Excellent 10,0
Pros: Excellent from every aspect. This is the best possible hotel you can stay at. Do not have a second thought...
Cons: Everything was excellent. We liked everything!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: There was a great choice for breakfast both continental and full English freshly cooked to order. The location could not be better the beach and coastal footpaths just a short walk away. Our room, St Ives(No 8) definitely exceeded expectations being both spacious and recently refurbished to a high standard. There were separate bedroom and lounge areas with a tv in each. There was a well stocked fridge in the room and also a selection of biscuits and chocolate for purchase. Bottled tap water and fresh milk was available from the dining room. The en-suite bathroom contained a good quality power shower. Great views from the comfortable sun terrace leading off from the bar.
Cons: It would be an advantage to have the bills printed off for checking prior to departure.
Excellent 10,0

Pros: The welcome was so pleasant I was made to feel instantly at home - they even provided me a lovely mug of de-caf coffee (not catered for in many places!) as my journey had been 8 hours and then remembered for my full visit that I prefer de-caff! The whole B&B was immaculately clean and comfy
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 10,0
Pros: The owners of rolling waves were very friendly and accommodating right from the start. They made me feel very at home and I wouldn’t hesitate coming back. The room was comfortable and the breakfast excellent.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We loved everything about this place, it feels very homely and the views are just stunning looking out onto Porth Bay! The breakfast was wonderful as we could choose a cooked breakfast and there was a continental breakfast available as well. We will definitely return again. Alec and Jenny are amazing hosts, so friendly and welcoming and made us feel so welcome. Thanks again. Xx
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was superb.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I will be recommending Rolling Waves to family and friends. Lovely staff, really comfy bed, great breakfast and I loved the bath.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The breakfast, the location, the view, the friendliness of the hosts. Just a fabulous place! Overall I just really enjoyed my stay here and I will be back without a doubt.
Cons: The blind in the room is pretty ineffective at blocking out the very early morning summer sunshine and the glass above the door also lets in a lot of outside light, especially when guests in the next room leave their light on.

Pros: Easy reach of beach. Easy check in & out.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast. Good location. Very friendly staff. Very clean.
Cons: Hairdryer could have been better - but was adequate!
Excellent 9,5
Pros: lovely breakfast, just found hotel a little far out of town center
Cons: nothing
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Pine Lodge was the perfect B&B for a short break in Newquay. We had a family room (2 adults and 2 children) which was the perfect size for the 4 of us, it was clean and the hospitality tray was replenished daily. Parking at the property was great. Staff were super friendly and the food was good. We will definitely return!
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Clean Excellent pool facilities Good breakfast well cooked
Cons: Slightly out of town
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Super friendly and welcoming staff. Incredibly clean and comfortable rooms. The pool area is a sun trap so great for topping up your tan! The breakfast was exceptional - perfect portion size and excellently cooked.
Cons: Pool hadn’t been skimmed when I swam, but in summer that’s tough to keep on top of.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: The breakfast is excellent and the staff absolutely lovely. The rooms very clean.
Cons: The only quibble for me was that the tea was served from a thermos rather than a teapot. Additionally the pool opens at 10am which doesn't allow a swim before breakfast.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfy beds, friendly staff, good location, heated pool, nice breakfast, good location, plenty of free parking, WiFi free & strong enough for streaming.
Cons: Perhaps a few too many do’s and don’t rules signposted around the place.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Really good breakfast. Helpful friendly staff. A beautiful 15 minute cliff top walk into Newquay and only £5 in a taxi when we were tired
Cons: Breakfast finished at 9.30 which is a bit too early for us but we still made the most and enjoyed the food
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Room was beautiful, spacious and newly decorated. Lovely double aspect windows, really comfy bed, large bathroom and powerful shower. Great location and friendly staff.
Cons: Price tag reflected location and school holidays and was more expensive that other similar hotels in my experience, but I would still recommend a visit. Only other niggle - car park very small. (Note, top floor rooms are up two quite narrow staircases - fine for me,but worth knowing.)
Excellent 10,0
Pros: In easy walking distance of Porth beach and the Mermaid pub - if we had time, it had easy access to Newquay town centre. We didn't use the pool but our room overlooked the pool and it looked very inviting. We only stayed one night but next time we would like to stay longer and take advantage of the pool and bar facilities. The room was spacious and the bathroom was large. Shower was great and room facilities very good. The breakfast was delicious and nothing had been forgotten - amazing poached eggs too!!! Young lady who checked us in and out was extremely professional and just delightful and helpful. Thank you.
Cons: The was nothing that I didn't like - I could not find fault. Everything was perfect.
Good 7,0
Pros: The bed was big ! Shower was good, room was big too
Cons: Everything was a little dated, needs a well overdue upgrade, looks better in the photos, looks really basic. Conservatory was warm for breakfast
Good 6,3
Pros: Large room.
Cons: No elevator, manual carring of luggage to the second floor.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Very big room, recently refurbished, great seating area in the room with a large TV that was easy to see from the bed (often hotel TV's are so small that its like watching the TV on a phone). The room was very clean and the breakfast was varied and tasty. Our room was at the top of the hotel and we did think that the water pressure would be bad but the shower was so powerful and the shower tray was larger and sleek
Cons: I would have liked a bath but the shower was really powerful and large. The stairs to the top floor where we were staying were very steep. The thing that I felt didn't do the hotel credit was the tea and coffee tray in the room, it was very cheap and felt out of place compared to the rest of the hotel. The rest of the hotel is well presented and the quality of the breakfast ingredients were very good the tray coffee sachets etc just didnt match the rest of the hotel
Excellent 10,0
Pros: very clean, comfortable? and helpful staff.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Good location, Small car park, Breakfast good. The room I had was extremely clean and fresh, spacious. Bathroom was clean and had all the amenities that you would expect.
Cons: The staff were helpful and attentive but they were a little elusive at times, likely busy dealing with other guests. I had to go and find someone a couple of times but when I did they were actively doing something else. There was an amount of noise/sound that travelled between rooms both next to and from above.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Absolutely fantastic hotel. We had a very large room with a balcony overlooking a small bay. Service and breakfast was excellent.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff were friendly and made you feel welcomed and very helpful thought are stay, the chef even offered to go collect my partner some tablets from the local shop as he was feeling unwell the room was clean and tidy. And everything we needed. The pool was lovely and warm. Couldn't off asked for a better stay.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like

Pros: Staff very friendly room lovely and clean hot working showers
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Lovely facilities, beautiful breakfasts
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. I am wheat and dairy free but I was catered for beyond any expectation. There were fruits, cereals, and a very varied, freshly cooked full English. Also there were gluten free biscuits in my room to have with a tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The location was perfect as my family were attending a wedding at nearby Bre Pen farm. Declan and Jean, our hosts, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I thoroughly recommend Trevarrian Lodge.
Cons: Nothing to improve on.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: The breakfast, as always, was amazing :-)
Cons: Bed wasn't particularly comfortable (was quite firm!) - could do with a mattress topper, but that's just personal preference :-)
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Loved the extra little thoughts and touches, lovely owners and clearly rightfully proud. Felt relaxed for both days we were there and it was lovely and quiet & peaceful. Nice little pub to eat in just 3 minutes walk away that has a great atmosphere.
Cons: Genuinely everything was as expected and then more, no complaints at all.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Superb breakfast with lots of choice of fresh local produce. Located close to the airport and handy for Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth beaches. Great hosts, friendly and very helpful. Dog friendly too.
Cons: Our room was the small one with a separate bathroom, which we were aware one before. It's not a big issue but would be more convenient if it was en-suite. However the lower price more than adequately compensates.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Quiet location very handy for the airport. Declan and Jean are the most helpful, friendly people you could hope to meet. We can't wait to go back.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Location was good for walking the SWCP; c7 min walk from the path. Very friendly welcome and and a spotlessly clean and comfortable room. The Travellers Rest Inn is a 2 min walk round the corner for v good grub at a reasonable price; be warned it was very busy (I guess cos there's a holiday park not far away) so it's maybe advisable to book. I didn't as it happens but was OK.
Cons: Shower was a bit cramped and unpredictable. The request to fill in a questionnaire on arrival felt a bit officious and like something from a bygone era.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Such a lovely welcome. The place was so fresh and clean. Guest sitting room with extras and a fridge. Breakfast was really good and multiple choices.

Good 7,5
Pros: Location exellent. Sunset seeing in your bed is ten points. Breakfast is medium, but the hosts are very enthusiastic.
Cons: Small space in the room, and bathroom The furniture is pretty old, but clean.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful location - could not ask for a better view! Very clean Fabulous hosts who work their socks off day and night to ensure guests needs are met. What a lovely family to have met! They also have good knowledge of the area and can recommend local attractions, restaurants, taxis etc. Lovely breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold foods Dinner in the evening was delicious - the steak and ale pie was to die for! Comfortable rooms with tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Very reasonably priced bar with a great atmosphere
Cons: As advised on arrival, the hot water can take a while to come through on the second floor, but wasnt an issue as it was piping hot once it came through. Building is an older building with thin walls. We could hear muffled voices from the room next door on occasions, but didnt bother us. Our Bedroom & bathroom were quite small, but had everything you need for a b&b and well worth the price we paid.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: We had a perfect room with a perfect view, our stay was amazing for us. Breakfast was lovely and the people that own it were very friendly and welcoming. We definitely want to stay again!
Cons: The only thing that bothered us slightly was how hot it was in our room, with no air conditioning this is to be expected.

Pros: Very comfortable bed and room. Excellent facilities. Breathtaking scenery and coastline.
Cons: Very busy restaurant. Needed to book ahead to get a table.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Great situation, excellent staff and food.. Only let down was the small, hot bedroom on the first floor adjacent to the very, very noisy carpark .. I would stay again but most definitely worth stating a sea-view room and higher than the first floor!
Cons: Small, hot, noisy first floor bedroom
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location
Cons: The self service breakfast & dogs being allowed there
Excellent 9,3
Pros: Breakfast was very good the location was superb but it may be worth mentioning that the beach is a small climb down the cliff..The Spa was fabulous Food in the Herring restaurant was very good..The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: I was disappointed with the food from the Wild cafe..portions were small( especially the cold chips) and badly presented with no garnish at all. I asked for a side salad to liven up my steak a bit and received a small bowl of lettuce with 5 green olives..Steak was £22 salad £4...and honestly not worth it. I was slightly embarassed as I was treating friends to supper too, sadly they weren't impressed and it slightly spoilt an otherwise perfect stay.

Good 7,0
Pros: Location. Cooperation of staff.
Cons: Rooms very basic. No extras.
Excellent 9,3
Pros: Reception lady was great . Hotel was good value
Cons: Ice machine
Okay 5,5
Pros: It served the purpose of an overnight stay to visit family.
Cons: The bed base looked like it had come from a charity shop. We couldn't open the patio door. There was no other window.so no fresh air in the room. The bathroom was nice but the shower needed a good clean and the paint was peeling off the ceiling. Did not realise when booking that breakfast was not included an extra £10per person on a cost of £140 per night. The chairs in the lounge were all peeling ontge arms. Attention to detail is needed.
Good 7,0
Pros: Tasty full english Breakfast
Cons: Wasnt a great deal of choice and quite expensive for what you get.
Good 7,5
Pros: Really enjoyed the location and rooms where spacious ( excellent signs ) information ) breakfast and great location for beach and parking facilities) lovely garden area and seating spaces also and patio ( swimming pool and tv area for relaxing reception area Lovely pictures of the coast lines and lovely little door names Great staff helpful Great security and safety Quirky and Victorian feel Big breakfast area and good choice
Cons: Could do with more air conditioning Better blinds in rooms A larger TV screen in rooms A bin in the bathroom A corner unit for shower for shampoo etc A long mirror for clothes just personal preference for dresses etc Coffee could be better a leaves a bitter taste ( just personal preference ) Maybe a security safe for belongings
Okay 4,5
Pros: The location is excellent
Cons: The rooms are dated and the bed was dirty and had pubic hairs on the sheets
Okay 4,3
Pros: The view
Cons: No fridge In room, dirty, no adequate ventilation or air con. The balcony was tiny couldn't fit two people on it at the same time.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: It was extremely clean and well kept, staff are incredibly friendly and the bed was really comfortable.
Cons: Not that it's a huge problem, but perhaps a fan for warm summer days and a small safe to keep important things?

Pros: Bed comfy.view splendid.beer good. Food fair. Very handy for early flight.
Cons: Small room, primitive shower, all rather needing update and a good clean.
Okay 5,0
Pros: no toilet paper both nights despie requesting No marmalade
Cons: as above
Good 7,5
Pros: The breakfasts were very good. The location suited us as we wanted to be near to Newquay and Mawgan Porth beach. The staff were very friendly and the conservatory has a spectacular grape vine.
Cons: The premises have definitely seen better days. The building has a slightly tatty air. The garden was obviously once spectacular but is now unkempt with grass unmown. The rooms are very small but with large bathrooms. The shower in our room suffered because there was insufficient hot water pressure to work the shower properly however the bath was fine.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: We had an early breakfast to catch an 8 am plane. Good srevice.
Cons: Having to get up early
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: A bit tired
Excellent 8,0
Pros: comfortable beds, good location (ish), friendly staff and people, rustic feel, had everything we needed, breakfast was delicious and they made and extra effort for my veganism which was really appreciated
Cons: it was right next to the airport so a fair amount of noise, fan on until quite late in the evening and right outside our room..it was turned off over night however. very small room and the shower had to be adjusted minute amounts or far too hot/cold. quite alot of late night shrieking and running around but I should have expected that with a pub downstairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay - I would stay again, enjoyed the rustic-ness of the place
Excellent 10,0
Pros: This is a super friendly place to stay. Comfortable and the food is AMAZING. The Hotel hosts are fabulous and happy to do anything to make your stay a happy and comfortable one. We had various meals there and could not fault anything. We were meeting friends at a restaurant in Mawgan Porth and unable to get a taxi. No problem..... Jack took us in his own car.
Cons: The fact that we couldn't stay longer.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Really central location for exploring Cornwall. Our dogs were made welcome and our room clean. The staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely folks!
Excellent 9,5
Pros: The food was amazing. The staff were so helpful. Nothing was too much for them. The atmosphere was so relaxing.
Cons: Nothing at all.
Mediocre 2,5
Pros: 3 minutes away from the airport
Cons: This was way below average rating. It wasn't the cosy traditional pub accommodation we were expecting and the photos on booking.com do not completely represent what you get. There were several problems which could have been resolved before we arrived, no keys for the room (keys broken and taken by previous guest), no shower gel or shampoo as the attachments were broken by a previous guest. The room felt dirty with the carpets, main lamp gives no light in the room, the walls are very very thin and you can hear people snoring loud the entire night, the bed was average comfort level, general decor is outdated. The cost of booking a double room here should not be more than £30 or £40 max. The management apologized for the loss of keys and missing items in the bathroom. Tried to help once we arrived, but, as said, could have been done much earlier and not wait till our arrival at 7:30 pm. We had a very early flight the next morning and was promised a takeaway breakfast at 6am but there was no one around. Real disappointment with this Inn many many things can be done to improve...attention to details, better organization, cozier rooms, better communication, removing the carpets inside the rooms....etc etc
