The breakfast was wonderful, the bed was super comfortable & the staff were lovely. We also loved the pianist who played the piano at the weekend. What a wonderful place to spend the weekend.I wish we were there longer.
The bedroom was a little on the small size. But very well equipped.
A Magic Place. We particularly loved lunch on the terrace. The staff was beyond wonderful, all of them, and there were many.
Although our room was comfortable, there were only two side chairs other than the bed, so no comfort sitting place, which was a noticeable deficiency while one waited for the other. And like Maine, because the unique traffic circulation challenges, you "can't get there from here". In the Center, not 1000 meters away, taxis refused to take us there because they would have to drive 10 KMs to get back to the taxi stand. So, if you don't fancy a good walk, with some significant grade, it will be a challenge.
Gorgeous old building.
Our room was in need of obvious maintenance. Most importantly, there was a recent change in the traffic pattern as they made the road in front of the hotel one way in the direction away from town so it now takes over 30 minutes in part on dangerously narrow 2 way streets yo get into town by car. It only takes 6 minutes to drive back. The walk is nice at around 23 minutes but late st night it’s s pain.
All the staff are gentle. The building and garden is beautiful. We enjoyed a calm time with relaxing atmosphere.
Great hotel and staff Very chic and well organized Romantic
Stay in an 18th-century palace in the heart of medieval Sintra. The five-star Tivoli Palácio de Seteais Hotel is the only luxury hotel in the charming old town. It’s close to attractions, including the National Palace of Sintra and is a destination in itself, with stunning views, lush gardens and décor featuring tapestries and frescos. The hotel has 30 rooms on two floors, offering lovely views of the Sintra Mountains, hotel gardens and outdoor pool, which is open in the summer months. Decorated with fresco paintings, the rooms are fully equipped with modern amenities including Nespresso machines, flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Begin your day with a breakfast buffet feast featuring local breads, as well as pastries, cheeses and eggs any style. The hotel restaurant is the place to experience authentic Portuguese cuisine, with traditional dishes like octopus and suckling pig on the menu. To try wonderful regional Colares wines, head to the hotel’s tasting Colares room, or enjoy a cocktail in the hotel bar. Whether you want to pamper yourself with a treatment or massage in the Anantara spa, enjoy a dip in the pool or play tennis on the clay court, the hotel will meet all your needs.
