Pros: Absolutely amazing. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and we absolutely loved it. The hotel is in a great location, the room (room 8) was superb. Great views over porth beach and plenty of room including storage in the room. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was one of the most powerful showers we have ever used in a hotel. The added benefit of having a living and bedroom area meant that one of us could have a nap whilst the other was catching up on TV. As we visited out of season we knew we'd spend a lot of time in our room and we were not disappointed at all. The owner, Bath, even helpfully provided us with some board games and cards for our room. The continental breakfast was also great. Great choice and a great mix of healthy and fresh options. Our only negative was that we visited out of season so we were unable to experience the cooked food as we read so many good reviews about it. We would also like to the thank the Bath, Angie and their son for making our stay so lovely. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to say goodbye.

Pros: great breakfast
Cons: The sitting room for guests, although very spacious, felt little institutional and chilly. But it was a cold December day & I'm sure it would be great in the summer with the doors open onto the garden. The ensuite loo's door was wobbly and didn't really work properly.

Porth Veor Manor, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is just over a mile from Newquay, within easy walking distance of all the amenities it has to offer, but far enough away to act as a haven from the hustle! Prettily perched above Porth Beach, you can look forward to breathtaking views across to Trevose lighthouse. But if you fancy a stroll, our terrific terraced gardens flourish in the mild Cornish climate and a private path leads you to join the coastal route, with easy access to Porth beach below. The hotel building itself is a charming 19th Century manor, packed with original features such as our winding staircase and open fires. And as we're big on good taste, you'll find award winning locally sourced food in the relaxing interior of our restaurant too!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. The room was spotless and staff very attentive.
Cons: The evening meal was adequate but not exceptional. I only had a main course though so cannot comment on the starters and desserts
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, bedroom and public areas all clean and very comfortable. Nice little bar and lovely restaurant. In the morning we had a nice breakfast and there was plenty of choice (cooked food could have been hotter) views from restaurant and bar were lovely. The staff were all friendly and attentive. We had B&B which was great value. I definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again when down Newquay way.
Cons: We were really looking forward to dinner in the restaurant, my husband's food was excellent especially his fabulous fillet steak but my starter and main was expensive and disappointing. My scallop starter was 3 small pieces of a scallop (or they were the smallest scallops in the world) and 2 small pieces of black pudding, there was about 2 small mouthfuls of food in total for nearly £9 and tbh it didn't taste of much. My lemon sole main could have been good, but the lovely fish was served with big chunky veg and there was no sauce, so the whole meal was dry. I like veg but I don't want to eat plain veg with nothing on it.I spoke with the waitress, who said she'd let the chef know for next time - NEXT TIME! what about this time , I'm the person paying nearly £20 for the dish?? Anyway another waitress came over and offered to get me sauce, which she did, but honestly, it was too little too late. The next day when we checked out I was charged for my main course, I thought they should have taken it off the bill. I mentioned the issue to the receptionist and she said I'd have to put in writing - well here, I have.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful, relaxing and peaceful stay at the Hotel Tresanton. The location - facing the sea and stunning Roseland coastline was sublime. The rooms were very well appointed and tastefully decorated - and were spotlessly maintained every day. The staff were extremely polite, helpful and welcoming. Opening my French windows every morning to sit out in the sun and enjoy the fresh and soothing sea breeze was everything that was needed for a relaxing, yet indulgent holiday. I had not car, but had little trouble in getting around via the numerous Ferries from St Mawes and the excellent local bus service. I was staying in one of the cottage rooms apart from the hotel, which was wonderful for the secluded, restful break that I wanted. The breakfast was tasty and filling - fresh orange juice, croissants, toast and marmalade, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! So much choice, but cooked to perfection and serviced with courtesy and care.
Cons: That I had to go home!
7,5 Good
Pros: The location is great and it's easy to get t Yarmouth by ferry and the walking locally is lovely, food is also very good. Staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful
Cons: We have been before and I thought the hotel looked a little tired, the bathrooms a little worn and just a little frayed around the edges.

Pros: Style, location, view, service - just perfect
Cons: The bar could be in a better place

Pros: Friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent and the view from the breakfast room is lovely, our room and the bathroom was clean and tidy, the bed was comfy and the room was very warm.
Cons: There was an extractor fan below our room which made it difficult to sleep as it was quite noisy and was running all night. There were also two lights on outside (I do not think they were street lights as our room overlooked a back yard) the curtains in the room were very light which made it difficult to sleep well, a dark blind would help solve the problem.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great free parking. Very friendly staff. Lovely view. Handy location for nearby beach and the town center. Lots of electrical points in room. Large TV. Bathroom included a bath.
Cons: Mattress was too hard for both my wife and I, resulting in a poor night's sleep on both nights. Could just be personal preference but both our backs hurt afterwards. The cooked breakfast was bland/lacking in flavor for both my and my wife's tastes - I went for the continental options only on the second morning (which I had no problem with)...

Pros: The view was amazing and the location was also outstandingl. But the shower had no water pressure and the bedroom was nice but not luxurious, I expected more for the price of the hotel. We always seemed to speak to the chef, he was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the staff friendly. This hotel is definitely for long term repeat clients.

Pros: Food, service and location are superb.
Cons: two things could be improved. 1. part of the restaurant (at the far end with windows on both sides) has no (little) wifi signal. 2. The mixer shower in bathroom is difficult to get the temperature right. Either too hot or too cold.
