Everything about the car, pick-up and drop off was great. But I was frustrated because I wanted to find out if I there was after-hours drop off, but there was no way to reach hertz by phone and actually talk to a human. I called at least 20 times. In the end I had to call the road-size emergency number to actually talk to someone and they were able to help me out.Reviewed Mar 25 2024

I needed to change my reservation to a different day, but when I called the Hertz reservation desk at Sanford, she told me that I needed to call the 3rd party who I booked it with, which was Kayak, but your website says I need to make any changes with the car rental company. I would of been willing to pay extra money to make the change! But, instead I had to eat the $160 I paid you and book another car with a different rental company. Needless to say, I will never use Kayak ever again!Reviewed Dec 13 2021

No midsize cars, got a compact SUV, car rental was 15 miles from airport with no shuttle. Cost over 75.00 to get back and forth to rental location. Just not a good experience.Reviewed Nov 19 2021

The drop off agent tried to charge me $84 extra on a prepaid reservation. I said that’s not possible. We went inside, and he again gave me a receipt showing the extra charge. I reviewed it, and found he had charged me a gas fee even though the car was returned full. He removed the fee when I showed him his error. Our rental car had a bad battery. The car wouldn’t start a couple times and roadside assistance while lovely to speak to, wanted us to take the car to the shop, pay to have a battery put in and hope for a reimbursement. What should have happened is someone should have drove to us, in another car and they take the one we had. I feel that was terrible customer service. It took us 2 hours to start the thing and drive to auto zone, have it tested… that’s 2 hours lost on our vacation.Reviewed Nov 12 2021
