The checking process was chaotic with multiple security checks where there was no organized que. Main cabin seats are so small you can't extend your elbows to eat. When the person in front of me pushed their seat back, it knocked my wine cup over.
I had to fly standby to get home otherwise I’ll have to spend another whole day in Atlanta they scheduled me on a flight 24 hours later from the one that I originally was scheduled on only because Delta canceled the flight

The chicken curry in economy was ok. The rest of the experience was and continues to be a true nightmare. I was scheduled to take flight DL73 from Amsterdam to Atlanta, having purchased a Delta Premium Select seat - to try for a change, as I had most recently flown the same route in Delta One. However, KLM and agents dressed in Delta uniforms put me in wrong lines to check in and check my luggage, the KLM agent badge said “trainee” and they had me waiting 35 minutes before a more experienced agent came over and finally said “oh of course he is all clear, including the covid test document” and information that I also provided physically and on both the Delta app and the KLM app. The more senior KLM agent apologized and said that my bags would make flight DL73 and I would also make the flight so long as I ran to the gate. I did just this, and despite multiple other passengers being escorted in front of me through security and customs, I ran very fast and was at gate E22 in Schiphol at 11:15, well before the departure time of 11:40 (plane actually departed at 11:44), and certainly over 15 minutes prior to departure/door close - being there 25 minutes before departure. Nonetheless, the gate agent literally saw me and said “Mr. (my name), we just closed the gate.” I was shocked but the same agent said that I would have “no problem” getting on board DL75 at 1pm, including in a Delta Premium Select seat, for which I had paid along with being a Platinum frequent flyer. She told me to wipe the sweat off myself, take a deep breath and that “transfers” at Schiphol would handle and confirm this new flight and details for me. I then stood in a mile long line at gate T6, where KLM and Delta transfers were supposedly being processed. At the same time, I called Delta twice, each for about 35-45 minutes, and Delta said they could not help me, and to speak with KLM. This was also a rude surprise as Delta and KLM used to work together much more smoothly. It was also a lie as I later found out that the Delta Globalist team can help in this situation. An hour later, I made it through the transfers line only to be told that KLM could do nothing other than sell me an entirely new ticket! I then called Delta again, and finally a woman named Alexa (Alexis perhaps) - I think - finally listened to and reviewed my information. She deeply apologized and said that KLM simply listed me as a “no show” which is infuriating and inaccurate. She apologized again and asked to speak jointly with someone at KLM (at Schiphol) because apparently no one at Schiphol actually works with or understands Delta even though these flights were operated by Delta and many individuals wore Delta uniforms. I have flown that route many times as well with no issues whatsoever, but this was a true disgrace for Delta and KLM. The Delta globalist team / Alexa asked to speak to the KLM gate agent. Thus as it was then 12:30pm, I had to run to gate E24 to continue trying to get on board the 1pm flight and put the Delta team in touch with a KLM agent. Finally, at gate E24, the same gate agent from the earlier flight (DL73/gate E22) said, “Mr. (my name), I think your bags are waiting by the plane but I don’t think I can get you or them on this flight either.” I was shocked again, but Alexa and I spoke via speaker phone on my cell phone with the gate agent and a team of 4-5 others that appeared to be with KLM or Delta at the gate based on their uniforms. They finally somehow managed to get me on board, but refused to seat me in the open Delta One seat or the four open Delta Premium Select seats, instead placing me in economy, oddly which the Delta website and app still do not show, instead showing that both flights DL73 and DL75 are still in my itinerary. I am utterly disappointed, shocked and amazed at the level of poor treatment, not to mention why would Delta - and the FAA not have this information clarified in their systems? My luggage still shows as being at Schiphol airport, and my seat was far worse than the mediocre Premium Select seat for which I paid, as the flight attendant spilled cola on me and laughed with other passengers around me about Delta platinum and Diamond status for some reason, apparently unaware that I am a platinum flyer. My Delta app and the website continue to show both flights (from yesterday) in my itinerary as if I am somehow going to fly one of those flights now(?), which is even more confusing. It also clearly shows that despite being Delta Premium Select, a seat for me was “not assigned,” which makes no sense. This was by far the worst experience I have had with Delta and my opinion of Delta went from almost 5 stars to about 1.5 stars due to these unfortunate and awful events.
I like that I got to my destination safely.

Cons: "Food was just a snack"
Pros: "Plane and staff was comfortable"
Cons: "Weather delays resulted in me being rebooked on a flight nearly 6 hours later, even though there was a connection within 2 hours"
Pros: "Good movies and tv selection. Seat next to me was empty, so that was great."
Cons: "Toilets space are below standards"
Cons: "It was a 1.5 hour late leaving San Diego (6am flight), one of three bathrooms out, no coffee or tea (wtf?), we circled Atlanta for an hour, ran out of gas, landed in Pensacola, no information, missed the flight to DC ... And it's not even noon"

Pros: "Itwas fast and easy."
Cons: "Nothing. Everyrhing was good."
Pros: "Everything was fine other then seating assignment"
Cons: "I was traveling with wife but was not able to seat with her. I was stuck in the middle of 2 of the worlds biggest plus sized people. Armrest was a constant struggle. Willing to pay more next time to avoid hassle."
Cons: "Boarding was not smooth. They got me and my son mixed up as we have same name."
Cons: "Older plane and seemingly frustrated crew. They had very little patience."
Pros: "On flight entertainment has improved greatly. There are so many choices to keep you entertained. I forgot how long I was on the plane."
Cons: "Plane food was not good. The crew were not as friendly, almost exhausted. There was one woman who was not sensitive or compassionate to my fellow seat mate. He was an older man who needed extra assistance. From the look of her face she didn't feel like helping him... as simple as helping him pour ice into his cup. Instead I helped my fellow neighbor. She might not feel comfortable helping a senior citizen but don't be so loud or make a face of disgust."
Pros: "The boarding agents were especially helpful and friendly to my disabled wife, travelling in a wheelchair."
Cons: "The flight attendants were unfriendly and borderline rude. I felt like when I asked for anything or was just up stretching my legs that I was bothering them. There was also quite bit of turbulence in the first two hours- I have traveled a lot and I felt like it took the pilots too long to find a smoother altitude."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Seats too close. Food lacks salads. Fruit salad tasteless--fruit not ripe--looks good, but no taste."
Pros: "The crew was good and attentive"
Cons: "The management was horrible, if you already knew the pilot was working extensive hours you could have had another pilot on standby just in case... I'm sure it would have been a lot cheaper and less of an inconvenient for everyone on the flight..."

Cons: "no problems... a little late because of uncontrollable factor... WEATHER"
Pros: "Super friendly and attentive crew. Good food. Nice new seats. Great tv entertainment options!"

Pros: "Pleasant crew, newer plane, and very efficient travel time"
Cons: "The boarding process was extremely slow, "Comfort Plus" seats in the smaller regional jet were definitely not worth the upgrade."
Pros: "It was my first time to fly Air France. They exceeded my exceptions. The service was great and they made sure we were very comfortable. I will definitely fly Air France again."
Pros: "Entertainment offered, USB charging options."
Cons: "Too much food offered."
Cons: "Very rude flight attendant - unnecessary attitude"
Pros: "The customer service was great, the crew was great, the flight was great, everything was outstanding"
Cons: "There was no wifi"
Pros: "staff was very good."
Cons: "The flight was bought through Virgin Australia and without much notice, the flight was switched to Delta. The seats were amply smaller, amentities were not good (blankets and pillows). Food was terrible and was not as promised when the purchase was made through Virgin. Seats were so bad that my back and butt hurt after a couple hours. I would rather pay a couple hundred dollars more to have a quality flight experience."
Pros: "The Delta staff at the Marine terminal at La Guardia were fantastic and saved the staff that re-issued tickets at JFK."
Cons: "5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it."
Pros: "Drinks were passed out twice while everyone was waiting due to flight delay. There was one flight attendant that was awesome. I had asked for coffee due to migraine. I was stuck in the last row, back of the plane & had seen other people with coffee. The flight attendant told me no, I would have to wait for 3 more hours for coffee at breakfast. A smiling face showed up within minutes & asked if I wanted coffee. She told me that when she hears someone else say "no" that she thinks it should always be "yes". She was the African American flight attendant (wish I would have got her name). She brought me coffee, offered tylenol & checked in on me again later."
Cons: "Food wasn't very good. Most of the service was fair at best, crew, no smiles, looked irritable. Our flight had been delayed about 4-5 hrs so passengers & staff grumpy. Poor selections on the movies. No charging stations in the seat. This plane was very noisy so I was really glad to have noise cancelling headphones. Very expensive to select seats as it was bought through a non-Delta site to get the desired connections."
The boarding process in Newark was a complete disaster and total chaos. They had us board and then we didn’t leave for an hour and a half. Terrible.
Best best ever love it and would travel with this airline again
Not because the flight is going to Africa we can’t get better service on board
Cons: "Better snacks ...maybe nuts"
Pros: "The HBO shows on the screens were good for binge watching. The pilot seemed skilled and we arrived safely."
Cons: "Half the bathrooms on the plane didn’t work. A full working toilet system could have been better. The time delay was also unpleasant and could be improved. I think the crew was stressed by the situation as well because they were a bit short with the courtesy."
Pros: "The staff was impeccable. Boarding was great. My seat was not comfortable, but what can we say?"
Cons: "There was no entertainment on board. That was not cool. We had to download the app, but WiFi was not included."
Cons: "Cold air streaming from the storage bins."
Cons: "Seats are very close together and when someone reclines the lap tray is on your lap. Nothingnthe crew can do - since it comes from upper management"
Cons: "Food ran out and only one choice"
Pros: "Free movies and tv through the app."
Cons: "A charger port and free food and drinks in coach again!!!"
Pros: "I got an upgrade to economy plus for the first time in my life. The supper was good, the service was efficient and the staff was courteous, one of the best flight crews that I’ve had with United flights, and the extra leg room was a great welcome."
Cons: "The snack and breakfast were left to be desired. Upon arrival to destination, we had to wait for one hour and ten minutes for a gate to be available in spite of clear weather. I made my connecting flight just in time. Many other passengers missed their connecting flights. In this situation, it would have been appreciated if there were staff to direct us to help speed up the process, but most passengers with connecting flights were running around like headless chickens and loosing patience as we were left to fend for ourselves. Once again, United managed to drop the ball."
Pros: "The best thing about my flight was that it was really empty so I was able to change to a better seat. Everything was quick and easy."
Pros: "The flight, crew, etc, were fine."
Cons: "Somewhere in between MSP, ORD, and Madrid, our luggage was lost. After traveling for 18 hours, we needed and wanted our own things."
Cons: "no food, no entertainment, tiny squished seats"
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding process"
Cons: "The in flight United WiFi didn't keep a connection"
Pros: "Nothing about United is worth flying"
Cons: "We I had to pay 25$ to check my bags only to have my bag thrown around and my cologne bottle and headphones break so on top of paying to get my bag checked I need to spend more money on the items damaged"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Layover in Newark was too long and Newark is not a good airport for layover"
Pros: "The attention of the captain with the passengers and that we arrived 10 minutes before"
Pros: "fast comfortable flight thanks to an upgrade."
Pros: "Crew was very nice. Had a sick passenger on board and the flight attendant was outstanding with her and made sure she was ok every 20 mins. Do not remember her name but she was excellent in caring for the sick passenger."
Cons: "Having a delayed flight which made my brother and I miss our connecting flight in Houston which got us home 4 hours later than we were suppose to be."
Pros: "Everything went well, landed early, crew were helpful. Could ask for better."
Cons: "Nothing to say here."
Pros: "N/A due to them rerouting my itinerary."
Cons: "N/A due to them rerouting my itinerary."
Pros: "No issues"
Pros: "I left wallet on plane. And I didn't realize until After I left aurport While it has not been found yet, United reps really did everything to find. I Thank them for the effort"
Pros: "Cute nice attendant."
Cons: "Pretty sad their old planes are way more comfortable than their new ones. Overall flights to get home were much better than flights out of town. Overall though, hoping to never fly United again."
Pros: "Not much very bumpy"
Cons: "No food or drink due to turbulence, over 3 hours without"
Pros: "No issues with getting a seat or checking in like the cheap airlines."
Cons: "Same flight as the cheap airlines. New seats are not comfortable. Row 30 was brutal at 6'1". I'd rather deal with a shitty airline."
Pros: "Jet was small, so a little less comfortable. Friendly staff. I got a refill on my beverage before they collected trash."
Cons: "Having to wait 2 hrs for initial flight which made me miss all connecting flights"
Pros: "The Dreamliner is a very nice plane to fly on. Crew was friendly overall. Food was average. Entertainment was good. Blankets were too thin for a 14+ hour flight. I would fly this particular flight again though. Price was the best when I booked it."
Pros: "Lovely flight with an attentive crew and nice amenities"
Pros: "Entertainment was great. No problem with boarding/departure/baggage claim"
Cons: "Couldn't recline in exit row. No pillow. No foot rest"
Pros: "Flight attendant very personable."
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "United service is awful."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled!!!"
Cons: "My father is 89 and our whole family went to see him off. My husband, 3 children and myself. When I went to the ticket gate to check him in, the ladies did not issue a family pass to us. They said only 1 member of our family can go with him to wheel him to the gate. So my husband went since my father had 2 carry on luggage plus he wheeled my father. So the ladies were not very understanding. At that age I do hope he makes it back in 6 months for us all to see him again! We've been issued passes before and their only excuse was it was busy which it was not at all, no lines anywhere."
Pros: "It was on time."
Cons: "Bad crew attitude No entertainment Terrible baggage policy Poor snack options Absolutely no leg room Since Continental was taken over by United it's been going downhill but this flight was just awful. After living in the Newark, NJ area for over 20 years and flying with them as long, I'm awfully tired of them. I will consider other airport options for nonstop flights or do layovers bc I can't stand their overpriced seats and poor service."
Cons: "Less than friendly staff at the desk. The gate was changed on us and again no United app updates or texts until much later."
Pros: "Great flight both ways of my trip. We arrived 20 minutes ahead of time on the way back. The crew was very courteous and I had a great experience with United."
Pros: "the food & drinks kept coming and coming....it was great"
Cons: "-2 delays for 2 different reasons -Lisbon airport makes you leave the boarding area once you are all settled to recheck your passport & boarding pass. very strange"
Pros: "I love that you can fly direct to Pasco now. For years, one had to fly to Seattle and catch a puddle jumper. You're only in the air for about an hour and a half and Pasco has been slowly upgrading their airport. I love how easy it is to visit my family in the Tri-city area now."
Pros: "I liked the fact that I got to Dominican Republic on time."
Cons: "However the crew was horrible; there was no food provided. (Crackers j don't call food)."
Cons: "-Was a United flight despite being billed as Lufthansa, I always try and avoid United as I have had bad experiences in the past. -Was unable to choose seats online. -Upon check in was told that only middle seats were available for my partner and I away from each other even though we showed up 6 hours early in order to get good seats as we couldn't check in online. -We then paid extra to get seats next to each other (250 bucks) and the entertainment systems in those seats were broken. -When we told the flight attendant staff they said there was nothing they could do and were rude. -When trying to explain the situation to United Customer service they were also rude."
Pros: "it was very comfortable"
Pros: "We have a list a cookie on the fly"
Cons: "The see were too cloused"
Pros: "Everyone was friendly"
Cons: "Everything was fine"
Cons: "Flight delayed 3hrs because there was no crew."
