Pros: The house has an impressive garden which was lovely to look out over during breakfast. Had we been there longer/ the weather had been better we would have certainly made more of it. Stayed in the en-suite double room which was extremely comfortable and impeccably clean. Lovely area for walking, some very picturesque villages nearby. Breakfast was very good, the hosts are extremely friendly and respectful.
Cons: Room on the small side. Shower was clean and new but not very powerful

Pros: Comfy bed and cool rustic vibe.
Cons: Ill-fitting doors to bathroom were not very private. Restaurant closed early at 8pm.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The location was very good.
Cons: It wasn’t very clean, had to speak with staff to clean the room as there was dust on the floors, skirting board and bathroom floor. It looked like it had not been cleaned properly for a while. Radiator needed bleeding as the room was cold. Requested the radiator be bled, or if we could have a bleeding key to do it ourselves, but this was not followed through. Toilet was against a sloping mansard ceiling which meant you couldn’t use the toilet without hitting your head! This was our 3rd stay and the standards have slipped, unfortunately we were disappointed this time. We did speak to staff about the cleanliness of the room, somebody did come and gave it a dusting, we were offered a free drink in the bar as a good Will gesture. We have stayed on the first floor before and not had any issues, looks like you are better off on the lower floors. Booked this at the beginning of November so not sure how the allocations work, but it was certainly not last minute!! Unfortunately overheard another guest complaining about their room being dusty too, I hope our experience was a one off as it’s usually a very nice place to stay. Maybe we can put it down to being very busy over Christmas time and standards will improve in line with the usual experience.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly great location
Cons: Bathroom quite outdated the shower was fixed to the Waldo you couldn’t reach certain bits you need to wash really weird never seen that before!!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The bar area, food, staff and atmosphere are all excellent. Staff especially are a delight. Nice touches like a little flask of fresh milk left in the room. Obviously the location of The Swan is perfect too and parking behind the pub/hotel is very reasonable at £7 for 24 hours.
Cons: In room 4, the noise from the kitchen extractor system, which runs up the outside wall between the room's two windows, was ridiculous, to be honest. I believe the hotel was full so it seemed pointless mentioning it but whilst £80 for B&B is not unreasonable at all, it's enough to expect a quiet room. Granted, it goes off eventually (about 11:30pm I think, but some other equipment periodically comes on and buzzes away for 20 minutes at a time. Also, there was an unpleasant aroma from the bathroom, like a drain smell or something, that seemed to build up when the bathroom door was left closed. This was reported to the manager as we checked out so will hopefully be resolved.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely room which was warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was beautifully cooked and well presented. We will definitely be back!

Pros: Loved the location of this property to have woodland and coastal walks so close by is perfect! The actual property is beautiful and unique with its lovely cosy lounges along little passageways with the use of a few boards games and real fires scattered throughout! Service & food was fantastic and generally a truly wonderful weekend treat for our wedding anniversary albeit very expensive ;-) Spa was lovely, treatments were good and particularly loved the use of an outdoor heated pool and hot tub!
Cons: Treatment was lovely but could have been amazing if a bit firmer.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Its uniqueness.
Cons: Nothing it was all a delight.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, couldn’t fault it. The pool was big, great for a post-dinner swim and pool facilities adequate. Staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. The breakfast was nice too.
Cons: The sofa in our room, which was actually a sofa bed, was extremely uncomfortable. The cushions sinked as soon as I sat down and all I could feel was the wooden structure of the sofa which wasn’t comfortable.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, location
Cons: Tiny gym not really a gym and too hot in there. Needed mats and dumbells instead of one of the machines.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very warm and inviting atmosphere, pleasant and attentive staff. Pool and sauna area clean and open whenever we wanted to use it.
Cons: Room was a bit hot - we couldn’t find a temperature control but admittedly didn’t ask the staff to adjust.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old country hotel, the room was tastefully decorated. I used the indoor pool which was great.
Cons: Access to the room was a bit tight - older folk might find it difficult humping a case up stairs! But then if us an old building.

Pros: Terrific place to stay close to Arundel with our small dog. A lovely clean, spacious and comfy room on the ground floor with easy access to the grounds. The hotel was quiet (it was January!) but the staff were all friendly and helpful - and the restaurant delivered a really good evening meal - refreshing not to have a 'chips with everything' choice. The breakfast was also first class the next morning. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The £20 fee for our small dog to stay one night was the most we have ever been charged - but I understand the charge is per stay rather than per night. If that's the case, it won't stop us coming back.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: very comfortable room and staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: vegetarian options on restaurant menu could have been better.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic bed - great duvet - really comfortable
Cons: It was all good
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good staff comfy beds clean great breakfast evening meal
Cons: Shower curtain should be replaced for glass screen
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good choice of hot breakfast dishes including fish, american breakfast & eggs benedict. Food in the bar was on the pricy side but WELL worth it, expertly cooked & delicious. Ambience very cosy. Staff were excellent especially the bar manager. Comfortable, clean & accessible ground floor bedroom and plenty of safe parking. Thoroughly enjoyable stay, we will be back & highly recommend the White Swan.
Cons: Only one thing!.....The (large & very comfy) bed was on castors and slid about so we had to wedge it at the bottom with a chair!..........Everything else was superb!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was really good - a choice of full English or continental. The selection of both was excellent. The location was good. Although it is on the main road there was no noise at all in the bedroom, even with the window open.
Cons: Unfortunately the television wasn't working but as I was out most of the time, it didn't matter. I'm sure the staff would have fixed it if I'd asked. They were really helpful and friendly.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great Location , Comfy surroundings and a very good breakfast
Cons: Restaurant prices expensive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were very friendly and helpful . Very good breakfasts and dinner menu.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Superb old inn, fantastic staff, lovely big room and the breakfast was delicious and very good value for money.
Cons: The only thing I could complain about was the shower .We were on the top floor and the water pressure was non existent and it was like taking a shower in a summer mist.

Pros: -
Cons: Old, shabby, water stains, staff not interested, had to pay 25£ extra for a 7 pounds dog that doesn‘t molt for one night (most we ever paid), although room was dirty and very old, no service, staff told us the way to a pub that wasn‘t open, said we could walk (in winter), was dark, cold and had to walk 20 minutes through a dark wood at night, no streetlamps, then... pub closed, shouldn‘t a hilton staff member know such things or check for guests before, nothing else close by, didn‘t even ask us if we wanted breakfast (probably because of dog), got a veeery long list when checked in what dog is NOT allowed to do and a sign for our door that a dog was inside to warn others- ridiculous. We never felt less welcome in a Hotel!!!

Pros: Location of hotel excellent for getting around resort. Food very good Decoration very tired looking but clean. Noticed planning permission for expansion would hope that this included full restoration of rest of hotel.
Cons: Motion sensors on stairs to long a delay you were half way up the stairs before lights came on and it was quite dark in stair well. Hotel needs it's own car parking spaces as you had to park quite away, away and if you had someone on crutches(as we did) dragging luggage was quite arduous.
