Pros: Fatima and Paxti were marvellous hosts, with all the right information to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was a highlight!

Pros: Reviews should comment on what is offered, always be honest and compare to other properties listing. I stay in dozens of properties & expect what is offered. The description of the Basque accommodation and facilities is very accurate and built by the proud couple Patxi & Fatima. I had a better room than expected with a patio door leading to an elevated terrace with lovely views. There is a large lounge and an amazing garden to walk around. As I was walking there was no hesitation in providing an early breakfast to set me on my way. I really enjoyed the company and friendship of this couple in their lovely Basque home. Across the lawn and through a field but well out of sight or sound there is a restaurant serving food and refreshment. Thank You Fatima & Patxi!

Cons: There is absolutely nothing to dislike!

Pros: Just like staying in a home in the countryside away from everything. The couple that ran the place were incredible and very accommodating. The perfect place to start the Camino Norte.

Pros: Excellent, comfortable farm house stay, like a home from home, run by Fatima and Patxi, a wonderful welcoming couple.

Pros: Room spacious and airy .Doors opened out onto private balcony ,which was also spacious. Breakfast good with fruit,croissants ,breads,cheese and meat . Great coffee and hosts very welcoming and helpful.

Pros: Charm of the couple - Fatima and husband - who run this place. Peaceful, rural - if not remote - location. B&B only, so evening meal without 15 mins driving into town was at a popular bar 200 yards walk through a field. Menu simple, served by very friendly staff.

Pros: Fatima greeted us immediately and was very personable. She exercised our Spanish speaking abilities which was extra fun. She told us about the area, gave us a map, and even came to rescue us when we accidentally left our car in a supermarket garage over night.

Cons: The bed wasn't super comfy.

Pros: Serene and clean, the hotel is located within the residential area. Excellent neighborhood. Easy access to shops, restaurants and attractions. There was a wedding during our stays but the hotel was kind enough to inform us beforehand and surprisingly gave us a complimentary bottle of Spanish Cava, which we couldn't finish unfortunately. However, we really appreciate this experience planned for and it made our holiday really great.

Pros: Absolutely beautiful setting and architecture for our standards, appointments, rooms, beds all in good taste and comfortable. Staff very pleasant and helpful with dinner recommendations, moving about town. Breakfast is charged for but there are a lot of options in a love;y dining room. It’s worth the money if you actually eat breakfast.

Cons: The only disappointment for us was we either didn’t notice or it wasn’t stated the restaurant is closed midweek. Perhaps this is a shoulder season policy. There is a reduced dinner service for guests which we found a little spare. That meant we had to leave the property for dinner every night when we would have been as happy chilling there. The up side is we got to eat dinner at good local establishments.

Pros: A friendly, comfortable hotel. Although the room might be considered a little basic the bed was good and the en suite very clean. Breakfast, which consisted largely of homemde baked goods as well as homemade yogurt, was excellent. The hosts were friendly and provided good information about what to see and do. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel.

Pros: A family run hotel, in lovely setting. Staff (the family ) were extremely kind and helpful. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. The father is the chef and much of the food is made by him in the hotel.

Cons: The personnel was unfriendly, does not speak English and does not respond to email. Way too expensive. Will never visit again and I advise anyone to stay away from this horrible hotel. They are only after your money.

Pros: Overpriced dump that doesn't deliver what the price tag promises. WiFi wasn't working, which in 2016 just proves they didn't care enough to get a reliable connection (I needed it for work, not entertainment). Nor was it fixed during the time we were there. The "hotel parking" is blocks and blocks away, which defeats its purpose. And the maid barged into our room without even knocking, embarrassing my naked wife. Seriously? A bad experience at any price, but sbsolutely horrible for what this place charged

Pros: Comfortable hotel overlooking a beautiful street in Hondarribia’s Marina area. ( please see picture below, that was the view from our room) Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this area.

Pros: The hotel was in a nice area; it was clean and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful. I am usually very generous with my evaluation and more detailed, but in this case my opinion is colored by the unacceptable behavior of the people at the breakfast room. I hope it was only a one time event, because otherwise I would rate the hotel higher. ( We rented two rooms, both were fine). See below.

Cons: I would have given a much higher evaluation if it wasn't for the people at the breakfast area. I went down to have breakfast 15-20 minutes before the end of the advertised breakfast time. I was told that they already packed away the buffet breakfast, but if I wanted I could have an orange juice. They didn't even offer food and it was raining outside.This is unacceptable! All the negative rating reflects the bad experience in breakfast room.

Pros: This property is historically significant and is beautiful.The location couldn’t be better. Very impressive structure and love all the medieval decorations / art works. The view across the water from our room was great. The staff are very helpful, the cafe and breakfast both good.

Cons: Property is under renovation and the nice patio overlooking the harbor is closed. The main atrium is also closed. Very little access to this hotel

Pros: Excellent location, amazing service, the staff at breakfast went out of their way to accommodate each guest. It’s a very special place, We would stay again without a doubt.

Cons: Must pay for parking, when there is free parking down the road. We were unaware there was a choice, and would have appreciated the knowledge to have a choice.

Pros: great location with a lovely terrace and historic function rooms which were not used by guests but we were able to view.

Cons: Room had a very small window onto an internal courtyard so no outlook at all. Staff on duty on the terrace for drinks were very inattentive.

Pros: Great location in the old part of Hondarribia. A lovely building. Good breakfast. Good service. We had a superior room with access to balcony and great views across to France. There's a few good restaurants in the immediate vicinity and others a 5 minute walk away at the marina.

Pros: What a great welcome from Kikis! She couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was immaculately clean and had a stunning view of the mountains. We explored nearby Hondarribia, which is well worth a visit. I loved all the artworks around the house, made by Kikis and her husband. The breakfast was just what we wanted- with stewed figs from their own tree, yoghurt, cheese, tomatoes, toast and excellent coffee. We are coming back!

Pros: Very unique place. Everything in this place is nice and new, very clean and comfy. Place is near a very historic castle-town Hondarribia - great place to visit. This is a Dream-place for creative people and for those who is looking for serene place surrounded by rolling hills. Amazing owners - artists who may give you different workshops! Owner's art pieces decorating rooms and interiors. I've stayed in a wonderful room with over 180 panoramic view of a gorgeous nature around. This place makes you to want to do something creative - to write, to paint, to make decorative forms or just to watch how Hilda and Jose are working in their wonderful studio.

Cons: This is a hard to find place which GPS doesn't recognizes by street address. Needs few more sings on both sides of the highway warning about coming turn into a tiny path.

Pros: The hosts are very nice. The surroundings are beautiful. The breakfast is also good. And the room is very clean.

Pros: Lying by the pool in the late afternoon sun for an hour after a cooling dip.

Cons: The place isn’t a boutique hotel. It’s a suburban AirBnB.No privacy or aspect. Our « suite » was immediately adjacent to the breakfast room and management area. No aircon or fan ! Couldn’t sleep -too hot! And couldn’t open windows - mosquitoes!!

Pros: Location is great, quiet -under the flight path but only 6 flights a day and we are aviation fans! Staff couldn’t be more helpful and were lovely.

Cons: The room was very small, no air-conditioning (it was only 23C outside and it was still too hot in the room) no tea and coffee facilities in the room, they say they are environmentally friendly but the toiletries were high in chemicals and not local or organic. Safe was broken. Basically if we had booked a 3* Bed and Breakfast (and not at the price we paid) we would have been very happy, but this cost us more than a 5 star hotel in the centre of Toulouse the night before and just does not compare on any level.

Pros: Location is a big plus, close to public transport and fabulous beach and also restaurants

Cons: Hard bed also no information provided in room re. facilities, garden and pool so we actually couldn't find them on Sunday and the reception was closed.

Pros: This hotel feels more like a home away from home than a hotel, warm and cozy, the owners welcome made the whole experience amazing. The room(s) had a pool whcih we had all to ourselves and the best beach is 3 minutes away. As a family it was amazing to have a full kitchen and so much space available.

Cons: Cleanliness of the windows, floors and kitchen could be better. Obviously being so close to the sea keeping windows and floors impeccable is a challenge but having a crawling baby makes you see every nook in detail.

Cons: This guesthouse was sold to us as a hotel, but it is really a "Bed & Breakfast. Maybe I didn´t do my homework well enough when I made the booking, but when you think you are coming to a hotel with it´s facilities you get disapointed when arriving in a Bed & Breakfast. The facility itself is cosy in many ways and the owner has made what they could. Our "Suite" was located next to the breakfastroom and to the pool on the other side. This means also lack of privacy in the room.

Pros: we staied there for one night on our road trip through france. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The price is okay for the region. It was the cheapest I found when I booked. The breakfast is not included in the price but it is a good breakfast.

Pros: As we were on our way home from Spain to Paris this hotel was perfect for an over night stop. Right next to Hendaye station, only five minutes walk. We decided to a light breakfast in the bar. This was fine and consisted of bread, croissants, some jam, glass of orange juice and a choice of tea or coffee.

Cons: We found it hard to find reception as it is over in the Hotel De La Gare bar area. Head there first to check in. Not a great choice of draught beers in the bar either.
