Pros: Absolutely amazing. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is in a great location, the room (room 8) was superb. Great views over porth beach and plenty of room including storage in the room. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was one of the most powerful showers we have ever used in a hotel. The added benefit of having a living and bedroom area meant that one of us could have a nap whilst the other was catching up on TV. As we visited out of season we knew we'd spend a lot of time in our room and we were not disappointed at all. The owner, Bath, even helpfully provided us with some board games and cards for our room. The continental breakfast was also great. Great choice and a great mix of healthy and fresh options. Our only negative was that we visited out of season so we were unable to experience the cooked food as we read so many good reviews about it. We would also like to the thank the Bath, Angie and their son for making our stay so lovely. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to say goodbye.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was in a good location and the staff were very friendly. The facilities were good overall and everything was clean and comfortable. The food was a very good standard and great choice for breakfast.
Cons: Whilst it was quite understandable that dinner needed to be booked in advance it did mean you couldn’t decide to eat in spontaneously - which was a shame. Our stay was admittedly out of season but it seemed very quiet and this made it feel a bit like a posh B&B
10,0 Excellent

They have great tips for where to eat and visit. The room was clean and well maintained with a shower which gave plenty of hot water whenever you needed it. The pub nearby is great and it is located very close to Porth Beach which had very few people on it despite how beautiful it is. The South West Coast Path is just across the road from Rolling Waves.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great view, wonderful breakfast.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: So close to the sea and shops
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Chris was a great host, very happy and always said hello and bye when you came in and out. Made you feel welcome. Recommended best places to eat and places to go. Lovely breakfast, clean. Not a fan of a shared bathroom but other rooms do have en-suites. We had a balcony and seaview which is better lol. Only main downfall was parking - it's only free if you manage to get a space outside which is very difficult and very limited being close to the beach and home owners also obviously take majority. Apart from that it was a lovely break and place to stay. Thanks Chris.
Cons: Not a fan of a shared bathroom/toilet but other rooms do have en-suites. We had a balcony and seaview which is better lol. Only main downfall really was parking - it's only free if you manage to get a space outside which is very difficult and very limited being close to the beach and home owners also obviously take majority. There is a car park a few minutes drive away but personally I think that's abit far from the guest house which is also free from 4pm-9am which means you have to move it early in the morning to somewhere free. I think breakfast could be a little longer too, it was 8.15-9.15. Felt we couldn't relax as much as we had to get up early everyday day to get breakfast having paid for it.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We liked our stay very much. We`ve got a very warm welcome, the room was nice, silent and clean and the breakfast was also good. Thank you very much!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fine

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The room was spotless and staff very attentive.
Cons: The evening meal was adequate but not exceptional. I only had a main course though so cannot comment on the starters and desserts
6,0 Good
Pros: Nice rooms and Great Breakfast. Otherwise served the purpose for my overnight stay for meeting the following morning. I imagine very nice in the Summer.
Cons: Unstaffed Bar, despite waiting 15mins and several staff seeing me waiting. Failure to award the Best Western Reward points (still waiting for them to be credited). WiFi would not connect to iPhone (I would have queried but it was only one night stay so didn't bother).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, bedroom and public areas all clean and very comfortable. Nice little bar and lovely restaurant. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and there was plenty of choice (cooked food could have been hotter) views from restaurant and bar were lovely. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We had B&B which was great value. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again when down Newquay way.
Cons: We were really looking forward to dinner in the restaurant, my husband's food was excellent especially his fabulous fillet steak but my starter and main was expensive and disappointing. My scallop starter was 3 small pieces of a scallop (or they were the smallest scallops in the world) and 2 small pieces of black pudding, there was about 2 small mouthfuls of food in total for nearly £9 and tbh it didn't taste of much. My lemon sole main could have been good, but the lovely fish was served with big chunky veg and there was no sauce, so the whole meal was dry. I like veg but I don't want to eat plain veg with nothing on it.I spoke with the waitress, who said she'd let the chef know for next time - NEXT TIME! what about this time , I'm the person paying nearly £20 for the dish?? Anyway another waitress came over and offered to get me sauce, which she did, but honestly, it was too little too late. The next day when we checked out I was charged for my main course, I thought they should have taken it off the bill. I mentioned the issue to the receptionist and she said I'd have to put in writing - well here, I have.

Pros: The room was lovely and decorated nicely. The spacious free parking was great. You can pay for a late check out until 12 which was also great!
Cons: The bed was WAY too soft! It needs a new mattress! The shower was very weak and slow. The breakfast is only available for an hour in the morning which seemed a bit short and very early for those wanting a relaxed morning. The neighbours place is under construction and they started drilling and sanding early in the morning which woke us up.

Pros: Extremely welcoming Staff, the rooms are beautiful, the restaurant is excellent and we would definitely stay here again.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: From arrival to departure the experience at the Plume of Feathers was just what was needed after a busy Christmas period. Great food in the restaurant both an evening meal and a fabulous Cornish Breakfast.
Cons: A watt or two on the in-room LED bulb selection, as it can be a little too dim for some ladies doing their make-up, we had to move the bedside lights to the dressing table to assist. Perhaps privacy film on the ground floor room windows as you can be overlooked by other guests easily. The room (10) was quite warm and ventilation limited as windows on the ground floor could only be secured shut or in a trickle vent position, and not left open and perhaps secured with a secondary chain to increase cooling.

Pros: The view was amazing and the location was also outstandingl. But the shower had no water pressure and the bedroom was nice but not luxurious, I expected more for the price of the hotel. We always seemed to speak to the chef, he was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the staff friendly. This hotel is definitely for long term repeat clients.

Pros: Traditional, comfortable, very high quality, yet with an informal and friendly atmosphere
Cons: Can’t fault it
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Superb location and great staff. Really beautiful hotel.
Cons: Only criticism is that the walls are thin... and it’s not great value for Australian travelers due to exchange rates.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole ambiance of the hotel was brilliant and all the staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and courteous. We were impressed with both the food and service in the Terrace restaurant and hope to comeback again soon.
Cons: We were very disappointed with the breakfast; a hot buffet is rarely truly hot and although all the waitresses were very pleasant, the service was poor. No butter on the table and when they did bring it, it was so cold and hard it was inedible We had to ask to have our used plates removed, the fruit in the fruit bowl was "past its best", the orange juice was of a poor quality, the pastries seemed dry and stale and to us the breakfast did not do justice to the hotel. We only dined in the Samphire restaurant on one evening and although both first courses were superb, my sole meunière was overcooked and extremely disappointing. I suspect that the fish had been frozen as it was very dry and the roast new potatoes were also overcooked - all a great shame as we were celebrating my husband's 85th birthday. I did complain to two members of the waiting staff and they assured me that my comments would be relayed to the chef but no one from the kitchen came to speak to us. My husband and I frequently go on Saga cruises and sadly, in certain respects The Headland did not meet the standards we have learnt to expect from Saga.

Pros: This hotel is a special place: a stunning location and a beautiful hotel with its stylish Art Deco features and gorgeous art everywhere. Family friendly with tranquil spaces to escape with a book. Log fires, aromatherapy oils, gallery, gym, ocean views...My favourite hotel.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great location, fantastic staff, lovely quality food and drink. Stylish spaces!
Cons: Breakfast is like a scrum, so busy and lots of queuing etc because it is self service. Food quality and choice is fantastic, but it’d be better if at least the cooked breakfast element and toast was table service. We were there at half term, so expected lots of people, but we did feel like we were frequently reminded that we had to book things, queue for things, or do without at times because of how busy it was, which is not why we went away for the weekend! Staff super friendly and hard working, which helps, but I think more shared spaces and more staff would make the whole experience much more relaxing when it is busy.

Pros: We enjoyed everything from the room, to the wellness centre, restaurant, good food. The breakfast was very good and with lots of choices, the staff very friendly, especially at the breakfast time. The view from the restaurant it was speechless. We did enjoyed the voucher, thank you to all, we'll visit again.
Cons: What I didn't like that we didn't had room with view.

Pros: The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.

Pros: Hotel is in an beautiful location. Good breakfast with a wide choice of food served by pleasant, friendly staff. Dinner in the Herring restaurant was excellent. I loved the sound of the Santa experience and wish I had a child to take along and share the pleasure. The 60s decor was an unexpected and very retro stylish step back in time: loved the unique Christmas tree.
Cons: The swimming pool was too cold to swim in. I tried but was still cold even after quickly swimming several lengths. Water temperature was tested and initially I accepted the explanation that the pool had recently been refilled but it should have been warm the following day. Perhaps the temperature needs to be turned up for cold winter, sunless days.

Pros: The hotel was comfortable and clean, the pool table and darts board was also a nice touch if you wanted a bit of entertainment/unwinding with family and friends. Tea/coffee was replenished daily if wanted, and all the rooms that I had seen from the rest of my travelling party had very pleasing views of the sea.

Pros: Central to shops and pubs. Lovely sea view. Good parking. Nice and easy overall. Would stay again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Glendeveor was fantastic for many reasons: the breakfast spread was large and, in particular, the breakfast staffs' attention to detail and friendliness went above and beyond; the proprietor, John, was jovial, informative, and truly hospitable, we felt so welcome; the guest kitchen suited our needs perfectly, we made great use of the microwave and fridge for preparing our baby's food as well as in-hotel meals; and we were provided with a good cot for the baby, plenty of blankets, and a high chair which made travelling so much easier because we didn't have to carry them with us.
Cons: Small (but functional) bathrooms. If you are a bigger (tall or wide) sort of person, the ensuite bathrooms are a bit tight.
