The staff was very welcoming. It is connected to a Starbucks and centrally located on your block away from Union Square.
This is an older property and they did a poor job of modernizing it. Cheap inexpensive hardware and modern flares to make it look like a new hotel. In reality it’s pretty run down and poorly maintained. Additionally not that this is the hotels fault however the transient problem in San Francisco it’s just getting progressively worse. There was a man laying face down in the middle of the walkway just in front of the hotel.
The staff was gracious and helpful, the style was modern and sleek, the in-room amenities were awesome, and the branding was en-pointe! We felt like it was a good value, and were it not for the insane amount of construction in the area, would have been an ideal location.
It's a little cramped, which is more a function of the price of real estate in San Francisco. There was some damage to walls, and it smelled a little water damaged, but there were clearly improvements in progress.
Good location and nice and welcoming staff, who were always there to help. My special thanks and gratitude to the security guard Bryan - his knowledge about the city and professional work attitude above any praises.
The rooms are old and need urgent renovation. The hotel operates since 50s I believe, and some bad smell is there, especially on 6th floor. for the hotel’s credit, when I complained about that I was immediately offered a room change and new room was good.
Be careful with the amounts charged to you, upon arrival and check the check-out very well. The money that will be taken from me at the beginning has not yet been received and by the hotel they have not given any solutions in this regard / they pass the brown money to the management of the banks, which is not true. Beware.
