The seats were comfy and didn't have a ton of legroom but it wasn't bad. The staff we're friendly and helpful. The in-flight entertainment had a pretty impressive selection and had one of the best-designed interfaces I've seen so far (and I've ridden a variety of airlines). Last and most important, the food was hands down the BEST I've had on a plane. Turkish is killing it, they're my new go-to airline!"

I was made aware that a Visa is required while attempting to go through passport control. I had to leave the line I spent 30 minutes waiting in to go get a Visa for 25 Euros. I was never informed of this requirement by Kayak or Turkish Air. It was a very frustrating experience and an added expense for which I expect to be reimbursed."

Cons: "1) Since we had a long layover at Istanbul, the airline provides the option to take you to a free hotel to spend the night. I knew this information based on online reviews, but the airline itself never did anything to offer this, I had to walk around on the airport, for like 2 hours I could not find decent help and some instructions in broken English. I had to pay 25 Euros to get mi visa stamped and walk out of the airport. The Turkish Airlines attendant that set up the free hotel for us, walked us to a shuttle that would drive us to the hotel, but the shuttle driver got lost? or something happened that caused for him to drive around town for more than an hour, speaking on the phone loudly in Turkish and completely ignoring us when we asked questions, This got a little scary since we had no idea what was going on, at some point we were in the middle of a dark residential area, and listening to the driver yell on the phone (god knows what). Luckily a driver came over and guided us to the hotel, but seriously, they should be careful about who they hire for these kind of tasks. (I posted a video on instagram with footage of the guy driving us around in case my family needed to find me)."

Pros: "It was a 12 or 13 hour flight and except for sitting too much we were never uncomfortable. The service level made me think we were back in the 80's. Hot towels, attentive service, tons of food and free drinks. There was actually one meal that we would have eaten even if it wasn't on a plane. They gave out full size blankets and pretty fluffy pillows. (I bring our own anymore, because you never know if you will get one on most airlines, and if you do they're usually useless). Their entertainment system was amazing. We caught up on all the recently released movies that we've wanted to see for FREE! If only Netflix had this quality of movie offerings. They had fresh flowers in the huge bathrooms. It's that type of attention to detail you just really don't see anymore."

Cons: "The airline apparently switched us to an earlier flight however we had received NOT A SINGLE email telling us that our flight had been moved. We had continued to receive emails for our original flight which still existed. Have no idea why they would move us in the first place and not tell us. We had to go through the hassle of getting switched back to our earlier flight which took an additional hour of dealing with people. This mimics our experience flying from Dalaman to Istanbul when our flight was canceled and we received no notification. They told us it was too early to receive a notification (we were there 12 hours in advance). However, had we arrived within the suggested window and found out it was canceled we never would have been able to reschedule to a connecting flight that still got us to Madrid in time.When checking our bags, the clerk tried to tell us that a backpack and small purse were too big to count as personal items even though they had been fine on ALL of our previous flights. I pointed out that individuals in other lines had larger backpacks that were being counted and he finally acquiesced but with a lot of attitude. The plane was then an hour late. The sign for boarding continued to tell us it was on time up until 45 minutes AFTER we were supposed to have boarded when it finally updated and said 'delayed'. The crew stood around laughing and providing zero updates as we all worried about whether or not we would make our connecting flights. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL"

Initially I had a short layover—booked through Lufthansa I was worried about. Then My first flight got delayed, and continued getting delayed, and I was sure I was going to miss the next flight. That got delayed too though, so while I still ended up with a short layover it was enough for me to make it before boarding began. Then my second flight also kept getting delayed while my third one did not. The transition between my second and third flight was supposed to be my longest and a breeze, but when it was all said and done I had right about an hour to make it. It was a bit more stressful than I would have liked.

It’s simply called Halal otherwise then everyone else’s meals should be called Christian or Jewish meals etc. Also I requested help with transfer to my last flight which was horrendous because I’m one adult with 4 kids ages 1 to 11 and my eldest has sever learning disability. I nearly missed my flight because our flight landed late and I was struggling to keep my kids safe and together while running for the next flight. Somone should have been there to help with transfer."

Pros: "Flying from San Francisco to Madrid via Munich in economy class. All very good in general, in fact the best experience compared with other airlines I have used in the past for the same trip. Vegetarian meal was good, but only on the long leg. Munich to Madrid was not possible to choose the special meal, but that is not that important for me, so I eat what I could and that was good enough. The crew was super nice. The plane is huge, toilets are literally 'downstairs' and extra room to hang out. I will definitely choose Lufthansa again for my trips to Europe."

Cons: "There was an abusive passenger sitting behind me that kicked my chair the entire flight. They were angry that they didn't have more space and that I wanted to have my seat back. I offered to put it up during meal times to make sure they had enough space but that wasn't good enough. The crew knew what was happening and tried to get the other passenger to stop but the passenger persisted. The crew refused to upgrade me even though I had paid for an aisle seat and there were no other aisle seats available for me to move to. I find this service unacceptable. I probably won't be willing to fly BA again as they obviously care more about money than ensuring their customers are comfortable."

The Pilot said he would turn on the in-flight navigator but it never did work, so I'm not sure what happened there. No internet connection in their fleet yet either. But it's also 2017 and these features aren't "new"; I remember having in-flight entertainment back in the early 2000's on Delta flights in the US, so I'm not sure why it's taking more premium airlines so long to catch up."

We were in Spain on vacation which meant attempting to figure out how to get home with Iberia at the Madrid airport, who helped but was super agitated with us the entire time. When we asked for advice on how to proceed, as this has never happened to us before, they just kept telling us it was British Airways fault and that they had no answers for us. This took about two hours plus an additional hour back at the hotel to cancel our reservations in London and figure out how we were going to get reimbursed for the extra night at the hotel and additional costs. It would've been nice to get all of this information in an email, with the new ticket and instructions on how to claim the extra costs instead of us running around and taking time out of our vacation."

Pros: "the only somewhat helpful person was the customer service attendant that i called the day before i flew who tried his best to be helpful after the worst flying experiences i have ever had"
Cons: "the lack of anyone willing to assist me in the airport, over the phone, online. i was not able to check in had to call customer service several times because i was getting hung up on or told that nothing could be done to check me in, issue me boarding passes or just answer general questions. Went to the airport 3 hours prior for a transatlantic flight like recommended (6:45). The attendants showed up to the desk at 8, with no sign as to when they would show up even though the desk was getting called constantly starting at 7am. was told that in dublin we would have to check in to flight and we would be assigned seats then. even thought the attendant printed our boarding passes for the connecting flight but did not give them to us. When in dublin was told that we had already been checked in and we could have been assigned our seats in madrid by the connections desk. When talking to others on same flight they told us they were allowed to checkin into all flights and had no issues at the airport"
Pros: "Wonderful customer service and hot meal was a lovely treat!!"
Cons: "3 hours standing in British airways and Iberian airways ticket and checking counters to get alternative flights. They could not do the "entire change" and required that we wIt in line after line. Will be a full 24 hours until the entire trip is complete. Would have been nice to at least sit in the empty first class seats on the transatlantic flight with my party as a bit of customer service. Wondering how many hours other had to wait for alternative flights because they did not use the first class seats as an alternative."
Pros: "I thouht that the seats were comfortable. When we boarded the Madrid to London flight, we were surprised to find that the aisle seats that we had paid extra to book had been changed, and although my husband had an aisle seat, I did not. On the longer flight from London to Seattle , we did both have aisle seats, which was important to both of us. We get up more frequently than many people to use the bathroom."
Cons: "There were a couple of women who were very cold, and there were no crew members in economy class who could speak Spanish who could respond to them appropriately to them. The attendants just kept saying, sorry, I don't speak Spanish. This seemed very surprising to me, as the flight connected a Spanish- speaking country to London!"

Cons: "Never boarded the plane. Connecting flight got delayed by 2 hrs and 57 minutes leaving from Madrid. After 2 hours of hassle, Iberia airlines was able to put me on another flight from Madrid to London to NY."

Pros: "The BA staff was very courteous. I missed a connection and they put me on another flight."
Cons: "I didn't like how the itinerary only allowed for 1 hr at gatwick airport and I had to go through customs and security just to get from one terminal to another. I talked with one of the BA staff and they said that all of their operations are getting consolidated to one terminal so this shouldn't be a problem in the future."
Cons: "Non-stop from Madrid to Philadelphia was canceled apparently because of a computer problem and then I was rerouted through Amsterdam with an extremely short connectios which in turn meant that baggage did not make it and was opened and damaged !!! BA clearly at fault. BA Reservations agent suggested to enter a complaint"
Cons: "Because our flight was late arriving into London, it caused us to miss our connecting flight and needless to say, there was an overwhelming oh well attitude from the Brittash Airways workers. We should have arrived home at 6:50pm but because of all the delays we didn't arrive home until 2am and WITHOUT our luggage. I'm beyond frustrated and exhausted."

Cons: "The flight was late, so I was going to miss my connection. I do not appreciate having to wait three hours just to get a new route, and much less the Iberia staff working "on behalf" of British Airways, blaming BA, the system and what not, and being unable to answer straightforward questions such as, Can you give me the confirmation number for the last leg of the flight so I can get a boarding pass in the United Airlines app. Uncommonly ignorant (I speak Spanish as my native language, so that was not the barrier) and uncommonly rude."

Pros: "The plane had quite a bit of leg room, more than my flight from Denver to London. The movie selection was nice. Free wine and beer is always a plus. They gave a nice sized cup of coffee, but the coffee was terrible. The crew was nice."
Cons: "The head phone jack only allowed sound in one ear. The food wasn't great, and the expectations were low."

Cons: "El dia 27/marzo/16 volamos mi esposa, 4 hijos y yo de Madrid a Londres vuelo # 459, el cual llego tarde y perdimos la conexión del vuelo DIRECTO a San Diego # 273, nos mandaron vía Chicago y volvimos a perder la conexión a San Diego por pura lentitud del personal de British, teniendo que dormir en Chicago, nos dieron hospedaje y 100 dlls para cenar para 6 personas (gaste lo doble). Al día siguiente, estuve cerca de 90 minutos batallando para que me imprimieran los pases de abordar porque supuestamente British no había pagado los boletos a American Airlines. Les pido me recompensen con boletos redondos por todas estos inconvenientes. Saludos y gracias, Fernando Vizcarra"
Pros: "A REAL Iberian airlines STAR was Ms. CLARA BENCORO--the Iberia counter agent (gate H22 @ Barajas) who was ABSOLUTELY amazing in re-booking me from MAD>>LHR after the French air traffic controller strike had delayed this leg of my trip past the LHR>>SAN departure time. She was SO efficient & competent in changing me to an earlier flight to London which saved this trip by getting me there well before the scheduled 15:30 departure connection to SAN. Her knowledge of all the ONE World computer reservation system interfaces was amazing, as she spent almost 30 minutes rebooking me and ensuring my luggage would catch up. As my booking was through FinnAir she had to go through THREE systems (Finn Air / BA/ AA) to get me to London on time. PLEASE recognize her customer service !!!!!!"
