Pros: The staff, the facilities, the location, all the details in the room
Cons: Can't think of anything
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loads ... great location and facility
Cons: We had paid in advance but at check out the lady was asking for us to pay again until we let her know
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The location, the ambience, the rooms and the food were all great. We were all comfortable and enjoyed the stay, the only complaint (if a true complaint at all) is the service speed. We would sometimes order drinks and would not get it till 15 - 20 minutes afterwards. After that, we would rarely see the waiter.
Cons: Service speed needs a boost. While not horrible to ruin our experience, it could've made it so much better and pleasant.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Bed super comfortable and good facilities
Cons: My room didn’t have shampoo, conditioner only body lotion, we asked for one queen bed and they give me a double bedroom with no chance to change I hope they could give me at least a late check out but they didn’t...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room. Very spacious. Away from noise.
Cons: Had some trouble finding the parking lot. While driving to the hotel
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Heated pool, great facilities, very helpful staff
Cons: They keep macaws in small cages, and I'm not sure how healthy these macaws are. Macaws live up to 70-90 years, and have to suffer in captivity for the amusement of tourists. Please move them to a rehabilitation center such as ARCAS, and please donate to that center to make their life better.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely professional hotel by any standard but especially in Guatemala. A well-oiled machine, and very family friendly, with a kid-friendly pool, playground, kid's club, cribs available, even kid-only toiletries! It was also very quiet. This was a welcome respite from more difficult travel around Guatemalal.
Cons: The restaurant has a nice enough menu but execution was spotty at best. Our breakfasts were poor, and the drinks need a lot of improvement, from smoothies (so gross!) to some of their "signature cocktails". Also, given how kid friendly they are, the Kids' menu was very lame and all options had meat (our kids won't eat meat). How hard would it be to have a quesadilla or bean and cheese taco option, or a pasta? They also would not make a kid's size or style pasta for our son despite having a bunch of pastas on the normal menu.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I would absolutely go back again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location great facilities in a lovely setting. Spacious rooms with a very comfortable bed

6,5 Good
Pros: Nice rooms. Pretty grounds.
Cons: Eerie music playing. Have to pay for wifi
7,5 Good
Pros: beautiful place
Cons: food tastes weird ..not a good way. no coffee machine nor a tea pot in a room. the ways you can get yourself a cup of coffee or a tea is going outside or sitting in a crowd restaurant the view from my window was almost naked butts near tiny swimming pool that was not pleasant either a couple of guards at museum inside this hotel kept asking me show tickets and other stuffs if me and my kids were criminals
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Good kind people
Cons: Had a guest bang on my door and asked me to change my room. I had a do not disturb sign on door . I was personally disappointed....I was at hotel to escape a loss and to bring Christmas to the children at a local village small church...and completely shocked someone would knock so hard on my door after trying to enter...but call down stairs and staff was helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant stay, a hotel with a lot of charm. Possibility to visit the ruins in the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were perfect, very smiling. The spa is also to be tested.
Cons: Nothing !!! Breakfast, a little expensive and very European.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Repeat visitor! Loved my stay again
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere, Cozy room overlooking the pools, music, rose pedal in all of the ponds, banquet in the ruins of an ancient monastery, excellent food, outdoor sculpture garden high on a hillside, lush greenery everywhere, parrots on perches at the pools.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Hotel seems beautiful on the website.
Cons: Rude checkin staff, rude restaurant staff, dirty pool, dirty bathroom, high creditcard block as jf they don’t trust you, water in the room for 5 USD. The things above would not be much of a problem, but the staff just made it an unpleasant and unwelcoming stay. They have some sort of arrogance over themselves since they are a five star hotel, but the level of service was the worst we have ever encountered at a hotel ever. Do not spend your money here, trust us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A very unique experience, excellent service, amazing goof, the most beautiful setting for a relax stay.
Cons: I Maybe better beds

9,2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast, good beds and linens, hot water, nice and helpful staff and pretty gardens. Also ample on site parking.
Cons: I found it a bit further from the center of Antigua than places I have stayed in the past. For me it was unfortunate and not a problem for the hotel but there was a local family with young child who cried late at night and was very active early, this worsened as the noise seemed to travel easily to my room. I stayed in what is known as a suite with private patio. It did have a small patio but did not see much of a difference from the standard doubles.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful garden, breakfast included was very good. Room design and comfort level was very good. Quiet neighborhood! Didn’t use the tv at all but it was an old box tv. They had board games for us and brought candles and wine glasses when we bought one of the bottles of wine they sell at the desk.
Cons: I thought the breakfast was included but ended up paying a bit extra at checkout. Still worth it but not as outstanding of a value for price. Not in the hustle and bustle of downtown if that’s important to you.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Well maintain, safe and beautiful facility.

6,0 Good
Pros: Excellent location, 2 blocks from Central Park. Beautiful hotel, one of the oldest in Antigua. Very spacious rooms with a great shower. Friendly, accommodating staff.
Cons: Beds were very hard and pillows were harder than we like for comfort. Continental breakfast was included but there was no protein included. We didn't find out that they had a menu to order from until our last morning as no one bothered to mention that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big room, comfy bed, beautiful courtyard garden and helpful staff. The location is perfect, close to everything! Would come back
Cons: Can be noisy if your in a room closer to the road but didn’t bother us
7,1 Good
Pros: The hotel is located in the middle of the city but you don’t imagine that because of the tranquillity inside the property and rooms. Staff is extremely kind and supportive. The decoration is great and very clean.
Cons: Unfortunately, we had bad luck with our room. Indeed, the 3 beds room number 6 had a lot a things to improve. Nevertheless, our friends stayed in other room and it was great. Definitely, don’t include breakfast in your rate if it is possible.
6,8 Good
Pros: Rooms and courtyard.
Cons: Very nice property in a great location. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Hotel was busy with some kind of school during a couple days and evening. Classes in courtyard and parking area. Not a big deal, but it did change the atmosphere.

Located 4 blocks south from La Antigua Guatemala Central Plaza, 45 kms. From La Aurora Int. Airport. 10,0 Excellent
Pros: Casa Encantada is a true gem - and I highly recommend it when visiting Antigua. Immediately upon entering the secured courtyard, you are transported to another place and a genteel era. The staff were AMAZING (Melvin at the front desk was EVERYTHING a concierge should be and more!!) My daughter and I had breakfast on the rooftop terrace each morning (wonderful views of the volcano and the mountainside) for about $15 USD for both of us, including coffee. Try the "Chapin" breakfast - it's "typical Guatemalan" and delicious!
Cons: The rooms in the back of the hotel are MUCH quieter than in the front. We stayed in room #10 on the second floor.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very charming. Small and personal. Helpful staff. Comfortable 4 poster bed with lovely linens, nice bathroom toiletries. Fridge in room. Wonderful breakfast on the roof. Added bonus is being able to use the pool/grounds and gym at the hotel across the street.
Cons: Windows need screens or else rooms (which have overhead fans) need A/C. Rooms hot without opening windows and we got lots of mosquito bites. Rooms on the small side--earplugs helpful for #2 which is on street side and noisy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and cooperative staff Perfect and well equipped room
Cons: None
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint, quiet and very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and warm. The adjacent Porta Hotel Antigua is open for a beautiful and free buffet breakfast each day. Sunday’s buffet extra awesome. The pool & gym at Porta also open to Casa Encantada guests. Great value for the money.
Cons: Rooms are a bit small and a little damp but not too bad.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the entrance to our room. Eating on the roof top for breakfast. Service was excellent!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful, in a Spanish-style hacienda, beautiful small garden. The room was small but was very clean, comfortable and with pampering small things. The room (no. 1) was quiet. Breakfast was great. You can also have it in the chain's other hotel which is nearby (with bigger selection of buffet). The service was very good. Most of the hotel's team knew English. Intimate feel and atmosphere.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfull breakfast and very welcoming and helpfull staff! Calm and relaxing place.

Pros: Meson de Maria is a fabulous hotel - carefully decorated and designed, clean and comfortable, and centrally located. The breakfast was included and very delicious. We only stayed one night and wished we’d stayed longer to have more time at the hotel!
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: I liked that the hotel was well located in La Antigua. The staff was friendly. They had a good supply of Hibiscus juice.
Cons: The room was really dusty and felt unclean. The dust caused my allergies to act up and I had sinus issues my entire stay there. When I left and went to stay at the Lake, magically all my sinus problems cleared and I was not sneezing incessantly. My friend with whom I was travelling also had difficulty sleeping due to allergies from the dust / her throat feeling like it was closing up. The room was dark and small and right on the courtyard so we heard all the noises from other guest and we had a feeling of a general lack of privacy. The hot water in our shower worked sometimes. The Wifi was atrocious. The breakfast - they tried.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property location is unbeatable, very well located to move all around Antigua at every hour, you have the Arch at one minute walk and the central park at two minutes walk The service and people attention is also another highlight. We felt really good and enjoy everything Breakfast is really tasty, frijoles volteados were the best I have tried so far and also you will find a coffee and chocolate beverage during afternoon and water and saborized water during day. And the cherry on top is the terrace view. You will see the volcanoes from there and Fuego doing its stuff. Take your binoculars!
Cons: Hot water in bedroom was sometimes not available and wifi is a bit unstable. But those were small details that were also taken care from the staff
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, beautiful and comfy rooms, attentive and friendly staff, good breakfast and a stunning view from the rooftop terrace.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: I like the vintage style and the good service offered.
Cons: It was too hot inside the room, so, it would be perfect if the rooms had an A/C or a fan.

Pros: An utterly stunning atrium. The staff was amazing and helpful.
Cons: AC machine was loud and our 1 and a half year old could reach all light switches. Nothing significant but it was there.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, rooms were nice and service was the best we had in our trip. We left early in the morning and they prepared breakfast to go (Awsome) and they also had a smile every time we came back each day . We stayed a total of 3 nights and 4 days. They even stored our bags for us .
Cons: There was really nothing we disliked.

Pros: Comfortable room, very clean, with all you need in it. Lovely terrace with a beautiful jungle type garden. Breakfast minimal, but ok. Location 10 minutes walking to city center.
Cons: Even they have free rooms, they didn't make the check-in when arrive earlier (3 hours before 3PM). In one of the days we came back to hotel around 13.30, we found the door closed and one note in Spanish. After we ring at all the entrances 15 minutes the security guy appear and let us in.

Cons: Check-in takes some time; however not bothersome. Additional services (eg airport shuttle) really expensive.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A chilled oasis in Antigua, amazing food and lovely staff. We loved our stay especially as we were decompressing post-Dec and wanted somewhere lovely and relaxing with charm and character.
Cons: It’s quiet calm atmosphere was perfect for us, but if you want to be more central and in the action then there are probably other places more suitable. I honestly loved everything about it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Service was exceptional! Loved the attention to detail and the ambiance. Elegant, romantic, modern, and luxurious. Me and my boyfriend loved everything about it!
Cons: I didn't stay long enough. we booked only one night and i wished i had booked 2 or 3. They had already sold out.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms.
Cons: Small swimming pool.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: GREAT location in Antigua, a gorgeous and enchanting little city. Hotel Covento is a lovely boutique hotel with great accommodations and in great walking distance from many of the local attractions. The room and bathroom were spacious with a wonderful cozy fireplace. I would say in comparison to other hotels, it was on the pricer side, so if you are looking for a quiet, intimate hotel - this is for you but otherwise, despite the good service from individuals, it sometimes felt a little lacking in warmth and experience and leaves you with a 4-star feeling.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Customer service and personalization was amazing based on my previous requests.
Cons: Charging still water in the restaurant
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast à la carte (no buffet).,included in the price of the room. We had a wonderful room on the first floor with a large terrace and a canopy to relax and linger, just fabulous.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place to stay, room was very big. Staff very helpful and nice.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hands down, the best hotel I have ever visited. The space is breathtaking. And the light incense and music softly playing throughout the grounds adds to the dreamy atmosphere. We had an amazing time and will remember the amazing staff forever.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer!

Pros: So many good things to say about this hotel! Great location, super friendly staff, decent sized rooms/bathrooms and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Room was a little warm at night - could do with A/C
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff is really nice.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location and spacious room. Free breakfast
Cons: Not much privacy. Windows opened to stairwell with people.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the service and how kind everyone was, AT ALL TIMES. Everyone was very helpful and happy and gentle. I left with a feeling of warmth. I also liked the overall look and feel of the hotel. It's a very well kept colonial house. Breakfast was good as well
Cons: The things I didn't like are totally subjective and was information I could've known beforehand. The location and the lack of AC. It's not that it's far from the fun places, it's that the area is dark and close to a main road so it has a weird vibe.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The owner is extraordinary and goes the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable. The breakfast is excellent and they go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The building is very secure and we felt safe, and the location is in a great part of town, away (but walking distance) to the main tourist centre in a more low-key area with several excellent restaurants to choose from just a short walk away.
Cons: No a/c. It can get a bit noisy when busy as it is an original building.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, very clean and spacious rooms, good location, good breakfast (fresh fruit , pancakes, yoghurt, eggs, coffee, tee ,... ) 100% recommend.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent

Cons: I can't think of any aspect of the place that wasn't near perfect.

Cons: N/a
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very confortable and the staff is very kind. Once we got it in we found a very well maintained, clean house. The staff helped us with our questions. Breakfast is good. They provided us with food boxes when we left very early in the morning. The hotel is well located: far from city center so that you skip annoying noises. It is strategically well located from the main city market, where we had our lunch everyday with affordable price. We spent 5 relaxed nights in this hotel. The king size bed was very good. Thank you Julia for all the attentions.
Cons: Everything was good.

Pros: Beautiful grounds and location, excellent breakfast. Put room was lovely. The staff was very helpful in arranging out trip to make attiltan. Excellent value for the price.
Cons: The shower worked but unfortunately the tub appeared to be decorative.

Pros: Staff is wonderful. Quiet place. Rooms are great.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had stayed here in the past, perhaps 7 years previously. It has not changed. Large comfortable rooms and most importantly incredible, friendly and helpful staff who go beyond what is expected. Breakfast was tipico - and delicious: eggs to order.
Cons: The only "negative" would be the in-line parking, which in reality was not a bother. Nothing to do to change that....
9,5 Excellent
Pros: A well preserved colonial house with 9 rooms. My room was large with also a large bathroom. The shower was awesome.
Cons: Parking for six cars inside the facility requires one makes a reservation. A dresser in the room would have been helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a gem in Antigua. Rooms are big and comfortable. And the garden is so beautiful and romantic. If you decide to stay here just try to get a room that is not facing the street , otherwise it’s a little paradise in Antigua
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful inside gardens / rooms, great value and location close to the main square But the highlight was Andrea, the receptionist, who couldn’t have been more charming and helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds and rooms
Cons: Needs air or fan

Pros: The property is sooo clean and beautiful with a rooftop with an amazing view. The staff was amazing they make you feel at home and are always available to assist with anything at any time. The area where is located is so safe you can walk around anywhere in Antigua and not have to worry about your safety. The hotel staff also provides private transportation with drivers they trust we only used it twice for the airport and it’s very nice they arrive at the exact time you inform them. The breakfast was good too I recommend the candelaria breakfast. I never leave reviews but I was so happy this hotel I had to I highly recommend it.
Cons: Nothing negative to say
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I loved this hotel and it's a great deal. It's not right in the center of town so if you want somewhere you can pop in and out of while touring the central part of Antigua this might not be your place. But if you want a great night's sleep away from the noise of central Antigua, and a super friendly staff (who will actually drive you around!), and a decent breakfast and great wifi and a comfortable room in a beautiful setting then this is your spot!
Cons: loved it all!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with a short walk to the center of Antigua. The breakfast is generous and filling, with multiple selections to choose from. The shower is AMAZING.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and warm staff. It really felt like home and they made us feel like family!

Pros: Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great value and very clean. The staff was the greatest and could not be more helpful. The only consideration would be location. The hotel is away from the center so going back and forth might require transportation depending on the person's desire.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything. Friendly and attentive staff. Very clean, quiet great service.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay! Very good value for money! Simple breakfast and it would be nice to have a kettle for tea/coffee in the room, but thats just a small thing. I was staying in the suite and that has a little terrace which is great to get some morning sun with view of the volcano! The bed was massive and comfy, the television has Netflix and the wifi was decent. I liked the decoration and the design of the room too! It was beautiful! And the location is perfect! Go for coffee around the corner at Fernando's! Best coffee in Antigua:)
Cons: Kettle for coffee/tea in the room would be nice but not having it, did not influence my stay in any way!
5,8 Okay
Pros: the place itself was nice and the staff too.
Cons: breakfast is the same every day, did not like that. we had a room that was next to a property that had dogs barking all night, we could not sleep, we asked to be switiched to another room and they comply.

Cons: It was a bit too dark in the room even with all the lights on
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The building was charming with interior garden and decorative tiles. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Good breakfast too.
Cons: No issues
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very pretty. Regular rooms were about the same sizes as everywhere else in this town. The room my girlfriend and I booked, however, was very spacious. The staff at the hotel were amazing: friendly, polite, and helpful. The hotel itself has a beautiful inner garden with a fountain. There is coffee and tea 24/7 with tables in the courtyard both downstairs and upstairs. Also, the hotel is right next door to a really nice Guatemalan shop with handmade things and souvenirs. I would rate the hotel location as a plus because it is in a safe area but 3-4 blocks away from the center (and the noise of people, bars, and cars).
Cons: I was not happy with how noisy the hotel is. One can hear people talking outside their rooms. They are not particularly noisier than any other hotel I stayed in Antigua. The fountain helped dilute the noise during the day. Also, the washing machines were run from 7 am every day like a clock.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were lovely, shower had great water pressure, really good location just a short walk from the centre square (not too close so it's really quiet) - had a great time!
Cons: Room could sometimes be a bit stuffy. They had a little fan but didn't do much.
7,1 Good
Pros: It's a noisy place, you can hear all from the next room.
Cons: Noise

Pros: Very cute hotel. Seemed secure, because I had to knock to gain entry each time I left.
Cons: It was a little bit loud. There was a seating area outside of my room and people sat there talking until late. I could hear every word.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: They should give more breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful inside and out. Staff/employees were all very nice and accommodating. Was a wonderful stay.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very helpful, and rooms were clean and comfortable. The view and patio was so lovely.
Cons: Seemed a bit pricey
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was cozy. book a room on the second floor as the first one feels suffocating. Breakfast was delicious
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very good location to all key locations (e.i., markets, town gate, shopping and restaurants) Super Nice and professional staff.
Cons: None ( but would recommend to host to make access to roof longer than 10 pm for best viewing of stars/ town view at night)
6,7 Good
Pros: Great people working there, very friendly
Cons: Accommodation extremely basic, plumbing not good, shower more of a trickle, breakfast restrictive. First toilet broken!!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The location is the best of the this hotel, it close to any on Antigua city. The hotel is small but enough, the room is big.
Cons: The breakfast is bad quality, there is not orange juice or milk for the cofee. It is neccesary to disturb the receptionist to open the main door. In front of our room there was a living room where another guest sit and talk, that generated so much noise when you are trying to sleep.
