Cons: A few small things that can be improved:
1) in a five star Hotel I expect at least two free bottles of water every day
2) no Kleenex box in the bathroom
3) staff was overwhelmed during busy breakfast hours. Breakfast items running out fast and being replaced only very, very slowly and after asking for them.
4) staff answering incoming calls did not make any effort to locate us in the breakfast room when an international call came in for us.
As I said, nothing important, but should be improved.

Cons: Wine list in restaurant could be more extensive. We had a premium room which was well appointed except it would benefit from dispensing with the bidet and instead having a dedicated shower stall rather than an in-the-bath shower - there is room in the bathroom to include a separate shower if the bidet is removed. Finally - minor gripe - but the bar/breakfast room/main salon music is a compilation of covers well known songs - which were pretty much murdered by the cover artists - play the originals if you’re going to play anything!

Cons: When driving, hotel was very, very hard to find in oldest part of Toledo (took us 1-1/2 hrs.), with steep hills, one-way streets; people on the streets didn't know of the hotel, or didn't know where it is; or didn't know how to get there by car. GPS had nervous breakfdown. Parking in the nearby garage was expensive (17 euros/night). This was the only Spanish hotel of eight we stayed in that didn't have a computer for use of guests. They advertise a spa, but only a very small exercise room is available free to guests; you can pay for a massage or sauna.

Cons: At night the streets of Toledo are full of young drunk British men and or unemployed. It can be a bit sketchy there at night and you definitely have to watch your back. All the tourists leave during the day.

Pros: This hotel is so convenient place to short walk distance to major sites. If you drive a car, ask a hotel in advance which parking place to park the car. Hotel provided me a discount ticket for that particular parking. Stuff was so friendly. View from the top of the hotel was so nice. I will recommend to go to the roof to take a look.

Cons: It was a Christmas eve, so I have heard a lot of talking on the street, however, I feel that this is a special occasion only. Other than that, I don't have any complain.

Cafe next to hotel where you can eat a light breakfast if you do not fancy the hotel buffet or a quick tapas/beer at night. Staff very friendly and attentive. Traveling with small children, we would have prefer rooms with an adjoining door, but not sure they have them and hotel was pretty full ... nevertheless, rooms were next to each other and overall it was a great experience.

Cons: No food available on the 31st of December after 5pm. Nothing, not even a drink. Also only one staff member present 24 hours in busy hotel. The management should consider the guests even on NYE, or at least inform incoming guests more. The restaurant attached was also closed 1st January. Hospitality work includes unsocial hours.

Pros: The two receptionist we encountered were both really lovely and welcoming. The hostel was a great place to meet other travellers. The communal kitchen on the terrace was a big bonus, great if you want to avoid eating out. It's also a lovely place to hang out, with a beautiful and calming view of Toledo's roof's and churches.

About 15 mins walk from bus station, and prepare yourself for dragging on the cobblestone if you are carrying luggage with wheels. kitchen has free coffee and tea/microwave and toast machine stuff, but I don't see stove, so actually there's no way to do real cooking. I don't mind these, I enjoyed my stay.

Pros: This hotel worked out very well for us, especially considering we arrived by car and there was parking available outside with minimal hassles. The room was truly spacious and had fantastic views of Toledo and Alcazar. Although not in the main historic centre on the hill, it is a short walk to the escalators that take you up there, so there was no issues at all doing the sightseeing on foot. Facilities and bed were fine, staff helpful and the breakfast spread was also fine.

Also the internet connection was too weak in my room, Nbr 229. So I sat near the elevator to upload my photos where I was cooler and the internet was stronger.

We especially enjoyed watching the people on the plaza going about their daily lives as well as the two demonstrations that took place during our stay. The hotel was conveniently located so we could walk to all of the attractions that interested us. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all our questions even though we speak no Spanish and they sometimes had to struggle to understand us.

Cons: Arnljótur Arnarson. We bought standard room with king size bed for 3 nights paying 90£ per night. Buying room in 4 star rated hotel you don´t expect to be put in a celler. In a room with small window faceing a wall. This room 114 should be priced down a lot. When we complain we were informed that the hotel was full, but we could try to talk to the staff the day after. In my opinion should the staff, if they care about their customer offer them to change roomms, and in my mind giving a discount, when they knew about our wish to change from this 114 celler room.

Cons: The decor was really tired and could do with an update. We booked the room with a hot tub and the jets didn’t work and the shower overhead was awkward to get in and out of and slippery. The breakfast wasn’t great, I wouldn’t bother paying for that. The waiter was very unwelcoming and ignored us for a good ten minutes. We went to a lovely restaurant nearby for dinner and came back to the hotel to have a nightcap in the bar. There is no bar! We asked if as residents we could have a drink in the restaurant and the very waiter rudely told us no. For £122 for one night we didn’t feel it was good value for money. We usually stay at the Eurostar Palacio which is wonderful and cheaper!

Pros: My and I like this hotel. It is very close to the Toledo Railroad station and is about 20 minute easy walk to the town. Breakfast is small and good. Parking can be in the hotel lot for a fee, or just park down the block at the public parking area. The residents do that and it very safe. We did it for two days and even with the rental car sticker the car was fine. A-OK Staff is limited with English, but very respectful and helpful. Housekeeping is good. Bathrooms are clean and rooms are comfortable.

Cons: Toledo is on a large hill. There are pedestrian escalators going into the old town. When they are out of service it is exceptional hard to get back down off the hill. Signage in the town is not that easy to follow and all but impossible at night. Obviously, this is not the hotels fault but is something the traveler should be aware of .

Cons: Air conditioning didn’t work, and rooms were heated instead of cooled. The room was so hot that the windows had to be opened all night. When the staff member came to look at the temperature they had to take their jacket off because it was like a sauna. Main light in the room did no work on the first night. Parking is a long long way from the hotel. It is secure but expensive, and if you want to come and go more that once with the car each day you have to pay on every exit. Very hard to find using directions. Car park almost impossible to find with out finding the hotel first and asking them. The room was noisy throughout the night.
