Pros: It is centrally located, clean, very comfortable. The hotel building is a historical place. There is a Michelin starred restaurant which is good as well. We loved everything bout here
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Perfection
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Room was very comfortable and clean.
Cons: Staff were quite formal. We were told there was a turn down service between 8 and 9 each evening but only happened once. Breakfast manager was harried trying to take care of all the guests while also cooking eggs etc. we dined in both restaurants and felt the Michelin restaurant was more pretentious and not worth the cost
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our dinner in the brassiere was superb and the staff were excellent.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: perfect location, interesting design
Cons: breakfast was not welcoming, the gentleman who served us did not smile, food veriety was rather poor
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, right at the heart of the historic town of Colmar & in a beautiful historic house. The rooms are very comfortable & quiet & staff courteous & helpful. The brasserie restaurant within the hotel is very good - delicious regional specialities alongside a range of dishes catering for all tastes. They were particularly helpful in providing information & alternatives for gluten & dairy intolerance.
Cons: The buffet breakfast had a range of tasty pastries/breads and the meat, fish & cheese selection was of a high quality. For a hotel of this standard however, it was disappointing to find limited labelling of cereals & other products (milks) making it tricky to choose gluten/lactose/egg free options. I appreciated the gluten-free bread that was provided on request.
7,5 Good
Pros: Staff was very accommodating. I left my laptop at the hotel and they a tuallybrought it to the train station. Amazing!
Cons: Dinner st Girardin was spectacular but lighting was just a bit bright.

Pros: very pleasant hotel with a great location
Cons: N/A
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious! Staff was super helpful. Location can’t be beat. Would definitely stay again if we came back.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location in southeast part of old city. Modern facility inside old building. Reasonable room size for the price.
Cons: Parking was a major problem. Two-hour limit nearby, no overnight parking in paid facility. (Well, you can park overnight for 75€ as an abandoned vehicle as the parking garage closes at 9:00 pm.) Had to wait for distant on-street parking to be available after the crowd had departed. Hotel has 5 onsite parking spaces for 60 rooms available by advance reservation only. You are not likely to get one. They do have a 15-minute loading space at front door for check-in.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. Room was VERY spacious and had three beds (would be great for a couple with a small child). Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: We had an issue with the thermostat...it seemed to be broken and the front desk wasn’t able to fix it. So, they brought fans up to the room. It was quite warm for sleeping (despite being late Oct.).
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing
Cons: Shower head was rather low
7,9 Good
Pros: Location Friendly staff
Cons: Mattress to hard.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is within walking distance to sights, good breakfast buffet and friendly service.
Cons: Wardrobe was not large enough to accommodate dresses or coats. It shared space with mini bar (which made the interior rather warm- not good for storing creams or other heat sensitive items).

Pros: Fantastic all around stay, incredible hotel with superb location. Great breakfast. A truly great experience. Recommend strongly for couples seeking a romantic place to visit Colmar.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was charming and my room lovely and comfortable! The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We did have breakfast at the hotel which was $18 Euros, but was well worth it. The dining room overlooked the canal, so was very pleasant and picturesque. The food was excellent with a lot of variety, wonderful coffees and pastries! I look forward to staying there again!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location, old historic building dating to 1670, great breakfast, good value.
Cons: WiFi did not work in the room and we found out when we checked out they can put a booster in your room. Too late as we were checking out. Room door #11 door was too tight to close, very hard to operate, just need a carpenter to shave the door. Staff were ok except restaurant which were excellent.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, albeit small, with old fashioned decoration. Cosy! Bathroom very clean and modern, on the small side. Correct and courteous staff. Breakfast nice, but at 08.30 a lot of empty dishes, which should not be the case for a charge of 18€. Also a very good location with many open restaurants nearby, even Monday night off-season.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: WIFI is a joke. Also, there should be a way to get ice yourself.
7,9 Good
Pros: Breakfast service very good and friendly
Cons: Disappointed that having prebooked our evening meal we were put in a small dining room at the front of the hotel and not in the main waterside restaurant

Hôtel Saint-Martin - Colmar - Building
7
8,6 Excellent (1 075 reviews)
R1 777+
Overview Reviews
Hôtel Saint-Martin is in the heart of Colmar, within a 5-minute walk of Saint-Matthews Protestant Church and Little Venice. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Small bed small room... hard to navigate
10,0 Excellent
Pros: THE LOCATION, THE STAFF, THE BUILDING. wE ARE VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS HOTEL.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast cost 12 euros per person so we went out for breakfast instead and found a wonderful market with all kinds of great pastries, produce, etc. With the windows shut, there was no noise despite a noisy tour group that came back to the hotel around 11pm and several outdoor cafes across the street.
Cons: I found some flying bugs in the room and did get several bites on my legs (someone called them water bugs) so I wouldn't recommend opening the windows. The front desk person told us she had called a taxi for us to the train station at 7:45am. One taxi arrived and picked up another guest. When our taxi didn't come, the front desk person admitted that they had only requested one taxi. The same taxi driver came back and we did make our train.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendliness of the staff
9,7 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated on a beautiful cobblestone street in the heart of cute, quaint Colmar. If you visit in December, you'll also be staying next to one of the Christmas markets!
Cons: Breakfast is not included, so just something to be aware of.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly situated in the centre of the lovely town of Colmar, very friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Nice breakfast - try the croissants!
Cons: It can be a bit noisy by night - downside of being smack in the heart of a lively place like Colmar
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Did not dine at the hotel. Loved the location and the staff was most helpful. Bed was a bit too soft but we had an enjoyable time .
Cons: The room keys were hard to operate, probably could use a little graphite or whatever to make them work smoothly.
6,3 Good
Pros: Ideally located in the very centre of Colmar. Car park nearby. Room overlooking typical Alsatian street.
6,5 Good
Pros: It is well maintained for such and old hotel
Cons: Mattress could be newer
5,6 Okay
Pros: Location was excellent for seeing Colmar.
Cons: Hotel staff was less than helpful. Said that giving us directions from the train station was too hard so we were on our own.
6,0 Good
Pros: An old hotel in the centre of Colmar with lots of character. Our bedroom was comfortable, but quite noisy until early morning being right in the centre of the old town.
Cons: We missed air conditioning as it was particularly hot whilst there - but what do you expect in a 400 year old hotel!
6,3 Good
Pros: room had air conditioning. Central location in the old town
6,4 Good
Pros: Centrally located. Very nice rooms in typical style.
Cons:
5,6 Okay
Pros:
Cons: a littel aged
6,4 Good
Pros: Central location in Colmar
Cons:
4,4 Okay
Pros: Very central - well sign-posted within the town
Cons: The parking situation is difficult. The carpark is heavily used by tourists to the town so getting a space is very difficult. I'm also not sure that parking is free (as mentioned on website) as there are parking meters in the carpark.
5,2 Okay
Pros: The location in the middle of the town
Cons:

Pros: It was a pleasure to be right inside the walls of this beautiful town with all the restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. You do however need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Check in was easy and parking close. Would highly recommend staying here.
Cons: Our one room on the front side of the property was a bit noisy even though it was on the second floor
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A great town to explore.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect - right in the middle of town. Its a very comfortable hotel and has a very good restaurant. The breakfast was really good and dinner at the restaurant was very good.
Cons: Internet is not in the rooms but only in the lobby area. the TV is very small.

Cons: No WiFi in the room. They have wifi only in the lobby area
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Position is excellent right in Riquewihr. Staff was excellent pleasant
10,0 Excellent
Pros: actually it’s the first hotel I can tell it is better than the pictures!!! Riquewihr itself is out of this world so the whole experience was awesome I can tell.. the hotel is soooo cozy.. the restaurant serving breakfast is sooo authentic.. lobby is lovely.. staff is amazing.. the room window was sooo pretty.. Would definitely love to be back to this extra ordinary place
Cons: No elevator to the rooms so u carry your own luggage.. internet is limited to lobby area, which actually I couldn’t consider as a bad thing though!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: It's even difficult to describe Riquewihr. It's a time travel to medieval times and it's difficult to choose what to look at. And the hotel is there, inside the medieval city. That's what's to say about the location! Then: perfectly clean rooms, very nice bathroom with a good shower, good bed. The staff was also super friendly! Thank you!
Cons: Would only point that breakfast included would turn the value for money just on the perfect point! Nothing more to point!
6,3 Good
Pros: Great location within Riquweil at a reasonable price. Honor bar is a nice touch and breakfast is functional.
Cons: Old and musty decor, poor insulation, and typically unfriendly staff are all the things you expect in a hotel in France, and that's what you get here. At least they are meeting expectations!

7,5 Good
Pros: Fairly decent hotel with good breakfast Good location just steps from old town Friendly staffs
Cons: We were given a room at the top level, very small in size and with awkward columns. The toilet and bathroom are two separate cells in different locations of the room. Pretty inconvenient, after using the toilet, have to come out and get into the bathroom for hand washing. A bit pricey, not the best value for money
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and friendly, and right next to Place Rapp!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was amazing! The room was clean and spacious. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even were accommodating enough to provide fresh whole milk for our toddler in the morning and evening. Breakfast was excellent and even had a high chair available. This was a very family friendly hotel, with even a small kids corner with a variety of age appropriate toys. Overall, very impressed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good. Especially nice touch was the fresh orange juice. But best was the young woman on afternoon shift who spent a great deal of time with us figuring out how to get our Ouigo rail tickets to Paris the next day. Without her patient help, we would not have been able to print out the tickets that we needed for the next day. She could not have been more professional or more gracious. A real hospitality professional at age 23. Ibis is fortunate to have her as an employee. Also very helpful was woman who checked us in. She invited us to walk down into the garage space to see if we believed we could negotiate the tight spaces. This was quite thoughtful on her part and much appreciated. (The garage was tight but certainly doable.)
Cons: The weather was unseasonably warm so the a/c was off. The room was fine except for lack of air movement.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location
Cons: Proximity to sites we wanted to visit and parking
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean with a great breakfast
Cons: Lack of atmosphere in the bar

8,5 Excellent
Cons: Nice lobby and nice personnel

6,3 Good
Pros: Location was great. Warm & friendly service too.
Cons: Hotel in need of TLC from management. Better quality towels would fit 4 star status as would functioning fridge & safe. Plus, more attention to level of cleanliness/tidiness in breakfast room would be good... cereals & dried fruit containers were uncovered during the day, which was off putting especially as there was an issue with flies. Previous guest had mentioned these areas for improvement so bit perplexed that action wasn’t taken to remedy.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellently and conveniently located in the center of the city; charmingly decorated and designed; room very quiet and original; staff very competent and helpful.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything

Cons: Absolutely nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved this place so much. Staff, location and so clean and comfortable. Such a beautiful place. Loved it. Best place we stayed at so far. We were running late to catch our bus, so one of the lovely ladies popped us in her own car and took us to the bus stop so we wouldn't miss it.

Pros: Loved the property,it’s big spacious room and it’s ambience
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Kettle and good Illy coffee maker in room, also microwave to heat up a meal and a small sink. (But would it hurt to supply a couple of plates or at least a knife and fork?) Excellent boulangerie/patisserie literally a few yards/metres around the corner towards the old town of Colmar if you prefer a smaller, and better quality, breakfast in your room!
Cons: Shortage of staff at reception. One lady in the morning was serving coffees in the lounge, helping people with the guest computer in the lobby, answering guest queries - and checking people out! Not her fault that checking out took a while ...
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Modern hotel an easy walk from the center of Colmar, which is lovely. Since it was a weekend we could easily park for free along the street nearby.

Cons: Bed was a little hard.

Cons: Insufficient room lighting (no main ceiling light, only task lighting like most European hotels we’ve stayed in) Expensive laundry prices (no different to other hotels in Europe), and nearest coin laundries are a driving distance away in the Colmar town centre

Cons: The room was too warm even with the windows open. It almost felt as though the heat was on in spite of turning the thermostat down to the lowest temperature.

Pros: We stayed in the suite, very spacious one. Very helpful and supportive staff, all questions answered. We received great help with our car parking, even though the hotel is located in the center of an ancient town, we were allowed to park right at the front of the hotel. Very tasty breakfast, everything is fresh and regularly refilled. Highly recommended!
Cons: Everything was perfect!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and modern hotel. Lovely room. Good breakfast in relaxed surroundings. Hotel was within walking distance of the centre of Colmar.
Cons: The underground car park is a bit confusing to find as there is a no entry sign on the street that you need to ignore as it has a small sign underneath stating it applies further up the street!? The booking in was not a friendly experience. We were left waiting as no one was at the desk and the members of staff we could see did not acknowledge us. When we (jokingly) referred to our confusion regarding car parking it was met with little sympathy.
