Pros: This place is amazing! The house and rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The grounds are breathtaking. The food was excellent.
Cons: Maid service slammed doors while cleaning mid day while we were napping. The house is directly under a flight path which is loud at times. The boat tour was nice, but the captain could have been way more personable and informative for the price we paid.

Pros: Landscape, luxurious rooms
Cons: Service is slow
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Cliveden is absolutely the best, its that simple. The staff are professional and a joy. the food was excellent. the room we had was so spacious and of the highest quality. I kid you not, the circular bath, set in a turret in the walls, was over 2 meters across and SO LUXURIOUS. The spa was also excellent. We are members at Champney's and there is no comparison, Cliveden knocked it into a cocked-hat! Just hold your breath when you pay and do it with grace as you will be rewarded for the expense.
Cons: We had to leave.

5,0 Okay
Cons: Having booked an executive TWIN-BEDDED executive room, on arrival we were informed one wasn't available. We had no option but to accept a double-bedded room which was totally unsuitable. The hotel lay the blame with booking.com.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location and room perfectly adequate for our needs. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Cons: Check in! Despite having confirmation from both booking.com and the hotel itself, they could not find any record of our reservation. Frustrating all round and an unnecessary stressful check in experience.

Cons: No heating nor proper lighting in room. Cooked breakfast looked very unappetising.
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The common lounge areas with bar are particularly spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating. There was a good range of bar food available, and we thought that every member of staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and we had a peaceful night's sleep.
Cons: Nothing. We were very satisfied.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Majority of UK hotels are dirty and neglected. But not this one. It is clean with all the facilities in quite good condition. Staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast fresh and tasty. Good choice for 1-2 days stay. Parking big enough and no problem to find place for you.
Cons: There could be more choices for breakfast, but comparing to other UK hotels where only English breakfast is served, Holiday Inn offers excellent choice. Hotel is located a little far from the city centre so if your destination is High Wycombe you need to use a car - if you have one you can park in Eden shopping centre when plan to go to the city.

6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was basic but adequate and the lady ( sorry don't know her name) was very friendly. Location was very good, close to all amenities but nice and quiet.
Cons: Would have liked a cooked breakfast option - veggie/full English. The bathroom and shower was very small.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good basic B&B, clean and comfortable. Nice shower, has everything you need for a overnight stay. Value for money for the price. Breakfast is OK. Cooked eggs with toast, croissants, cereals etc. Plenty of parking on site.
Cons: For the price there is nothing to critisize.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: It's a nice B+B style place in a suitable location, quiet enough, staff member was fantastic. Only stayed the one night for a celebration, but couldn't find a fault other than the breakfast (explained below).
Cons: Breakfast... while the cereals, yogurts and other things were fine, the only hot food available was toast and eggs. Would be nice to have at least sausages and bacon available, even better if it had beans, hash browns etc... to give a good start to the day.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, comfy bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful proprietor, clean and comfortable.
7,5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was as advertise it was all that i required the lady running the guesthouse was very pleasant and helpful . My room was clean and comfortable
Cons: nothing to dislike
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, nothing elaborate, but good basic cereal, jams & marmalade, toast, croissants. Coffee was excellent but a shame it was brewed in a single cup coffee press as a second cup would have been nice some mornings. A nice touch was that we were offered every morning a choice of poached, scrambled or boiled eggs which made the continental breakfast even better.
Cons: The wifi was very weak in our 2nd floor bedroom which caused me some problems with down loading various documents that I needed to look at &the ethernet connection wasn't any better. I was going to try down in the dining room but didnt get around to it so not sure if the signal was better there. I was hoping to have a choice of meats & cheeses with my continental breakfast but in the end had sufficient to eat with the choice on the breakfast buffet table.

Pros: The chef and plumber were truly polite
Cons: I had a short circuit in my room twice and it was the extractor in the bathroom. When the guy came to check it, the plastic of the extractor cover had burned and was blackened. Very dangerous!! Could have burned the room down. Overall this hotel needs a very serious overhaul. It needs a Gordon Ramsey sorting out The

Pros: You get what you pay for.
Cons: Not a good place for contractors who turn up in a van. Very narrow entrance where bigger van wont fit and a parking at the back of the property it's a heaven for thieves. Not a single light and covered by massive bushes. Not worth to pay for the breakfast. We know that from previous experience so we didn't book this time. The front doors doesn't shut properly so it stays unlocked the whole night. Not really safe.

Located only 45 minutes from central London, in East Berkshire, with great access to Henley on Thames, Maidenhead. Probably the best known building in Hurley, The Olde Bell first opened its doors in 1135 Ad, as a guest house for visitors to the nearby Benedictine Priory. For hundreds of years, the ringing of the Sanctus Bell signaled to the monks that an important visitor had arrived in the village and was on his way to call at their monastic retreat beside the River Thames. The Sanctus Bell still hangs over the door of The Olde Bell, a sign of welcome and refreshment to travellers. The Olde Bell was an important staging point on the Oxford to London route, with the last recorded schedule in 1890. During World War Two, famous guests at The Olde Bell included Sir Winston Churchill, Dwight D Eisenhower & Colonel Elliot Roosevelt, son of the war-time President, who were all visiting Ladye Place mansion, next to the church, which was being used as a secret U.S intelligence base. Also, during War times, Arms production was dispersed from the Midlands, to escape enemy bombings, and the Two barns were turned into a small arms factory, producing bullets, with a labour force of Hurley ladies. The olde bell has had many owners during its long history, but despite its many changes of ownership, it still keeps to the traditions of st. benedict, that true hospitality be provided to travellers and strangers.

Pros: Breakfast good. Location excellent
Cons: Could do with decorating in areas, and perhaps a new carpet, but didn't detract from my stay.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: Accommodation is very, very basic. Suited overnight stay for tradesmen for which there were many. Suited us as we did not wish to drive too far after arriving at Heathrow
7,1 Good
Pros: I have to say that the manager I dealt with was fab, I'd booked my room for the wrong night and she moved it without any issues at all, so thank you for that. Breakfast choice and quality was fantastic. Tea and coffee in the room. Free car parking available and also free wifi. Bed was comfortable however mattress was a bit lumpy from the springs in places. Location for were I needed was ideal and easy to get to
Cons: Hotel is dated and really needs a good spruce up and better furniture. Sofas in in reception area where ripped and old. Damp on the ceiling in reception. My room had stains on the carpet, flaking and cracked paint on the skirting boards. stained toilet basin. worn enamel on the bath so the rusty metal underneath was showing. Damp on the bathroom ceiling. Walls not very sound proof as I could hear another guest snoring through the night. I would say judging by the vehicles in the car park and the condition of the hotel its mainly used by contractors working in building sites etc

8,0 Excellent
Pros: It was close to where my friends live. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean with fresh towels. The breakfast was slightly greasy (scrambled eggs) and the staff were friendly and helpful. Tea, coffee and fridge in the room also.
Cons: Situated too close to main road lots of traffic noise all the time. Shower nozzle faced the wrong way so you and the floor got soaked before you got in the shower. There was also building work going on at the back of the hotel so there was noise coming from that and the men who was working on the site. ( 7am) in the morning.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Waitress was friendly and the delicious breakfast was served quickly. This was important to me so that I wasn't delayed. Yummy and perfect.
Cons: There was no lift and my room was on the top floor. The stairs were quite narrow, particularly when I was taking my bags upstairs. I may have missed that it said no lift on the booking but if not, it needs to be highlighted as would be a problem for anyone less able.

Pros: Location perfect close to M40. Comfy bed Good bar food

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff friendly, good value for money. Rooms a little tired but warm and cosy with all facilities.
Cons: Room wasn't serviced, not really a problem but we were desperate for a cuppa.
5,0 Okay
Pros: It was convenient to get to the Motorway. Quiet location. Large TV
Cons: Not very clean. Tea cups in the room were left dirty after the first night. The carpet was not vacuumed during my three night stay (dirt on carpet from 1st night). Shower screen and tile grout haven't been cleaned for a very long time. Rooms are tired and have not been decorated for some time. Staff were polite but not friendly. Beer option was limited and not very good.
6,0 Good
Pros: Just off the M40 in amazing countryside, the perfect setting for a weekend away with gentle hikes in the Chilterns; or an ideal night stop-off if walking the Chilterns Way, as it sits right on the route. There are extensive woods, rolling hills, deep valleys, a beautiful windmill and country pubs nearby. To the south of Ibstone the country roads and villages kid you that you could be in remote Scotland or Wales. The pub/inn is very well place to enjoy the area, and the room was clean and comfortable, with nicely laundered linen and towels, shampoo and soap.
Cons: The downside was the way the rest of the establishment is being run - the stairs and corridor are showing their wear and tear. Breakfast was rather disorganised, although was a good continental (English is £5 extra). The pub/restaurant is run at a very low key level, so we ended up eating in nearby Stockenchurch one night and "self-catering" from Tesco local the other. There are some amazing looking gastro pubs in two close historic villages too, but we went for Indian rather than English cooking.
7,5 Good
Pros: The rooms were lovely and well kept and clearly recently been modernised. The pub and restaurant were comfortable, although the menu was limited. The food, although basic, was very good; well cooked with good portions. Prices are reasonable with a reasonable choice of wines. Space to eat in the pub is very limited with just two tables big enough to accommodate 4 people.
Cons: No real ale!
