Pros: This wonderful hotel is ideally located close to the waterfront , fabulous eateries, cafes, restaurants, Red Brick warehouse and wonderful shopping outlets. We had a club room waterfront view and we loved the views, size of our comfy room and the very helpful staff. We would highly recommend this excellent hotel if you decide to visit Yokohama!

Pros: I stayed in 3 levels of rooms during my 2 stays in the same week. The higher levels definitely were more enjoyable. I did choose to include breakfast each morning and was happy with that decision. While expensive it is expansive and extremely well prepared. I also used the fitness center each day and found the additional cost worthwhile as in addtion to the gym there are full locker areas with Japanese style baths and sauna as well as a pool.

Pros: The Royal Park Hotel is always great. We have stayed there many times. The rooms are large and well appointed, the staff is nice, and the View, especially if you have a bay view, is great. Since the hotel starts fifty floors up, all views are spectacular.

Cons: The check-out procedure could be better. You often have to stand in a long line if you check out at 11:00 am. I don't understand why a modern hotel in a modern country like Japan forces you to stand in line to check out rather than do it electronically.

Cons: the room was a little dated and the lighting was a little dim but we could look past that. the breakfast buffet could've had a lot more variety considering you're paying over 2700 yen for the full american breakfast and there was barely anything to eat compared to other hotels that are 3* hotels. Its a 5 star hotel and the food that was provided was luke warm at best. Was probably the worst hotel buffet I've experienced in any hotel I've stayed in in Asia.

Cons: Bathtub and bathroom were tiny. The hotel is quite old fashioned, old keys for rooms, only 1 key, room service finishes by 9.30pm and midnight room service finishes at 11pm.

+ Easy access to Tokyo via Minatomirai Station (from where you can catch a train direct to many Tokyo neighborhoods or get anywhere with 1 transfer). (I would recommend using Hyperdia (http://www.hyperdia.com/en/) for looking up train directions.)
+ While I was checking out, a staff member came up to help me with my two large suitcases and spoke into his headset to have a cab waiting for me by the time we got down the escalator.
+ Many more instances such as this of subtle and excellent customer service are what really defined this stay for me.
+ Access to the airports is easy via Yokohama station where the Keikyū Airport Line will take you to Haneda in 30 min or the JR Narita Express will take you to Narita in 1.5 hrs. If you are traveling light, you can change trains at Yokohama to the Minatomirai line and take that to Minatomirai Station, which is a block from the Intercontinental. (If you have a lot of bags, as I did, you might find it easier to take a 10 min cab ride between Yokohama station and Minatomirai station.)

We could easily walk to the redbrick warehouse which was having Christmas Market, Cosmos world with the ferris wheel, Cup Noodle Museum, Chinatown.

Pros: Clean and safe area. Picked this hotel due to the close proximity of the park. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. This is a great hotel to stay if you are going on a cruise due to the proximity of the terminal. Would definitely stay here again if we were going on our next cruise from Yokohama. We also got a room that overlooked the ocean. We took a taxi to the pier to catch our cruise....you can walk there if you don't have a lot of luggage. It looked like a short walk but it's quite a trip because it's a bit of an incline when you get to the pier. So if you have walking issues then it's definitely worth taking a cab. There's also a lot of places that is close by the hotel but we only had time to go to the Noodle Museum. This place is so much fun to visit. It's unlike anything you will see anywhere. If you go there, you should go to the area where you can assemble your own "instant cup of noodle" to take home with you. It gets busy around noon so go there when they open and get an early session ticket.

Everything was spotlessly clean. Two subway station were within about a seven-minute walk.
Reception staff were friendly and polite.

Cons: 놘 – No coffee or bottled water in the room, only one very small pillow each and no face flannels. Double bed was only 5 foot not 6. A bit tight considering we splashed out to finish our holiday in style having paid £280 for the average room (this did including breakfast), made worse by seeing if we had stayed a day later the room was only £130 !

The rooms were a good size, with a work desk. There are shopping centres nearby that you can walk to, the Porters World one is good. The breakfast was nice and had good variety too. Overall a good choice for us in Yokohama.

As it was a 15 minute subway ride from Yokohama station which had the typical shopping/dining center as well. The bus station was also part of this complex which we needed for our bus ride the next day to Hakone. Hotel was nice with a Lawson's downstairs (like a 7-11) for getting quick food, drinks and ATM. Room was your typical smaller type room but it was fine for our needs.

Cons: are not able to adjust the air conditioner. we arrived early and was told to wait until 3 p.m. to check in. such a big hotel, are all rooms available only at 3 p.m. exactly, very inflexible .where is the japanese hospitality. punctuality do not so much apply to traveller, as conditions are sometimes beyoun there control.

Cons: The room barely fits the bed and the bed is extremely small. I reserved a room for 3 (me plus kids ages 10 and 13). Surprised they gave me such a small room. It is not even suitable for two.

Pros: They had the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel. I just sunk into it. Other than that, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the train station, less if you weren't carrying luggage, and that station was only a couple stops away from Yokohama station - great location.

Pros: I have stayed at this hotel many times and like it very much. It is in a location that meets my needs exceptionally well.
Cons: I HATED the new big TV screen. That is completely unnecessary. It takes up half the room, makes it feel even smaller than it originally is, and makes the vanity mirror totally useless. It also pumps advertising at me in a way that I do not appreciate at all.

Cons: Too hot eventhough no air con on. The mat bed was too soft, I really had a backache after 3 days. Not really secure compared to other APA hotels. Closed view on the windows.

Cons: I wish I had known the bed was the way it was. I would have booked an extra night or two.
The only complaint I have - and this isn't really a complaint - is that you could tell that it was an older room. It was clean but you could also see the occasional scuff on the wall. That sort of thing.
