Pros: Lovely location on a beautiful Island. We had a Ocean view room which was lovely. Had dinner in the restaurant as arrived late. Slept well as beds were very comfortable. Staff on reception were very accommodating as we didn’t fly home until 11pm and they kept our bags whilst we visited HK Island. We also showered in the fitness centre before we left for the airport.

Pros: We were given a free upgrade so cannot comment on a standard room, the hotel is on a lovely island in Hong Kong. There is a courtesy bus to the nearest metro station plus a good local bus service. The hotel facilities are good and restaurant food was very good as well. Staff were helpful and views from room were lovely.

Cons: There was no milk supplied for our room to have with the coffee and tea, which having stayed in many other hotels that always supply milk, we found this odd When we rang the front desk in the evening to ask for some milk, we were told we couldn't get milk till the following day. Even though it's a small thing, it was annoying as we were very tired after a very long flight and just wanted a nice hot drink before sleeping, without having to ring for room service.

Cons: The downside is due to location not easy to sightsee in other parts of Hong Kong although good for the big Budha and some lovely walks. Price maybe a little high for a standard room.

Has its own swimming pool, gym and kids play room. Lovely for the nurse to take the kids to play at while the adults get their stuff done. It’s a little dated but overall I enjoyed my stay. It sits right on top of a mall with countless restaurants and shops. There is also a public park behind it with amenities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, a not so small pond where enthusiasts sail their boats, as well a a race car track for RC cars. The staff are very friendly however, google translate will go a long way just in case you get stuck in a situation speaking to a not-very-good-English speaker. In spite of this barrier, they go out of their way to ensure you are sorted out and well served. Shuttle service provided for about HK$100 to the airport. So convenient! Will definitely be staying here again!

Cons: Don't go to the buffet diner, it's way overpriced!! when asking if I could borrow an umbrella the staff told me to go out and buy one myself.... This was really stupid, since they had lots of them standing. I's too far from the nice and lively parts of Hong Kong. The closest subway station takes about half an hour walking. And then you easily spend an hour in the subway. So location totally sucks! Also the shower in the bath is very inconvenient. In total the hotel is way overpriced for the value you get.

Cons: We weren’t given any info when checking in in regards to the location of the pool, gym, restaurant etc and had to chase this up. The hotel is so far out of the way and all things touristy were a long drive. There is a mall and restaurants attached to the building but no one spoke English and weren’t as friendly to tourists as we had encountered in other areas of Hong Kong. The bed was also as hard as a rock. Probably a good stay for locals but we won’t visit again.

Cons: The hotel has a shuttle service but unfortunately didn’t work for us as the times are a bit random. Sometimes with gaps of over 3 hours. Upon arrival our first room was with the smoke detector covered as someone smoked inside. The bed shits were smelling like someone has been sleeping there for days. Reception was quick in changing the room once we complained about it. The hotel is is two separate buildings and an outdoor walk crossing a square from one building to another.

I left a few pieces of clothing behind, emailed the next morning, received no reply, went back to the hotel in the evening but the "yes, we received our email but haven't had time to reply" and now the "shift had changed" so the person who cleaned the room wasn't there. Come back in the morning . In other words, there's no proper system for handing in goods left behind. Any decent hotel handles this on a daily basis. I returned again the following morning and the items were found. A couple of hours later I received an email to say that nothing was found in my room. So there's no system, and a standard "nothing found" reply. If I had not been in the village still, I would have lost my things. Adequate for a modest family holiday, without any luxury. Breakfast mediocre but acceptable at the special rate (I wouldn't pay the full rate, it's not worth it). Aside from the swimming pool, it's a very ordinary mid-range hotel with no extras. The best aspect is that it's right on the beach (Silvermine Beach, Mui Wo), close to the village and access to a small but good range of restaurants. A rural relaxing spot.

Pros: It's not an amazing hotel for sure, but it's an amazing deal. Very cheap and the near the airport (25 minute taxi ride) so if you need to crash there for a night it's great. And, for the price, I was kind of surprised at how beautiful the area is. It's right on the beach. When I booked it...I literally just needed a roof to sleep under before my next flight...so I went cheap...and I was very surprised at how beautiful of a location this is. Wished I could have hung out there for a day.

Cons: The hotel is beyond terrible, is super rundown, the staff is rude and useless. They told us we had to pay 1000hkdollars for the sheets or cleaned them ourselves. When I checked them out they were dirty and ripped. They wanted us to pay for old sheets like they were new. They don’t clean at all. Under the bed was disgusting, it was so dirty that I didn’t let my toddler crawl, super yuk!!! We washed the sheets in our bathtub very easily, they don’t wash the sheets between guests. There are other better places around to stay.

Cons: The receptionist that we checked in with was very impolite. We checked in after 9pm & she would not allow a late check out. The room did not look like the pictures. You cannot see anything from the deck outside your room with all the shrubs. There is no separation so everyone can see into your room if the curtain is open. No bath tubs even though it's a kid friendly hotel. There is a shower but no shower caps or hand towels available. There is a kettle & fridge but no cups/mugs etc.

Cons: Overall establishment very shabby and run down. Needs totally renovating inside and out. Shower head at very low level. I am only 5ft 3 and was pretty much at waist height. Expensive for what it was... pay the extra for somewhere else if you intend staying more then 1 night!

Cons: It's 30 minutes away from the airport. Budget accomodation to just spend a night or so. Bathroom is small. Curtains are really dirty. Above local restaurants and bars so lot of noise at night.

Cons: Very difficult to find - I took bus from airport (about $3 but takes over an hour due to numerous stops. Took taxi back - $20 but only 20 minutes). I spent over hour &half trying to find it - should have better directions. Finally a young fellow who worked at nearby hotel took me there when he got off work. Was soaked due to humidity & lugging my suitcase around. By time I got there only had time to shower & sleep so never got to enjoy area. Room was not as clean as it should be - hair on floor, dirty stairs, poor upkeep in general. No breakfast included - would have been nice . They had a hot water caraff in room - would have been nice to have coffee with it. Staff friendly & helpful - young gal carried my suitcase up stairs & got me a taxi very quickly when leaving.

Cons: The shower room/toilet are old and unclean which don’t show in the website. The room interior design needs improvement. The location/area is not pleasant and smelly. The beds are hard and unsure if the beddings were freshly made.
