoes and no cucumbers !
Cons: Although the hotel looked new and renovated, the air conditioner did not work at all - no heating and no cooling, it was impossible to operate at all and the staff could not repair it! ... We were offered another room, luckily there was a nice weather and we slept with an open window.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Loved this small hotel - great location (we walked from train station) such a friendly welcome, info provided and such a very comfortable bed and room.
Cons: Only tiny thing I could suggest is some milk for tea coffee as 2 tiny sachets provided not enough for one cup in Australia. It was not a problem though because upon request they delivered more.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Central location and helpfulness of staff
Cons: Car parking and access to hotel by car. Instructions to get to the hotel did not apply because of road works - these should have been updated to reflect a situation which had been ongoing for several weeks.
Good 7,0
Pros: Nice centrally based hotel.
Cons: Parking an issue together with, at the time, some serious roadworks round the centre of Caen making access difficult
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Centrally located, minutes from the train station and Caen Memorial Museum. Front desk staff very helpful in providing information and assistance in tour activity.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Great location, helpful staff.

Pros: Everything
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Just an around excellent choice
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Hotel is in the city centre near all major buildings, cathedral, chateau, abbey etc. but was quiet. The staff (including cleaners, waitresses, were friendly, highly efficient and knowledgeable. In fact, in 3 weeks in France staying in hotels of all shapes, sizes and prices this was the best one we stayed in!! Excellent bike storage with video surveillance.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fantastic beds, bathrooms and linen Delicious breakfast - we appreciated their help to accommodate vegan diets
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very comfortable room, clean. Nice location, close to bus stop that will take you to the city centre or memorial. Very delicious food, both roomservice and restaurant! Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Cons: Taps are a bit loosened in the bathroom.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: big spacious car park, very nice and cosy spa area
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nice size comfortable room. We used the spa facilities for the extra 15euro each ,which was great after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was outstanding as was the meal in the restaurant
Cons: Nthing
Okay 5,8
Cons: In the spa water is very dirty as like do not change 15 days. In room do not lighting. In the shower do not brash and pest for clients. Just thinking 5 stars in the room not much lighting.
Good 7,1
Pros: We had a very comfortable room and enjoyed the little touches - chocolates and a lovely recipe to try ourselves. The location is great for access to Caen either walking or the bus stops very close.
Cons: The staff were extremely unhelpful and therefore we did not get to eat in the restaurant or even enjoy a drink at the bar. We ordered room service and this too was very disappointing in lack of choice, tasteless food and no milk. When I called reception, no answer. On leaving to settle our bill I was not even asked how was my stay. Very disappointing.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: It was in a quiet part of Caen. All main routes were easily accessible The restaurant was amazing the food was delicious. They also had a Normandy gin which was really good so good we bought two bottles. Visiting Bayeux and Arramanch to see the WW11 museum about the D/Day landings was very interesting.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Location, lovely room and nice staff.
Cons: WiFi was not great but a small item in a good stay
Good 6,3
Pros: Quite location and private parking
Cons: Restaurant staff is staring towards the rooms windows during their smoke brakes (bathroom has a window too). Walls in the rooms are dirty from bags and dust. Too far from the center and all other restaurants besides the one in the hotel which is not working on Sundays and Monday’s. Breakfast is average. Would not recommend it to my friends. Also. When checking in I saw how a receptionist helped to carry luggage to the car of previous guest. No one has offered me the same service. This is not 5 star hotel, 3+ max. Choose something in the city center.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Restaurant was good
Cons: Front office staff slightly stern. We went to courtyard for a drink - no cushions offered for outdoor furniture Nor any attention following initial drink after 45mins. No shower - it’s a tap in the bath

Pros: nous avons apprécié l'accueil du personnel, prêts à nous renseigner et accéder à nos demandes
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Place was spotless, in a nice area, beds were very comfortable, rooms were nice
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities in room, no air conditioning,
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Currently being refurbished but didn't affect my stay. Great welcome, nice room, clean and quiet, the Pizza Bus across the street does great pizzas. Breakfast was good and location was prime for my meeting.
Cons: Nothing
Okay 4,0
Pros: It was very close to the Zenith so we could easily and quickly walk to a concert.
Cons: The limited dining times - from 7pm in the evening so no chance of a hot drink or dining earlier. The lack of hotel staff at the desk in the early morning. The desk area was still all locked up at 6.45am so no-one was available to help with problems. The lack of availability of water or other drinks (tea & coffee).
Good 7,3
Pros: Excellent value for money and location for visiting Caen, beaches and port. Ample free parking, which was great as we'd driven up from Spain. City centre was only a short simple drive away or a 20 min walk.
Okay 5,3
Pros: A good basic hotel, with friendly staff.
Cons: Room a bit cold for end of October.
Good 6,0
Pros: Stayed one night to catch the ferry and evening meal was good. As the ferry was early unable to have breakfast.
Cons: Decided to stay two nights on return the following week, when I booked the two nights I was assured it would be the same reduced rate, foolishly I didn't get it in writing. I was put into a room that the TV didn't work and no soap dispite repeated requests. Not a good experiance!!
Okay 5,7
Pros: Good restaurant in hotel altho limited menu. Liked being able to have 2 interconnecting rooms for family. Staff all spoke excellent English and were very helpful. Convenient for ferry from Caen
Cons: Bit out of the way-a good 20 mind walk to town centre but near to Expo-Parc. Staff rather harrassed serving in restaurant and attending to reception but pleasant and helpful all the same.
Good 6,4
Pros: Inexpensive. Good front staff. Service in restaurant was excellent , allowed us to make our concert easily.Food was good value, filling rather than gourmet but well cooked and presented. Wifi easy to access.
Cons: No exhaust fans in bathroom
Mediocre 3,3
Pros: the hotel was east to locate and had its own parling, yje rooms were reasonably comfortable and the family room consisted of 2 adjoining rooms. most of the front staff spoke english
Cons: service for the evening meel was very poor, the staff consisted of a young trainee waitress and the very overworked experienced waitress who was also the barmaid and receptionist. it took over 2 hours to gey a simple 3 course meal ( 2 courses were from buffets) after a number of complaints. our set off time meant leaving the hotel at 6.30 am and had to guess where to leave keys as no night porter.the bathrooms were tattty

Excellent 9,6
Pros: This hotel made us feel very at home and the bed was probably the best I have experienced in a hotel. The staff were very friendly and were always available for local information. It’s quite small one of the oldest buildings in Caen-built in 1680 - and was a little quirky as a result. Ideal for anyone not looking for a super modern luxurious hotel. I would certainly stay there again.
Cons: Just a little more space for breakfast.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The receptionist was lovely - really friendly and informative, though speaks little English, and the two rooms rented were really nice (though room 7 was of a much higher standard than room 4 - which doesn't include tea-making facilities and doesn't have a dual-head shower, as found in room 7). Having little biscuits in both rooms was a nice touch.
Cons: More tea/coffee options in room 7, and similar facilities in room 4. And digital tv so that there are at least some channels, such as news channels, in English.
Okay 4,2
Pros: Staff
Cons: To much expensive for those standards
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Good breakfast at a communal table which led to some interesting conversations with fellow guests.(so much for trying to avoid Brexit whilst away) Superb location in a city which had much more interesting architecture than I had been led to believe. The hotel itself is in a charming old building in an interesting neighbourhood.
Cons: Somewhat noisy but this was unavoidable given the excellent location
Good 7,9
Pros: Good location and very friendly staff that made everything easy even before arriving.
Cons: The room will provide need soon a renovation, although it is still ok.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: A real character building, one of the oldest remaining in Caen. Clean and comfortable. Do let the manager know before hand that you want to have breakfast so he can prepare enough. He was very accommodating and friendly and managed to put on a fine breakfast. The manager and the character of the building were definitely highlights for us. As was sharing a breakfast table with a delightful couple from Portugal.
Cons: The shower did not appear to have enough hot water, or we did not know how to use it properly. It would benefit from instructions if this is the case as late arrivals self check in via a code. This is not a dislike, just a note that there is no parking, only on road parking. It is free on the evenings and, at least on a Saturday, it is free up until 9:30. After that is is around €1.00 an hour. The manager was very good at letting us know that in correspondence.
Mediocre 3,3
Cons: In the hall way was a urin smell. Same in our room but not as strong. The bed sheet was dirty. Generally the room was ok . Bathroom a disaster. The room between toilet and sink to small. The towel holder next to the toilet brush so that every time by removing the towel could be avoided to wipe over the toilet brush. Despite paid room cash ,the hotel debited the money from card. Contacted several times the reception and after 12 days the amount wasnt refunded to the account. It's not understandable how this hotel is having a rating over 8.there are major issues with service and especially cleanliness
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean and good value
Cons: Could have had tea and coffee facilities
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Love this hotel. The staff are friendly and patient. The rooms have character and are comfortable. The breakfast spread is excellent and in a nice cosy setting. And of course the location is ideal for exploring the centre. All in all, a lovely hotel.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I loved the charm of Hotel Etienne - how the owner was able to incorporate the old with the new. The staircases refurbished their natural wood, and special features in the room lent to its appeal. ( built in the wall linen closet, etc.) Ayman, the college student who worked the desk, among other roles was wonderful! He was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Friendly staff , nice to have a hotel reception and not a key pad !!!
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Breakfast was pretty good but for a Coeliac (no gluten a must) in common with most French hotels (as we found) it consisted of a few slices of ham, a hard-boiled egg and a yogurt.
Cons: Very tired hotel which has been redecorated (painted) but still old/tired fittings. Shower cubicle was about 197x vintage dim/dark and had an electric fan-heater on the wall (we didn't touch it!). The only hotel on a 2 week tour where we decided not to use the shower that night - it just didn't look at all usable. Happy to leave next day after pretty reasonable breakfast.
Good 7,9
Pros: The location was ideal and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The breakfast was a little sparce. Probably not good value.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Fabien at the desk was fantastically helpful. He provided us with information, directions, opened the bar and served us. He was very cheerful, spoke perfect English and had a sense of humor. Wonderful! Everyone was great!
Good 7,1
Pros: The staff was main highlight of this property. Very friendly, super helpful. The property has some upgraded rooms.
Cons: Property needs to be completely renovated. Adding laundry facilities would be a nice addition.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Location good ,food good and reasonably priced everything you need for an over night stop
Cons: Car park was nearly full on arrival due to a seminar/ meeting
Okay 5,4
Pros: Staff very pleasant and welcoming
Cons: Location was not as near to town as expected. The hotel is a budget hotel so I had realistic expectations but it was shabby. Bedroom itself was clean but bathroom was unpleasant. Shower hose was either dirty or rusty
Okay 4,6
Pros: Great welcome by staff.
Cons: Beds and bedding particularly pillows were uncomfortable.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Good location, easy to find, friendly staff, very comfortable beds and nice breakfast.
Cons: We weren't being too loud on arrival at 10.30pm, but were very quickly asked to be quiet so it seems the walls must be quite thin.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Staff were very friendly.
Cons: Room wasn't ready at 3pm but they did give us all drinks whilst we waited half hour.

Pros: Very good location in the center of Caen with a nearby car park usefull to leave your car overnight. Clean room and good breakfast.
Cons: Overall it was what I expected for the price payed, no luxuries, but perfectly adequate.
Okay 5,0
Pros: The location was very good
Cons: The bathroom in one of our rooms was dirty with human excrement on the toilet bowl. The rooms were very noisy from a bar opposite until 2.30am.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The hotel is situated in the centre of Caen, so very convenient for all facilities.
Cons: The breakfast was typically continental but a cooked option would be welcome
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The location is absolutely perfect in Caen. The breakfast is ok. Fresh rooms and good cleaning. Very smooth with parking in the house.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Nice place to based yourself to visit Caen. Very central and good location from castle and restaurants etc.
Cons: Basic hotel, no hot drink making facilities in the rooms, small room, continental breakfast was left wanting. Pretty basic for our children who didn’t have much choice either, so left hungry! The view from window was the stoned roof below and a courtyard -
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Good position in the city centre public parking next door close to all sights good breakfast with freshly made orange juice
Cons: Quite a small room for breakfast difficult to move when many guests are there
Good 7,9
Pros: clean, functional, really helpful staff. Good breakfast choices
Cons: Very noisy in the street outside until 5AM. thought we were at war. Very compact
Good 7,5
Pros: Breakfast was good.
Cons: Beds were awful. Uncomfortable, narrow, weird mattress and topper...Ibis's new "Sweet" beds......worst sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Room hot and stuffy. Opening the window at night was impossible because of the racket from nearby bars going on until the early hours.

Pros: Very helpful staff. There is limited parking at the hotel, fortunately there is a public car park across the road! We didn’t need to pay for parking as it is free for British tourists anywhere in Caen! The hotel was clean and our room was very comfortable. There are local cultural attractions locally and lots of places to eat nearby if you don’t eat at the hotel.
Cons: The breakfast offered a good choice but was expensive compared to similar hotels so we ate locally. There appeared to be a lot of student accommodation around the hotel and they were very noisy till after 3 am! The double glazing didn’t block the noise and we were on the 3rd floor.
Good 7,1
Pros: Very good location, friendly staff, clean room
Cons: the room was a quite small, there was almost no space for our small suitcases
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great breakfast!
Good 7,1
Pros: Modern room and bathroom, and location
Cons: Breakfast
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The hotel was lovely, clean and comfortable. Location was A1 for all the shops and cafes, bus, trams and trains. Would certainly stay here again if we visit Caen.
Cons: Not overly important but a slightly earlier check in time....
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Hotel is pretty accessible and easy to find when you do not know the city. The staff was always smiling and ready to help you out. The room got everything you need during your stay
Cons: Nothing to say...
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Central location and rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy parking outside the hotel as well. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Nothing
Good 7,1
Pros: Location
Cons: The city is an important turistical spot, receiving many visitors from all over the world. Unfortunately the staff does not speak English which affects considerably the communication with the guests
Good 7,0
Pros: Clean efficient and spacious
Cons: Nothing
Good 7,1
Pros: Friendly staff - asked if we wanted to speak English or French and as we are learning French let us practice our terrible French when I think from overhearing conversations with other customers all staff spoke better English than we do French so it would have been quicker just to explain to us in English. But then we wouldn’t learn. Great central location.
Cons: Room smaller than expected, no tea and coffee facilities in room. Parking difficult I.e in short supply and on meters for a few hours at a time unless drive to a big multi-storey some distance away which cost €18 for 24 hours. Maybe we picked the wrong car park and there were better long stay options.

Pros: Clean room. Clean toilet and shower. Friendly. When asked, there al lot possibly / flexible.
Cons: I think we had two of the smaller rooms. ....
Okay 5,0
Pros: Having a studio was nice and parking
Cons: Very disappointing....a couple of miles from anything....room very dated and basic.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Friendly helpful staff, very informative (if not sure about a location or parking questions, they will be happy to help) Clean studio room with all amenities Comfy clean bed. Bathroom a shower with a bath! Optional continental breakfast, which we decided to have. Very nice Safe parking, nice area. Location for places of interest historical from medieval to WW1 & D-Day landing beaches and many other historical sites all within driving distance. Very pleasurable stay. Would recommend Le Bellevue without doubt Thank you to the staff there, make our mini stay enjoyable. Plus this is a 2 star hotel, it exceeded our expectations, as we have stayed in many 3 stars hotels and not had good as this. So thank you.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Excellent for a one night stop. Good breakfast with lovely fresh croissants .
Excellent 9,6
Pros: ALL WAS PRETTY GOOD....
Cons: THE FACT OF CHARGING 9 EUROS CLEANING CHARGE OR CLEAN IT YOUR SELF WE LEFT IT AS CLEAN AS WE FOUND IT AND STILL BELIEVE WE WERE CHARGED ANY WAY...….
Excellent 10,0
Pros: its perfect, exceeded my expectations. very clean. i wish only there was a hair dryer.
Cons: no hair drtyer
Good 7,9
Pros: It is how I would explain a clean bed sit. It suited us fine as we could cook from the room and could take the dog. There isn’t any grassy area for the dog in the amediate area but just up the road is a small treeed area. This is great for travelers looking for a cheep stop over that enables you to not have to eat out. Plus Aldi is directly opposite
Cons: The property is very dated and was quite musty when we arrived. No aircon so window was open all night with noise from the road.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Location..short driving distance from the city. Apartment better than expected. Soap, shower gel, washing up liquid, toilet rolls all provided.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Central location. Very friendly and helpful host. Yummy continental breakfast.
Good 6,7
Pros: The staff was very friendly. It was convenient to park behind the hotel. The room had a good size. The shower was comfortable.
Cons: The matrasses were too soft and a bit saggy. So, unfortunately, we did not sleep well. Cooking in the kitchenette was a challenge. The available pans are slightly too big to fit on the stove at the same time.

Pros: Great hotel to stay at after a long day of driving.
Okay 5,8
Pros: Location
Cons: We couldn't get the sofabed down and there was no one to ask.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Nice size rooms , soft bed , excellent shower , kettle and hair dryer provided
Cons: On a business park, nothing near by
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfortable bed. Nice staff and area
Cons: Sadly our car got strached by another client all down the side! Any help available for this?
Okay 5,4
Pros: We have been staying here for years as it is very convenient for the Caen ferry. Restaurant has been good in the past, but we didn't use it this time.
Cons: Decor is dated and looks shabby. There is no longer provision for tea and coffee in the room, which we miss as we always arrive here late and need to leave early. It can be rather hot and stuffy on a warm night.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff pleasant. We arrived late after 2230 and didn't know where to eat. Staff not only located a restaurant serving still but phoned them and booked a table for us. We had booked for two adults and one child but got two rooms with adjoining doors for better value than some hotels with triple beds in one room. The buffet breakfast for only €11 extra was great with so much food it's value for money too!
Cons: Nothing
Good 7,5
Pros: The air conditioning was nice and strong.
Cons: We had a few bugs including one in the bed.
Okay 4,2
Pros: Location, easy to find.
Cons: Check in slow. Room very smelly. Couldn' get any food. Restaurant was only open "to groups" so we had to walk in pouring rain to restaurant. Check out was worse. Nobody on reception. We walked to car and were rudely shouted at demanding, Name, Room Number, and had we paid. Very disappointig experience.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Location, staff really friendly and helpful
Cons: Family room located at top of hotel and no lift or a phone in case of urgency
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Staff...helpful friendly exceptional
Cons: nothing

Pros: The pool was great

Good 7,1
Pros: Good location
Cons: Very expensive bar prices
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Swimming pool and rooms lovely. Amazing restaurant.
Cons: All was good.nothing could have been better.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Location was quite
Cons: Good location for what I wanted
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Staff were willing and helpful. Brilliant location, with many signposts to Caen Memorial over the road, main highways are near but not imposing.
Cons: A little more choice for breakfast.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Breakfast and evening food were fine.
Cons: We found out later in the evening that one bedroom door lock was broken. Staff could not get electrician but did offer another room. It was too late to move with a young child so they offered plastic wedges to secure the room!?!. We put a chair behind the door as well and had adjoining rooms so that we could check the room. We felt this was inadequate and well below expectations. In the morning the cleaner saw the wedges and kicked them to open the door... Hmm! We then spoke to the owner who said we were perfectly safe...As a gesture, she did not charge for one breakfast... We were not impressed. We would not use this hotel again!!! Photo shows wedges.
Good 7,9
Pros: Swimming pool was good
Cons: No tea and coffee making facility in room. Lack of atmosphere. Paid over 5 euro for a little basket of chips !
Good 7,9
Pros: Very friendly staff at the 24/7 reception Pool (when it's rainy outside and not much to do) Free parking Proximity to Caen's Memorial (<10 minute walk)
Cons: Outside of the town, need a car to go to city center. Little shampoo and soap of poor quality (I'm glad I had mine) No towel for the pool. Just 5 transat at the pool quicly crowded. No boiler in the room (I do understand there is a bar in the hotel, but a courtesy coffee would have been nice)
Okay 5,8
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The room was a little small and pretty old fashioned. It doesn't look like it's been decorated in a long time. The bathroom was functional and clean but the shower was laid out in a strange way that made it impossible to stop water going everywhere. The beds were rock solid and the TV didn't have the feature to change the audio like other hotels do. I don't know if it's just France in general but everything is very expensive now. It was what equates to £75 a night here and in England that would get you a much nicer room. Then again the fuel here is £1.70 a litre and toll roads cost around £13 each so I think France is just an over expensive place now it's using the Euro.
Good 7,9
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent as was the decor in the dining area and the location very easy to find. Swimming pool was good but a little dated and changing facilities poor.
Cons: The bedroom was a little tired and small. The bathroom was good but there was no hairdryer which had to be obtained from reception. The bed would be a little low for some people Internet access was patchy
