Pros: I would like to thank Yotam who works at the reception and when I checked in and saw there were only top bunks available, he relocated me to a new room. An extra effort they don't have to do, but the staff is giving their best for everyone to feel welcome and happy. Thanks for the great experience!

Breakfast was amazing! Lots of options and love having bottomless cappuccino or espresso. Not many hostels offer breakfast over several hours that are actually convenient for travelers, so I greatly appreciated that it started at 6:45am. Even the sheer amount of dining space available was great, with options for cafeteria style seating or something more cozy.
Also loved having a door-to-door shuttle between Abraham Hostels, which made my transfer to the hostel in Jerusalem effortless, particularly with baggage that would've been a hassle on public transport. Abraham Tours are also 10% off with any hostel stay, and I booked one already affordable tour in advance with this discount. Fairly certain I will be doing 1-2 more!

Cons: The whole journey was good until I came back to China and found that I lost my money in this hotel. And I am sure it was stolen by someone in this hotel. I’d like to share my experience so that you could avoid that terrible thing. I stayed at the hotel Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel for 5 nights in December 2019. During this period, I did not spent money so the dollar which was changed in my country was always in an envelope. And I did not check my money every day. After I come back to China, I checked my money in the envelope in a small handbag and found that there is only 1000 dollars which should be 1300 dollars. 3 cashes was missing. And 200 Sheq. was missing too. The handbag was put in a suitcase in the hotel’s room which was unlocked during the period. At the beginning, I thought maybe I lost the money somewhere by accident. But after I communicated with my colleagues and found that the same thing happened to one of my companions. He had 1000 dollars in an envelope and this envelope was put in his room only one day. He found there was only 700 dollars in the envelope after he come back to China. We are both sure that we did not open the envelope during the trip. And it couldn’t be stolen by others outside the hotel. Because if we were stolen outside the hotel, the thief should take all the money and the envelope. That’s all. Hope this kind of thing would not happen on you.

Pros: This hotel makes a great effort to make you feel welcome and comfortable. For example, they provide a small treat every day in the lobby like warming soup or a hot drink. (In winter) Also free delicious coffee and tea 24 hours a day. Rooftop patio is beautiful....location is right near the beach (ocean view) and helpful frontdesk staff.

Cons: Regarding breakfast, I ordered sunny side up eggs - was a bit too crispy for me. Another time I ordered an omelet, it was a bit dry. There were a lot of things on the breakfast table which I didn't know. Maybe some labels next to the food would be helpful. Having a microwave was great but would be even better if maybe there was at least a microwavable dish available?

Cons: We spent a night before our wedding in the hotel and needed to have express dry cleaning, we were told that it would be ready next day at 2pm but when we came to give the clothes we were told that it won't be ready until 4 which is too late as we had to leave the hotel around 3 already.
We have asked for iron as well and the one given did not work and ironing board was broken. We were offered to have our clothes ironed and we had to pay for it, even though we would expect to have it as a complimentary service as the provided facilities did not work and we were misinformed regarding dry cleaning service as well.
Not so many guests usually need these kind of things when they stay in the hotel but the problems we faced using this services were quite an issue in our situation

Cons: I had the worst experience in my whole life at this hotel! I have been humiliated and treated very bad by the staff members. After a late night out, I came with my boyfriend back to the hotel and the people at the reception stopped us and didn t let us go through. The room was booked on my name, and they just assummed it’s my boyfriend’s room, then called me a prostitute. They didn’t even bother to ask what is the room number, or my name, they just stopped me and told me to wait for their manager. Some other hotel guests were in the lobby and could listen how they told me I am a prostitute even though the booking was on my name, and was paid with my company card! The way they treat their clients is horrible and not normal. Their behaviour was racist and really offensive. On top of all that, at the check out they overcharged me around 200€ , saying that the currency exchange is different every day. So I was supposed to pay 1000€ but I ended up paying 1200€. What a ripoff! I am sure many of you can relate to my story.

The hotel is based around being art-friendly, and local artists have installations in the hotel lobby, hallways, and rooms. The roof has an amazing garden and is a great place to hang out. We had a great room with a little kitchenette and balcony overlooking a very cute, quiet courtyard. The bathroom was luxurious; it had a nice sized tub (with shower), dead sea salts, and robes. The hotel had parking on site for a very reasonable rate (55 shekels for us). There's a great looking cafe on the premises, though we did not get a chance to try it.

Cons: Dispite that fact this hotel is called Diaghilev, there is nothing about Diaghilev except one sentence in their menu. do not expect any interesting style or personalization. Perhaps the owners think that they can double the price for "Diaghilev LOFT" in the name of the hotel. Ordinary Israeli hotel with poor quality renovation and cheap style, expecially for that price. Rooms look inside like old tel aviv apartment, ragged tiles, dirty walls, abnormally soft crushed bed. It was impossible to use hot water in the bathroom because of the thin shower faucet that burned my hands. there was shower gel and shampoo in the room, but there was no hand soap The balcony was without a roof or any other tent. It was raining and the tile on the balcony was wet and my husband slipped. We rented one of the expensive rooms, there was not even a coffee maker in the room, and instant coffee was the cheapest in Israel, it was not even coffee, but dust. I would be ashamed to leave it to my guests. Also we ordered a room with breakfast. Don't do this mistake. I waited for my breakfast for 1 hour. I ordered eggs with waffles. At first they just brought me eggs. Then just waffles. Then, in the end, the staff coped with this simple task and brought me breakfast exactly one hour after it started. The quality of the breakfast was low. I felt sorry for the people around, because for the same price you could get an excellent breakfast 10 meters from the hotel This hotel is not worth the money, it was our wedding anniversary and now I really regret that I chose this hotel.

Pros: I loved the personal attention to every little detail that we received from Noa Naki, the public relations coordinator. She went to extra lengths to make sure our stay was simply sublime. As soon as I wrote her that we‘ll be celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary she surprised us by upgrading our room to a fabulous suite with sea views at no extra charge! She personally took me up to the suite and showed me around the immaculately clean and spacious suite. Later in the day she had a bottle of champagne and chocolates delivered with a personal note. We felt like VIPs. The hotel is situated right on the promenade and the beach and is within walking distance to the Tel Aviv port. The lobby and restaurant face the sea and everything is beautiful, full of nostalgic yet modern decor reminiscent of old Tel Aviv. The breakfast was very good and the selection in the business center on the 17th floor was also very tasteful. We will definitely come back.

Cons: Unfortunately we will not have a good memories from this hotel. Firstly when we checked in lady from the reception made a mistake and charged us twice for our stay... secondly we booked ‘luxury room with sea view’ but unfortunately we get random room with street view :( of course we asked for change but we get different room next day. Last but not least when we checked out we realized that they charged us for the Tax and they shouldn’t- lady from the reception told us that we will receive our money for the next day - we are still waiting for this refund...

Cons: We ordered and paid for a "deluxe triple room for 3 adults". The room only had one bed and then a sofa. The room should not have been advertised for 3 adults but more for a family (of which there were family rooms which were identical). Breakfast was not good.

Pros: The location was perfect!! I was close to the beach, to dizengoff center, and multiple buses so that I could get around easily. The staff were super helpful and kind. The room was clean and there even chocolates on the bed, such a nice touch!
Cons: I didn't realize that the bar closed earlier than 10:30pm (which was the closing time listed on the paper from the hotel). I couldn't use my drink ticket that they gave me. Other than that, I had a wonderful stay there.

Pros: Wonderful hotel, one block back from the beach. As guests we were a bit of a nightmare when we arrived, we misjudged our arrival time and got to the hotel hours and hours earlier than check-in. The team at the hotel could not have been nicer. They went out of their way to look after us and even arranged somewhere for us to rest while they got our room ready. Just brilliant. The location is excellent if you want to be near the beach and only 12 minutes taxi ride away from the centre of everything. The reception team were so helpful. Michael, in particular suggested lovely restaurants and booked everything in for us. The room was gorgeous. Really stylish. There was a big storm while we were there and we didn't mind staying in the room while it passed as everything was very comfortable. The spa was great - we both had a massage and it was certainly as good as any I have had in London. My partner likes to use the gym and as the hotel didn't have one on site they had arranged free access to private gym 2 minutes walk away. It was large and had every piece of equipment you might need. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. It was really lovely - with thoughtful touches such as beach towels/bags and water each day. Fresh apples in the room and a bottle of wine on arrival, but it was the service that really stood out.

But it worked well and they have a menu system instead of a buffet, which makes it easy for them to run the place as people don’t need to move around so much. The staff basically bring you anything you want, and there is a good variety so in a way it was nicer than most places.

Cons: I was told I was being upgraded to a larger room which meant they put me in the basement (didn’t realize it was a basement until I open the blinds and saw dirt and a sewer grate. Anyway, it was musty and to top it all of these cockroaches kept finding their way onto the bed. I also heard the staff mocking a guest who complained about the smell of her room after they got off the phone with her. It really was an insane experience.

We had a nice surprise when we entered the room because on the table was a welcome gift from the Hotel (a box of Israeli Pralines and a big bottle of water). The Location of the hotel is perfect. It is situated 1 min away from the beach. In a 40-min walk on the beach you can arrive to the old City of Jaffa. On a 10-min walk from the hotel you arrive in a very nice part of Tel-Aviv full with Restaurants and bars. The breakfast was also very rich. It did not contain meat, expect fish, but that was not a Problem because there was a large variety from which you could choose. A nice surprise for us, was also that the hotel offers everyday a free brunch where you can enjoy coffee, tea, Croissants, cakes, biscuits and fruits.

Pros: Location, location, location!!! Perfect! The room was a bit small but we loved the balcony! The view was terrific. We enjoyed watching the beach games like vollyball from our room! The staff was nice and helped us with anything we asked.

Cons: Some levels are renovated others are still from the 80'ties - I stayed on the 11th floor which is not renovated and this is clearly notable. It is a shame they put people in rooms on these floors and still charge the normal standard rate. Staying on these levels should come with a discount as they do not live up to a reasonable 4-5 star hotel expectation. I mentioned to the reception that I didn't like my room and the outdated level I was staying on. I also mentioned that I knew that there were plenty of rooms free on the renovated floors (source booking) and that I didn't understand why they would not ask the guests if they wanted to be upgraded? Anyway both times I mentioned my irritation at the front desk, the reaction was very defensive as in; Yes, but these rooms are normally fully booked... Just a tip from my side: just listen to the customer and acknowledge the issue. Anyway, I didn't make a big deal out of it as I didn't feel like arguing that much however I did send an email and received a reply with the same defensive explanation but with the comment that next time I could contact the sender and would be booked in the renovated rooms. Cons: We have visited this hotel a few times. We assumed(incorrectly) that as this Hotel was part of the Isrotel chain ,the hotel had aKASHRUT CERTIFICATE. .We were very disappointed to find out that it has not such a certificate. "Because they cook omelettes on Shabbat". There are many alternatives to omelettes ,as other hotels in your chain are able to serve. Please consider a Kashrut certificate ,otherwise we shall be unable to return.

Cons: We booked a Seaview room, it looked nothing like the view advertised on booking.com. Probably 20% of the view was the sea, the rest was of tall buildings and huge crane (see the photo attached). I complained to the reception manager but unfortunately she wasn't very customer focused. She told me she would get back to me to see what she could do, but I had to chase her hours later for a response. Even when I called up, instead of speaking to me directly she did so via another reception staff until I asked to speak to her directly. At no point was I rude so I don't understand her behaviour Team Reception team in general are more like 2 star than 4 star hotel (bad manager bad staff etc). You get an unfriendly welcome and it's difficult to get basic information from them. For example details about parking, where breakfast is, where the lifts are and how much deposit they take on your credit card. This was the first time we stayed in a hotel in Israel and we thought maybe that's the way it works. However, when we got to Jeruselum all the hotel staff were amazing. So maybe it's just the Isrotel Brand that don't care about their guests.

Cons: I had my headphones stolen from my room. I met with hotel security and was consistently told that they were looking into it, but 2 days later have still not seen action. I will be disputing the charges for Kt last nights stay.
Showed them my travel cars on the last day and have not received my refund for the travel tax.
Beds were uncomfortable and same quality as a kibbutz. Room was not clean as well as there was hair in my bed and the shower and sink were dirty. Not worth the money and would advise against others staying there.
Staff appears nice, but couldn’t do anything without manager approval and did nothing to resolve the issues of the tax and stolen headphones.

This hotel would struggle to be 3 star, let alone 5. Clearly being managed into the ground. Avoid.

Cons: The staff seemed to be completely uninterested or incapable of answering questions or providing the kind of service one expects when staying in a luxury hotel. No one greeted us or offered any information. It makes me question the management and what the working conditions are like. Also, the breakfast and food in general was really expensive and poor quality when compared to the excellent level of food to be found around Tel-Aviv. Do yourself a favor and reserve a table at Mashya for breakfast. There is no beach entrance in the winter, which was not mentioned when we booked the hotel. In general, everyone working there seemed really unhappy and if you are someone who is sensitive to human energy, I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Cons: Horrible pool with broken roof, renovation works although IHG customer support said beforehand otherwise. Elevators broke down on one day, a fire broke out two floors below us the next day. Hotel-customer-communication was in all those cases very poor, so we cut our stay short and got IHG points as a „sorry“.

I found the attending manager to be extremely inappropriate and sexist in his interactions with me. Hotel seems old and the main restaurant closed before 8pm. Breakfast was mediocre and several of the items on the buffet tasted off. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Comfortable bed, spacious room. Very good breakfast with a great variety. Just in front of promenade, but quite far from old Jaffa.
Cons: Very expensive rooms. No complimentary water (in all other hotels we received) and the one from minibar costs 18 shekels (almost 5 EUR) which is unacceptable for water. It is a small thing, but also makes a difference.

Pros: Bed was amazing. We slept like babies and very well.
Cons: We stayed one night only. The reception desk looks poor and dirty, messy. The mirrors above not clean. Personal not organized. We were waiting for check in too long. Both receptionists were dealing with the issues with other clients while 3 persons were waiting for easy and check in. Wellness open till 19:00? Crazy. Standard is till 21:00 as minimum. In the morning we went outside and at 10 we came back and were not able to open the door (before check out which is at 11). We had to go to reception twice to solve it.

Cons: 1. The pictures are a lie. The apartments are very old and nothing like in the pictures. I booked a luxury suite but didn't get that. I was asked to upgrade to a better suite - but still nothing near my expectations. I told the employee that he had a "very good photographer.." but he didn't answer. 2. The rooms are small. 3. They are not clean and I will try to add some pictures asap. But there was rubbish outside the doors. 4. The place was so loud - I woke up nearly every two hours. It was also warmer outside than inside. 5. We paid for parking in advance in the opera building but on the final day, it said that we didn't pay enough?

Cons: They told booking.com the issue of the rain inside the room from the window was fixed: all they did was to put a towel under the window. We have slept at the place the first night and we couldn't stay any longer: it was raining inside, the window was just above the bed and because of the wind and the water from outside we couldn't sleep all night long. As mentioned to booking.com the weather forecast, unfortunately, was really bad for the entire time of our holiday with heavy rain and storm: this was making the apartment impossible to be used. The leaking problem was also inside the bathroom as from attachment and please notice that the bathroom was way below the quality standard guaranteed by booking.com (it looks like more of a "service bathroom" than a "residence hotel suite bathroom" as from property advert) - the whole property is just below decent standards: I use a lot booking.com and I really can confirm that this is not meeting the health & hygiene standards. The property has shown me 5 more rooms in two different of their buildings and they present the same standards and 3 of them also the same issues with water leaking inside. We have paid more than a thousand euros for this reservation and I even paid 300 $ more for an upgrade as a proof that I really made an effort to find a solution but unfortunately there was nothing much to do than move to another hotel at our own expenses. I really still hope that the property gives me back part of the money: we spent 5.514 ILS, I am willing to pay for the first night so please give me back 5.000 ILS.
