Pros: The staff less the manager was great. I can't say enough good things about the attentiveness of the staff we interacted with. When we arrived, there was a bunch of people waiting for their cars, but we were still greeted and acknowledged.
Cons: For the start rating, and the cost of this place, I was disappointed with the first room. We walked in and there was water every where, the floor was wet. The second room they gave us, was nice, but it had old worn out scratched up furniture.

Cons: I did not get what I paid for and the fact the hotel ask you prior to coming what needs do you have and I told them and showed them the room style and they did have it available but failed to meet my needs. Also we had to run from homeless people

Cons: Retrieving the car from valet always took too long. For example, the 1st time, we called ahead. The car was present and we said so but we had to wait 15 minutes for them to realize it was. The 2nd time was just disorder and we again were late to an event.

Cons: I didn’t like how I was treated by the young lady at the front desk when I was checking my elderly handicapped 82 year old mother in. The handicap accessible room wasn’t designed for a handicap or elderly person. The wheelchair couldn’t fit past the bathroom door. I was charged more money for the handicap accessible room and wasn’t told the room would be more money. I found out the room was more after I received my statement by email. The concierge that checked us out could have mentioned it but didn’t. This was such a disappointment on how we treat the elderly.

Cons: The staff was incredibly rude at check in. It took over an hour to get checked in and it was already 1 in the morning when I got there. I had my boyfriend's name on the reservation so he could check in, in my absence, but he didn't get there before I did. So they said I needed to change it to have my name and even after I did that they would not let me check in. I was on the phone with a booking.com customer service representative for 30 minutes and even they were perplexed at why they would not give me my room. After the booking.com rep finally got connected with the hotel staff they came out and said nothing just threw the keys at me and said "the elevator is over there." While I was still on the phone with the customer service representative. He had thought they were going to cancel my reservation and charge me a walk in price and was confused when I told him they gave me a room key.

Cons: The room was fairly small and due to it's nature of being in the corner where the building bends back in, there was a point where the desk and the bed were very close leaving a very narrow walk way (say about a foot or less). The small refrigerator in the room made quite a bit of noise at night. Little to no where to hang towels in bathroom. Also, the ice machine on the 7th floor was out of commission.

Cons: Laziness in the staff. No one wanted to clean our room/bathroom. We had to switch rooms due to hair being everywhere in the shower, sink and bed sheets that did not belong to us. The second room blew out cold air, had to have maintenance come by to fix heat. We stayed several days and not once did someone come by to clean our room. On one day 1 staff member came by the room and said she was only there to check if we had bottled water, another from housekeeping said she only came by to drop off towels not clean.. no one else stopped by so nothing was cleaned in our room ever. I will never stay at the Ellis hotel again.

Cons: It is an old motor inn (Motel). It has been updated so it was clean. Had been promised a 3 pm check in but when we arrived, we were told the room wasn’t available ( it was about 3:15). Hadnt even asked my name! Waited in the lobby with others, and within 20 minutes or so, magically several rooms became available and everyone had to line up to check in. Won’t using booking.com again. Advertised that there were no cancellation fees. However, they don’t tell you that the hotel can and will charge cancellation fees.

Pros: The breakfast was fabulous and the lady that made it and staffed it was so kind and friendly. we couldn't have asked for more. The whole staff was outstanding! The location was great for the Atlanta Mart.
Cons: It was hard to regulate the temperature of the room. It was either very warm or very cool.

Cons: The water kept running in the bathroom and they wouldn't fix it. They charged my card twice and they refuse to send me a receipt or refund my money. I'm very upset and angry with this hotel.

Cons: No hot water. Had to leave to take showers at friends houses. Ended up only staying 2 of the 3 nights. Hallways smelled like cigarettes and marijuana. Long line to check in because everyone had to check in at 4pm (NO EXCEPTIONS). I waited in line for 45 minutes and when i finally got to the front had to wait an additional 30 minutes because my "room type" was not ready. Several other guests were complaining about toilets overflowing with "bodily waste". Took 2 days for the "engineer" to check on my water being cold. There was about a 2.5 inch gap under my door. Just didn't feel safe knowing that someone could easily see under my door. The front desk never answers the phone.

Cons: Everything could have been better. For starters, we arrive at 3:20pm and was told we couldn't check in until 4. At which time there were at least 30 people in the lobby attempting to check in as well. There were no key card jackets so our room key was wrapped in a torn off piece of paper. There were only 2 employees at the front desk. One of which went on break or what have you while there were still 30+ people waiting to check in. There were 4 elevators, only 2 worked and there were no signs to let you know that. Only one gate was operable that led you to the parking area. So there was a line waiting to get in. There was no blanket on one of our beds...only 2 sheets. The floors hadn't been swept or mopped. There were no housekeepers in sight the entire weekend. We stayed Friday-Sunday. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom. We never received any type of janitorial service so getting extra linen was out of the question. I had to shower using a hand towel as a washcloth and another hand towel as a bath towel. The lampshades weren't screwed onto the lamps so they were just hanging on the lamp which is a fire hazard. A few of the power outlets had been painted over as well. A microwave wasn't even in the room. I wasn't given a receipt at check in and almost had to argue to get one at check out.

Cons: Our room was never serviced by housekeeping all four days we stayed. We had to go to front desk to get towels. Check in took almost 3 hours. Shuttle to the Mart didn’t run the first couple days. Restaurant in hotel didn’t have a menu just a makeshift buffet and closed by 9 pm each night even Fri when we didn’t get out of the exhibit downtown until 8:30 pm. Coffee maker in room was broken. 2 elevators were not working so waited 10-20 mins sometimes to get elevator down. Couldn’t figure out how to take the stairs from 3rd floor which made me nervous for my safety. Someone said they thought stairs went up to floor two then stopped.
