Pros: We are just back from an AMAZING time at this hotel. The staff were super friendly (especially Holly and Nadine) and helpful. We were always made to feel welcome and everyone was polite and helpful. The spa and pool area are exceptional with a downstairs "nude" area with the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. For a Brit, it was initially a little nerve-wracking as we are not known for feeling comfortable in the nude and 99% of the other guests spoke German so could understand what was expected of them. The "Sauna Master" was fabulous and by the end of the trip, I was totally relaxed, stripping off and rubbing salts and oils over my body in the presence of complete strangers! Perhaps not for everyone, but worth trying out! The Sauna Master kindly translated everything into English for me which was very helpful. The food was 5 star and we enjoyed every single meal. Lots of effort had gone into the displays and presentation of the food. Everywhere is lit by candles and the architecture from the old monastery is fascinating to look at. Book this hotel! It's absolutely first class!

Cons: If I had to mention slight negatives, they would be: The hotel is VERY warm so we slept with the windows wide open at night, even when it as snowing. Not much is explained to you when you arrive and if you are not German speaking, you have to find out things for yourself and ask a lot of questions to other guests/staff. It would be good to be given a short tour of the hotel upon arrival. My son ended up in the wine cellar, thinking it was the pool !

Special playground for dogs - including pond for swimming - is nice when travelling during the summer. Special menu for the dogs in the restaurant was a nice surprise. We had not the time to discover all facilities like swimming pool and fitness because we arrived at 22pm and left at 11am the say after. But the bed was top. The rooms super clean. The swimming pool and sauna area are splendid, large and well equipped. Breakfast is excellent, very good fruits, and all possible bread, eggs and so forth. Pros: The views were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed our spacious room. The lobby and decor were wonderful. The little adjoining restaurant up the hill was simply a lovely location with warm and friendly service, and the food was very good too. The breakfast staff were also very warm and inviting.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable, and the room was very warm even when we opened the windows and door all night when it cooled off outside.

Pros: The staff were excellent. Very friendly, helpful at all times. Roof top terrace was amazing, with stunning views of Seefeld. Was in perfect location if you don't have problems walking. At least 30 mins walk into centre. Taxis were available. Not much space for palking the car, especially when busy
Cons: It too far to walk for me personally. The hotel , the water in the shower went everywhere. Not designed very well. Every time you got up to go the toilet the lights came on, and went off 5 mins later. They were constantly on all night. Bedding awful, the pillow smelt and had yellow stains on it. Our view out the window was the kitchen sky light. Not what we thought we were getting all. Very disappointing.

Cons: Food at dinner was very poor, not enough choice, fish and chicken was served under cooked. Overall for a 4 star hotel the food was awful. Hotel is quite away from the centre. My husband was ill during our stay, I requested dinner in the room one night as he was not well enough to go to dining room, we were charged 7.50 euros for this! I also requested more pillows as he needed to be propped up in bed, they brought us one small child size pillow!!! No one enquired if we were ok or needed any help knowing I had told reception that we needed a Doctor and my husband had flu. The day before leaving I asked reception to book us a taxi for the airport, the day of leaving with 10 minutes to spare we found that a taxi had not been booked! Luckily for us we were able to get a taxi in time. Staff are unhelpful and need to do their job better, would never go back to this hotel!!!

Pros: the hotel is quietly located just very close to the centre of Seefeld, but in sufficient distance to be in a perfectly calm location. The swimming pool and sauna area are splendid, large and well equipped. Breakfast is excellent, very good fruits, and all possible bread, eggs and so forth. Lärchenhof is certainly worth a longer stay.

Cons: We booked one bedroom apartment. It was dark and depressing. Even a bit shabby. Needs a major refurbishment. We tried to change rooms but there were none available. Must add that the photos on booking were misleading in terms of the room size and look. A big disappointment.

Cons: For a 4star S property I had expected more - everything is there but nothing more. Compared to other 4 star S properties this one is the least in terms of experience and fit out we stayed in . The dining hall is separated into 3 areas and the dining experience is very different depending where one sits.

Staff: were so helpful. Everyone went out of there way to help. Room: was a suite which was huge. The bathroom was also very large with seperate bathroom and shower, as well as a bidet. Food: We originally booked with breakfast included which comprised of both a hot and cold buffet. There was plenty of options. When we checked in, we were offered to upgrade our meals to include afternoon tea and dinner for an extra €20 pp. This turned out to be a great deal, as afternoon tea comprised of soup and salad with beer and or wine. Dinner each night was a 4 course meal which was lovely restaurant quality.

Cons: This was the first night of a 2 night stay. On this night we were in an apartment. Immediately on entering, there was a strong sewer/drainage smell which the 4 of us reacted to visibly. The otherwise friendly receptionist remarked that he had no sense of smell. Due to traffic, we arrived late. Although the same receptionist was accommodating, the waiter in the dining room couldn’t be bothered, showed no patience and offered incomplete information about the menu and drinks options.

Cons: The wifi is not very good The areas between the swimming pool and the spa are very cold which is dangerous to get a cough because of the high temperature differences. The heating in the diamond challet wasn't good. The room was cold most of the time. It has an electric fireplace which needs approximately 1 hour to make the room comfortable for living. I called the reception twice to mention the problem with the heating and the answer was '' We know it just be patient for 2 hours''. Moreover,the espresso machine did not work The parking does not have a lot of space No room service, it could be added to the services The pillows are not very good

Cons: The swimming pool was freezing cold and the jacuzzi was inside the pool so no swimming and jacuzzi for me, it was disappointing as that was my main reason for booking the hotel. Some areas are tired eg the bathrooms downstairs for the restaurant. With only 1 lift it was a lot of waiting time sometimes.

After eating lunch everyday for a week at local restaurants we appreciated how UNDERPRICED the food is at Das Kaltschmid so take that into account if you are on the fence about the room rate. Dinner menu was surprisingly good. Sophisticated multi-course menus every night and one big Austrian buffet during our week's stay. Breakfast is large buffet with many choices. Dining room staff was very accommodating and hard working. Pool and spa facilities and kids play area are nice for families. Very nice supermarket with bakery right next door to hotel and ski shuttle stop is 2 minutes walk.

I got one but they classified as upgrade and charged 12 euros and I was not aware until checking out. Not much but it’s the principle. Also chucking us out at 11am on checkout day for a room that cost this much is a bit cheeky. Not the best and I’ve had much much better service similar price hotels in seefeld.
