Pros: Great place to stay, must say absolutely first class. If I could say one thing a fridge in the room would have been great but that is just picking to be fair. Milk was provided cold in a flask so not really an issue but that would be out 9.9 to 10.0 score.
Cons: Nothing at all, brilliant.

6,7 Good
Pros: Peacefull
Cons: Lack of fine detail
7,3 Good
Pros: I have stayed at Hunters Lodge many times over the last 5 years. The Rooms are clean and OK. Evening meals are good pub standard but in my view the Breakfast is the best in UK. The cooked breakfast comes quickly and is always good. Coffee and toast appear quickly etc. It is excellent value for money and I always try to stay at Hunters Lodge if in the Crewe area. I have stayed in quite a few others but now always try Hunters Lodge first.
Cons: I like a bath and some rooms only have a shower.
6,0 Good
Pros: Good food and pleasant staff
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, the rooms are clean but basic and suspect better value can be had elsewhere. ok for one night.
Cons: It is a pub/restaurant/function location with some cheaply built rooms around the back. The floors creak and the walls are thin. You get what you pay for.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our night at Hunters Lodge Hotel, the staff were very welcoming even although they had to make sure all the wedding guests arriving were well looked after and we ate our breakfast the next morning with the bride, bridegroom and family.

Pros: The food served throughout the hotel was excellent, and always freshly cooked.
Cons:
6,8 Good
Pros: Homely with friendly courtious and helpful staff
Cons: It was very pleasant ; if I was being very critical the bar service was slow, not due to the staff who were excellent but the lack of numbers - but it was a Monday evening stay when perhaps full compliment was not applicable.

Pros: Loved that it was an old country Manor House. Thought our room in the tower with its own spiral staircase was really quirky but loved that size of the room and the bathroom.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good location for work, easy to find
Cons: Rooms very difficult to find, generally cleanliness of restaurant area wasn't good. Disappointing that the majority of the rooms were nothing to do with the main building as pictured on the website. Room was not worth the amount I paid.

Pros: Location great for work. Room very comfortable and really quiet which was great as I wasn't well and went to bed really early.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved brekkie
Cons: Too many stairs for the missus
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness was superb, overall no complaints really, it's not there fault I'm a fat bloke, breakfast was very nice, nice and hot and served quickly.
Cons: My only issue was the shower, although not really the hotel's fault, I'm not a slim bloke and getting in and out was tight to say the least.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was fair ..staff polite..
Cons: Not very clean shower door broken radiator in toilet not on ..cold in corridors bed mattress poor quality..
10,0 Excellent
Pros: From moment of arival, it was our second visit. Nothng really has changed, excelent service, excelent rooms and the food...yep, excelent. Of course, the price was outstanding, as it was last year as well. Like it is said, you get what you pay for. To be fair, the price could go up another £5 or so, and it would still be great value. I don't know about other hotels in the area, but i can certainly recomend this one. Why pay hundreds, if not thousands, when quality this good is a bargain for anyone to consider.
Cons: As it is, i cannot fault our stay there. Mabee my standards are too low, or, i'm just as happy as i can be at the warm welcome and stay. I'm not one of those, nit-picky persons, that goes round picking fault with everything. I expect a reasonable service for a reasonable price, and this place goes above that. All hotels should be at this standard.
Best Western Crewe Arms Hotel - Crewe - Bedroom
9
7,7 Good (670 reviews)
R1 947+
Overview Reviews
Best Western Crewe Arms Hotel in Cheshire is just the ticket for a relaxing getaway - which should come as no surprise when we tell you that it's located adjacent to Crewe Railway station (and is the world's first Railway hotel, built in 1830)! For both business and leisure guests, we go all out to make your stay as comfy-cosy as possible. Our job is made easier by the beautiful red brick building we inhabit, which stands out at the entrance to the town and is held in much affection by the many locals and visitors from further afield. Such is the character of our hotel that Queen Victoria and her family stayed here when she travelled from London to Scotland for her annual summer holidays - there's even a tunnel that she used here to avoid walking with the commoners! Hotel restaurant closed on Sunday evenings. The restaurant is also closed for lunch & dinner on bank holidays. Limited cold food is available from the bar. Enjoy your stay!
7,0 Good
Pros: Plenty of parking and, staff were very helpful and friendly
Cons: It was clean and comfortable if a little tired in terms of décor. More sound proffing would be good as, the noise from the trains was quite loud and woke me up.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy with the bed
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Really wasn't expecting much for the price paid but it couldn't have been better. A lovely old building and the rooms tastefully done so as not to lose the character. Location was great for us as we arrived by train (50M) and the staff on check-in and check-out were so friendly and helpful. A nice decent sized room and bathroom with tea/coffee, biscuits, etc and a comfy bed
Cons: Not really a bad point but, as it is such an old building, the floorboards creaked like mad. It all added to the character but not sure if the people underneath our room appreciated it as we arrived late at night
4,0 Okay
Cons: Received a parking fine for £60 for dropping off a member of family booked here. Stayed 15 minutes, werent informed by staff about parking, also dark outside so didn't see signs. Contacted hotel, after receiving fine, who apologised then contacted parking firm and cancelled it The hotel itself was very very noisy from the work being done on the adjacent railway line. Apparently staff dont look or check to see if work is being done. Had they done so they could have moved residents to the opposite side where there were vacancies. The windows are all single glazed sash windows, totally insufficient.

3,0 Mediocre
Cons: Had to request radiator as no heating. Very noisy location on top of pub and beside football stadium
5,0 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: Shower and TV seemed to work sporadically
6,0 Good
Pros: good location, 5 minutes from station. cooked breakfast was enormous, 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 3 sausage, 2black pudding but toast was cool and coffee was awful - just instant apparently an Illy americano was not possible, asked for tea instead not much better. hotel recently refurbished looks good.
Cons: tv didn't have any channels to begin, reception was good, he came up straight away and set tv to scan for channels... coffee; room door had old yale lock, I locked it on the button overnight, in the morning I couldn't unlock the door, no phone in room, ended up levering the button using a tea spoon. no problem for me but an older, more frail, anxious client might have panicked, especially if there had been a fire alarm. no-one on the desk to inform when I checked out at 0830
9,0 Excellent
Pros: it was sound
Cons: nothing really everything was sound
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room and bathroom. Basic facilities in room but very clean at a great price.
Cons: Couldn’t really fault my stay much but if I was being picky, the TV was at an odd angle to the bed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, very accommodating when I realized they didn't have a lift and I have mobility problems moved us to the first floor. It is a noisy hotel as they have bar and function room on site. We were there for an event in the function room so noise didn't bother us. Fantastic that after the event we could just stagger to bed. Freshly cooked full English was excellent. A excellent weekend. Thank you
Cons: No lift (my fault for not checking)
5,0 Okay
Cons: No hot water
