Just arrived home from a weeks all inclusive stay at The Marathon Hotel. So sad to be home after such a fantastic stay. On arrival we were greeted by smiling faces on reception and shown to our rooms efficiently. Rooms maybe slightly small, but we didn’t spend much time in them anyway. Exceptionally clean, fresh sheets and towels every day. Air conditioning worked at no extra charge. Safe to say we thoroughly enjoyed meal times, always greeted by the restaurant manager who took time to chat with the guests every day. Food was great, a variety of choices, always tasty and enjoyable. Gyros and chips around the pool was also a nice addition. MASSIVE thanks to Elly at the pool side bar, such a lovely lady and always had a smile on her face (we will be sure to send you a wedding picture Elly!) It was so clear how hard working all the staff at The Marathon are. Can’t thank you all enough for such a lovely stay.
Only two criticisms would be some of the sun beds are broke which was a small pain, and limited drinks for all inclusive. This wasn’t a massive problem for me as I’m not a huge drinker but I can imagine may be an issue for some.
The pictures do not do the hotel justice, it is lovely here. Staff are friendly and it never feels crowded even when at full capacity. Less than ten minutes stroll to the beach past many lovely shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
The free souvlaki at the pool area from 10am to 5pm
Wifi almost unusable Food in all inclusive self service area, not very tasty. Dinner ending time (9pm) somehow early and restricting.
All was excelent staff, drinks, foods and Minas gyros the best... Surprice in the Restaurant by bithday my daughters...
Wifi not hard...
Good location and clean rooms, staff superb and work really hard all day and night. Pool area and sun beds are comfy if you get the brown ones. We was in room 222 air con didn’t work at first but as soon as I spoke to somebody about it it was fixed. Bus stop right outside for faliraki or Rhodes. All in all the hotel was fine. Just cost me extra eating out.
Food catered for Eastern European’s if your from the uk you won’t understand some of the concoctions. Ended up eating out. Maybe we are just spoiled in the uk with the variety of food we can have.
