Pros: Great breakfast with a lot of options and quality products. Staff was very helpful with the luggage. The room was had a great view and was very comfortable with a lounge area almost as if we were at home.
Cons: Nothing to add here, to be honest. Perhaps the price but you pay for what you get.
6,8 Good
Cons: Everything was very over priced

Pros: Resort ground was nested in the surrounding hills and forests. Bike and run trails through the golf course and forest. Comfortable bed and pillow. Large gin selection at the main bar. Friendly and helpful staff all around.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Best customer service ever experienced,. Rooms and food were fantastic
Cons: EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Every staff member was so welcoming, courteous, professional and friendly. Food was delicious and always presented in a lovely way. Room was spacious and we had a wonderful view as the location is fantastic. Our first few days were definitely 5* quality and even though we made a complaint about the lack of notice of building work, and subsequent continuous noise within an adjacent room, the staff were so apologetic and continued to maintain their high standards.
Cons: Ask if they have any room building work or maintenance planned during your stay as they didn’t notify us of any work being carried out in an adjacent room and the noise was very disturbing for our last couple of days.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful facility with an excellent staff we would absolutely go back and the views were breathtaking
Cons: Wouldn’t change anything great stay
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The room and pools were fantastic
Cons: Didn’t understand the payment method they kept trying to take thousands of pounds from my account
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and all three of our rooms had great views with a balcony. The breakfast was fabulous! The workout facilities and pools were some of the best we have experienced in Europe. Friendly staff. Lovely location in the rolling hills of Sintra.
Cons: Unlike me to post negatively but I feel it's necessary considering this is labeled a 5 Star resort. As long time fans of Ritz Carlton hotels and their attention to service and details, we were not impressed. First of all, it took more than an hour to check in (no line, fully staffed). They couldn't locate our 3rd reservation even though I had the reservation confirmation numbers (2 thru booking.com, 1 thru Bonvoy). After AN HOUR wait, we were given 2 of our rooms with still no word on the 3rd. A short while later and super frustrated, I returned to reception and asked for a manager, at that time they finally were able to locate the reservation. I cannot remember the managers name but she was apologetic and said if we needed anything at all she would help to accommodate. She was great and also comped our dry cleaning for the inconvenience. Another minus for the property was the lounge being understaffed especially for the amount of people in the hotel at the time. Long waits for cocktails and food. On several occasions there wasn't a single staff present for 5-10 minutes at a time. We also had a problem with the noise on several levels. One of our rooms, #121, was close to the hall entry and during our 3 night stay we were woken up nightly from people passing our room. Also, the people above us had young kids that were running, jumping and screaming well past midnight (the front desk did handle this after 2 calls to complain). In addition, there was construction going on directly below us in the gym/pool bathrooms and that was super annoying. Not soundproof by any means and affected our stay quite negatively. Lastly, there were a couple of items left behind in our rooms. I have made two phone calls and sent 2 emails since the day we checked out (June 11th) and have yet to receive a response. This is not the service normally provided by a Ritz Carlton. For this reason I can't give the staff a perfect score. Disappointed.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay with yourself s Really friendly & helpful staff A beautiful hotel with stunning surroundings A pleasure to have stayed
9,3 Excellent
Pros: The resort's facilities and golf course surroundings are outstanding. There are great tracks with monuments into the forest/mountain.
Cons: Very unexperienced staff. Prices in the resort's facilities are overinflated, even for a top 5* place.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Everything is superb
Cons: 10 euro room service fee is a little greedy on top of the prices

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the structure. Parking very close on the street side. The reception and the elegance of the room. We really enjoyed our stay. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant which is convenient for late arrivals: we ate too, shame for the portions, perhaps too abundant
Cons: Nulla.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Great location great staff great breakfast
Cons: The carpet in the hallways and rooms has to go. Have swoosh’s floors instead . Otherwise amazing everything
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were brilliant, the property was in a very good location and was nice to live in.
Cons: We drove there and had issues getting to where we needed to go. Once we had found a (public) parking space we made our way to the hotel. (The staff were brilliant in helping us through our problem.)

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff was super-friendly and helpful, one of the front desk staff parked our car right in front of the hotel (no charge), great location for good restaurants, transportation to the local sights, etc. Will definitely stay here again!
Cons: Only problem was a lot of construction in the area... Made driving around the area difficult, but likely only a temporary problem.
7,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok think we had been spoiled at our previous two hotels.
Cons: Nothing we didn't really dislike but the two previous hotels stood out far better for quality
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and amenities excellent. Hotel employee at the front desk were excellent... Courteous, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Breakfast was excellent, good quality and selection.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The atmosphere is really relaxing yet very professional. The room is super clean, everything done with the most attention. You can feel the welcoming when you open the door. It’s like family, they want you to truly feel at home. The mini refrigerator is filled with mineral water, bubble water, coke, orange juice, and a couple of creamers for your coffee. All of that free of charge. What a delightful welcoming!!!
Cons: Oh not to mention the amazing staff. Upon arrival we met the wonderful, helpful, professional, and sweet ladies. Evandra and Elizabete were so helpful, met our every question with a smile! It was already the best impression of the Hotel. They made us feel truly at home. The next morning we met the other amazing team - this time was the guys! Andre and Pedro were on point. We could navigate from Portuguese (Brazilian style), to English back and forth. They helped us to figure out the logistics of our schedule, getting an Uber ride, where to buy tickets in advance to visit the palaces and much more!!! The best part was how quickly we connected telling jokes about Brazilian expressions versus the Portuguese terms. Pedro was beyond sweet making sure I had everything I needed to prepare my coffee. Later in the afternoon we also met Afonso who was helpful and friendly. Coming back from dinner we saw Evandra quickly and met Bruno. He was the overnight concierge, and he also made sure to offer his services for anything we might needed. In conclusion this people made our stay be a memorable one!!

5,8 Okay
Pros: The room was Ok, a bit on the smallish side.
Cons: Its really all about value for money. They are way overpriced. For that money they should have been staffed better and show some smiles. The photos on booking are from the best wing of the hotel, I got a room that kind of resembled was I ordered but not quite. I think the second floor is the lesser one,
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The beds, the view, location, sitting rooms, everything! The staff was amazing!
Cons: I cannot think of a single thing that could be better. Everything was excellent!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place with wonderful atmosphere. Staff went out of their way to makes us comfortable.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: View from the room but a little far from the town ..which could be good if you come by xar
Cons: Distance from the town and reluctance of taxis to go there sometimes
9,5 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything! From the breathtaking walk on the entrance to the wonderful interiors, including the very much helpful and charming service. The room was spacious and classy. Breakfast included all kind of fruit varieties you can imagine, set in nicest room of the entire building. The outdoor area was incredibly cozy and beautiful. I hope we can repeat anytime soon.
Cons: Not having more time to stay
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The palace is gorgeous and historic. The location is also perfect. Personally, I felt little things need some attention with the hotel. It is old and it shows a bit - cracked plaster, poorly patched repairs, chips on the window framing, visible water damage, etc. I can appreciate the hotel wanting to keep things original and authentic but for the cost of the rooms they need to keep the little things taken care of. Just seems like little things have been “missed”. Overall a gorgeous hotel with very comfortable beds and beautiful views in every direction!
7,0 Good
Pros: The bed quality is great. The location is excellent!
Cons: Checked in experience wasnt meet the 5 stars. The welcome wet towels are smelly!!!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location in a very quiet part of Sintra which is very hard these days considering it is overrun by tourists. The hotel itself is like a museum very tastefully decorated and maintained. Very discrete environment. Was our 3rd stay. I would stay here very time
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is charming a Classic historical hotel beautifully renovated
Cons: Nothing to complain about
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Majestic palace hotel with tastefully decorated rooms, immaculate views and facilities and wonderfully attentive staff made for a memorable 2 night stay.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great for trips into Sintra and Lisbon as well as close to beaches. Fantastic view to the palaces on the hills which were amazing at night.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast, beautiful location, very comfortable, except our 3rd bed option for our adult daughter that was too soft( it was a cot), not a real bed as was listed
Cons: That our 3 beds were not 3 beds. A cot for an adult is not a bed. Plus having breakfast outside on terrace was too cold!!! Unpleasant
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the property is perfectly located 2 km from beaches and 7km from historical sintra. It also very easy to get to Lisbon in less than 30 min. The staff was very helpful, they gave us good adresses and even lend us a troller.
Cons: nothing

Cons: The beds were a bit though.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Felt welcome as old-time friends, which says it all. Time taken to explain the surroundings and how to make the best of our holidays. The place is incredible, a little bit of paradise ! All languages seem to be spoken, which is practical ;-) Lovely breakfast, fantastic garden (and that swimming pool of course !) Sintra as well as the coast are within easy reach, so even with short time on site a lot can be done. Wonderful !

Pros: The hotel is set in a lovely garden. It has a very good breakfast and a relatively convenient location. The staff were very pleasant and efficient.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful garden and surroundings.
Cons: Nothing.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location was great!
Cons: It being a beautiful, old building the room had a musky smell to it. Room just needs a constant air freshener to help with that.
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel was very clean, in fact all areas were spotless. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The shabby chic decor was pleasant, and the gardens were fantastic.
Cons: It needs some modernisation in the bathrooms, for the price charged I expected a much better standard of bathroom. For example, all toilet seats were broken, they have step over bath showers, the soap dispensers didn't function etc. Quite petty complaints but if it was half the price I would not have felt as disgruntled.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the country house look and atmosphere, with a swimming-pool to boot (a modern, welcome touch). Great English-type garden; the house also had a couple of pleasant rooms, and an large terrasse facing the Moorish castle in the distance. Breakfast with all that is needed for a good start of the day. Easy to walk into town (downhill), but steep hills make it wiser to return by cab
Cons: We found the twin beds somewhat narrow.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: An excellent stay.
Cons: Nothing I can said bad about
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Well worth getting out of Lisbon and having a home base to relax and enjoy this beautiful town and what it has to offer. You are able to bet the crowds by arriving early in the morning at the various sites and relax by the pool with a glass of wine in the afternoon!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful refuge and gorgeous garden as the name suggests. This grand building has all the old charm and is also very well restored. Lovely bed and linens and quiet for a great sleep. Excellent location for walking to key attractions. Good espresso. Excellent value for money as you get the awesome historical structure and grounds compared to excessively over priced similar locations in the area.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: amazing location and set in stunning grounds. Fabulous pool and garden area. great value for money. staff left us a breakfast tray the night before as we were checking out before 7. huge rooms and very comfy bed.

7,0 Good
Cons: Breakfast was minimal and unappetizing.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The location is very good, right next to the central station, so you can basically walk there and not carry your luggage through the whole city. All touristic buses stop there too, which is very convenient, but if you want to stay in the city centre, then you have to walk around 20 minutes but this walk is amazing as you will walk among beautiful mountains, forests and greenery, you will enjoy the view for sure and wont notice those 20 minutes at all. Very nice and polite staff, helped us a lot with excursions and gave us maps and some good advices. The most beautiful place of this hotel is its terrace, where you can have your breakfast or just a drink viewing the mountain with a castle on top of it. We loved it, so beautiful !!!
Cons: We understand that this hotel is one of the oldest in the city, but the room, especially bathroom looks a little bit worn out, it didnt look clean because of it. No fresh orange juice for brekafast.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfy room, great terrace. Breakfast excellent. Staff friendly.
Cons: Nothing.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality of the owner and staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The beautifully maintained patio is worth the money alone. Views of the Moorish castle from an almost tropical garden. Beautiful. Room was clean and well maintained as was the bathroom. Breakfast was the excellent (apart from the coffee). Located very near the station and the buses for Pēna, it could not have been better.
Cons: Although we loved everything about Hotel Nova Sintra we didn't like the coffee from the coffee machine. But that was all!!
6,8 Good
Pros: Staff were very nice and helpful. The location is okay, just a 15min walk from the historical city center (which is very nice).
Cons: Room misses some charm but okay overall.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is excellent in this pretty town, very helpful and friendly staff with plenty of local recommendations. Beautiful hotel with fresh breakfast, we highly recommend it.
Cons: We arrived late afternoon so parking was not a problem, but could be an issue earlier in the day.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: This place is beyond charming! The staff is incredibly nice, goes above and beyond and makes sure you enjoy your stay. Would highly recommend staying here — the location is perfect.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms with all facilities.

Pros: The villa was beautiful, staff was very friendly and helpful. They spoke several languages including English. The pool and outdoor space were a bonus. Good restaurants within walking distance but a car is needed for exploring historic Sintra
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and calm place ! With perfect pool and beautiful living room!
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with excellent views. Free fruit from garden. Lovely family host living in another building on the property. Free car parking.
Cons: Wifi was spotty during our 1 night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This Villa is just amazing, Perfect view on Sintra, beautiful eye for decoration inside and outside the house. Easy communication and absolutely stunning concept. I will definitely return here.
5,5 Okay
Pros: The room was big with a separate living room. Location is great with easy parking space. Thanks to the large compound on which the casa is located, you have lots of privacy.
Cons: Our room was in a separate building from the main house. It was humid and smelt mouldy but the windows could not be opened to let some fresh air in. The furnishings were cheap and worn out (ex; a dingy blanker covered a tattered sofa). There was a water kettle and two cups, but no tea or coffee (okay, we just bought that) but also no spoons, nothing to wash the dishes afterwards, no small fridge, ..) The environment of the place has a lot of potential; but is neglected (nothing like the pictures). Weeds grow everywhere, watering hoses and pots lay lingering, old blankets are laying around wet, ..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The pool, the antique interior, the breakfast, the friendly staff, the dog and the chickens, the cookies and fresh fruit to grab, the view from our room at the castle.
Cons: Maybe more change of towels, but overall everything was very good
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host is very friendly, everything is nice and the breakfast was perfect!
Cons: The bathroom was a bit smelly but I suppose that's due to bad weather...
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The property was absolutely gorgeous, beautiful views over the pool and gardens with the Sintra Hills behind. Easy drive / walk to local shops. Bedrooms were really ornate and well styled. Shower was a little short for us but we managed :) overall a wonderful stay and wished we had more than one night!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful old traditional building with authentic Portuguese decor. The pool is very nice with wonderful views of Sintra mountains and Peneda Palace. Pool area is very quiet - often we were the only ones there. Breakfast is absolutely gorgeous with everything home cooked and you enjoy it sitting in the gardens with the most spectacular views.
Cons: Sun beds around pool could be better...they don't qualify to the high standards of the rest of pool area and house. Gardens could use some wheeting and renovation around the edges, but the overall picture is still beautiful.

Pros: The hotel has a very good position, few minutes walk from both the station and the old center. The staff was very kind. They gave us useful advices about Sintra and surrounding (recommended place to visit, how to reach them, etc.). Breakfast was an interesting assortment of fruits, dessets and savory pies; everything had really good quality.
Cons: In the room there was a bathroom opaque glass door that didn't provide any privacy and there wasn't the bidet (if I'm not mistaken, in Portugal they use it, so I expected to find it in the hotel). There was a carpet on the floor, not good for cleaning and allergies.

Pros: The location is good , but you have to walk to center. The place is very beautiful and you can sit at he pool to have a drink. They can prepare a sandwich also.
Cons: The bathroom was a little bit small.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed here with our families for a few days before our wedding in Lisbon and just loved it! It's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from downtown, but especially during peak season, we didn't mind being a little outside the center. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, full of trees, flower beds and nooks and crannies that make the whole place feel magical. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully appointed and breakfast each morning was superb. Manuel and the other hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating and provided great recommendations. The spacious "chil-out tent" was also cosy and comfortable, providing a nice place for us to gather or an evening aperitivo especially during inclement weather. We loved our stay and would happily go back!
Cons: Rooms have facilities for making tea, but not coffee. It would be nice to be able to make coffee in the afternoon or before breakfast, especially since breakfast is not served until 8:30am.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything. One of my favourite hostels I have ever stayed at. Amazing location right between the city centre and where you walk to to see all the sights. One big table outside the bar in the garden means everyone comes together to eat dinner/drink at the one place every night so awesome community feel and perfect for solo travellers. Beds comfy. More enough clean bathrooms. 10/10
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff. Ambience. Location.
Cons: The uphill and downhill climb :) but that's just how Sintra is! So beware that you need to walk uphill and downhill everywhere in this city. About the hostel : if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the upper floors!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff, clean, good location.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Room had a lovely feel about it. Gardens were lovely, bar made it feel welcoming. Staff were very attentive with excellent advice, felt very looked after.

Pros: Staff really helpful. We didn’t have time but the free guided tour of the local hills area was very kind as well. Loved the outdoor areas and variety of food/ drinks offered on site. Breakfast was 100 percent as well.
Cons: We felt taken advantage of by a cab/ Uber I’m not sure, but a 3 minute cab ride cost too much. NOT the only time this happened in Portugal and several cab drivers were really grumpy-over charging, but not all.

Cons: niente :)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Unforgettable and unusual vacation (in good meaning). Just prepare to specific indoor smell (like smell in church) and protect against mosquito.
Cons: There in no kettle in the room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Well, this hotel was the most charming we have been to during our trip in Portugal this year. Stunning views to the hills and the palaces from the windows and from the pool area. Excellent pool, deckchairs, perfect for picking up some tan and stay cool in the meantime. The staff is adorable - you can meet the owners' family members who may talk to you about the history of the place and show you some otherwise private rooms in the hotel - like the library or the music room. A nice feature is the long breakfast table - all guests eat their meal next to each other - and yes, you actually start talking to each other, which was really nice :) The garden is absolutely fantastic. We stayed for three days and we could have stayed for more, as we only saw a fraction of what the Sintra region can offer and we also loved the chill out time at the pool, too. Highly recommended!!!
Cons: Only a few staff members speak English. The common areas smell (dampness? or the owners' cat?)... Especially the one next to the wifi router. The place is not easy to access by car - you have to take single lane, narrow roads with two way traffic. (But fear not - you get used to it after a few trips in and out.)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful home with interesting antiquities inside. Lovely breakfast and a fantastic pool and gardens. Lovely staff too. Breakfast was great as well.
Cons: We would have preferred a double/queen bed in the family room, but the twin beds were super comfortable. It is also really difficult to find the place. Our GPS struggled and we needed to stop at tourist o information in Sintra to ask where it was after an hour trying to find it. It is in Monserrate as an fyi.
5,5 Okay
Pros: Staff were very nice. Breakfast was fantastic and the gardens are beautiful.
Cons: The location of the guest house is at the bottom of a very steep and poorly paved road. Taxis reluctantly come to this guest house so if you don't have your own transportation don't stay here.

Pros: The history

8,8 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is absolutely stunning! The house looks beautiful from the outside and the common areas are very nice decorated with many historical details. Staying here feels like a time travel back in time! Town of Sintra is just a few walking minutes away (but the road is very steep!). It was a last minute decision to stay for a night in Sintra and I'm glad we did.
Cons: Didn't like the breakfast, not worth the money.

Pros: Peaceful stay in magical Sintra - classy and cosy spot - comfortable & clean rooms, amazing patio in the yard, which was perfect to enjoy both in the evening and in the morning. Host was really helpful and friendly - gave few really nice recommendations and helped with my itinerary. Breakfast was delicious as well - they even served it earlier than usual, because i had to leave early. Location was really nice for me as well, not far from the center.. and with a patio and views like that, worth it, for sure. Recommended to stay, while in magical Sintra!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Courteous staff, eager to please (almost too obsequious and formal, though.)
Cons: Only one thing—late start for breakfast. 7:30 or 8 would have been very helpful.

Pros: Very charming chalet, perfect for a couples stay. Huge bedroom, comfortable bed, great breakfast. Friendly and attentive staff.
Cons: Bathroom a bit old and hence loud.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and beautiful location in a fabulous setting and convenient to everything. Despite the masses of tourists in Sintra, Chalet Relogio was a tranquil haven but still close to everything. We had a great stay here and the owner was very approachable easy to communicate with.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful location. Charming fairy tale building.Briliant sitting room and tasty, varied breakfast. Extremely clean and well maintained. Loved it.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location on the hillside but within walking distance from main square. A lovely old house full of character.
Cons: Nothing
5,8 Okay
Pros: Room was spacious and clean, complete silence & peace. If you are heading to Pena palace - it was walking distance away.
Cons: Interior in truly antique style felt a bit too much for nowadays, but even worse was the strong smell of antique furniture & building in the room. In afternoon, when we cheked in, dark brown water was coming from tap & wc, later it was ok (maybe they changed filters on that time). Breakfast did not had any hot options, yogurt has expired validity term - 4 days over “best before”... The lady, which checked us in did not speak a word in English. To drive to city center you had to make almost 5 km loop passing all main tourist attractions = facing traffic jams. Or you can walk - one way uphills.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room we stayed in was beautiful and breakfast was delicious. The guesthouse is in an excellent location for exploring Sintra and the palaces.
6,8 Good
Pros: Location is quiet just 5 min walk from Sintra centre Room was big
Cons: The hospitality was poor as the owner is very straightforward and pragmatic and not very welcoming. Upon arrival around 12 we waited 30min for somebody to show up, finally the owner arrived just to say that room would be ready at 4pm and they only take cash and we could leave our bags in the entry. He didn’t give us any tour or explanation of the guest house neither our bags were moved in our room when we came back. Breakfast is very simple and not great quality. The hotel looks better in the pictures than what it is in reality

Pros: Love clean rooms. There was a library and a lovely parlour for our use. Cotton linens with duvet covers. Lovely breakfast. Close to many activities and tours.
Cons: Since we were traveling by car it would have been helpful to receive directions to the guest house. Otherwise everything was excelleny
9,5 Excellent
Pros: This was a beautiful small guest house with a very nice garden which is ideal for anyone wanting to be away from the tourist rush. it was private and very quiet but just a few minutes walk from the busy center of Sintra. We walked into town for dinner which is not available at the guest house. The dining room with its plant frescos opening to the garden was a very welcome breakfast experience. The open living room areas for guests was decorated in original antiques and very nice for after dinner relaxing.
Cons: Our GPS failed and it was extremely difficult to find with so many one way streets of Sintra. Look for the green house on the right side of the road near end of the street which turns into a new street name.
