Pros: We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. This is no exception as we think it is better to enjoy local cafes than spend a lot of money on breakfasts in hotels. We generally get much better coffee outside of hotels! The quality of the dinner we had was excellent - except for one mishap - see below.

Cons: A few small things that can be improved:
1) in a five star Hotel I expect at least two free bottles of water every day
2) no Kleenex box in the bathroom
3) staff was overwhelmed during busy breakfast hours. Breakfast items running out fast and being replaced only very, very slowly and after asking for them.
4) staff answering incoming calls did not make any effort to locate us in the breakfast room when an international call came in for us.
As I said, nothing important, but should be improved.

Cons: we were advised at check in that there would maintenance at the property. not sure who thought this one through but it meant electricity was cut at 5am and all the emergency lights came on .. waking the whole hotel. would have been better if this work would have been scheduled later in the day when most guests are out of the hotel. our room although lovely had massive cobwebs. A small detail but the music in reception wasn't in keeping with the hotel

Cons: Only one bottle of complementary water in our bedroom and only on the day of arrival. This is the first Marriott hotel where I haven't had two bottles every night of my stay, and I've stayed in lots of Marriotts. Also, although there weren't many guests in the bar or the restaurant, the barman had to double as waiter on one night, which wasn't very satisfactory. My pork fillet was ordered 'medium' but came 'blue' (very rare) - mistakes happen I guess.

Cons: When driving, hotel was very, very hard to find in oldest part of Toledo (took us 1-1/2 hrs.), with steep hills, one-way streets; people on the streets didn't know of the hotel, or didn't know where it is; or didn't know how to get there by car. GPS had nervous breakfdown. Parking in the nearby garage was expensive (17 euros/night). This was the only Spanish hotel of eight we stayed in that didn't have a computer for use of guests. They advertise a spa, but only a very small exercise room is available free to guests; you can pay for a massage or sauna.

Cons: At night the streets of Toledo are full of young drunk British men and or unemployed. It can be a bit sketchy there at night and you definitely have to watch your back. All the tourists leave during the day.

It was very annoying the amount of noise Sunday morning at 9am: hotel staff can't be blamed if other customers do make noise but there was a lot of door knocking which I assume was for breakfast delivery to the rooms - knocking lasted for about one hour and was really loud. Pros: This central hostel was very nice, comfortable and had a beautiful rooftop to relax, make food and enjoy the views. The staff was also helpful, kind and helped you with anything. The room and bathroom I shared with 3 other people with no problem. The mattress on the beds was comfortable and despite the heat, the room also had air condition and good ventilation from the windows. I liked that the room had lockers and a wardrobe with enough space to place your suitcase with the other ones. I would repeat being here :) Easy to get in and out with a keycard, close to all the monuments, restaurants etc. People were extremely friendly! :D

The room and bathroom I shared with 3 other people with no problem. Cons: I was not so bothered, but there's small space to move around, a bit noisy when climbing up the stairs to the upper bed. Even though the rooms were cleaned each day, there was still a lot of dust in the room. Since the hostel lays right next to bars and restaurants etc. there can be some noise at night, but it was not overwhelmingly for me.

Cons: It just seemed a little flat, one lady on reception, no one at the bar area, you needed to go to reception and request a drink, my partner wanted to take a bottle of cava to our room for us to enjoy in the room but we were told that we hadn't reserved this. I have never experienced this before in a hotel. The bar man had to keep running up the stairs and seemed to be doing more than one job. Other guests were frustrated. So l didn't get my sparkling wine and settled for a glass of warm rather horrid vino, such a shame as Spain is famous for good wine. Another guest took his drink to his room and said lve waited long enough for it! Whilst waiting for my drink l perused the brochure for eurostar hotel's and they said your holiday experience is our priority, it didn't feel like that to us. I was glad we got a good offer as l would have been very unhappy to pay the full amount.

Pros: The King bed, the fantastic view, the A/C. I found the old city quite claustrophobic, so the location outside the city walls, was ideal in most respects. The walk to the old footbridge is 15 mins downhill - get a taxi back! Be warned - Toledo is hilly. Take time to do the river walk (1 hr) between the old footbridges. Lovely, morning walk.

Pros: A first class Hotel outside Toledo's frenetic maze of streets and yet within easy travel by bus or if late at night, by taxi. The best rooms with large tiled terrace overlooking Toledo are well worth the additional payment. Car parking very good and in addition to the Hotel's facilities there is an excellent Restaurant within ten minutes walk. Finally the Staff are extremely friendly and efficient.

Cons: Arnljótur Arnarson. We bought standard room with king size bed for 3 nights paying 90£ per night. Buying room in 4 star rated hotel you don´t expect to be put in a celler. In a room with small window faceing a wall. This room 114 should be priced down a lot. When we complain we were informed that the hotel was full, but we could try to talk to the staff the day after. In my opinion should the staff, if they care about their customer offer them to change roomms, and in my mind giving a discount, when they knew about our wish to change from this 114 celler room.

Pros: After several hours driving on an extremely hot day, we arrived at this perfectly located hotel next to the Escalleras Mecánicas (Toledo escalators) which are extremely useful to get to the old part of town in 2 minutes for free, making the hotel a great base for exploring the area. The room was renovated recently, it was spacious, nice, very comfortable, with good AC and extremely clean. The staff was nice and helpful giving us maps and hints on what to see. The private parking was handy.

Also the internet connection was too weak in my room, Nbr 229. So I sat near the elevator to upload my photos where I was cooler and the internet was stronger.

Cons: Very rude and discriminatory unhelpful reception service the morning after check in. I was travelling with a disabled companion and asked the receptionist some taxi/bus information for our onward journey. The receptionist stated she was not a bus stop and I was not a guest in the hotel (she never asked just assumed ). Very judgmental and unkind it should not matter if I was a guest or not, the fact that I was makes the situation unforgivable . Very obstructing also when my travelling companion requested a complaints form. She also physically assaulted me and threatened my travelling companion . Authorities were called who assisted us further, and explained we had cause to lodge an official complaint. Not good.

Pros: I liked being close to the site-seeing spots. It was easy to access the hotel and we parked for a reduced fee in the nearby parking garage with hotel validation. It was super hot so it was great that hotel had air conditioning. Staff was friendly especially at the restaurant for breakfast. The room had a beautiful view but we had to pay a little extra for that(all that was left when we reserved).

Pros: Room was a good size for our family of four, I seems to remember we had two bathrooms. Enjoyed the included breakfast and attached restaurant. They has a couple of close by parking spaces for unloading and loading of your vehicle. We parked in the underground community lot a few hundred yards away from the hotel without issues. Once parked we never needed our vehicle.

Pros: I liked being close to the site-seeing spots. It was easy to access the hotel and we parked for a reduced fee in the nearby parking garage with hotel validation. It was super hot so it was great that hotel had air conditioning. Staff was friendly especially at the restaurant for breakfast. The room had a beautiful view but we had to pay a little extra for that(all that was left when we reserved).

Pros: The staff could not have been more helpful. Their recommendations of what to see & do on such a flying visit, & of where to eat, were spot on. Brilliant!! Would stay here again at the drop of a hat.

Pros: Room was a good size for our family of four, I seems to remember we had two bathrooms. Enjoyed the included breakfast and attached restaurant. They has a couple of close by parking spaces for unloading and loading of your vehicle. We parked in the underground community lot a few hundred yards away from the hotel without issues. Once parked we never needed our vehicle.
Cons: Was a nice place for a single night, we had no difficulties or issues.

Pros: This hotel is excellently located to facilitate exploration of the old parts of Toledo. It's a bit of a climb up the hill to the bridge over the river. However once across the river find the car park part way up the hill and escalators take you to the top and all the sights, a godsend on a hot day. We travelled into Toledo from the South and found the hotel very easily. Pre booked secure parking (12euros a night) was a good choice we thought. Parking is within the hotel garage accessed via electronic doors from the street. The hotel is quaint with a notable selection of tiled walls. We received a warm welcome from front office staff, indeed all staff encountered, and were soon in our room. Air con operates efficiently and we were comfortable in a big bed on a warm night. Breakfast is taken in a small room adjacent to the Reception area. On offer was plentiful basic fayre. As much as you needed with decent coffee. The hotel was clean and the lift to all floors operated without issue. Getting out of the aforementioned garage could be a bit tight if the place was fully occupied albeit because we were departing on a Sunday morning we could back into the road outside without causing too many horns to sound.

Cons: We thought that the facilities in our room did not really correspond to the rate we were charged. We opted for a sort of suite with a bedroom and bathroom separated by a little sitting room, This room was so tiny that to be honest it seemed to be a bit superfluous. Go for a regular double room!! The TV in the bedroom was also tiny with limited channels and certainly nothing for English speaking clients not even the news, I know we are in Spain, and we do speak some Spanish, but the absence of any English channels was a bit of a surprise, The lighting in the room was extremely harsh and we thought unecessarily so. This stark approach to providing light rather marred what we thought was a pretty decent bathroom,

Cons: Heating system in my room was very noisy and disturbed my sleep! Breakfast was cleared up too early, coffee machine cleaned and switched off at 10 when breakfast should have been served till 10.30.
