For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."

Interestingly, since all flight attendants were women, about 50% of the flight did listen to them since there were many conservative Arabs onboard from Qatar or Saudi Arabia (i.e., those who are taught not to listen to or respect women). This made for some frustrating sites to witness but it's obviously not the airline's fault. Poor women!"

However, the staff member told me that 'if' RwandAir found my luggage, I would be responsible for going to the airport as RwandAir does not have lost luggage delivery like most airlines. For the six days of my holiday, I waited for phone calls and checked emails expecting to hear from RwandAir. I heard nothing, RwandAir had made no effort of any kind to locate my luggage they had mishandled. Upon flying back home, I checked with the initial airport (DXB), the transit airport (Kigali), and my final destination airport (Brazzaville). My luggage was not in any of the airports mentioned. In each airport, and the RwandAir office at the Brazzaville airport, I presented the initial lost luggage form from the prior week and it was apparent that nobody, no airport, and no office was interested in finding my luggage. RwandAir, at no point, apologized for losing my belongings or in any way attempted to make up for seriously harming my holiday- not to mention the fact that it appears I will never see my possessions that were last seen being taken by RwandAir staff at the beginning of my holiday travels."

My friend was flying with me and she was told that her carry on, mind you had flown to and within europe, was too big for the overhead storage and she had to pay 90 euros to check it and the woman held her boarding pass and wouldn't give it to her. we waited in line at the service desk for over 40 minutes so that she could pay. We arrived to the airport 2.5 hours early to eat and shop for souvenirs. We barely made it in time to get to our gate because of the inefficiencies of Lufthansa. 1 person working a service desk for a large airport is unacceptable, especially when they are 8-10 waiting to scan your baggage and not helping out at all. I had a wonderful flight to Europe on Lufthansa and was absolutely appalled at the attitudes of the airport staff and their lack of customer service."

I was seated in a middle seat "J" (I believe) in row 37 or 39. The men were receiving from the stewardesses repeatedly two glasses at a time and kept going back to the galley and getting two glasses of wine at a time Although they were loud, congregating in the aisle around rows 37 and 39 they were not limited in what they could drink. The two on either side of me were disrespectful of my personal space and were very inappropriate. I got up and went to the galley behind my seat to ask the stewardesses to get me another seat. During this time the guys kept coming back to this galley for more wine still taking two at a time. The stewardesses explained that the plane was full. Others complained also. I then asked the stewardesses if since they were over serving these guys, would they trade one of their jump seats with me. At this point they cut the guys off and got the pursar. She talked to them and ignored my personal safety concerns and said no one gets on a plane drunk (yeah, right) and that they would now behave and were asleep. That's why they are still talking at the top of their lungs and standing in the aisle? I asked. I wish I had video recorded this, I did not as others with kids in the aisles across from me did. I hope their videos go viral Not impressed with Lufthansa"

The seats have a limited set of controls --no control for just moving the back or moving the seat forward. The worst part was when the seat was flat out. Your feet keep getting pushed deeper and deeper into a narrow hole. Once in there you aren't able to move them. You can't raise your knees. For a side sleeper you have to keep your feet from going into the hole as you put the seat flat out. The attendants were not friendly and did the minimum required. Also there weren't as many attendants as on other airlines. There was a large selection of movies but not many that I wanted to see."

The major problem was the ground crew in Maputo who didn't provide proper information on time. Furthermore after landing in JHB no protection to late passengers in transit was provided. When disembarking I approached a lady at the bottom of the stairs and she didn't have our names on the list so we were on our own trying to find our way through the endless cue at the transfers counter. His service was a godsend—enabling me to stay flight side whilst he went land side so I did not need to go through security for an unaccomplished mission as the glasses were not there."

We were told that they would not put us on another flight. By 8 am there was a mutiny because no one was keeping us informed about what was happening. We were tired and hungry and they just did care. After a group meeting, which got very angry, we were then allocated a room in a hotel. The lack of help was unbelievable and we were made to feel like criminals. No senior management came to give apologies. No compensation was offered for our 24 hour delay."

FYI vegetarians eat vegetables too and we like butter and cheese as well. Emigration should work out that two plane loads of people need more than three officials to check them ion arrival at ORT."

The crew said they would reboot (?) the program but that didn't happen. There was no apology for contracted feature not being available, I sure wish I could have watched movies as I am not able to sleep in general."

Im aware that dealing with people can be exhausting, especially if common sense isn't so common, but if you're in the hospitality industry, you have to serve past that. Also, the plane just felt gross. There was food on the floor and it felt like the experience could've been better. More attention paid to detail. If another airline alternative exists, Im definitely trying them before booking with Saa again."

When it says “dis-infection of Aircraft” means Passengers are not Aircraft. Passengers should not be sprayed on. Passengers should not be in the airplane when this is sprayed. 2. Use for Pre-embarkation means no human in the aircraft. We were inside of the aircraft. It sprayed on our body all over and everywhere. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Major health damages: 3. After the spray, several passengers (our travel group) had severe sneezing attacks and running nose and sinusitis. One lady sneezed at least 50 times non-stop initially and continued to sneeze for the rest of the trip in the plane. Her sinus was swollen and painful for the rest of trip to Johannesburg. You are lucky she did not make a big deal and suffered silently. You may argue that WHO approved it. On the bottle, WHO approve for the use of Aircraft, not human in the aircraft. On August 15, 2016, I witnessed many passengers’ immune system were damaged – some reacted violently. 4. Please do not wait until someone has asthma attack and die in your aircraft due to allergy to the spray. 5. As a physician I prescribe Permethrin for Scabies treatment. Patients were told to use it on the skin for 8-10 hours and then wash off complete right away due to potential neurotoxicity, especially for young children. 6. My medical specialty is Integrative Medicine and Preventive Medicine. I feel I am obligated to bring this up to Department of Health of South Africa in order to prevent passengers being harmed, especially those who suffer from chemical / environmental allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, COPD, skin disease, migraine, etc… just to name a few. 7. Suggestion and Solution: Passengers should all be off the plane, and escort to an area while aircraft is being re-fueled, cleaned and sprayed insides. This will make the cleaning crews more efficient for their cleaning work and less allergenic reactions, potential fatal, to passengers who suffer dust and / or insecticide spray allergies. This will reduce health hazard to passengers and workers. Thank you for being conscious about environmental safety issues. PS: One crew member, Imraan, is very conscientious. He came and showed his concern about symptoms one lady had from spray. He made SA airlines look better. One crew member was rude because he reluctant to give me one bottle of water for my husband who was sleeping at the time of the drink service. ."
