Cons: For five star hotel little bit too much waiting in the check-in and to the breakfast. Breakfast was nice but it would have been wonderfull to get some specialties (small cocktail type pastries and portions). Ladies would also appreciate more light in the toilet (for make-up).

Cons: the property smells like hospital, windows do not open and overall it requires a facelift both for the staff and for the fixtures (I've stayed there over 10 years ago and nothing has changes except for wearing down); excellent sauna with old town view but again, you cannot charge it to the room and need your own bathrobe. moreover bathrobe was not available in the room and was not made available even when requested. there's definitely room for improvement

Cons: Windows not possible to open. No chance to get fresh air in. Breakfast: the annoying, stressy music made us want to leave. In a four star town hotel one can expect to get fresh bread for breakfast. 3 times we went to breakfast and 2 times there was no fresh bread. I asked and got answer: no! We don't have fresh bread ... Only toast bread.

Cons: There was a problem with the drains in the floor of the bathroom and the overwhelming smell of sewage permeated the whole bedroom and bathroom continually during my stay, day and night. Very unpleasant. (Room 306). My friend in room 308 had the same problem but not nearly as badly. Otherwise the hotel was excellent.

Cons: Every other day while staying there. Our room was cleaned except the bathroom. I had to go to the desk to ask them to change our towels or ask for toilet paper because there was non left. After a long day of exploring the city that’s the last thing I wanted to do is ask for things that should of been done before I got to my room. And nobody apologized and had to pay full price/rate those days.

Cons: The service was poor, there were less staff at the reception desk, which is very inconvenient as the hotel is really huge. They hardly had lotions or bath slippers at the room. We just had to ask every time. Moreover, no one takes up the reception call and is very annoying at points.

Cons: Ordinarily access to the gym is free and open to hotel residents. I was made to pay for facilities that should be availed to hotel residents, something very different from other hotels I have stayed. I also got to know that access to the small pool is at a fee. When I chose this hotel online, I had seen the pool not knowing I should pay for it over and above the accommodation fee.

Cons: Some rooms still needs some update, but you can also stay in Metropol spa if you want new rooms. Not much to complain about as i know the value for money when you stay here.

Pretty nice accommodations inside the room, with new paint, a hot shower, minibar with fridge space for a few things of your own, etc. Staff is super helpful, and was great to call a cab for me, print boarding passes, etc.

Pros: Excellent location right in the heart of the old town. Building has a lot of history to it, loved the wooden beams in the ceiling and the maze of corridors and stairways. Stayed in late nov/ early dec and the room was plenty warm enough - even heated floor in the bathroom! Breakfast was an amazing spread, plenty of choice, a good start to each day. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in Tallinn.

Cons: For our room, we swiped our cards and entered at ground level but the actual room was up some private stairs on the next level, meaning we had no choice but to carry all our luggage up a pretty narrow and steep flight of stairs; no elevator.
We had a queen bed, and is the case in many low-cost european hotels, this is really two twin beds stuck together with a bridging pad. Not a huge issue, but it is not as comfortable as the real deal. Worse was the fact that the comforter was also two very small comforters rather than a single large blanket, which made the blanket wars particularly fierce.
The rooms are also pretty cold. We froze our butts off the first night with the heater on max before discovering a space heater in the wardrobe, which we subsequently ran on max to keep it 72ish in the room.
Probably our biggest complaint was the breakfast. It is much lower quality food than you will find at comparably priced hotels elsewhere, i.e. the cold cuts won't include any smoked salmon or fancier cheeses, and the meat is like budget processed deli ham versus salami and quality cold cuts. Croissants and similar items are available but are lower quality than in the other hotels we stayed in. And worst of all, the amount of seating in the breakfast room is totally inadequate. They had about 7 tables, and there were frequently 20+ people eating, meaning that we all had to share tables with strangers and were constantly bumping into one another when we got up for coffee or whatever. This is a fine hotel, but we won't stay here again.

The bathroom was literally a narrow corridor, with the toilet at the end and the shower halfway through taking the whole width... Uncomfortable beds (apparently, they have only twin beds that join together, or so we are told) and matress about 5 cm high

Cons: The first room we were allocated had a horrible smell. When speaking to reception they said water needed to be poured down the shower drain. We did point out that if this was known they should be dealing with the problem. The smell was like a dead rat. We asked to be moved, but had to pay a supplement.

Cons: Could do with more seating when it’s gets busy at breakfast, but that’s the constraint of a small historical building. One note, if you stay in 402 beware the low ceilings! The shower in that room is also unfortunately short... be prepared to have a bath instead!

Cons: We arrived around 15-20 minutes before check-in at the hotel. And our receptionist looked at us as if wondering what we did there at the hotel? It did not feel pleasant. And when we were checking in he said rather unpolitely that the check in is at 14:00. He did not handle the situation professionally. Turned out that he had a hangover from the previous night. We found out about that when he was talking with some girl at the reception. Breakfast was not that impressive. The coffee machine was broken (it worked the previous time) and the coffee was rather cold.

Cons: The problem in my room (first floor) was that there's a lot of noise from the nightclub right next to it. Open until 5 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Impossible to sleep, at least not well. I recommend spending a few bucks more and stay in another hotel.
