Pros: Couldn't of wished for anywhere better to stay... Louise was the perfect host and so lovely... The place was immaculate the facilities was excellent with added massage chair, sauna and exercise bike... The breakfast was lovely lots of choice to choose from...theres a fridge of pop and beers/spirits in lounge that you can help yourself at a cost that you put your name and what you have had in the honesty book and pay at end of stay... Plus theres dvds, games and consoles with games for you to use... The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily, with hairdryer and fan in room, couldn't fault anything. They even except dogs which is an added bonus for us. We will definitely be going back.

Cons: Mould on Toast, lumpy pillows but worst of all the stains on the duvet it’s self, which we where assured where coffee and not blood but had been washed!! But stain s where very evident. This spoiled our stay some what . It was a shame as the landlady was so helpful and friendly..

Pros: Great location. Hotel really goes the extra mile for the kids. Free teddy, free sticks of rock, a bedtime story, with milk and a cookie and entertainment. Bed was really comfy and room was blacked out and quiet, so had a great night sleep. Nice pool/spa/etc. The views from the hotel bar/restaurant are amazing. And, the breakfast was superb! We rarely stay somewhere more than once, but this place, we would.

Cons: Our room that I booked was a standard but on the website they still looked nice, however the room that we were given was tiny,very bad view off other people’s rooms, was smelly like sick smell, there were stains all over the carpets, marks on the walls and rust on the radiator, there was slight mould on the windows! Just not £95 worth had complained as was given a family room was oaky but nothing special maybe they need to update there photos and show customers what they are actually paying for! I will not staying here again and would of liked my money back but I don’t think that would of happened

Cons: These are only really minor things that didn't massively impact our stay: - the kids pool was too shallow for our 5yr old and the adult pool was too deep. So, if you've got a toddler, or say a 7+yr old (or a child that can swim), you're ok. - parking spaces are limited, but that's to be expected in a hotspot.

Cons: I booked the restaurant for my birthday meal, but when we got there it is like a witherspoons so we had a quick drink and went somewhere else. Also the shower was nice for me being a slim 5ft woman, but my husband is quite a bit bigger he could get in and set the tap on but he didn't have enough room to wash his hair or get a proper wash he is xxl size. Also the photos were accurate of the room but in reality there was only a small area to move around in, it was cramped and dark.

Pros: Great location, we did get upgraded to a Superior sea view room, which makes me wonder what a standard room is like. Some serious money needs spending on the building and the interiors. All areas are tired, the carpet in our room was grim. Continental breakfast was good, cooked not so! It’s a shame because the view and location are stunning-being on the Pentire Headland.

Cons: The steam room was out of order, tiny swimming pool, and like the rest of the place, tired. The dining room carpet had a hump running through it, trip hazard!! Our bedroom carpet needed putting in a skip, minging. And our room was a superior!!

Cons: The swimming pool was freezing cold, far to cold to even get in. The bed sheets had crumbs on them and lots of hair. The bathroom was dusty and dirty in places. The window blind was broken so we were unable to open them. Half the gym equipment and the air conditioning were our of order.

Cons: Did not expect to need to pay £10 per person for breakfast after forking out for the actual accomodation but i could of got past that if the breakfast was good value for money... one sausage one piece of bacon some stone cold beans some 'fried mushrooms' if thats what you can call them seemed like they were a couple of days old and reheated and that was just mine. same with my wifes vegetarian breakfast was missing the extras it stated on the menu and when questioned was told that was all they had... fair enough. although the 'healty sweet' as it was called is free staying guests as advertised there is a indoor swimming pool.... which was nice apart from its sub-zero tempretures so despite being stated as a heated pool the only heating was one working wall mounted heater in the room with the pool as for the Gym equipmemt all stacked into one room which appears to have a serious damp issue and a fairly major water leak from above but hey i didnt go for excercise

Pros: The only things we liked about the blue reef lodge was that the bed was comfy and did have a good night sleep and that it was close to the beach and town.
Cons: While staying here we had a private bathroom and it was absolutely stinking. The smell was so bad it made the bed room smell. The shower was also very slippy with no mats due to this i ended up falling and cutting my leg and now is badly bruised . The shower door also never closed properly. The bath room door also kept getting suck. The bed room just looked like a prison, had the it will do theme and looked half finished. No staff members to be seen the whole stay. Every day there was people outside in the sitting area smoking cannabis and inside was stinking of it.

Cons: Upon arrival there was a sign at reception to go and check into the hotel next door, we checked in but I can't say we we're welcomed. Although the room was clean in general the place was very run down! Bed uncomfortable. £30 per person 'good behaviour' deposit is totally excessive! Paying £12 for parking even though it is part of the hotel/lodge is ridiculous, no discount rate for anyone staying there. Not once did we see any staff from the lodge even though we were here in the height of the summer season. Upon returning one evening no doors to the lodge would open and no signs saying where to go, we took it upon ourselves to go into the hotel only to be told that we now have to go in through there as it was quiet in the lodge so no staff, a sign saying so would have been handy!! Plenty more I could add but I don't have the time!

Cons: I booked for Berties, we couldn't get in to Berties, we had to go through the the Victoria. I felt I was being treated like a lower class customer. It was when we climbed the stairs and over into Berties did I realise why. We went from a nice hotel, fab decor, nice carpet, to hell. Once through the door from The Victoria, into Berties hallway, the walls where filthy, the carpets were and are disgusting, I wouldn't put my dog there. Once in the room, which looked like a prison cell, absolutely disgusted, no tea/coffee, but the Victoria had it, no sea view, but the Victoria had it, no option for breakfast, but the Victoria had it, no room service, but the Victoria had it, etc etc. Yes I understand, you get what you pay for, but that was terrible, making customers feel like second class citizens. To add to the debacle, our room was just under the roof guttering, which leaked when it rained, our stay saw a lot of rain, thus, a lot of leaking from the gutter and pipe, causing the most annoying noise, we couldn't sleep the first night, I complained, we left after only one night, a refund was processed, not a full one I might add. It was the most disgusting place I have ever had the mis-pleasure of staying. All the way from liverpool, only to return 24 hours later.
