9,3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location! Less than 10 minute walk to the beach and very central to everything else. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and it was just a really cozy place to stay. We had a room with private bathroom and it was perfect. We also really appreciated having beach towels, umbrella and a small supply of plates/cups/cutlery to have light meals in our room. Was also very quiet at night. Loved this tiny, family run guesthouse!
Cons: Nothing! Price was a bit high, but less than many places we looked at .Just a factor of being in San Sebastian in the summer.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent. Facilities great and Luis couldn't have been more helpful
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like

Pros: The rooms as well as the public areas were beautiful.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location and service
Cons: Room rate
8,3 Excellent
Pros: we liked the building, the décor, the service, the location above all, we liked the staff and the fact that they have been very helpful across the process. Before our stay, they were helpful in managing a change of room, in managing a change of dates, and during the stay in dealing/responding to some issues that we had with the room
Cons: too expensive even for such a luxury property and with some sound proofing issues in our room
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was delicious.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location. Facilities like gym. Breakfast- rich
Cons: Staff at check in / checkout (not welcoming, couple of robotic questions but no actual interest ). Breakfast service - slow ( needed to ask repeatedly for the coffee while we gave up waiting for a pancake which never came)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A luxury hotel for a very special anniversary with my wife that I hoped would be very special. From the minute we arrived nothing was to much trouble. Would pay what we paid for that type of service and luxury
Cons: Nothing really
9,5 Excellent
Pros: everything
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, short walking distance to the town centre and beaches. Pleasant surroundings for a walk as well. The restaurants and facilities are very nice too.
Cons: Not much really... I found having to use the card for lifts a little pointless given you can use the stairs. I didn't get a chance to visit the gym/spa.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: absolutely exceptional accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, parking in a safe place in front of the hotel, close to the center and the beach, perfect breakfast, quiet and elegant place for a romantic holiday.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It’s quiet here. They allow you to take bicycles for the day and night so if you want to go to dinner, you just bike to town. The rooms are super nice! So clean!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: All major services and room facilities can be clearly rated as 5 stars
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail, the immediate action upon request
Cons: The breakfast was standard, but the service was forgetful, waiting for your order that never came, had to reorder more than twice. I was assured that the management would improve based on my departure note
7,5 Good
Pros: The staff were very kind. The room was old but clean.
Cons: The price
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, great breakfast, great shower. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, we took their bicycles with out any extra charge And using them made the way to old city much faster.
Cons: A bit far from the center, 20 minutes walk . We took their bicycles, but it was a bit difficult when it was raining.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolute everything, the location away from the crazy busy beachfront and within walking distance. Our room was very comfortable, and clean, nice products in the bathroom. The staff were absolutely outstanding, extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast as well.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: A gem of a hotel. Lovely grounds. Free parking. Exceeded expectations.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed at Villa Soro for 4 nights. The main building is elegant with a very warm atmosphere. I had a corner room on the first floor of the newer building which had it owns semi-private outdoor space. Both were nice. The bedroom and bathroom were of good size and quite utilitarian. The newer house has no street noise, though the area is sufficiently quiet that I would be surprised if the original house is affected by traffic noise. The staff is very polite and helpful. I chose to stay at the Villa as I thought I might find interesting people with whom to talk. Breakfast seemed like an obvious time but the bar is actually pretty lively at night. My wish was fulfilled. Members of The Morgan Motor Club were there with their glorious convertibles (British racing green, of course) and there were 2 architects from Stockholm on their way to Bilbao.
Cons: My bathroom was not adequately cleaned. I suppose this was due to the maid believing that Americans only take showers. However, there were enough clues that I take baths. The tub wasn't cleaned (or not to my standards) and neither q-tips nor hand soap were replaced in a timely matter.. I found there was too much noise transmitted from the room or rooms above which may have been just the luck of the draw in whose overhead. Note that this really is a residential area and you will have a good 30 minute walk to the bus station or even most restaurants.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Superb place to stay and great location
Casa Rural Iketxe - Hondarribia - Building

10,0 Excellent
Pros: A comfortable stay. Easy to find with Google maps. Nice grounds and garden. Attentive hosts. Tasty breakfast. We were able to use the fridge in the kitchen to chill our drinks. Walking distance (about half an hour) from beautiful medieval town of Hondarribia.
Cons: The WiFi signal in the bedroom was not very strong. But who cares about WiFi in setting like this?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fatima and Paxti were marvellous hosts, with all the right information to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was a highlight!
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Just like staying in a home in the countryside away from everything. The couple that ran the place were incredible and very accommodating. The perfect place to start the Camino Norte.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent, comfortable farm house stay, like a home from home, run by Fatima and Patxi, a wonderful welcoming couple.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fatima and Patxi are the most wonderful hosts you could hope for. They are so warm and kind and willing to help you with suggestions if you like. We were in a room on the main floor with a large terrace, which was amazing to relax on with some wine before dinner!
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Charm of the couple - Fatima and husband - who run this place. Peaceful, rural - if not remote - location. B&B only, so evening meal without 15 mins driving into town was at a popular bar 200 yards walk through a field. Menu simple, served by very friendly staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: When we arrived at this traditional Basque country house we were welcomed and shown to our bedroom with en suite bathroom and sitting room. As we stayed 2 days we could experience the local area and further afield to get to know a little of Navarre. The hosts were extremely pleasant and our little spanish was well received. Excellent breakfast. The location has been fantastic as it was quite apart from other properties, situated overlooking the little town. Truly picturesque and you can see the stars at night.
Cons: A minor point but our sat nav could not cope properly and we missed a couple of arrows, so had to back track a couple of times
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fatima greeted us immediately and was very personable. She exercised our Spanish speaking abilities which was extra fun. She told us about the area, gave us a map, and even came to rescue us when we accidentally left our car in a supermarket garage over night.
Cons: The bed wasn't super comfy.

Pros: Modern, quiet, great staff, well located
Cons: Room smallish for two people, but ok for short trip.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really great hotel enjoyed all aspects. Quiet and relaxing. Breakfast one of the best yet on our trip. Definitely recommend staying here
Cons: Bath a little slippery when showering.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: very friendly staff
Cons: A mirror in bedroom that did not steam up Full coffee pots Uncooked fish stopped restaurant being excellent
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a free welcome drink and the breakfast was really good.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice hotel. The basic room is pretty small for a 4 star hotel. It would be nice to have a luggage rack. The last night we stayed in the junior suite and it was excellent. I would choose it next time. The breakfast was very good especially the fresh orange juice squeezer. Dinner was good. I love the location. Quiet, good area, good scenery especially from the rooftop. Easy access to downtown and the reception was great about providing information. One night we stayed was Saturday and a wedding took all the parking. We realize that any hotel with facilities will be having a wedding in the summer Saturday and ran in to the same problem at other hotels.
Cons: see above
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the great size of the room and the bed has been huge and comfortable! As we were travelling for several weeks it came as a good surprise that we could store the content of our big suitcases! The hotel is very tastefully decorated, staff super friendly, breakfast perfect! Within a few minutes walking we were in the center of Hondarrabia where we could indulge in great tapas. We liked it all and cannot complain a bit!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, easy access to the old town, clean rooms, nice garden and terrace Free parking in the garage
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent, within walking distance of the historic center of Hondarrabia, which is a cute well preserved fishing town directly across Hendaye on the French side of the river. People are very nice and the food choice is great and excellent!
Cons: Nothing negative to report, except that on a Sunday night the hotel restaurant had limited service. It gave us the opportunity to discover the old town, which is worth more time than we were able to spend!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The only hotel in 2 weeks that sweeps under the bed..... Sorry asthmatics notice these things. Staff absolutely brilliant. Help with our day trip to San Sebastian plus best tapas bars to visit but frankly you will find that all are good
Cons: That the dark chocolate ice-cream was soooooo good. I need more steps
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, and very modern. Room was comfortable, and everyone that worked there was friendly. Great restaurant, and comfortable bar area.
Cons: Difficult to find in the dark.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and great location. The housekeeper was friendly and helpful
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, friendly staff, great coffee area, charming, albeit small, room.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic, air conditioning worked really well, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms always kept clean, very quiet at night time despite being near busy place, nice touch that the drinks in the mini bar are complimentary. Lovely pillows.
Cons: Bed was a tad hard for my liking but that is personal preference. Would have liked some diet drinks in the fridge as one of the party is diabetic. Apart from that, fantastic.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, excellent air conditioning. Free Lavazza coffee machine. Free soft drinks and water in the mini bar. Impressive operation in a converted flat straddling the casco viejo and the Belle Epoque ensanche.
Cons: The toilet ran and they did not manage to fix it during my stay. A bit of noise from doors closing in the hallway but generally the room was quiet. The price seemed high to me by Spanish standards, but it was the best I could find in relatively-pricey San Sebastian...
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is fantastic. Vehicle access to the property but on edge of old town. A few steps to the hub of San Sebastián. Also train station across the road.
Cons: The room is well fitted, but tight on space for suitcases. If you travel light then no problem.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent central location, near bus and train stations.
Cons: Sound proofing between rooms was only fair. . Excellent sound proofing with the windows to the exterior.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Very central location , friendly staff and very clean . Easy to find
Cons: Only drawback was being easily able to hear people going in and out with their suitcases. Didn’t really bother us but could be an issue for some people
8,8 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION!!! Superb!! Room was very clean with beautiful balcony view. Small but we spent little time there. Complimentary coffee, water and tea/cola were a nice touch. Front desk was very polite and helpful. Overall very nice!
Cons: Small room with very little space to move. No Kleenex - hard to come by in Europe I believe- and no bathroom amenities- ie lotions. Beds not the most comfortable but we’re ok. Very basic especially for the price but the location and cleanliness made up for it.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The host was very helpful, he gave us great recommendations. The room was spacious. We were given complimentary drinks everyday. The location was perfect! Very central. The price, all of it was good and we really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: The bathroom was very clean and we were given plenty of towels, however the shower door or drain maybe needs a look as there was always quite a bit of water on the floor after use. That’s all, loved everything else!

9,5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing Hotel on the promenade at La Concha Beach. Our corner suite room was very luxurious with a partial sea view. Enjoyed every minute of our visit and will certainly be back to stay at Hotel Londres
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The awesome location. Rooms with a view of La Concha Beach are well and truly worth the extra. Close to everything including supermarket and of course the old town where you can experience the best food in the world.

10,0 Excellent
Cons: Wonderful !
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in the very heart of the embankment, just hundred meters from old town. The view from rooms with sea view is stunning. The stuff was friendly and agreed to upgrade the room because of municipal construction works noise at another side of the building.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location was fantastic, very close to old town and great view of the ocean.
Cons: There was construction next door and in front of the hotel.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Location staff
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent and the bed was massive. The breakfast was good although the dining room does get busy.
Cons: We had paid for a room with a balcony but due to construction work going on outside we were not able to use it. I appreciate that it wasn’t work being carried out by the hotel but they must have been made aware it was happening well in advance (it was the construction of a new subway so not insignificant). Not only was it not mentioned when we checked in but we were not even given the chance to upgrade. Not only that I had received an email from them a few days earlier asking if I needed anything and had replied asking them about an upgrade to a sea view and they had not even bothered to respond. For a little over 1000 euros for 3 days I expected better!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The view over the bay from the balcony windows. The room was of a generous size and the 5th floor was quiet.. The staff were also very helpful.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfort, location, staff
Cons: Price of parking and breakfast

Overview Reviews
This former palace dating back to 14th-15th century is located in historic Hondarribia, enjoying views over the river Bidasoa and to France. Guests can enjoy an on site gastrolounge. The original style of the era has been preserved in each and every corner of the establishment. The living room and the gardened terrace are spaces that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Each one of the rooms is unique and all have been equipped with charm and all the comforts. This place enjoys a unique setting, only 20 km from San Sebastián and a 5-minute drive from San Sebastian Airport.
6,3 Good
Pros: Our stay was fine, the building had some charm, and the breakfast was good, but it was by far too expensive for what was delivered.
Cons: The price of almost 200 euro’s per night without breakfast was ridiculous compared to the value that was delivered. The bathroom needs an update. Showering in the bath with a curtain is not acceptable for this price. No additional services provided. No sound proofing, no safe, no coffee/ tea making in the room. Therefore we do not recommend this hotel and will not stay again. I am afraid the hotel is the biggest disappointment in our quite large travel history. However, as said before our stay was in principle okay, but not for this price.
7,0 Good
Pros: Living in a castle.

Pros: Great breakfast and no problem parking outside. Not a lot to do in the old town but I would recommend a great bar called Danontzat and a visit to the church. We also visited Irun by bus but missed the numerous shops and bars in the new town below.
Cons: Had lunch at the bar next door which used the hotel terrace but the service was poor and the food was not much better.

Pros: Great location for old town and sights. Quiet street (car traffic limited many hours of the day). The hotel is modern and good looking. Breakfast was very goodl
Cons: Small rooms, but well-organized and complete.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Clean room and spaces.
Cons: The taste of the hotel is very particular. No US plug. So if you bring a shaver, you are in trouble. The hotel directory in the room was not coherent. It was written the gym was openned untill 10pm and when you arrive their, it was open only untill 9 pm. The room door didn’t close totally so I had to make sure it would close behind me. In order to access to the wifi, I had to proceed to certain pages that the receptionist didn’t give at check-in. NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER. I’ve been to many other places with better amenities and at least a welcoming water.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The hotel was clean and presentable and the reception and cafe bar staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed an evening in the cafe bar.
Cons: The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We were woken early both mornings by the bin men emptying bins outside. The shower of the next door room was very noisy in our room (Michael Caine) and impossible to sleep through. The food in the main restaurant was poor. We were unable to put drinks bought at the cocktail bar on to our bill and the Nespresso martini was average.

Cons: Nothing.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the wheelchair accessible bathroom was super! The location was great as it was an easy 20 minute walk to the beach and town. Or a bus journey from right outside the hotel. Easy access to the river and central bus station as well. Breakfast was good however not worth the money as the are great coffee shops very close by. All in all a great stay. We would come again.
Cons: We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room which was pretty good. However I would suggest a slightly better layout to give a wheelchair user better movement around the room.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Great location - a short walk from centre but in a neighbourhood with small shops which were great value The staff were friendly and welcoming - special mention to Sandra on reception Great transport links Clean modern rooms Nespresso machine luckily I had pods but they provided some Mini bar was really cheap compared to a lot of hotels Secure underground parking which cost extra but was perfect as we had a car full of items from a wedding
Cons: I thought it was all great - I’d certainly return
5,5 Okay
Pros: House keeper was very good.
Cons: Noisy as we were next to the lift The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. 20-25 minute walk to the beach etc. Parking over priced and really should be free as the hotel price isn’t cheap.

Pros: The room was beautiful and clean, with a great view. Breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety including hot and cold offerings. Parking was available and easily accessible with the ability to leave the car although we checked-out while we did some site seeing.
Cons: I understand that we are in a previously used castle and accommodations like air-conditioning were not available back then but with many modernizations to the castle to make it a hotel, air-conditioning would have been fantastic. The fan fully serviced us since we left the window open due to a cool/rainy night but we did have a couple of bugs enter the room.
6,3 Good
Pros: A wonderful view from the terrace, and a real castle.
Cons: Drinks were not automatically served on the terrace, only after asking inside. The bath was very slippery. There is no restaurant and no airco in the room.
9,5 Excellent
Pros: A stunning building of charm and history with a magnificent view across the Bay of Biscay to France. Loved the beautiful old town where the Parador was situated. A short walk into town. Lots of wonderful pinchos and tapas bars. Very festive with many locals and tourists. There is a wonderful waterfront walk around the bay. There are two outdoor bar areas with magnificent views. The hotel has a stunning atrium highlighting the old walls of the former fort where you can sit to have breakfast. We had a very special room with a fabulous view over the bay and a rear balcony inside the atrium. The staff were very helpful and friendly and happy to assist with restaurant reservations. Loved our stay here. Beautiful hotel and town.
Cons: We loved the hotel and the town.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing!! The building, the location, the setting are all fabulous. The staff were all great and the rooms spotless. Fantastic breakfast and the terrace is a great place to relax overlooking the estuary. Awesome!!
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable hotel tucked into an old fortress in the center of the old town in Hondarribia. The hotel located in a famous castle built by Charles V which is filled with historic rooms and comfortable lounges. Don't miss the outdoor terrace overlooking the picture perfect harbor which is a great place to relax under an umbrella on a sunny day. An outside elevator whisks guests down to the modern town and harbor with its many restaurants.
Cons: Carefully follow the directions to the hotel which winds through the town's many narrow one way streets to the hotel's hilltop location. Push the button on the left pillar to gain access to the locked parking area. Spaces are tight but usually available. An elevator lifts guests and luggage from the parking to the hotel front entrance. If you need help, leave luggage in your car and check in first and ask for assistance with luggage.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful old fortress that is now a hotel. Beautiful view of the bay. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Pros: Location excellent. Bed very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing really... little door to fuses etc kept swinging open... needs fixing. Everything else great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel near to sea with in walking distance hotel located in Down town and near to many restaurants and shops
Cons: maybe breakfast was not that good and need to improve when we enter to have breakfast no body assist us and there is many customers are walk in. I do not know if this is a restaurant not part of the hotel because there is a door open to street that means any body can walk in and order food.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Very central, clean, modern , pleasant staff, nice breakfast
Cons: We liked everything
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very central hotel, on street parking payable locally. Excellent restaurant and breakfast.
4,8 Okay
Pros: Overpriced dump that doesn't deliver what the price tag promises. WiFi wasn't working, which in 2016 just proves they didn't care enough to get a reliable connection (I needed it for work, not entertainment). Nor was it fixed during the time we were there. The "hotel parking" is blocks and blocks away, which defeats its purpose. And the maid barged into our room without even knocking, embarrassing my naked wife. Seriously? A bad experience at any price, but sbsolutely horrible for what this place charged
9,5 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful, parking easy access and a perfect location for the town, restaurants, port and beach.
Cons: A little noisy at night on the streets, but it was a Friday?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is central to everything. Just step out and you are in the middle of all the restaurants, bars and shops. Within 5 mins you are at the boat which takes you across to Hendaye in France (passengers only, not cars). The room was fantastic and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and well presented. We ate at the restaurant one lunchtime and again the food was excellent. Placed a 5 min walk from the bus stop which takes you to/from San Sebastian. A lovely very Spanish town worthy of a couple of days of your time.
Cons: We didn't mind but some people may be put off with the noise. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and there is something going on from 7am to at least midnight. We loved the atmosphere.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Fairly small but well appointed bedroom and bathroom, plenty of storage, all very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent location in the old fishing port area of town near bars and restaurants. Very quite at night as pedestrianised and the bars don't open late. We ate at the vg fish restaurant opposite the hotel and had breakfast at the little bar on the corner opposite the hotel, vg value. Would stay in this hotel again.
Cons: Nothing

Owner's art pieces decorating rooms and interiors. I've stayed in a wonderful room with over 180 panoramic view of a gorgeous nature around. This place makes you to want to do something creative - to write, to paint, to make decorative forms or just to watch how Hilda and Jose are working in their wonderful studio.
