The bed was really comfy and the shower was great
Staff could sometimes be a bit friendlier and
Lovely spacious room with free standing bath and powerful shower. Enormous bed which was very comfy. Extra surprise to have a seating area with two comfy chairs. Even though the restaurant was very busy, I was feeling unwell and one of the waitresses brought some peppermint tea and crackers to the room for me (at no extra charge). The rooms are all very private from each other.
For us the location was ideal but the pub has nothing around it (the village is just houses) - this may not be the best for some travellers, definitely need a car.
Beautiful room and grounds.
Modern, new fresh rooms with huge bed.
Extra large bed, bath and walk in shower which were great. Loved the concept, the area is great for exploring Cornwall, village very quiet. Liked the private layout of the tack room, as we noticed others opened straight into bedrooms. Food lovely but expensive for the small portions. We liked the option to earn vouchers to spend on food and drink in lieu of room service. Lovely big fluffy towels.
Lacking in attention to detail, although high end facilities were advertised and provided in some elements... general tlc needed in some areas. The tack room could have done with a coat of paint, as several walls were marked, particularly in the bathroom..maybe tile around sink area...very low lighting in room, not sure if a bulb in ceiling light was out..bedside anglepoise lamps faulty and one badly chipped. Take clothes hangers as only 4 provided for 2 people for 7 days. Very little variety in buffet for breakfast, limited choice in juice and cereal although cooked to order options were plentiful and very nice.
