Pros: If you read all the reviews about this hotel on the Internet, your expectations will be pretty high. Yet even so, they will probably be exceeded by the experience. We were accommodated way ahead of our check in time, greeted by name upon arrival and quickly ushered up to our room where fresh apples were waiting for us. Within a minute of arriving we were served tea to go with the apples. An amazing way to be welcomed. The room featured all sorts of unexpected surprises, like a fax/copy machine, an integrated TV above the bath, top of range coffee machine, full set of stationery, two sets of gowns.. coasters that pull out of of the couch, proximity sensitive touchscreens through the room... not enough time to explore all. The heated indoor pool, we must have missed this in the marketing materials: they play beautiful tunes under water! You hear nothing above the water, you have to submerge - and the party starts. You are greeted on arrival, fresh water is brought to you (after your pool slippers of course). We attended the Afternoon Tea. There are plenty of reviews online. They’re all true. Fresh ingredients, delicious preparation, attentive staff, live chamber music, tea served in silverware... long queues of awaiting patrons (booking way in advance is highly recommended). A truly memorable experience.

Pros: Impeccable service, fantastic restaurants and the Christmas decoration is simple, elegant and magical. Enjoyed the live performances with choirs, musicians and the solo singers. Finally, having a photo with the big friendly teddy with my family. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel even made it more special by giving us a complimentary upgrade. It will definitely give us wonderful memories of this beautiful hotel and the people who worked there a big thank you for their service.

Cons: The gym was under renovation but instead we were allow to use the health spa sauna which was amazing! Would like to try out the health Spa but I thought it was out of our price range, maybe, next time the health spa will introduce a taster session for the new guests. The health spa worker was very helpful and made me feel at ease and comfortable. Thank you again. Would like some complimentary health classes and cooking lessons included in the stay.

Cons: Staff were rude. They couldn't find my reservation. Waited 45 minutes for them to sort out the problem (their reservation system did not like I booked the hotel 3 hours before I arrived). They could have at least offered a drink or snack or something instead of making me stand around waiting for them to sort out the problem.

Pros: It’s a very nice hotel with a great pool and good location. But the rooms feel quite dated and old. We tried to book a massage but they were booked out our entire stay which was disappointing. I booked a room with breakfast on booking.com but when I checked in they told me I had to pay. Fortunately the receptionist was lovely and gave it to us complimentary.

Cons: While the decor is lovely the rooms are not brilliantly set up. The showers are small. The aircon wouldn't get the room below perhaps 20c. The focus of the room is the view so the TV is at an angle. No shaver socket. That kind of thing.

Pros: This is my regular hotel, when I visit HK. The location is good, close to Victoria Park & Causeway Bay. In my opinion it has the best rooftop bar in HK with sensational views. The rooms are a decent size, clean and comfortable. The staff are excellent. Great and fairly good value breakfast. Book at the right time and this hotel can be good value. A few minutes walk to the underground, better still the (old) trams.

Pros: I stayed for 9 nights. I loved the Cleanliness of the place. They deep cleaned my room every single day. The staff there are very helpful and nice people with always smiles on their faces. They will always hold / open the door when someone is coming in or going out. I was going Downtown by myself, so everytime I'm going out I would go and ask the front desk they will explain to me with a map how I can get to my choosen destination depending on the kind of transportation I would like to use.

Pros: This is definitely a luxury hotel; it looks and feels like one from the amenities in the room to the lobby and the available restaurants in the building. The location was great because of its proximity to the MTR station, which is one of my personal favorite things about Hong Kong so I didn't mind. It's not within real walking distance of tourist attractions or downtown in Causeway Bay or Central, but the MTR and hotel shuttles make it very easy to get there. The breakfast buffet was particularly good and reasonably priced (compared to American hotels). Seems like a nice place to host a business event.

Cons: This is a good hotel, the views from the rooms are fine, but recent building development has restricted the original views, this is a minor issue and wouldn’t stop me booking this hotel. Can be a wait to get a taxi on occasion, but the hotel has shuttle buses, the underground is 3 mins walk so not an issue unless getting a taxi is important. Overall this is a very good hotel.

Cons: We had a great stay, but a lot of it was due to promotions. Our room had free wifi and we had a special rate since I booked far ahead of time. The wifi signal could be stronger, and the TV channels were a bit limited. There was construction next to the hotel, which somewhat took away from the otherwise nice view of the harbor. The view did have a highway between the room and harbor though, so don't go in expecting a harborfront room.

Cons: (1) given the handicapped room. The basin was too low for washing (2) The second day after the room cleaning of room 765, 2 women’s underwear were found (3) room 755 had bloodstain on the beige bed underskirt. (4) only one elevator worked as the other one under maintenance- major waits and inconvenience as had to wait a couple of trips due to it being full (5) cockroach in the elevator near the pool (6) the green clean room special only offered $50 hkd on the buffet... nothing else.

Cons: First off we booked for 10/21-23 and my email confirmarion and screen shot of booking all confirmed this. When we went to check in , they told us that booking was for 11/4-6. I showed them the confirmation then they told us we needed to take the issue up with kayak. After arguing for 3 hours(i dont give up) they finally gave us the room. The hotel is NOT a 5 star (1star) and the pictures are MISLEADING. Theoughout the stay the staff was awful. The hotel is also filled with mainlanders which makes it extremely noisy and crowded. Avoid avoid avoid. I couldnt take another day so in the end I booked the shangri-la.

Pros: Unbeatable value for money at the moment, even though I was in one of the old rooms that are awaiting refurbishment. Pros: This hotel is very well situated in Wanchai. It is just moments walk from the MTR and easy to get a taxi as well. It is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it clean and relatively comfortable. If nightlife is in your plans, you are at "ground zero" for the club scene in WC. Staff is efficient if not overly warm. I have stayed at this hotel and for me it always depends on the price. If I get the room at a good rate, I will stay, if not there are other hotels in the area that are more competitive.

You can hear the road clearly and also what’s going on in the corridor And the flushing of the toilets and the showering of other rooms makes a lot of noise. Quietness is very important to me. There wasn’t a switch off all lights button and the lights didn’t seem to go out by themselves when you leave. Some buttons were broken or didn’t work, the tap was leaking. The latter are minor things but they add on to my overall impression of my experience.

Cons: Cleanliness need to improve because found few loss hair in the bed sheet when i first step in. The sound insulation of the room is not good, easily heard sound of people walking around and talking in the corridor. Lighting in the room can be improve as well.

Cons: It is very ordinary for a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in HK many times, this was the smallest room and smallest beds. Location is good if you are going to the Exhibition Centre, otherwise not near anything much. Hong Kong has many places that will be better for the same money.

Cons: The room smelled badly of smoke the entire time we were there, we informed reception and their solution was to put the air con on full blast meaning the room was very cold. View from the room was spoilt by the unclean windows which was a shame. Expected more for the money we paid.

Cons: I stayed 4 nights in total in two separate weeks. The beds were bad and so smaller than usual. I was promised a queen bed and got tiny twin beds (I am 6.5ft). The room was only ready at 2pm both stays. But the worst was the breakfast experience. I have never seen such a bad offer. This should not be called a Best Western and certainly not a 3 stars.

Cons: The room was tiny, but that was expected. What wasn't expected was the absolutely terrible mattress. If there had been enough floor space I would have slept on the floor rather than this bumpy, lumpy mess. The room smelt terrible. In the shower you had to choose between water pressure or warm water, you couldn't get both. The staff were abrupt, if not outright rude. I've travelled to over 100 cities and stayed in many, many hotels, including quite a few Best Westerns. This would easily be in the bottom 1% - other than a motel in Atlantic City where there was a murder the night we stayed there I honestly cannot think of a worse hotel experience.

Cons: Staff were rude. They checked me in early, but did not give me my room key because the room was not "ready" yet. Asked to come back after 3. OK, fair enough. Came back around 6pm (I could not make it between 3~6pm), and they made me wait in line behind a tour group of about 50 Chinese tourists to get my key. they had 2 desk staff members working. Ridiculous.

Location is good to shopping. But if you plan on buying a lot of stuff beware there is no space in the hotel room to put it.
