10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had two separate bookings and we requested that we do not be moved . The staff gave us a great room with a great view as an early celebration of my husbands 60th! Was awesome to get up to that Harbour view every morning !
Cons: There was nothing to not like
9,7 Excellent
Pros: By far the largest room I've had in Japan. The room was a little older but there wasn't anything wrong with it. It had a great view of Yokohama harbor and the Yokohama Bay Bridge. The staff was great and accommodating and even held onto my luggage before I checked in and after I checked out.
Cons: There wasn't anything wrong with this hotel. The original price for the room was to high in my opinion but it was just fine with the discount I got from the site.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to public transit with many restaurants nearby. Staff very helpful
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and location.
Cons: None.
6,0 Good
Pros: Lovely views, polite and courteous staff
Cons: Rooms are old and need to be renovated.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient to go to Yamashita Park, Motomachi, China town and so on. Clean and big room. Amenities are good but Shampoo, conditioner and body gel’s were in a tube with screw top. It’s not easy to use while you are showering. Put shampoo on your one palm, hard to screw the top to close. It won’t stand alone without top. Room temperature was too high (hot) tried to adjust the temperature but it didn’t work.. so off the air-cond. but it might be because of high-floor room. Warm air always goes higher place. Anyways, room was hot.. Other than that, clean and very nice hotel with long history.
Cons: Please refer to my main comment.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Well appointed room.
Cons: Buffet breakfast was pretty poor given the very expensive price.

Pros: Fantastic location directly above Shin-Yokohama train station. A great selection of restaurants and shops located in the same building.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were staying for RWC19. With games in Tokyo, Yokohama and Shizuoka. It was a great, well connected place to stay. Rooms were larger than was typical in Japan and comparatively good value.
Cons: A little soulless, but it is what it is. I’m being picky
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Easily accessible as in the station comfortable well equipped room
Cons: They didn’t have an England rugby shirt on display but lots of others ;-)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very good location. Nice and clean rooms, very friendly and competent reception personnel. Good hotel for visiting Shin-Yokohama and nearby locations (in my case the Nissan-Stadium).
Cons: The shower head is not exactly made for tall people (anyone taller than 180cm).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Right on top of Shin-Yokohama station. 20minutes walk from Nissan Stadium. Easy access to stores, restaurants, hai salon etc
Cons: We had two reservations and they made us check out and then check back in. We had to repack and unpack and leave the luggage with concierge.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent, staff friendly and liked that it had lounge access with WiFi and soft drinks available to work in.
Cons: Gym is very small and no weights
7,0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good, different than normal for the Japanese hotels.
Cons: Expected view of Mt Fuji from the hotel, but sadly was blocked by another building.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean with good facilities. The staff is very helpful and speaks English.
Cons: My room had two full size beds (or oversize singles) side by side. This made the room very crowded. There was very little space to the sides of the beds. The breakfast buffet has been changed from prior visits and didn't seem as bountiful.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel i snot in the main Yokohama area. But 02 stop away by metro. Underneath hotel is shopping complex, train, metro, lots of food, easy connect to other places. Ovwral prive value for 02 rooms is good compare to if we stayed in hotel at Yokohama main cbd area. Overall great value, varieties of food to use within the complex.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was lovely, clean and very accommodating. I found it very comfortable. I do not understand some of the mixed reviews I found on the website. I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: cost for meals was high, but that seems true of all Japan hotels. Many staff did not speak English, but they always found someone who did, if necessary
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable, excellent service.
Cons: The hotel could use a facelift, needed pairing, parts felt outdated.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and pristine, with a superb variety at the breakfast buffet. Our room was comfortable and modern with a panoramic view of the city and ferris wheel. Well situated within in short walking distance from local transport, adjacent to Queens shopping mall.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Window view of the Cosmo Clock 21 and the great location.
Cons: check-in time is too long....too many people are queuing.
7,1 Good
Pros: Location and size if the room.
Cons: The breakfast wasn’t worth the price charged!
7,0 Good
Pros: view and location
Cons: check in was long...line up as well as check out up to 20 minutes. breakfast offered horrible coffee!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: + Got a free upgrade to the "Intercontinental Suite", with amazing views of Minatomirai, the Yokohama Bay, and Bashamichi. + The staff also pro-rated my first night's stay since I checked in at 4am. + Hotel is very nice, quiet, and has fast+reliable WiFi! + Location is excellent: the Intercontinental is one of the landmark buildings in the modern Minatomirai neighborhood of Yokohama; it just across a pedestrian overpass to Minatomirai Station and Queens Mall + Landmark Tower and all of the rest of the surrounding attractions. + Easy access to Tokyo via Minatomirai Station (from where you can catch a train direct to many Tokyo neighborhoods or get anywhere with 1 transfer). (I would recommend using Hyperdia (http://www.hyperdia.com/en/) for looking up train directions.) + While I was checking out, a staff member came up to help me with my two large suitcases and spoke into his headset to have a cab waiting for me by the time we got down the escalator. + Many more instances such as this of subtle and excellent customer service are what really defined this stay for me. + Access to the airports is easy via Yokohama station where the Keikyū Airport Line will take you to Haneda in 30 min or the JR Narita Express will take you to Narita in 1.5 hrs. If you are traveling light, you can change trains at Yokohama to the Minatomirai line and take that to Minatomirai Station, which is a block from the Intercontinental. (If you have a lot of bags, as I did, you might find it easier to take a 10 min cab ride between Yokohama station and Minatomirai station.)
Cons: - No power outlets accessible by the beds, hard to get at by the desk. - No ethernet (wired) internet connection. - Shower head and beds a bit short (I am 6'/1.8m and they were just fine, I would say that anyone taller might need to bend their knees, but this size is also typical of hotels in Japan).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was courteous and able to easily assist us during our stay. Not much of a language barrier for English speaking guests. Hotel was safe during Typhoon Hagibis. Breakfast had a large variety.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building.. a land mark. Super location, easy to get to transit, and shopping, sites. Comfortable bed and large room for Japan. Staff and facilitirs excellent.

Pros: Items in the room were very new and clean. Softest toothbrush compared to the other 4 hotels I went. Helpful staff and speak good English.

We tried the breakfast and were very satisfied. Thank you to all the staff and management of Richmond Hotel who had made our stay in Yokohama very pleasant and comfortable.
Cons: The double bed was too small for 2 adults and a child as we did not manage to book a bigger room.

With a stay at Star Hotel Yokohama in Yokohama (Chinatown), you'll be steps from Tokyo Bay and Yokohama Marine Tower. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6,3 Good
Cons: Paper thin walls, fine if you want to know when you're neighbours flush their loo. None smoking room but smells of stale smoke. Room very small. Was fine for 2 nights but glad we weren't there longer for the price we paid. Good location though.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location. Nice view from room. Breakfast was nice too.
Cons: Little bit basic/dated.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We ate at the attached pancake/waffle cafe. We thoroughly enjoyed the treat.
Cons: Hotel was up to expectations.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for half a day in between getting off our cruise ship in the morning and our late night flight. Location was very central. A few blocks away from Chinatown, opposite the Yamashita park which I enjoyed very much and also opposite the MYK Hikawamaru ship. One block away from the Keikyu airport bus which the reception had the timetable for and was very helpful to show me how to get to the bus stop. Just 2 mins walk away was a McDonalds and a convenience store where I bought some sushi for dinner. The balcony had a view of the park and cruise centre. Had good sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom.
Cons: Room was small.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This is a perfect place to stay if you are coming/going to the Yokohama cruise port. Just a nice walk across the park to the terminal. Convenient to China Town and the mm Subway line.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The rooms are like visiting my great grandmother in the 70's, same furniture and smell. It is a 15 min walk from the cruise terminal so you can see your ship, sadly the lack of noise control in the rooms (door latches are loose so every sound from outside is easily heard, and this means every horn on the harbour is heard, It is popular with Americans as there is a McDonalds downstairs and a pancake parlour. There are many hotels that are closer to the cruise terminal around the same price without the 70's decor and old persons odours.
Cons: No one speaks any English, whenever you go to the front desk, they all point to a sign that says 2pm (check in time) tried to explain we just wanted to leave bags, eventually they got the drift. There are loud speakers in the park opposite and from early morning to evening you can hear her screaming to sell tickets for boat tours, forget sleeping in. The curtains are not blockout so if you like to wake up at 4am each day, this is the place for you. The beds squeak badly and are lumpy. The pillows are filled with hard plastic balls, like sleeping on marbles.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great view of the port from our balcony.
Cons: More hanging space.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Larger room then by other hotels in this area. Great breakfast. Nice interior.

Pros: Location was near Chinatown. There is Lawson right downstairs so easy for late night snacks or water
Cons: Not as near to the train and subway station as I would've liked but it is walkable
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the location was very good, close to train stations and bus services. The friendliness and helpfullness of the Japanese was absolutely wonderful.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to chinatown and the waterfront lots to see and do. Also very close to 2 train stations made it easy to get around the wider location.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location; clean property. Very courteous and attentive staff at front desk.
Cons: Staff was very courteous and helpful but provided wrong information about taxi fare to Yokohama port.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: My room wasn't big, but I was nonetheless pleasantly surprised by it, given what I paid. The hotel has some style, though my room was a little characterless, and had no view of anything interesting out the window. The room had a simple desk, which was useful to me. I needed to do laundry, and they had a simple in-house laundromat which was cheap and easy to use. Everything was spotlessly clean. Two subway station were within about a seven-minute walk. Reception staff were friendly and polite.
Cons: For one person, the room was fine. For two, though it had a double bed, it would have been a little cramped. And as I say, the room didn't have much character--pretty functional. But these are quibbles -- really, there wasn't anything to complain about. I would recommend it.

Pros: Location and access to transport very good
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, excellent staff.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: I liked the matress (it was so soft) and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The thash can had red liquid all over in it and I had arrived around 11 am and they said I would have to wait until 3 pm to enter my room so they could clean it.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The room was generous and the bed was very comfortable. I even overslept in the morning and my alarm clock had to wake me up, which is unusual as I usually wake up early without any prompting by my alarm. The room offered a nice view towards the City of Yokohama. An additional bonus was the very easy and close access to the train station.
Cons: The shower and the fitting for the shower head are not exactly laid out for taller people (above 185cm).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service and location.

Cons: Good room but small. No room for a second suitcase! Good breakfast but no cereal on offer.
7,1 Good

Cons: the pillow is so hard, I have trouble sleeping using that
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. Subtle changes each day made it extra interesting. Bread rolls, pastry, rice and some local selection as well, just the right amount we felt. The room was clean and comfortable and had a small table and chair as extra compared to other hotels. The staff on reception were most helpful especially as we chose to extend our stay and they ensured we could stay in the same room. The location is great, easily walkable to the baseball stadium and the port as well as other attractions like the cup noodle museum.
Cons: There was nowhere to store our bikes which we are happy to accept is no failing by the hotel and would not affect most travellers.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It was nice stay there. Subway, train and Starbucks nearby. Room was clean, stuff was so nice. Breakfast included and good for a 5 days stay - kind of buffet.
Cons: Small rooms. Nearly impossible to open a lagguage... But it's common in this part of word :-)
8,5 Excellent
Pros: Good
7,0 Good
Pros: Central location - close (walking distance) to cruise terminal. Shops and restaurants within close proximity.
Cons: Very small but fairly standard for Japan's cities motels/hotels

Pros: First class hotel in a great location
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the view from our Sky Resort Floor Atelier Room which overlooked the harbour, the boats/ ships. We enjoyed watching the sun rise each morning, something we couldn’t do in the other cities we stayed in on this trip. This hotel was only a 5 min sheltered walk from the train station and also close to the shops, a train stop from the Yokohama stadium. It was so close to everything. We loved it and would highly recommend staying here.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for the room size I chose Deluxe twin
Cons: The other room type Comfort Double room is small and is difficult to walk about
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Room size very good and bed very comfortable
Cons: Nothing great place to stay
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a room facing the harbor so the view was superb. It so happened that the Yokohama marathon was being held the Sunday we were there, and it was a treat to see the runners covering the route all the way to the Red Brick Warehouse.
Cons: We tried the breakfast buffet because we were given a discount coupon, but we didn't think much of it - not much variety, and the food was quite ordinary. Not worth the high price even with the discount.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Great location in minatomirai part of Yokohama.
Cons: Expensive
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Perfect stay. What a nice view and what a nice hotel! Thanks :)
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The beds and bathrooms were superb
Cons: The rooms were to small and a room in 3 star would be bigger in England at 75% less in price .
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice large room, very comfortable.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Royal Park Hotel is always great. We have stayed there many times. The rooms are large and well appointed, the staff is nice, and the View, especially if you have a bay view, is great. Since the hotel starts fifty floors up, all views are spectacular. The breakfast buffet on the top floor is great with a wonderful view.
Cons: The check-out procedure could be better. You often have to stand in a long line if you check out at 11:00 am. I don't understand why a modern hotel in a modern country like Japan forces you to stand in line to check out rather than do it electronically.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: breakfast in 70th floor, excellant view
Cons: no security control for elevator
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the window in your room is something what you cannot find in any other urban hotel in the world. Very clean room. Plenty of shops and cafe in the same building.
Cons: Nothing.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, walking distance to Yokohama station and with a lot of restaurants and bars around. The rooms were clean and nice.
Cons: The elevator was really slow.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located at Shimbashi Station and is a short walk from Hamarikyu Koen and Caretta Shiodome Building, which has tons of restaurants and a really nice store featuring wines and local spirits.
Cons: Doing laundry is a bit pricey and the dryers don't dry quickly. I had to stay up until 1:00 AM one evening just today a small load.
7,0 Good
Pros: This is a central hotel, very near the station. Perfect to reach Haneda Airport.
Cons: The staff could not speak a word of English. Impossible to communicate when having a problem.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location near the port; a lot of restaurants in the hotel building and even a supermarket, stunning view over the port
Cons: small room but that is standard in Japan...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, rooms small but perfect for a short stay. Good breakfast but not included in price.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Very close to the port and there was a 7 eleven downstairs. Hanare restaurant was fantastic we went there twice
Cons: The rooms were extremely small
1,0 Poor
Pros: Room was very small. Not how it was sold to us from the images
Cons: Size
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfy. Many restaurants, a 7-11, and a Starbucks at the hotel.
Cons: The advertised "city view" doesn't necessarily mean the good view. I was given a room facing a tall building that obstructed most of the window view. The Lobby was hard to find for first-timers. Management needs to include clear ENGLISH signs leading to the reception area.
