Stunning location, very friendly staff, beautiful building both externally and internally, clean.
The only thing that would improve the experience if you could open the window for some fresh air, but understand it’s not their fault.
Location and service mainly staff
Great hotel, good location and the staff were very helpful. Room service food was also excellent. Overall I would come back again and stay.
Service on the outdoor terrace was slow at times, no air conditioning in the rooms
We have often visited Fistral beach, but never had stayed at the Headland Hotel until this trip. We had wanted to for a while and wasn't not disappointed. The location is faultless. You are so close to everything in that immediate area. We also thoroughly enjoyed using the spa facilities and the terrace area. A truly relaxing atmosphere. The majority of the staff were attentive and helpful, although on our second morning we did have to wait a fair while for a staff member to come over and seat us for breakfast, but we appreciate that they were busy. While we did not have children or dogs with us, we did notice how well provided for they were.
Our only issue was with the room we booked. It was an 'interior room' which I hadn't noticed until just prior to arrival and on investigation an upgrade was nearly an extra £200 per night (I had got my hopes up when they sent us an email a few days before saying that upgrades were available for as little as £20). Normally we don't spend too much time in our hotel room, so initially we were happy to stay with the room we had selected. Understandably, the hotel does not have air conditioning in the bedrooms, and place an emphasis on opening the windows for a sea breeze. Sadly, we did not have this luxury as our windows opened onto an interior section and meant there was no real air flow. Our first night was uncomfortably warm (additionally so as I was 6 months pregnant). First thing the next morning we requested a fan at reception and was told someone would bring one up. By 8pm a fan still hadn't been delivered so we checked back with reception to be informed that there was a waiting list. When we pointed out that I was pregnant and we had an interior room, two gentlemen at reception went out of their way trying to track down a spare fan. In the end we did get one, which we were incredibly appreciative of, but only after some prodding. I understand supplying fans to all rooms may be a bit too much, but I would suggest in the future making sure that a fan is available in all rooms deemed 'interior rooms' particularly as they do not get access to sea breeze that other rooms will.
Amazing views from the hotel grounds
Bed could of been firmer.
