Your credit card requirements are ridiculous. If you want this stupid system, have a way to check the credit card before the customer shows up. Requiring credit cards that have chips with the person's name who booked the car is strange. It cost us money, time and anxiety. Will ensure to not book work you or Hertz again.Reviewed Sept 14 2024

Just a note for other travellers, there is no petrol station in the Airport. The nearest one is 10 km so fill the tank before you arrive. Luckily we had plenty of time :)Reviewed Sept 11 2024

At time of pickup, was advised of 2 hours wait time. No cars available. Ended up having to upgrade to a much more expensive available car. There were approximately 15 customers in the same situation with no cars available.Reviewed Sept 10 2024

I wanted to make an adjustment to my pick up time at Vancouver but as I had booked through an agent I could not get Thrifty recognise my booking either by phone or through the web portal. Very frustrating nit to be able to talk to a human and explain my situation.Reviewed Sept 10 2024

They had a 1.5 hour line and were out of the car type we reserved. They advised us to come back the next day and even then they didn’t have the car we reserved. So we ended up having to make a new reservation with a different company.Reviewed Sept 10 2024

We booked thrifty via a third party so we could pay in advance and when we arrived there were so many people there to pick up a car that we were put on a wait list, only to find out they ended up running out of cars (lucky we had gone to a different place to see if we could get one, although we paid over double what the original rental from Thrifty was meant to be). The employees at Thrifty Albuquerque were apologetic and tried to help, but said there was nothing they could do because the third party companies reserve cars without knowing the amount of inventory available. Whether this is a Thrifty problem, or a problem with the rental car business (esp 3rd party) overall, I’m not sure but it shouldn’t be this way and I’ve never had this problem before, so there should be some oversight for car reservations - especially those that have been prepaid as we are now having to fight with the third party (Qeek) to get our money back.Reviewed Sept 9 2024
