Pros: First off, Taki and Mihali were excellent inn keepers. Friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The spot is gorgeous, the views extraordinary, and the room was beautiful and stylish. It was the best hotel experience I have had here in Greece. I will definitely be returning here again in the future. A very special thank you goes to Stella, who made the best breakfasts I can ever remember at a hotel. Stella baked the rolls and orange cake from scratch each day, and she used the freshest ingredients from the area (the first press olive oil of the season, herbs, even making a quince compote). She too was open and friendly when she spoke, and she made my experience even more memorable. Bravo Stella!

Pros: Stella was a wonderful host. We especially enjoyed the farm fresh breakfast.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very hospitable family who made us feel very welcome. Very helpful.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional guests, Maria and Takis received us as part as their family. The breakfasts alone worth the trip. Maria is an excellent cook and the food comes from their farm…. As for the suite, it is part of one of the oldest building of the site, on the water's edge. It is very beautiful. Be sure to stay at least two nights
Cons: it is a good walk to go to the place. Make sure you have valet services.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location and room were spectacular. We could open the shutters for a beautiful view of the church below, the sea beyond, and fresh air. We ate breakfast outside and it was delicious. Our hosts were gracious.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our entire stay was excellent. We used the porter service to get our luggage to the hotel. Our check in was great & the staff was very helpful. Our room was so nice. It was in a very quiet neighborhood. We had excellent breakfasts including homemade fig marmalade, which was delicious.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location was perfect..you feel all the castles's energy
4,6 Okay
Cons: There was a moldy smell in the bathroom when we arrived and mold spots on the shower cuertain, plus the front desk briefly "lost" my passport , and asked if I was even sure I gave it to them-- not very good confidence builder

Cons: Mosquitoes although this is a result from an neighbouring property that is overgrown
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Once you get to it, it is really special. The location right under the rock above and in a beautiful square just above the sea is exceptional. The owner is Theophano or Phanny and she is passionate about her extraordinary town. She was very hospitable and helped us in every way possible. We had the top floor apartment which was huge and overlooked the stunning square and sea ....and she gave us a wonderful Greek breakfast albeit at an extra cost.
Cons: Nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This beautiful hotel is architect designed to completely immerse you in the history and atmosphere of the place. Stylish and beautifully detailed the Suite was gorgeous. The location was great too. Monemvasia has so much to offer and this accommodation ticked all of our boxes.
Cons: Having to leave after 3 days. The stay was too short.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Terrific hosts! wonderful breakfast Beautiful setting!
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was served in an inner courtyard and was of good quality at the price of 9 Euro per person. It is not of the Swedish buffet type but the food was sufficient. The location of the hotel is wonderful in a city that is already a wonder. The host, Theophano, introduced herself as a retired lawyer and is a person who has tried to indicate the strengths of the surroundings. But to be very honest a better choice would have been to live not in the old fortress but in the village of Monemvasia where you could breathe in large spaces, without being elbowed by tourists, and the restaurants had incomparably better prices than those in the old fortress Monemvasia.
Cons: The bed was narrow for two persons, and the bathroom is lilliput sized. Also, the bedside lamps did not have a strong light, and the TV programs were extremely few in number.

Pros: We received warm welcome from the house owner who gave us a warm hug and prepare afternoon tea when we arrived. The view is very good from our room and can see sunrise in the morning. The breakfast is great and we didn't expect it was included.
Cons: If Google map location can be provided through email beforehand will be excellent.

Pros: The hotel was close to Monemvasia and the owner is really nice and helpful.
4,6 Okay
Pros: The only posite side was the kindness of Katerina
Cons: The manager was rude, when asking about changing room he did not propose a solution but complained about the choice of the room. Breakfast was poor : always same and recicled day after day. Shower of the room too tiny and uncomfortable. No map available! Last but not least, staff did not speak english at all..it was frustrating asking something and never be understood.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff, good breakfast. Comfortable room and large terrace.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: Excellent hosts. Very polite and friendly. We were welcomed with a plate of cakes. Near monemvasia and elafonisos.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late and were a little embarrassed to wake up the host. But he was very kind and helpful. The pool was also a great addition. The appartment was very spacious. The breakfast was buffet, which I like a lot and it was very varied.
Cons: The phone number written on the reception door for latecomers has some problems. I first got a mobile operator response center (I think A1, not sure), and only on the third attempt from a different phone, I got connected to the host (try using 00 intead of + for foreign calls). Not a problem if you come when the reception is open. I do, however, appreciate A LOT, that we could enter the room anyway and the host was so kind and understanding. Although, if the phone number wouldn't have worked, I really don't know what we would have done.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hosts and also was the breakfast that could be eaten outdoor :). And in the homeland of olives (Greece) I got olives at the breakfast. Welldone!
Cons: Nothing. The only thing that could be improved was the weather: the wind was strong 7 days in a row :(
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners/operated were fantastic. We only stayed one night but there were hugs all around when we said goodbye. They were so nice.
Cons: It was a bit too far from the town.

Pros: Charming small hotel few miles from Monemvasia on the sea cost. There are few bright and airy rooms with terrace fronting the pool and see. Great swimming pool with view of the rock of ancient city. There is a small kitchen in the room and also communal kitchen in the building. Great touch is backed of oranges and fresh eggs in the fridge. There is also small local shop few hundred meters away. Some very good tavernas are in the area. (but bevare - might be closed off season). Apartment is spotlessly clean and maintained well. Owner are on the area and helpful if you need anything extra. There are some nice walks around farming villages and olive orchards.

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful view of Monemvasia and the sound of the breaking shore! Room was somewhat small, but beautiful windows and balconies and wonderful daytime light.
Cons: There is a good deal of night light from the road. There is also no real beach at which to swim. Rather, a rock/concrete pier-type area just to the right of the hotel shoreline is the only option (besides the pool).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic views. Super staff and family business
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with a big pool and direct access to the sea. Very close to Monemvasia and other beautiful villages in the region. It was nice to have eggs and oranges for breakfast.
Cons: The hotel is very close to the road so if you want to avoid the noise, I would suggest booking a room with full sea view. The owners are nice and friendly but don’t really speak any English so it’s not always easy to communicate.

Pros: Friendliness of staff and their rigorous efforts to meet every guest's request. Excellent restaurant, providing home made food, using top quality local fresh produce and prepared using good old local recipes. Excellent location, extreme peace and quiet, wonderful views, 6-7 miles by car to Monemvasia a must see place in Greece.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good amenities (nice, big shower, clean bathroom of very comfortable size, powerful AC, mini fridge, pretty good bed). The location was really lovely. We loved the olive trees that surrounded the home, the old liotrivi house that hosted the restaurant , the staff. The restaurant on the premises was also very good. Do use it! We loved staying here because it was remote and away from the busy, touristy towns, that have motorcycles, lots of traffic etc. the location was good for accessing different beaches and villages near Velies, as well as Monemvasia of course...we would definitely stay here again...we also loved the story behind the house, a location that has hosted famous poet Yiannis Ritsos...
Cons: The owner should put a handle on the door...we stayed in the first house and it locks with a key, but it sure is hard to close and open s door just with a key...our only complaint!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet place. New, stylish and comfortable rooms. Nice and helpful staff. Very interesting restaurant.

Pros: Excellent location. A lovely family run property. Very accommodating owners . Would recommend a booking eyes closed. The owner was nice enough to open an extra room closer to the reception for me to use for my video conferencing as the WIFi in my room was not strong enough. She even came around to ask if she could make me some eggs as the scrambled eggs in buffet were finished by the time I came to eat.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: View
Cons: Management told booking.com we were a “no show” in an attempt to stop us leaving this review. We stayed in room 6 which was supposedly a “superior double with sea view” however the place was so appalling we cut our stay short & left after 1 night. Here’s what we found to be an unacceptable standard for any accommodation: * Bed sheet was very thin and had multiple holes * shower mouldy, no place for shower head to attach to wall (shower head draped over tap/spout) * aircon drained into the shower continuously while unit was on * rickety bed & very old uncomfortable mattress * walls were so thin you could hear other rooms going to the toilet * no soundproofing & only single glazed windows - you could hear all street noise & other guests on their balconies until after midnight * Bed cover (blanket) smelled musty * wires of bathroom light were exposed & taped together * wall power point was loose & almost came out of the wall * fly screen in bathroom 1/2 missing & full of grime * green light from exit sign lit up the room (we had to cover this with a 3x folded hand towel) * general room, furniture & appliances are old & very worn (CRT tv in room - don’t know if it worked) We didn’t have breakfast as we wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible. Will NOT be staying here again & will NOT recommend to anyone!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great little place, was clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of Monemvasia and close to restaurants and cafes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My host Maria and her family went over and above to make sure my stay was the best it could be. The room was clean and had a lovely courtyard that didn't disturb the magnificent water views yet added an element of privacy from the street. The local community was very welcoming and I felt very safe being a solo traveller.. ....a visit to the old town is a must.......some great local art and craft work available.
Cons: Having to leave can't wait to get back there. Loved every minute.

Pros: Great location, very friendly staff and very good breakfast.

6,3 Good
Pros: Good location. Nice staff.
Cons: Not super clean. Parts of room in need of repair. Noise from street traffic. Expensive breakfast.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The staff were all very nice and the breakfast was a good selection. Location was good and parking easy. The gift at check out was a nice touch.
Cons: The rooms are very tired indeed. The bathroom was terrible, the shower was falling apart. It didn’t feel particularly clean but hard to tell with such old fittings.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The triple room. The castle view from the hotel. The onwer is very friendly and his knowledge on the area is very helpful.
Cons: I suggest in your site the fact that there are no bath toiletries except soap should be stated. A shower curtain would be advisable. Also although the breakfast is a complete one (cereals could be added) the cheese cut in such small pieces gives the impression that the buffet richness is limiting.
4,4 Okay
Pros: good location close to Monemvasia. Nice view of the rock
Cons: needs some sprucing up. Toilet paper should be flushable. Very basic breakfast
6,0 Good
Pros: Hotel was very near to the center of Monemvasia. About 5 km.Beautiful view on the Rock. Nearby is a small beach. Breakfast is good. Nice owner.

7,0 Good
Pros: Good view, easy parking, good location with easy access to Monemvasia (30 mins or so walk to the old town). Saves hassle of staying in old town of Monemvasia itself.
Cons: Room (other than bathroom which was more up to date but very small) dated and dark. Hotel seems to be popular with tour groups.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: The view only!
Cons: Too expensive for what it is. Dirty cutlery at breakfast, which was very average itself. The hotel is surrounded by construction sites and rubbish. On a positive note we found that the room was very well cleaned every day.

Cons: The distance from the sea.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Having travelled to this area over the past 45 years and some 25 trips and with my family hailing from this seaside village, I can tell you that this is the finest hotel - as well as the priciest hotel - within a 15 to 25 mile radius of this area. Exceptional views of the plytra bay and modern rooms with western style showers and amenities. Hotel is 2 years old with nice linens and bedding. Rooms are over 600 square feet with large balconies. Views from rooms are awesome. Wind protected hotel perched on a steep rocky areas overlooking the entire bay. Pool Bar served great cocktails.
Cons: Food at the restaurant was not good by most Greek standards. I prefer to eat at the taverns along the beach for more traditional Greek cuisine with better quality ingredients and dishes. Service was good but not great when compared to chains like the four seasons, mandarin oriental etc.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent everything , nothing to complaint about , very good service and rooms , with all amenities you need , unbelievable views , the beach was like a pool , transparent water and easy to get to .
Cons: it could be better if there where some steps from the restaurant to the rooms
